  1. This could be funny if it did not hit so close to home... $5.37! That's what the kid behind the counter at Taco Bell said to me. I dug into my pocket and pulled out some lint and two dimes and something that used to be a Jolly Rancher. Having already handed the kid a five-spot, I started to head back out to the truck to grab some change when the kid with the Elmo hairdo said the hardest thing anyone has ever said to me. He said, "It's OK. I'll just give you the senior citizen discount." I turned to see who he was talking to and then heard the sound of change hitting the counter in front of me. "Only$4.68" he said cheerfully. I stood there stupefied. I am 56, not even 60 yet? A mere child! Senior citizen? I took my burrito and walked out to the truck wondering what was wrong with Elmo. Was he blind? As I sat in the truck, my blood began to boil. Old? Me? I'll show him, I thought. I opened the door and headed back inside. I strode to the counter, and there he was waiting with a smile. Before I could say a word, he held up something and jingled it in front of me, like I could be that easily distracted! What am I now? A toddler? "Dude! Can't get too far without your car keys, eh?" I stared with utter disdain at the keys. I began to rationalize in my mind! "Leaving keys behind hardly makes a man elderly! It could happen to anyone!" I turned and headed back to the truck. I slipped the key into the ignition, but it wouldn't turn. What now? I checked my keys and tried another. Still nothing. That's when I noticed the purple beads hanging from my rear view mirror. I had no purple beads hanging from my rear view mirror. Then, a few other objects came into focus: The car seat in the back seat. Happy Meal toys spread all over the floorboard. A partially eaten doughnut on the dashboard. Faster than you can say ginkgo biloba, I flew out of the alien vehicle. Moments later I was speeding out of the parking lot, relieved to finally be leaving this nightmarish stop in my life. That is when I felt it, deep in the bowels of my stomach: hunger! My stomach growled and churned, and I reached to grab my burrito, only it was nowhere to be found. I swung the truck around, gathered my courage, and strode back into the restaurant one final time. There Elmo stood, draped in youth and black nail polish. All I could think was, "What is the world coming to?" All I could say was, "Did I leave my food and drink in here"? At this point I was ready to ask a Boy Scout to help me back to my vehicle, and then go straight home and apply for Social Security benefits. Elmo had no clue. I walked back out to the truck, and suddenly a young lad came up and tugged on my jeans to get my attention. He was holding up a drink and a bag. His mother explained, "I think you left this in my truck by mistake." I took the food and drink from the little boy and sheepishly apologized. She offered these kind words: "It's OK. My grandfather does stuff like this all the time." All of this is to explain how I got a ticket doing 85 in a 40 mph zone. Yessss, I was racing some punk kid in a Toyota Prius. And no, I told the officer, I'm nottoo old to be driving this fast. As I walked in the front door, my wife met me halfway down the hall. I handed her a bag of cold food and a $300 speeding ticket. I promptly sat in my rocking chair and covered up my legs with a blankey. The good news was that I had successfully found my way home

  9. An Alabama high school graduation delivered a lot more than pomp and circumstance Thursday night when a medical emergency in the audience prompted one of the graduates to take to the podium and offer an extraordinary prayer that has garnered the teen nationwide attention. According to the Trussville Tribune, as the Clay-Chalkville High School graduating class settled into Cougar Stadium for its commencement, a member of the crowd suffered a medical emergency. Departing senior Christian Crawford, who had opened the ceremony with a prepared prayer, took to the microphone to address the crowd, delivering a second, unscripted prayer with the poise and maturity of someone much older. “The graduation started off normal – pledge of allegiance, then speeches,” Crawford said Monday during an interview on “Fox & Friends.” Crawford said the graduates began to receive their diplomas when they heard calls of “medic, medic, medic” in the audience. About 5 minutes later, school librarian Shannon Petty asked Crawford to pray. “I said, 'Lord, let your will be done.'” Crawford told “Fox & Friends.” “I opened up my mouth and God began to speak through me.” The Holy Spirit began to speak and he said, through me, “God is a fixer,” the teen recalled. Crawford looked out at those in attendance and began: "Let's pray." "We know that prayer is power and that God is able," Crawford continued. Then, Crawford thanked the Lord, and said, "We ask that whatever is going on that you will fix it. We know that you can make the way. . . You are a God who is a healer, the fixer Jesus." “After I finished praying, that was it, I knew God was going to do his job,” Crawford told the Trussville Tribune. “We had 1,000-plus people there, so I know he heard our prayer, and I got an update on the [victim] and she’s doing fine.” Crawford, who worships at the New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, said he cannot take credit for the prayer he spoke. “I cannot take any credit for what God is doing through me for His glory,” said Crawford., an aspiring politician. After his prayer, people were telling Crawford, “that was a powerful prayer.” People were saying the prayer helped to restore their faith, he told “Fox & Friends.” I say well done young man. 11. Thanks Jim Good Post...I love the 'Iceland Solution'!!! ICELANDERS OVERTHREW CORRUPT GOVERNMENT AND REWROTE CONSTITUTION BANNING ROTHSCHILD ZIONIST BANKING FRAUD - NO WORD FROM US MEDIA. Looks like Hungary is following Iceland's model... Hungary Kills The Rothschild Banks: Ordered To Vacate Country. Hungary is making history of the first order along with Iceland & Russia. Not since the 1930s in Germany has a major European country dared to escape from the clutches of the Rothschild-controlled international banking cartels. This is stupendous news that should encourage nationalist patriots worldwide to increase the fight for freedom from financial tyranny. Already in 2011, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán promised to serve justice on his socialist predecessors, who sold the nation’s people into unending debt slavery under the lash of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the state of Israel. Those earlier administrations were riddled with Israelis in high places, to the fury of the masses, who finally elected Orbán’s Fidesz party in response. Hungary’s Orban & Russia’s Putin ISRAEL SENDS UKRAINE NAZIS ASSAULT WEAPONS AFTER OBAMA SENDS NETANYAHU $40 BILLION FOR MILITARY ARMAMENT 4/2015 According to a report on the German-language website “National Journal,” Orbán has now moved to unseat the usurers from their throne. The popular, nationalistic prime minister told the IMF that Hungary neither wants nor needs further “assistance” from that proxy of the Rothschild-owned Federal Reserve Bank. No longer will Hungarians be forced to pay usurious interest to private, unaccountable central bankers Instead, the Hungarian government has assumed sovereignty over its own currency and now issues money debt free, as it is needed. The results have been nothing short of remarkable. The nation’s economy, formerly staggering under deep indebtedness, has recovered rapidly and by means not seen since Germany. The Hungarian Economic Ministry announced that it has, thanks to a “disciplined budget policy,” repaid on August 12, 2013, the remaining €2.2B owed to the IMF—well before the March 2014 due date. Orbán declared: “Hungary enjoys the trust of investors,” by which is not meant the IMF, the Fed or any other tentacle of the Rothschild financial empire. Rather, he was referring to investors who produce something in Hungary for Hungarians and cause true economic growth. This is not the “paper prosperity” of plutocratic pirates, but the sort of production that actually employs people and improves their