  1. Good Evening Dinar Vets, here's a new opinion & comment by Pimpy that might be of interest to you. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They are simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq. RON *** Pimpy ***...the fact that the International Financial Action Group has already removed Iraq off their list of money laundering people...this is really big big news. Because this means the international community is starting to realize that Iraq is doing something about the levels of corruption in this country. Again, there's a meeting coming up with Trump real soon...at this pace we may see the Iraq dinar be recognized on the international scene really super soon here. [Q? : Having said that does that mean there's going to be a change in rate?] I don't know. But I know the first biggest step is to have the sovereignty of Iraq recognized internationally. That means restrictions get removed off their currency. [Q? : What does that mean Pimpy?] Well that means if you have a bank that deals with foreign currency you should be able to go in and purchase it or exchange it...if they remove these types of restrictions that's what we want...The next move after that would be the reinstatement of a rate...

  2. Good Evening Dinar Vets, here's a new opinion & comment by Frank26 that might be of interest to you. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They are simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq. RON *** Frank26 [ Question: "Frank, when it happens will you give me the "800#"? Guru XYZ says that he's gonna give us 800# - the only place where we can exchange our dinars." ] Oh ye of little knowledge, and you believe that? No, there's no such thing as an 800 number for you to call to exchange. What you want to do is you're going to find hopefully a large bank...the smaller banks are handicapped. You can go to a small bank but you're risking your currency to be divorced from you. That's not good...major banks that's where I would go. There are brokers they could probably help you as well too if you trust them...find a major reputable bank. Tell them you want to do business with them and get the perks. Everything that you can...if you feel they're ripping you off go somewhere else. You're in control. You've got the power for the first time in a long time. Don't lose it... I couldn't resist posting this - that there are still people believing these idiot gurus on other sites who try to be important by intimating they have access to special 800#'s for exchanging IQD once there is a currency value change. I don't think any of our DV members believe any of this 800# nonsense. At least Frank set him straight...RON

  5. Thank you Adam. I have been off work since the virus started. I was sent home by my managers because I am very high risk, Basically, if I get coved I would not be considered viable for a ventilator. So been self isolating. Have spent loads of money in the process. Bought things for my home and garden. I have spent a lot of time relaxing in my garden and I am now so used to it I do not want to return to work. Hoping the next update is to say we can go to the bank.

  6. Good Morning Dinar Vets, here's a few opinions & comments by Frank26 & MilitiaMan that might be of interest to you. Remember, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They are simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq. RON *** Frank26 *** When the value goes up may I suggest you walk don't run. Shhh...Don't feel that if it went up in the next hour - don't feel 'oh, gosh I've got to get to a bank right away. Oh, I'll get to a bank tomorrow morning!' Think twice about that. It's up to you...IMO the Central bank of Iraq is not going to retrieve the 3 zeros right away...I don't see where they're going to say 'okay we just raised the value of our currency and the 3 zero notes we're gonna cancel them out. You're out of luck sucker!' ...I don't know how long they're going to give you though. They say they coexist with the new small category notes for about ten year but that's in country. How long will they be good outside of the country of Iraq? I don't know...I don't believe that we have the issue to run right away when the value goes up...watch, look, listen, learn from others. Learn from their mistakes... *** MilitiaMan *** Article: "A Kurdish deputy reveals the fact that Baghdad refused to receive the Kurdistan delegation and the reason for his late visit" Quote: "The Kurdish delegation will visit Baghdad next week, and it is awaiting the easing of the conditions that Baghdad requested from the region with regard to oil delivery, and revenues of 50% of the border outlets...There is hope regarding negotiations between the territorial and federal governments, after entering international mediation, that a comprehensive agreement will be reached between the two parties." I can just imagine the room they are in and how many international entities are working to help the mediation process through to the finish. We all know this is about money and salaries, however, it is even more than that. It is about the 2019 FMLA too..imo The trigger for money/foreign currency reserves to get a leg up... When there is an RI, you can bet your bottom Dinar that there is going to be some serious money movement and not just in Iraq...

  7. What a ship of fools. Poor PM Kazami. The Maliki and his family of crooks stole the country finances blind, then they hand him a shiz bucket to deal with. I expect, in usual Iraq fashion, they will wait until the end of August to throw their hands in the air and beg debt forgiveness and all the time an outstretched hand begging for more 'loans' which they cannot pay. Could we even hope that they are pro-active and make a currency move well in advance of September 1st??? I still contend the new Iraq flag should reflect the GOI mindset.