lives. With Hungary now free from the shackles of servitude to debt slavers, it is no wonder that the president of the Hungarian central bank, operated by the government for the public welfare and not private enrichment, has demanded that the IMF close its offices in that ancient European land. In addition, the state attorney general, echoing Iceland’s efforts, has brought charges against the last three previous prime ministers because of the criminal amount of debt into which they plunged the nation. The only step remaining, which would completely destroy the power of the banksters in Hungary, is for that country to implement a barter system for foreign exchange, as existed in Germany under the National Socialists and exists today in the Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, or BRICS, international economic coalition. And if the United States would follow the lead of Hungary, Americans could be freed from the usurers’ tyranny and likewise hope for a return to peaceful prosperity. Rothschild Too Big To Jail? 12. I'm probably going to get hammered for this, but it has been the elephant in the room when discussing marijuana use. While the media's portrayal of a pot user is some stoner with dirty clothes and an 8th grade education, that image has been the intentional demonetization of any cannabis user. There are far more humans using oils for topical relief around the globe than dropouts getting baked. Last week I was on a controls project, installing a system I designed for automated environmental air at a commercial grower. A very large auger attached to a powerful drill motor became bound up, which slammed my hand into a wood stud. While nothing was broken, my hand became swollen, and I was unable to move my fingers. One of the proprietors offered a topical cream, which I rubbed on. Within minutes the pain was gone. I was amazed. It is a cream made by a shaolin monk which uses cannibals, the recipe was handed down to him from his father, and had been in his family possibly since before Christ. I already knew Indians used pot, as well as peyote and mushrooms. Then started looking on the net for other applications. Below is an article that makes sense. With the unfair influence big pharma has over our government, is it such a big stretch to believe these oils and cremes have been intentionally kept a secret? As for me, I expect my own tub to be ready by next week, and will definitely keep it close by for any other mishaps.....DM Jesus & Cannabis See also: Marijuana in the Bible for much more “Jesus Healing the Blind” from 12th Century Basilica Catedrale di Santa Maria Nouva di Monreale in Sicily. Jesus was almost certainly a cannabis user and an early proponent of the medicinal properties of the drug, according to a study of scriptural texts published [in 2003]. The study suggests that Jesus and his disciples used the drug to carry out miraculous healings. The anointing oil used by Jesus and his disciples contained an ingredient called kaneh-bosem which has since been identified as cannabis extract, according to an article by Chris Bennett[reprinted here]. The incense used by Jesus in ceremonies also contained a cannabis extract, suggests Mr Bennett, who quotes scholars to back his claims. “There can be little doubt about a role for cannabis in Judaic religion,” Carl Ruck, professor of classical mythology at Boston University said. Referring to the existence of cannabis in anointing oils used in ceremonies, he added: “Obviously the easy availability and long-established tradition of cannabis in early Judaism would inevitably have included it in the [Christian] mixtures.” Mr Bennett suggests those anointed with the oils used by Jesus were “literally drenched in this potent mixture …. Although most modern people choose to smoke or eat pot, when its active ingredients are transferred into an oil-based carrier, it can also be absorbed through the skin”. Quoting the New Testament, Mr Bennett argues that Jesus anointed his disciples with the oil and encouraged them to do the same with other followers. This could have been responsible for healing eye and skin diseases referred to in the Gospels. “If cannabis was one of the main ingredients of the ancient anointing oil and receiving this oil is what made Jesus the Christ and his followers Christians, then persecuting those who use cannabis could be considered anti-Christ,” Mr Bennett concludes. (Source: Gaurdian.co.uk) Bennet isn’t alone in his assertions… “According to some scholars, cannabis was an ingredient of holy anointing oil mentioned in various sacred Hebrew texts. The herb of interest is most commonly known as kaneh-bosm (קְנֵה-בֹשֶׂם) (the singular form of which would be kaneh-bos) which is mentioned several times in the Old Testament as a bartering material, incense, and an ingredient in holy anointing oil used by the high priest of the temple. The Septuagint translates kaneh-bosm as calamus, and this translation has been propagated unchanged to most later translations of the old testament. However, Polish anthropologist Sula Benet published etymological arguments that the Aramaic word for hemp can be read as kannabos and appears to be a cognate to the modern word ‘cannabis’, with the root kan meaning “reed” or hemp and bosm meaning “fragrant”. Both cannabis and calamus are fragrant, reedlike plants containing psychotropic compounds. Rabbinical scholars appear to be divided on the subject; some reject the cannabis hypothesis and others affirm it.” (Source: Wikipedia – Religious and spiritual use of cannabis) Cannabis vs. calamus: Debate over the translation of kaneh-bosem Cannabis Sara Benetowa discovered that the Kaneh-Bosm or Cannabis is mentioned 5 times in the Old Testament. The first occurrence appears in the Holy Anointing Oil as Calamus, (Exodus 30:23). Sara argued that the translation of Calamus was a mistranslation which occurred in the oldest Bible the “Septuagint” and the mistranslation was copied in later versions.” “If you actually buy the Calamus translation for the Holy Oil, then you assume that God specified in Exodus 30:23 a drug commonly known as herbal Ecstasy. Calamus contains an ingredient called asarone. This is a hallucinogen which is metabolized in the liver as trimethoxyamphetamine which is known as herbal ecstasy. The Middle Eastern version of this plant is far more toxic than its North American Cousin. This is deadly to flies and other insects. The Exodus 30:23 reference refers to sweet Calamus. If you look at this in the Strong’s concordance where they spell this as qaneh rather than kaneh, they pronounce this as Kaw-Naw, a reed, calamus, and cane are listed as possible translations. The term sweet used in Exodus 30:23 in Hebrew is Bosem. According to the Webster’s New World Hebrew Dictionary, Bosem is perfume; scent. The Concordance: the Hebrew is Bosem #1314, fragrance, by impl. spicery; also the balsam plant:—-smell, spice, sweet (odour). In some Bibles sweet calamus is translated as aromatic or fragrant Cane. It is where the bosem is fused to the word kaneh or qaneh that the cannabis translation becomes apparent. So then to pronounce this we have kaw-naw-bosem, and is spelled in English qaneh-bosem or kaneh-bosem. In 1936, Sara Benetowa, later Known as Sula Benet, an etymologist from the Institute of Anthropological Sciences, in Warsaw wrote a treatise, “Tracing One Word Through Different Languages”. This wasa study on the word Cannabis, based on a study of the oldest Hebrew texts. Although the word cannabis was thought to be of Scythian origin, Benet’s research showed it had an earlier root in the Semitic Languages such as Hebrew. Benet demonstrated that the ancient Hebrew word for Cannabis is Kaneh -Bosem. She also did another study called Early Diffusion and Folk Uses of Hemp. On page 44, she states, “The sacred character of hemp in biblical times is evident from Exodus 30:23, where Moses was instructed by God to anoint the meeting tent and all of its furnishings with specially prepared oil, containing hemp.” On page 41 Sula Benet writes, “In the course of time, the two words kaneh and bosem were fused into one , kanabos or kannabus know to us from the Mishna”. According to the Webster’s New World Hebrew Dictionary, page 607 the Hebrew for hemp is kanabos. (Source) From “Thinking Baptists” The Holy Annointing Oil In 1980, a wave of interest in Benet’s work prompted numerous etymologists to agree with Benet’s reinterpretation of the word qaneh-bosm in Exodus. That year, scholars at Jerusalem Hebrew University confirmed her work, noting that the qaneh-bosm was mistranslated in the King James version of Exodus 30:23 as calamus (Latimer, 1988). That same year, Weston La Barre also confirmed Benet’s work, noting further that “the term kaneh-bosm occurs as early as both the Aramaic and the Hebrew versions of the Old Testament, hemp being used for rope in Solomon’s temple and in priestly robes, as well as carried in Biblical caravans”. More Archaeological Evidence Source A recent archeological expedition to Israel uncovered scrolls that appear to depict the story of Jesus’ crucifixion. On one of the scrolls is a sketch that shows a man, thought to be Jesus, smoking from a pipe. Below the drawing is the Hebrew word “kineboisin”, which translates to cannabis. Dr. Isaac Cohen, president of the South Israel Archaeological Society, believes that this is an extremely significant discovery for the theological community. He described the discovery as “a finding that could change the way many perceive the world.” Cannabis is known to have been smoked thousands of years before Jesus’ time, but this is the first evidence to show that Jesus himself may have used the plant. Not only could this mean that Christian fundamentalist may ease up on their firm stance against the use of marijuana, but they may actually begin to promote its use for an enhanced religious experience. It is the Christian belief that Christ’s followers should emulate him. If Jesus smoked weed, then why shouldn’t everyone else? [Editor’s note: Normally we like to reference the original study, we are still looking for it.] Reverend Tom Brown shows the healing power of the Holy Anointing Cannabis Oil. Tom is helping Jack Herer, who has diabetes. This recipe comes directly from the Bible. The old measures have been substituted with modern measure (see below). Editor’s note: I was lucky enough to meet the man videotaping this piece. He was given some of the oil and happened to have it with him. Generously, he shared some with me, enough to coat the tips of 2 fingers. I rubbed it on my back where I sustained an injury years ago as well as on my forehead. Intense heat immediately swept over my entire back and finally, my entire body (even though I was sitting in a cold car and could see my breath). In a few minutes, I was very slightly hallucinating. Everything looked as if it were inside a mandala for about an hour – a truly wonderful experience! I remember feeling noticeably healthier the following day. Exodus 30, verses 22 – 30 Anointing Oil 22 Then the LORD said to Moses, 23 “Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of fragrant cane, 24 500 shekels of cassia – all according to the sanctuary shekel – and a hin of olive oil. 25 Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil. . . . Converted into today’s measurements: liquid myrrh 500 shekels 5.75 kg (12.68 lbs) cassia 500 shekels 5.75 kg (12.68 lbs) cinnamon leaf 250 shekels 2.875 kg (6.34 lbs) cannabis flowers 250 shekels 2.875 kg (6.34 lbs) olive oil 1 hin 6.5 liters (1.72 gallons) In the traditional method, all of these ingredients would have been mixed with water and then boiled until all the water evaporated. The oil was then strained and ready for use. How to make the Holy Anointing Oil – by Reverend Tom Brown: This is the recipe I have used. It is not exactly the same recipe that is listed in Exodus, it has only one ounce of marijuana instead of fifteen ounces. However, this recipe has been used on human beings and used with prayer, worked to relieve pain. I have used this on a man suffering from Aids, another man with severe upper back pain from a pinched nerve, on a woman with severe lower back pain associated with her monthlys, on a man suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and on myself for various pains and abrasions. 1 pint Organic Sesame Seed oil 1 pint Organic Olive Oil .06 oz Cinnamon bark oil (Cassia) (1 eighth of a .5 oz bottle) .06 oz Cinnamon leaf oil (1 eighth of a .5 oz bottle) 1 oz of Myrrh Gum 1 oz of Marijuana This produces an oil that is much less powerful then the original recipe as 2 pints of oil, or one quart of oil, in the original recipe would have 15 ounces of marijuana flowers, not the 1 ounce I have used. All these ingredients except for the marijuana are available at the local health food store here in Fayetteville, Arkansas. You need a cooking pot and a Pyrex 4 cup measuring cup. Use a cooking pot with a liner/separator so that the container you cook the oil in is lifted off the bottom of the cooking pot. You need a candy thermometer that will clip onto the side of the pot. You need enough Canola oil to use as the heat transfer medium in the cooking pot. Place the pint of Sesame Seed oil in the container with the shredded Marijuana and the Myrrh Gum. Place the jar into the cooking pot, on top of the liner/separator. Place the Canola oil into the cooking pot up to within 3 inches of the top of the pot – or to the same level of the Sesame Seed oil in the jar – whichever is less. Wrap Aluminum foil around the cooking pot lip and crumple it so that the space between the cooking pot and the jar is covered with the foil. This helps cut down on oil fumes and reduces fire hazard from the hot oil. Use an electric stove or hotplate – never use any kind of open flame for this cooking. Place the candy thermometer thru the foil and clip it onto the side of the cooking pot so that the sensing tip is immersed in the Canola oil. The Canola oil transfers heat from the stove to the jar at higher temperatures then boiling water at 212 degrees. You want to cook the oil for one hour at 300 degrees. This extracts the active ingredients from the Marijuana and dissolves the Myrrh gum into the oil. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool. The glass container is very fragile; do not mess with it until it cools to skin temperature or it will break and you will lose that lot of oil. Strain the oil / herb mixture thru a cloth and discard the solids. Add the Olive oil, Cinnamon Bark (Cassia) oil and the Cinnamon leaf oil to the cooked Anointing Oil and bottle. Store the Anointing Oil in the refrigerator in a dark colored bottle. Decant into smaller jars for use. (Source) Rev. 13. http://www.wakingtimes.com/2014/12/29/7-signs-may-victim-statism/ Gary ‘Z’ McGee, Staff Writer Waking Times “The State is the name of the coldest of all cold monsters. Coldly it lies; and this lie slips from its mouth: I, the state, am the people.” –Friedrich Nietzsche Truth: the pill everyone wants, but just can’t seem to swallow. The truth behind the vicious lies of statism and its cultish tendencies happens to be one of those jagged little pills that people can’t seem to swallow. Statism has become the most all-pervasive ism of them all. It is the predominant world religion. Almost every country practices it. It is, in fact, the worst form of religion: a deadly cult. It meets every single one of the characteristics associated with cultic groups according to Janja Lalich, Ph.D. & Michael D. Langone, Ph.D. Influence and control lie at the center of the state. More than likely we were all born into such a state, complete with all its commandments (laws), deities (founding fathers), common prayer (pledge of allegiance), sacred symbols and texts (flags and constitutions), and places of indoctrination (schools). Like Voltaire said, “Religion began when the first conman met the first fool.” And so it is with the cult of the state. But there are other options besides being a conman or a fool. At any rate, here are seven signs you may be a victim of the cult of statism. 