  10. Iraq needs another 28 billion dollars to secure employee salaries 7/20/2020 13:38:03 Shafak News / A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee said, on Thursday, that Iraq still needs $ 28 billion to secure employee salaries until the end of the current year 2020. The Iraqi government is struggling to secure employee salaries and other operating expenses due to the collapse in oil prices due to the Corona pandemic, which has paralyzed large sectors of the world economy. The country relies on revenue from the sale of crude to finance 95 percent of the country's expenditures. The salaries of government employees in Iraq were delayed by about ten days after their usual launch date "The central bank has secured the salaries of employees for three months, which are June, July, and August, according to the local and foreign borrowing law," committee member Jamal Cougar told Shafaq News. He pointed out that the monthly salaries of employees are estimated at $ 5.5 billion. Cougar added, "The government needs $ 28 billion to secure employee salaries from June to the end of 2020." And that "the money is divided into 18 billion dollars from domestic and external borrowing, and the rest of oil revenues."

It seems likely that Scylla is now starting to swallow parts the world before Charybdis will finish it off. A world severely weakened by debt and mismanagement is unlikely to have the strength of Odysseus to pass both obstacles without disastrous consequences. 16. https://fee.org/articles/3-states-account-for-42-percent-of-all-covid-19-deaths-in-america-why/ 3 States Account for 42 Percent of All COVID-19 Deaths in America. Why? Despite the recent coronavirus surge in southern states, three states—New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts—account for about 42 percent of COVID-19 deaths in America. Why? Thursday, July 9, 2020 In a recent article in The Atlantic, Thomas Chatterton Williams decried America’s handling of the coronavirus. The words “utter disaster” are used, and Williams, an expatriate, contrasts America’s response to that of France, where he currently lives. “As Donald Trump’s America continues to shatter records for daily infections, France, like most other developed nations and even some undeveloped ones, seems to have beat back the virus,” Williams writes. To be sure, the US response to the coronavirus was far from perfect (more on that later). But the article shows one of the challenges with this pandemic: even as more data is acquired, the picture doesn’t always get clearer. In some ways, COVID-19 data are like a Rorschach blot from which writers, politicians, and experts can glean whatever conclusions they wish to find. Take Sweden, where daily COVID-19 deaths recently reached zero. According to Newsweek editorial director Hank Gilman, Sweden’s “lighter touch” approach was a failurebecause seven times as many people died there than in neighboring Scandnavian countries such as Finland and Norway. He is not alone in the assessment. On the other hand, Sweden suffered far fewer deaths per capita than several European neighbors that instituted strict lockdowns—including Belgium, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom—and has avoided some of the economic fallout other nations have endured. Unlike other countries, its currency is growing stronger. Indeed, Sweden’s death rate is remarkably close to that of France, which Williams praised as a model in contrast to the “utter disaster” in the US. However, the US actually has a lower per capita death rate than both Sweden and France—at least for now. (While it’s true COVID cases are on the rise again in the US, deaths recently reached three-month lows.) This raises questions about how we measure success in the age of COVID-19. While most attention is being paid to rising case numbers, death tolls would seem to be the most important metric. While US deaths per capita (401/1M) put the country among the ten highest in the world—ahead of France and Sweden, but just below the Netherlands—those numbers also don’t tell the entire story. Few may have noticed that 42 percent of all COVID deaths in the US come from just three states—New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts. These three states account for nearly 56,000 of the nearly 133,000 deaths in the US, even though they represent just 10 percent of the population. If these three states are excluded, the US suddenly finds itself somewhere in between nations such as Luxembourg (176/1M) and Macedonia (166/1M), where some of the better fatality numbers in Europe are found. Why have New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts suffered so much more than other US states? We don’t yet know the answer to that question, but evidence suggests it could be policy related. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo earlier this year received a great deal of criticism when the state’s policy of prohibiting nursing homes from screening residents for COVID-19 came to light. Cuomo eventually reversedthat decision under intense criticism from public health experts and trade group leaders. This week, the New York State Department of Health issued a report that concluded 6,326 COVID-positive residents were admitted to nursing homes between March 25 and May 8 as a result of the order. ”The data shows that the nursing home residents got COVID from the staff, and presumably, also from those who visited them. Unfortunately, we did not understand the disease early on, we did not realize how widespread it was within our community, and therefore, it was able to be introduced into a vulnerable population,” said New York Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker. The report, however, also claimed that “most patients admitted to nursing homes from hospitals were no longer contagious when admitted and therefore were not a source of infection … [and] … nursing home quality was not a factor in nursing home fatalities.” The report cites the high nursing home fatality rates of Massachusetts and New Jersey as additional evidence that New York was not an outlier in nursing home deaths. “...an examination of fatalities in our neighboring states—despite having populations much smaller than New York’s—illustrates fatalities at these facilities were not a New York-specific phenomenon: Connecticut reports 3,124 deaths in these facilities, New Jersey reports 6,617, and Massachusetts