1.) You believe you need to be ruled: “I was not designed to be forced. I will breathe after my own fashion. Let us see who is the strongest.” –Thoreau You believe that other people have the right to rule over you. You cling to your slavery like it was your liberation. You falsely believe that you have an obligation to follow rules and laws made by men who created those rules and laws without your permission. Your leaders are not held accountable for their actions (NDAA). You allow these leaders to have rights that you don’t have. You illogically believe that men should be ruled by other men, even though you know that most men can barely even rule over themselves, let alone others. As such, you have given them the authority to dictate to you right from wrong, instead of taking responsibility for figuring it out for yourself. 2.) You display excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to the state: “What good fortune for governments that the people do not think.” –Adolf Hitler You are an obedient law-abiding citizen, groveling under the false superiority of the state. You only think within the box allowed by the state. You let your government do your thinking for you (representation). You blindly accept the conditions of the state: paying taxes (legalized extortion), obeying laws (mere threats). You don’t question the system because, like a fish, you don’t question the water that you live in. But you are not a fish. You are a human being. And what makes you a human being is the ability to question and to imagine better ways of doing things. But there are other options, like this one from the words of Robert A. Heinlein: “I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.” 3.) You never question, doubt, or practice dissent for fear of punishment: “The supreme mystery of despotism, its prop and stay, is to keep men in a state of deception, and cloak the fear by which they must be held in check, so that they will fight for their servitude as if for salvation.” –Baruch Spinoza You believe whatever authority tells you to believe. You have fallen hook-line-and-sinker for the great lie of the state: that it is there to serve you. You obey, usually blindly, due to programming and indoctrination. Your fear has paralyzed you into an obedient citizen. You worship the state with all your heart and soul because you are afraid of the consequences of falling out of line. You don’t question the bizarre rituals of the state, believing they are necessary to keep things in “order,” forgetting the fact that order forced upon others is tyranny unless that order is forced by nature. You loyally bow to the false deity of government, believing that the worst sin is disobeying (breaking the law.) You’ve been victimized your entire life by mind-altering practices (such as psychological political propaganda and biased advertisements) used in excess and served to suppress any doubts you might have about the “goodness” of the state. But there is a healthier way, and it can be summed up in one simple word: disobey! 4.) You’ve been conditioned to believe that the ends justify militaristic means: "He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.” –Albert Einstein You proudly support the troops when they kill whoever the misguided plutocrats in DC tell them to kill, even though you know the troops are participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining. You have been tricked into thinking that obedience is a virtue and violence is necessary. You’ve been conditioned into thinking that war is okay because the state says it is okay to use violence to attain liberty, when really it’s just empty window dressing for the use of rampant tyranny. You have learned how to turn a blind eye to the blatant atrocities committed by the state and to praise it for its veil of democracy and peace, which is nothing more than smoke and mirrors to disguise its tyranny. But there are other options, like this one from Alexander Berkman: “The man who can face vilification and disgrace, who can stand up against the popular current, even against his friends and his country when he knows he is right, who can defy those in authority over him, who can take punishment and prison and remain steadfast—that is a man of courage. But do you need much courage just to obey orders, to do as you are told and to fall in line with thousands of others to the tune of general approval and the Star Spangled Banner?” – Alexander Berkman 5.) You are inflicted with feelings of shame or guilt used as methods of control: “Once you have enslaved one generation, most parents will almost inevitable resist the freedom of the next generation, out of guilt and shame about their own surrender.” –Stefan Molyneux You have given into the false virtue of doing what you’re told. This is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion, usually by greedy power-tripping frauds convincing you that they should be emulated, but who are actually just attempting to deprive you of your free will. They dare to guilt you into becoming a controlled pawn. They dare to use shame to keep you in line. And still you glorify them as “lawmakers” and “job creators” and “masters.” And then you have the audacity to shame people who seek freedom and liberation for themselves, attempting to make them feel guilty for their salvation. You even think they deserve to be crushed beneath the tyrannical boot of authority. Out of one side of your mouth you preach freedom and responsibility, while out of the other side of your mouth you preach obedience and security, all while freedom is being destroyed and responsibility is being ignored. The state is your cozy little prison, and shame and guilt are your prison bars. But there is a way to escape. Ask yourself, as Rumi did, “Why do you stay in prison when the door is wide open?” 6.) Your cultish state is preoccupied with making money: “It is no coincidence that a century of total war coincided with a century of central banking.” – Ron Paul You have been brainwashed into believing that money makes the world go around. There is nothing wrong with making money, but there is something wrong with being preoccupied with making money. As it stands, you are conditioned into being preoccupied with making money. It has been hammered into you since you were a kid: make more money than the next guy, do whatever it takes, take no prisoners, one-upmanship trumps cooperation. More money! More money! More money! It’s a cult in itself when not used in healthy and moderate ways. There is something wrong when money goes from being a tool we use to attain better experiences, to becoming our lord and master dictating to us our happiness, or lack thereof. Besides flags, money is the most powerful religious symbol of the cult of the state. We have become slaves to money in the form of debt, and the state is the one holding all the whips. Like John Adams said, “There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by the sword. The other is by debt.” But there are ways to counter slavery. One way is to defy it and create something new. 7.) You have given into the elitism of the state: “The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret in tyranny is in keeping them ignorant.” –Maximilien Robespierre You believe there is no life outside the state. Your blind patriotism and myopic nationalism has left you in a cloudy dream world where you believe that your state has some kind of exalted status simply because you were lucky enough to have been born there. You believe there is no other way to be, and you fear reprisal if you decide to leave, or even consider leaving. And why would you want to leave anyway? You’re “safe” in your police state. You’re “secure” in your surveillance state. Big Brother has your best interest at heart. And the state, your almighty god, loves you and is the greatest thing. So what a part of you knows the irrationality behind your logic. So what other people in other states think the same thing. Yours is still the greatest state, the greatest nation, the greatest country, the greatest religion, the greatest cult. Isn’t it? And even if it isn’t, you wouldn’t dare question its greatness. That’s too scary. Better to stay in the comfort zone created by your leaders. Better to remain a good little citizen. Better not to rock the boat. Better to be kissed with lies than slapped with the truth. Better the bliss that comes from ignorance than the pain that comes from knowledge. Better to be a comfortable slave than uncomfortably free.

Guess what? The CBI/GOI today ANNOUNCED they have 20 laws about to be released and it’s the tariff laws! All of this to get security. Do you see that MasterCard wanted to come into Iraq...still needs an international rate but they still issued the cards to the retirees living outside of Iraq. Position and posturing. Last year is the first time we didn’t see the GOI go on vacation in the summer. They are there working. It is permissible to work during Ramadan – it’s just rare. 5-26-2015 Intel Guru Delta It looks like the Parliament had a meeting with the leaders to pass 20 pending laws...they’re ready for voting. They’re going to accomplish this in the next 3 days. One of the most important is the investment law... The revaluation is to increase the rate and this law will help Iraq do that. Everyone knows that the CBI is coming out with the 50 and 100 dinar...still confusion that it’s a 50,000 and 100,000 but it’s not…it’s just the value. Abadi said this is what we need because we need the money supply, easier to carry around and something they don’t have to use like US dollars. It looks like the rate will change before they introduce the lower denominations and 24 - 48 hours we should see the lower denominations along with the 20 laws to pass this week and the activation for the private sectors we’ve been waiting for...the new rate is one of the anchors for the private sector and economy. 5-26-2015 Intel Guru Delta they’re ready to go, we’re very, very close and they have to keep moving...the banking system is ready and there’s a lot of pressure. The financial committee said JUST LIFT THE 000’S so you can move forward. I believe they’re waiting for the right timing. ...if they do it during Ramadan it’s going to be confusion, but if they do it a couple of weeks before, they’ll use the dinar and not shock the market. ...the longer they go without a RV, the longer it’ll be for the next window and they can’t do it until the mid-July or end of July... Can they wait, yes, but the longer they wait, the more issues they’ll have. the next window is from now to the first week in June...we know it’ll be 85-86 cents.

  17. Trinity, This is obviously an older article since it speaks of the future Senate takeover by the R’s, which happened in 1/15. As for the NSA data collection, if the Senate does not pass the House bill, the NSA meta data collection would become illegal by way of being sunsetted. To me, anything that makes the NSA stop collecting our data is a good thing no matter how the program is shut down. This was the reason that Rand was filibustering last week, so you might still be able to like him after all. RV ME The Senate looks poised to defeat a House-passed bill that would move the bulk collection of telephone metadata from being held by the government to being held by telecom companies instead. The way forward on a short-term extension is uncertain as the House has left town for the month and will not return until after the provisions are set to expire on June 1st. The uncertainty leaves that provision, called "Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act", on its way to expiring on June 1st with no real path to being reauthorized before it lapses for at least a brief period of time. "I think the House-passed bill will fail, and I don't know about a two month extension at this point because that leaves us in a kind of a bit of a bind I would say," Sen. John Thune, of South Dakota, a member of Republican leadership, told reporters on Thursday, "So we're going to see where the votes are." Justice and National Security officials warn that if the Senate does not pass the compromise replacement legislation for the Patriot Act before the Memorial Day holiday recess the National Security Agency will have to start dismantling bulk collection of metadata records to avoid both practical and legal problems. In a memo sent from the Department of Justice to Congress on Wednesday, the NSA has said they would begin to wind down the bulk collection program if Congress fails to act by Friday, saying they would be doing so "in order to ensure that it does not engage in any unauthorized collection or use of the metadata." Senate Republicans expect to vote on two options in the coming days to reauthorize or reform the expiring provisions of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act — which prescribes how foreign intelligence is gathered. The options are the House-passed USA Freedom Act, and a short-term 60 day extension, both of which could fail. If both fail to get the 60 votes needed to proceed, Senate Republicans say an even shorter-term bill could be introduced in an effort to stop the program from expiring. "Nobody wants us to go dark on our ability to detect terrorist activity," Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, R-Texas, told reporters, "So I imagine there will be some very urgent discussions" about next steps if both the USA Freedom Act and a 60-day extension fail. On May 13, the House overwhelmingly passed the USA Freedom Act by a vote of 338-88. The bill would take the storage of bulk telephony metadata away from the government and would instead rely on the telecom companies to hold the data, where it could then be obtained with a subpoena. But because the House has left for the month, and will not be in session until the afternoon of June 1st, the only bill that has any path to being signed into law by President Obama is the House-passed USA Freedom Act. If the USA Freedom Act fails in the Senate, and they instead pass a short-term bill, the House will not be able to consider it until after they return, and by that time the program will have sunset. House Republican leadership aides say there are no plans to come back in session before then to pass any possible short-term extension. "The worst possible outcome is that the program lapses at a time when the threat level has never been higher since 2001, that's just totally unacceptable to us," Sen. Dan Coats, an Indiana Republican, and a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, told reporters, "I think the stark reality is if we get to the point where the program goes dark at this time at this threat level we're running a dangerous, dangerous course." According to a report by the Congressional Research Service, the section of the PATRIOT Act that is used to authorize the government's collection of bulk data would sunset at 12:00:01amET on June 1st if Congress fails to act. "I think it's a real problem, but I think the overwhelmingly majority know that we can't just let the whole program lapse," Sen John McCain, R-Ariz., told reporters, "They're searching around for different ways to prevent that from happening. Nobody wants that to happen except for Senator Paul." Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., took to the Senate floor Wednesday and spoke in a 10 ½-hour filibuster-like speech in opposition of the government's bulk collection of data . Paul has said he would oppose not only any clean extension of the program, but also the USA Freedom Act, which he says does not go far enough. But any clean extension of the program will have a tough path to passing, as the controversial bulk data collection program which was unearthed by whistleblower Edward Snowden is politically toxic to many lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. "I'm strongly opposed to a short-term extension (of the bulk data collection program)," Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore. told reporters. "The reality is this bulk phone records collection program, which I consider to be a federal human relations database, is a badly flawed program that some of the anti-terror leaders in the past have said does not make America safer." Many of the opponents in the Senate of the House-passed bill are concerned that there are no assurances regarding how long the telecom companies will hold onto the data, and they believe that the process to get that data from the telecom companies could delay an investigation. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio said today that he believes the Senate misunderstands their bill. "I do think that there is a big disconnect in terms of how they view our bill, and I've been surprised by it," Boehner said today, "But at the end of the day, we've got to work our way through this issue, and I'm confident at some point we will." http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/senate-down-wire-bulk-data-collection-bill-n363146