reports 5,115, to New York’s 6,432 fatalities.” However, it’s worth noting that both New Jersey and Massachusetts had similar policies in place, according to the AARP and other news stories. Moreover, the actual number of nursing home deaths in New York is difficult to know, since New York changed its reporting so that nursing home residents who die of COVID-19 are not counted as a nursing home death if they die at a hospital. The context of the US numbers matters for several reasons. For one, understanding why New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts have suffered so much more from the coronavirus may hold keys to combating the virus. Secondly, there is currently a great deal of scrutiny on states such as Florida, Texas, and Arizona, which have seen case numbers increase in recent weeks, a spike that began in mid-June after states reopened their economies. The implication is that these states dropped the ball by reopening too soon. None of these states, however, has a per capita fatality rate that even approaches New Jersey, Massachusetts, or New York. Below are the figures as of July 7. Deaths per million: New Jersey: 1,728.7 New York: 1,660 Massachusetts: 1,189 Arizona: 265 Florida: 179 Texas: 94 Considering these numbers, one would not expect to see a governor from New Jersey, New York, or Massachusetts lecture these other states on their handling of the coronavirus. But that’s exactly what Gov. Cuomo did, claiming his state-ordered lockdown “saved lives” and chastening governors who opened their economies. “I say to them all look at the numbers,” Cuomo said, referring to leaders in the states seeing rises in COVID-19 cases. “You played politics with this virus, and you lost. You told the people of this state, you told the people of this country, the White House, ‘Don’t worry about it. Go about your business.’” Cuomo makes no mention of the social costs of the economic lockdowns—mass unemployment, widespread bankruptcy, and surging mental healthdeterioration, drug abuse, and global poverty. Nor does he mention his state’s catastrophically high COVID death toll. The extent to which policy decisions are linked to the high fatality rates in these states is still unknown. We’re in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and still learning about the virus. But that is precisely why lawmakers should exercise caution in their policy prescriptions. In his 1974 Nobel Prize speech, the economist F.A. Hayek warned against the temptation to use collective action with incomplete knowledge, saying such action would likely cause more harm than good. “To act on the belief that we possess the knowledge and the power which enable us to shape the processes of society entirely to our liking, knowledge which in fact we do not possess, is likely to make us do much harm,” Hayek stated. “The recognition of the insuperable limits to his knowledge ought indeed to teach the student of society a lesson of humility which should guard him against becoming an accomplice in men’s fatal striving to control society – a striving which makes him not only a tyrant over his fellows, but which may well make him the destroyer of a civilization which no brain has designed but which has grown from the free efforts of millions of individuals.” Hayek saw a world that increasingly seemed to believe central planners could solve any and all social problems. Such a worldview carried the seed of great harm, he believed. We don’t yet know how this pandemic or economic collapse will end, but some have predicted it shaping up to be a blunder of historic proportions. “The first half of 2020 will go down in history as the largest nationwide public policy failure since the Great Depression,” the economic historian Phil Magness recently observed. “A part of that failure derives from the largest wide-scale suppression of economic and social liberties in most of our lifetimes, all executed to negligible effect at solving the problem it intended to target.” If Magness is correct, the crisis, though tragic, may also offer a healthy dose of an elixir Hayek would say humans desperately need: humility. “The recognition of the insuperable limits to his knowledge ought indeed to teach the student of society a lesson of humility which should guard him against becoming an accomplice in men’s fatal striving to control society,” Hayek concluded in his address. The lockdowns and the nursing home tragedies show just how destructive and fatal such striving to control society can be.

  17. 10-07-2020 04:59 PM Deputy reveals ongoing conflict over the management of the Central Bank, Amanat Baghdad and the Investment Authority Baghdad/ Al-Akhbari A member of the parliamentary integrity committee Alia Nassif, on Friday, revealed a conflict between the political blocs currently taking place on the administration of the Central Bank and the Secretariat of Baghdad and bodies of integrity, investment and others, as well as special degrees, pointing out that the last parliamentary bloc was formed, referring to the bloc "Iraqis" headed by Ammar al-Hakim, is to support the government of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and the return is to get positions in independent bodies and special degrees. "A parliamentary bloc was recently formed with a deal that includes the support of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi in parliament for the positions of independent bodies and special degrees," Nassif told Al-Akhbari, in a clear reference to the Iraqi bloc. "The prime minister is currently in real trouble as the last bloc announced has reached Al-Kadhimi with his support, with a dedicated share of the positions of agents, general managers and others," nassif said. "The party is trying to divide everything," she said, adding that "there is a conflict over independent bodies, including the central bank administration, the Integrity Commission, the Investment Authority, the Secretariat of Baghdad and others." "I am with the electoral entitlement that requires the distribution of ministries, but the administrative apparatus cannot be distributed and dismantled, and the number of smallest jobs reaches the service factor between the parties and they are changed in the light of quotas," she said. "Al-Kadhimi is brave, but he has indulged in party demands and is in line with her demands," she said. https://www.ikhnews.com/index.php?page=article&id=221105