  21. Asian traditions say autumn & spring. But is in-between the best time to buy gold at low prices...? CALL IT superstitious, call it good marketing, or call it tradition, writes Adrian Ash at BullionVault. But where India has Akshaya Tritiya in spring and Diwali in autumn, China then has Lunar New Year – the most 'auspicious' time of year for people to buy gold. The best time for gold traders, however, is different. And it may be due in some part to those same religious and astrological dates observed by gold buyers in Asia. "Sell in May, come back on St.Leger's Day," claims stockbroking lore in the City of London. That old chestnut basically tells clients and staff to take a long summer vacation, starting with the Whitsun Bank Holiday and returning after the year's last big horse-race meeting. Wouldn't want to disturb your broker from studying the form, after all. If you like such things, the data suggest mid-summer can indeed be a good time to buy gold at a discount. Better certainly than relying on that old stockbroker's saying for trying to trade in and out of the FTSE share index. Folklore says the gold market tends to see a 'summer lull', with prices softening as trading volumes dry up amid the showers and downpours of May-August. We have written about this pattern before. Many...many...times before. Like, loads. Our lack of imagination aside, you might link this lull in prices to the 'closed period' of Indian demand (better known as 'shradh', when new investments and ventures, including marriages, become unlucky on Hindu calendars). But take the Hindu festival of Akshaya Tritiya – an auspicious day for new ventures, falling in late-April in 2015. It has become a major date for gold retailers in India, the world's No.1 jewelry market. Getting ready for this year's festive demand, and thanks to easier import rules, India's wholesalers took in twice as much gold this March as during the same month last year. April's gold imports then showed a 60% annual jump, totalling a further 85 tonnes on top of March's 125 inflow. That's a lot of gold. It nearly equals one in every two ounces of gold mined worldwide over those same two months. And re-worked into bracelets and necklaces, that surge of Indian gold imports became a 10-20% rise in gold sales on Akshaya Tritiya. Some retailers even reported a 30% jump. Fact is, however, "Sales volumes [in 2015] were higher as Indian prices were lower by 7% year on year," reckons All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation director Bachhraj Bamalwa, directly attributing the growth in sales to lower prices. US Dollar investors meantime found gold $100 lower per ounce from Akshaya Tritiya 2014. Sterling prices were pretty much flat from 12 months ago. So, whatever drives the gold price, India's festival demand looks unlikely. Quite the reverse, in fact. By extension, a lack of good times on Hindu calendars is unlikely to pull prices lower. Indeed, the near-shutdown in gold imports to India in mid-2013 – due to an effective ban on new inflows after the record levels seen during the Spring 2013 price crash – coincided with the metal finding its floor at last roundabout the $1180 mark. China's retail gold demand also takes a break over the summer, as do its wholesalers. But if removing this bid to buy gold the world's heaviest gold-buying market also tracks prices more than setting them, with Spring 2015's strong export of metal from London through Swiss refiners onto Asian buyers being "a sign of weakness, not of strength in the market," as Matthew Turner at Macquarie noted to Bloomberg last month. None of this is to say Asian household demand doesn't help form gold prices. But it clearly doesn't (yet) chase it higher at the tops. Instead, the world's heaviest buyers prefer the dips and plunges created by Western investment selling. Thus the global market found lots of buyers in 2013, albeit very much cheaper than US and European investors would have liked as they quit positions built at $1500 and above. So, back with the seasonal data, might the summer lull in gold prices come thanks to the summer doldrums in financial markets more broadly? Perhaps. It is in fact much clearer on the historic data than the City of London's more famous "Sell in May" folklore for UK equities. And again, on the data, it has been growing stronger as well. You can see it here on this chart of average monthly prices. We've used the median, not the mean, to smooth out the crazier moves of outlier years. And there, right in the middle of the year, you will see a 'seasonal lull' during mid-summer for both the decade from 1995-2004 and then again for 2005-2014. Eight times in the last decade, in fact, the softer prices of early to mid-summer offered UK investors a chance to buy gold and then sell it higher at year's end. That's a much better hit-rate than the old chestnut about summer being the best time to sit out the London stock market. "Sell in May and come back on St.Leger's Day" the saying claims. But only 5 times in the last decade has the FTSE All-Share index of UK stocks closed May higher than it closed the month of September. Indeed, if your stock broker repeats that old chestnut to you this May, you should ask for an invite to his retirement party. (You'll be paying for it, after all.) Because as you can see on this chart of the FTSE All-Share's monthly averages, the last time that "Sell in May" was really true for UK shares was back in 1975-84. Bottom line? More active investors – looking for the best time of the year to buy gold at a discount and then sell again at a peak – might find this seasonal pattern to be useful. But no one gets to trade the average monthly moves, and history tells us nothing about what will happen for sure this year. Just ask those Dollar-gold traders who took profits in springtime 4 years ago...only to watch the gold price surge to all-time record highs during the US debt downgrade, Eurozone crisis and then English riots of summer 2011. Meantime in India, Akshaya Tritiya hasn't been the best time to buy gold over recent years. Not according to analysts who miss the point, even if stumbling over the same seasonal pattern in Rupee prices as UK investors enjoy. Making an auspicious investment isn't the same as expecting it will turn a profit directly itself. And besides, buying gold at any time of year has proven pretty smart for Indian savers over the last few decades anyway. Gold prices have risen in Rupee terms in 30 of the last 41 years. How auspicious is that when you're trying to save for the future?