  19. caddieman, I appreciate you offering articles supporting your beliefs, but try and find ones with better numbers. When I read something that has a range of 9.3 to 49 millions, I immediately question the accuracy of the findings. If the best the CD (which is suppose to be the "go to experts") can do is a range of approximately 40 million, then their credibility is trash. A High School research paper could come up with a more accurate guesstimate than that. JMHO.

  20. This if for the people who think covid is just another flu! By the numbers: Everything you need to know about the flu shot, flu virus, and staying healthy during flu season Flu statistics The reason you hear so much about the flu each year is because it’s incredibly common: Each year, 5% to 20% of the U.S. population will get the flu on average. A new study found that adults get the flu twice per decade on average, but children are infected once every other year on average. There have been 9.3 to 49 million cases of the flu 2010 according to the CDC. And the effects are serious. An average of 200,000 Americans are hospitalized each year because of complications from the illness. And as for flu death statistics, 3,000 to 49,000 people die each year from flu-related causes in the U.S. https://www.singlecare.com/blog/flu-statistics-infographic/

  24. Some excellent points MD11Fr8Dawg. I quit taking the flu vaccine several years ago because the vaccine made me sicker than the flu itself. Also, I would end up with the flu anyway. Since I stopped taking the flu vaccine, I am healthier with far fewer bouts with flu. I still believe certain vaccines are prudent where seasonal ones are not. The key is to have a frank discussion with one's health professional for overall health assessments and best actions for the individual. Things like preexisting conditions, effectiveness, side effects, incubation times, long term effects, and other exposure issues need to be part of the discussion. The overall best thing is for one's immune system to naturally respond to the contagions. What is not mentioned is exposure to UV and sunlight exposure to aid the body in manufacurting Vitamin D exceptionally beneficial for a well functioning immune system. This point here alone may have been the key to me not being adversely affected by COVID. Quarantining idividuals is NOT the thing to do for merely the concern of contracting COVID. Many contagions have an incubation time of days where a person can be contagious while not showing any symptoms - if ever. Besides, UV the sun provides kills many contagions so a win/win for eliminating contracting COVID in exposed sunlight and getting the Vitamin D production to further aid the immune system. COVID has had a wide range of effects amplified by preexisting conditions. I talked to an elderly Pakistani who I worked with that has family in Pakistan and India. The reason so many Chinese men and Middle Eastern men were affected by COVID is due to them being heavy smokers. Nicotine thickens the blood. The cigarette residue that accumulates in the lungs compounds the COVID caused lung tissue swelling effect. The aveoli can not transfer the CO2 out or O2 in so persons are more apt to suffocate eventhough placed on resperators. The nicotine blood thickening is likely the key to being the death knell. All this to say each contagion typically targets specific body organs. COVID appears to typically target the lungs. The best thing to do is stay calm since stress can compound the lung tissue swelling effect of COVID.