  22. Look for strong rates of return, low geopolitical risk, and new exploration... THIBAUT Lepouttre is editor of the Caesars Report, a newsletter and mining portal based in Belgium that covers several junior mining companies with a special focus on precious metals and base metals. Here he tells The Gold Report that, because the gold price is range bound, gold mining investors have to find "lean and mean" producers generating cash flow - or very nearly there – with a market price of $1200 per ounce... The Gold Report: In January, you told The Gold Report that the price of gold is driven by market panic and inflation, neither of which looks imminent. If investors can't expect higher gold prices in the near term, why should they be in this space? Thibaut Lepouttre: I've never been a goldbug but I see gold as a form of asset diversification. There's nothing wrong with having some exposure to precious metals in a portfolio, both in the physical form and in the form of precious metals mining equities. Mining companies are much like any other company. You should find the ones that have free cash flow or have set their sights on positive cash flow, even when the gold price is range bound. It's up to investors to make sure that they know what they own and understand the financial situation of those companies. TGR: How are you playing this space? Thibaut Lepouttre: I want reliable, low-cost precious metals producers and some companies with development-ready projects. I try to identify companies with projects that are viable at the current gold price and that should be able to get financing because their projects' internal rates of return (IRR) are still acceptable at $1200 per ounce gold or lower. I avoid companies with projects with high capital costs because the markets want companies that are small, lean and mean. I'm not investing in companies that need gold at $1500 or $2000 to make a project work. TGR: Greece recently made a $224 million payment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Essentially, that's an interest payment on its European "credit card", but the country is still negotiating with the IMF, the European Central Bank and the European Commission on its next bailout. How do you expect these negotiations to unfold? Thibaut Lepouttre: It was really the European Union's (EU) credit card that was used to make the payment because Greece asked all its public services to wire cash to Athens as an emergency measure. The big question is where will Greece get the money for its next payment? The treasury in Athens is running on fumes. Greece has to repay about €6-7 billion over the next two months. It's a tricky situation, but Greece is probably in the driver's seat because the EU clearly does not want Greece to leave the Eurozone (for now). But would Greece be willing to leave the Euro and go back to the drachma? It would in a heartbeat. That would once again give Athens a sovereign currency. The drachma would be weak but that would boost exports and attract more tourists, especially from Russia. European leaders are trying to make it sound as if Greece has to stay, but Greece doesn't have to do anything. If Greece leaves the Eurozone, it would be an important catalyst for gold because that would increase uncertainty in the markets. TGR: Which countries in the Eurozone are closely watching these negotiations with Greece? Thibaut Lepouttre: The southern countries are really following the negotiations closely because if Greece exits, there's no reason for these countries to stay in the Eurozone; it's much easier for them to go their own way. It's the idea of a unified European Union that is causing the governments in the western and northern countries in the Eurozone to make sure that a solution is found because they would lose face if the EU failed. TGR: There is a critical IMF meeting in about a month. Could that be pivotal for gold? Thibaut Lepouttre: You're alluding to the IMF meeting that will decide the compilation of the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) basket. The Chinese have requested that its currency be included in the SDR basket, which currently consists of the Japanese yen, US Dollar, Euro and British pound. Gold could also potentially be included in the basket but I don't think the Yuan nor gold will be included, at least not yet. It will be interesting to hear the Chinese arguments. China has not updated its gold reserves in a long time. It wouldn't surprise me to see China update its official gold reserves just before that meeting. If China chooses to disclose its gold reserves, it will show that China is serious about getting the Yuan included in the SDR basket. It might be the main factor that the IMF considers. TGR: What range do you expect gold to trade in through the end of this year? Thibaut Lepouttre: It depends whether Greece collapses or not. We're still in the same range where we saw strong support at $1175-1180, but we also saw strong resistance at $1220-1225. The range is definitely narrowing. Once we break out of that range, either in a positive or negative way, we will see a big move in the gold price. TGR: Which elements of junior developers are you most focused on with gold around $1200 and financing still at a premium? Thibaut Lepouttre: Investors should try to focus on high-margin projects with low capital and operating costs because the financing environment remains difficult. Mining projects with high IRR numbers will attract the necessary financing to move ahead and will always command a premium over other assets. The second priority is low geopolitical risk. I'm avoiding high-risk countries like the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Africa. TGR: Do the essentials change for the smaller companies like the explorers? Thibaut Lepouttre: It's a good time to be an exploration company with cash because diamond-drilling costs are the cheapest they have been in almost a decade. The all-in cost for diamond drilling is less than $100 per meter in North America. The cost was $250-270 per meter four years ago. On the negative side, the explorers operating in remote areas will have a tougher time because it will cost them three or four times as much to drill the same hole. TGR: How do you maintain your optimism in this space? Thibaut Lepouttre: You always need to make sure that you understand the markets. I strongly believe that should gold go back to $1000 per ounce, it will not stay there. It is going to be one of those V-shaped corrections as we saw in 2007-2008, and then it will move back up again. China and Russia are still buying gold and they will buy even more if the gold price goes as low as $900. But I wouldn't be unhappy if gold were to stay at near current prices. TGR: Thank you for your insights, Thibaut.

  29. Hi DWitte Certainly they are, but remember, many places like the US do not bring many important issues before voters, these issues are decided FOR the people without a voice from the voters. In these cases, the results of the politicians and banking actions should not be born by the people, but those who created the debts and irresponsible spending. Too many social programs, cradle to grave nanny style programs will ultimately break any countries budget. Hope you are doing well my friend.

I like the way you laid it out, Skeet and I talked about this, he brought up the facts that payroll will force the people into using the banks, and then I also brought up the fact the delete zero project is in actually within the payment system and not monetary policy. Yota posted the article this morning I think, he also had 2 more articles within his thread.

But, if you think like me, I say once this does pop, it will be short lived. The middle east is blowing up, people killing people thinking they do God's service. I hope to bless many when this happens but not without telling them time is short, redemption draws nigh for the taking. Malke sure that they bless others. All things are possible only believe. 36. Everybody Should Read General John Kelly's Speech About Two Marines In The Path Of A Truck Bomb GEOFFREY INGERSOLL JUN. 3, 2013, 11:20 AM Five years ago, two Marines from two different walks of life who had literally just met were told to stand guard in front of their outpost's entry control point. Minutes later, they were staring down a big blue truck packed with explosives. With this particular shred of hell bearing down on them, they stood their ground. Heck, they even leaned in. I had heard the story many times, personally. But until today I had never heard Marine Lt. Gen. John Kelly's telling of it to a packed house in 2010. Just four days following the death of his own son in combat, Kelly eulogized two other sons in an unforgettable manner. From Kelly's speech: Two years ago when I was the Commander of all U.S. and Iraqi forces, in fact, the 22nd of April 2008, two Marine infantry battalions, 1/9 “The Walking Dead,” and 2/8 were switching out in Ramadi. One battalion in the closing days of their deployment going home very soon, the other just starting its seven-month combat tour. Two Marines, Corporal Jonathan Yale and Lance Corporal Jordan Haerter, 22 and 20 years old respectively, one from each battalion, were assuming the watch together at the entrance gate of an outpost that contained a makeshift barracks housing 50 Marines. The same broken down ramshackle building was also home to 100 Iraqi police, also my men and our allies in the fight against the terrorists in Ramadi, a city until recently the most dangerous city on earth and owned by Al Qaeda. Yale was a dirt poor mixed-race kid from Virginia with a wife and daughter, and a mother and sister who lived with him and he supported as well. He did this on a yearly salary