  42. https://www.foxnews.com/media/cnn-ignores-ap-report-cuomo-nursing-homes CNN ignored damning report on nursing home deaths in New York under Gov. Cuomo The governor's younger brother hosts CNN's 'Cuomo Prime Time' Brian Flood1 day ago Cuomo's nursing home strategy was 'fatal,' didn't follow federal guidelines: Rep. Stefanik CNN continues to ignore or downplay news that is harmful to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., whose younger brother anchors the network’s most popular show, failing to mention a new report linking a controversial decision by Gov. Cuomo to thousands of deaths inside his state’s nursing homes. The Associated Press reported late Monday that “New York hospitals released more than 6,300 recovering coronavirus patients into nursing homes during the height” of the coronavirus pandemic under a “controversial, now-scrapped policy.” CNN'S LATEST LOVEFEST CUOMO BROTHERS LOVEFEST SLAMMED: 'SHAM OF JOURNALISTIC PRINICPLES,' 'CLEAR CONFLICT OF INTEREST The AP reported that Cuomo and other state officials argued the decision was “was not to blame for one of the nation's highest nursing home death tolls,” noting the governor has “taken intense criticism over the policy.” A search of transcripts revealed that CNN completely ignored the AP report on air Monday and Tuesday with absolutely zero coverage. A search of CNN’s website did not find any digital coverage, either. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo regularly appears on CNN for playful interview with his brother. (Darren McGee/Office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo via AP) CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment. More than 6,400 deaths have been linked to the coronavirus in New York’s nursing home and long-term care facilities, the AP reported. Through much of the coronavirus outbreak, there has been growing scrutiny over the Democratic governor's order in late March that forced nursing homes to accept patients who tested positive for coronavirus, despite testing deficiencies for both residents and staff. Cuomo signed an executive order on May 11 reversing the policy, stopping hospitals from sending infected patients back to nursing homes and ramping up testing for staff. "The directive was intended to help free up hospital beds for the sickest patients as cases surged. But several relatives, patient advocates and nursing administrators who spoke to the AP at the time blamed the policy for helping to spread the virus among the state’s most fragile residents," the AP reported. GOV. ANDREW CUOMO GETS A PASS FROM CNN ON NURSING HOME POLICY CONTROVERSY CNN’s decision to skip the AP report came after weeks of CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” namesake, Chris Cuomo, coming under fire for a series of widely panned interviews with his older brother. The Cuomo siblings often joke around, poke fun at each other and have even attempted prop comedy. The CNN host recently admitted he’s "not objective" when interviewing his brother, who he called “the best politician in the country.” Back in May, the CNN anchor sparked outrage when he attempted prop comedy instead of addressing the nursing home controversy during a 25-minute interview with his older brother. Last month the CNN anchor conducted the 11th interview with his sibling since the coronavirus pandemic began, but it was the first time the nursing home controversy that had been dogging the New York governor even came up. CUOMO BROTHERS' JOKEY CNN INTERVIEW IGNORING NURSING HOME CONTROVERSY SPARKS OUTRAGE "Nursing homes. People died there, they didn't have to, it was mismanaged and the operators have been given immunity. What do you have to say about that?" the CNN anchor asked. "Several statements that are not correct, but that's OK. It's your show, you say whatever you want to say," Gov. Cuomo responded. The governor then called the nursing home deaths "the most tragic situation" and pointed to how there were nursing home deaths "all across the country" and said "we have to figure out how to do it better the next time" before the next virus wave occurs. At the end of the interview, the CNN anchor showered the governor with praise. CNN'S CHRIS CUOMO FINALLY ASKS BROTHER SOFTBALL QUESTION ABOUT NY NURSING HOME CONTROVERSY “I'm wowed by what you did and more importantly, I'm wowed by how you did it," the CNN anchor told his brother. "Obviously, I love you as a brother. Obviously, I'll never be objective. Obviously, I think you're the best politician in the country.” Back in May, the CNN anchor sparked outrage when he attempted prop comedy instead of addressing the nursing home controversy during a 25-minute interview with his older brother, who he calls the “Love Gov” on-air. The “Cuomo Prime Time” namesake played a clip of his brother taking a coronavirus test where a nurse placed a cotton swab up his nostril and joked about the size of his sibling’s nose, complete with props. "Is it true that this was the swab that the nurse was actually using on you?" the primetime host asked his brother while holding an overly sized cotton swab. The CNN host then quickly followed by presenting him an even larger cotton swab, asking his brother if that was the one the nurse used on him. THE ATLANTIC SLAMS CNN'S CUOMO-CUOMO 'ACT' FOR PURSUING RATINGS OVER JOURNALISM The Hill media reporter Joe Concha labeled the series of interviews "Keeping Up With the Cuomos" because they resembled the Kardashian family reality TV series as much as they resemble a newscast. “Gov. Cuomo, in terms of his performance, for Chris Cuomo to say that he is wowed by it, and how he did it, shows that he shouldn’t play a TV anchor anymore, he should go work for the Cuomo campaign if and when he runs for president, and be his spokesman because that’s basically, it appears, to be his job at this point,” The Hill media reporter Joe Concha told Trace Gallagher on “America’s Newsroom” last month. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Chris Cuomo isn’t the only CNN personality to fawn over the New York governor. Recent headlines on CNN’s website include, “Andrew Cuomo may be the single most popular politician in America right now,” “Gov. Cuomo got tested for COVID-19 at a press conference to show how easy it is” and “Andrew Cuomo is down for Robert De Niro to play him.” CNN has been widely criticized for its favorable coverage of Gov. Cuomo and the network has downplayed the nursing home controversy for months, with passing on the AP report being the latest example.