of less than $23,000. Haerter, on the other hand, was a middle class white kid from Long Island. They were from two completely different worlds. Had they not joined the Marines they would never have met each other, or understood that multiple America’s exist simultaneously depending on one’s race, education level, economic status, and where you might have been born. But they were Marines, combat Marines, forged in the same crucible of Marine training, and because of this bond they were brothers as close, or closer, than if they were born of the same woman. The mission orders they received from the sergeant squad leader I am sure went something like: “Okay you two clowns, stand this post and let no unauthorized personnel or vehicles pass.” “You clear?” I am also sure Yale and Haerter then rolled their eyes and said in unison something like: “Yes Sergeant,” with just enough attitude that made the point without saying the words, “No kidding sweetheart, we know what we’re doing.” They then relieved two other Marines on watch and took up their post at the entry control point of Joint Security Station Nasser, in the Sophia section of Ramadi, al Anbar, Iraq. A few minutes later a large blue truck turned down the alley way—perhaps 60-70 yards in length—and sped its way through the serpentine of concrete jersey walls. The truck stopped just short of where the two were posted and detonated, killing them both catastrophically. Twenty-four brick masonry houses were damaged or destroyed. A mosque 100 yards away collapsed. The truck’s engine came to rest two hundred yards away knocking most of a house down before it stopped. Our explosive experts reckoned the blast was made of 2,000 pounds of explosives. Two died, and because these two young infantrymen didn’t have it in their DNA to run from danger, they saved 150 of their Iraqi and American brothers-in-arms. When I read the situation report about the incident a few hours after it happened I called the regimental commander for details as something about this struck me as different. Marines dying or being seriously wounded is commonplace in combat. We expect Marines regardless of rank or MOS to stand their ground and do their duty, and even die in the process, if that is what the mission takes. But this just seemed different. The regimental commander had just returned from the site and he agreed, but reported that there were no American witnesses to the event—just Iraqi police. I figured if there was any chance of finding out what actually happened and then to decorate the two Marines to acknowledge their bravery, I’d have to do it as a combat award that requires two eye-witnesses and we figured the bureaucrats back in Washington would never buy Iraqi statements. If it had any chance at all, it had to come under the signature of a general officer. I traveled to Ramadi the next day and spoke individually to a half-dozen Iraqi police all of whom told the same story. The blue truck turned down into the alley and immediately sped up as it made its way through the serpentine. They all said, “We knew immediately what was going on as soon as the two Marines began firing.” The Iraqi police then related that some of them also fired, and then to a man, ran for safety just prior to the explosion. All survived. Many were injured … some seriously. One of the Iraqis elaborated and with tears welling up said, “They’d run like any normal man would to save his life.” What he didn’t know until then, he said, and what he learned that very instant, was that Marines are not normal. Choking past the emotion he said, “Sir, in the name of God no sane man would have stood there and done what they did.” “No sane man.” “They saved us all.” What we didn’t know at the time, and only learned a couple of days later after I wrote a summary and submitted both Yale and Haerter for posthumous Navy Crosses, was that one of our security cameras, damaged initially in the blast, recorded some of the suicide attack. It happened exactly as the Iraqis had described it. It took exactly six seconds from when the truck entered the alley until it detonated. You can watch the last six seconds of their young lives. Putting myself in their heads I supposed it took about a second for the two Marines to separately come to the same conclusion about what was going on once the truck came into their view at the far end of the alley. Exactly no time to talk it over, or call the sergeant to ask what they should do. Only enough time to take half an instant and think about what the sergeant told them to do only a few minutes before: “ … let no unauthorized personnel or vehicles pass.” The two Marines had about five seconds left to live. It took maybe another two seconds for them to present their weapons, take aim, and open up. By this time the truck was half-way through the barriers and gaining speed the whole time. Here, the recording shows a number of Iraqi police, some of whom had fired their AKs, now scattering like the normal and rational men they were—some running right past the Marines. They had three seconds left to live. For about two seconds more, the recording shows the Marines’ weapons firing non-stop…the truck’s windshield exploding into shards of glass as their rounds take it apart and tore in to the body of the son-of-a-***** who is trying to get past them to kill their brothers—American and Iraqi—bedded down in the barracks totally unaware of the fact that their lives at that moment depended entirely on two Marines standing their ground. If they had been aware, they would have know they were safe … because two Marines stood between them and a crazed suicide bomber. The recording shows the truck careening to a stop immediately in front of the two Marines. In all of the instantaneous violence Yale and Haerter never hesitated. By all reports and by the recording, they never stepped back. They never even started to step aside. They never even shifted their weight. With their feet spread shoulder width apart, they leaned into the danger, firing as fast as they could work their weapons. They had only one second left to live. The truck explodes. The camera goes blank. Two young men go to their God. Six seconds. Not enough time to think about their families, their country, their flag, or about their lives or their deaths, but more than enough time for two very brave young men to do their duty … into eternity. That is the kind of people who are on watch all over the world tonight—for you. Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/john-kellys-speech-about-marines-in-ramadi-2013-6#ixzz3bBg7pCNZ

  38. Okay... I feel ya! And I don't disagree but I also think it opens up a loophole for the police to search someone if they even suspect impairment or think they've 'caught a whiff' of pot. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before a test is developed to detect 'current usage' (like a breathalyzer or saliva sample). Are there laws on the books in those states concerning DWH (driving while high)? Is it possible to enforce? Another problem I see is for employers. Many companies require a clean drug test to be hired, not to mention safely perform the job. How can an employer be assured that their company policy isn't outweighed by the state's legislative policy? I would hope not... but again, is it possible to enforce? Does it set us up for a whole new class of 'unemployable' (can't pass a drug test) that will be legally 'entitled' to 'benefits'? Will employers be forced to relax their policy only to risk liability of a 'wake&bake' employee? I assume the kid making my latte is stoned but the guy who's supposed to be tightening my lug nuts better not be! Very glad I don't own a business in Colorado or Washington State! Perhaps marijuana legalization is just another way to divide us... make the police more intrusive because some people can't wait till they get home to get their buzz on, force employers to hire from an ever-decreasing pool of qualified, sober workers and putting additional burdens on the taxpayers to sort it all out! Thanks obama!

Decades of Socialism and the indoctrination of generations leads to this . . . this is the road we are traveling down with the current administration . . . with I might add the full cooperation of both sides of the aisle. Oh they [Dems & Reps ]cause a fuss to make sure they keep everyone's eye off the ball throwing crap and mud at each other. I think they get a big kick out of it really. Bamboozling and fleecing an entire country must get these a$$hole real giddy.

  40. I think we have all been punked by Tony, DC and all the other Gurus and punked the most by our US Government for not shutting them down. The Gov knows whats going on but revenue is being made on Dinar purchases not cash ins. Gurus get kick backs from Dinar sales. Government uses Dinar sales to help finance Iraq. I guess this is what Bush talked about when he said the war would pay for itself. Absolutely Brilliant! Time to blow the lid off this mess if people actually got paid.

  45. Thanks Umberto The people suffer due to the actions of the bankers and government spending. The bankers have gutted Greece after stacking them with increased debt(s), and it is criminal. Yes, Greece has the same problems as so many other countries, due to living beyond ones means, both personal and government, but the piling on of increased debt and then watching the country get looted, is not the way forward. Greece should walk away, in my opinion, not before they do a thorough study on how Iceland handled their criminal elements, both corrupt politicians AND corrupt banking, they ran them out of the country. Only way to address the crimes, and today Iceland is a model for any country who is tired of being gutted and toyed with.
