  1. I am hesitant to post this because I know if I were you I would call me a "pumper" (I am a dish network installer btw, not a g.e.t. team clown or anything) but..... you ready for this? (remember i know how ridiculous this sounds being part of this for about 6 months now and reading this and dd 10 times an hour).. but here we go... uuuuhhhhh... My cousins wife's dad works at a jail in central ohio. A lady that he works with at that jail has a daughter that works at chase bank. They (the bank employees) were told to buy dinar today.. (supposedly). Be gentle, I am a fragile person that takes your insults personally

  2. Fellow dinar investors, First I would like to thank Adam for providing us a place, free of charge, to voice our opinions and to share our thoughts regarding our investment. Thank you Adam. I would also like to thank all the newshounds that provide us with the best no nonsense information possible. You are the best. K98, Vizioiraqi, rdb, fishman1969(mia lately, hope you wife is doing well) and so many others. I apologize if I did not mention your name, but we all know who you are. Thanks to Doc31 for your daily updates on the CBI auctions, your time and efforts are appreciated sir. Thanks to Ronscarpa for posting info from other sites, so I don't have to go to them myself. That being said, I feel the need to defend our site, the site I call my dinar home. I have been a part of this site since 10/09 and joined as a member the following month. I checked out other sites, just like a lot of you do every day. I decided this was the best place to glean accurate information regarding our investment. I have heard people berate our VIP, saying they were not provided with special information and that VIP is not worth the money. I have been a part of VIP since the beginning. VIP is worth every penny I have spent, and a whole lot more. What those people failed to realize, is that VIP provides us with valuable info post RV, not super secret intel pre RV like some sites claim to have. In my opinion, there is little or no intel, only facts. I read a post today that made me angry. The post was brought over from another site, and it put down DV. I will not lower myself to that level and say anything about that site. Good luck to them. Some fail to realize that this is not a competition between sites, that is a childish attitude, after all we all only want one thing. We want Iraq to revalue their currency. Nothing else. Who cares who gets the rate and date right? IMO whoever does, will have just made a good or lucky guess. I have heard people complain that there is not much being said in chat, or the number of people in chat has diminished. True, but the people that are left, are good people and not trouble makers for the most part. Overall, we have quality, not quantity at this point. I prefer that. I have noticed a lot of new members contributing to this site, and to you I say welcome, and thank you. DV is and has always been an awesome site. Thanks again Adam. You efforts are appreciated by many. Thank all the great mods that keep this site running as best they can. Remember, we don't get paid, most of us work a full time job, and do this in our spare time. Thanks for listening to my rant. Dave

[scooter] good morning ---- i hope all is well --- [scooter] G [scooter] O [scooter] O [scooter] D [scooter] M [scooter] O [scooter] R [scooter] N [scooter] I [scooter] N [scooter] G [scooter] D [scooter] I [scooter] N [scooter] A [scooter] R [scooter] V [scooter] E [scooter] T [scooter] S [merry1] good morning [merry1] I'm good, so tell me what did you think of the article about the world bank and iraq not having the systems in place before 2013? [scooter] so -- sounds like it's an important week and month for the country of iraq [scooter] merry1 that's partially accurate [merry1] http://www.microsofttran ··· d%3D1296 [scooter] the original banking reform program was targeted for october 2010 [scooter] however two things occurred that forced the program to be extended [scooter] ONE [scooter] when the terrorist came into the cbi they destroyed one of the 3 main transaction hubs [scooter] there's approximately 33 sub hubs in the country [scooter] 3 of them are major ones [scooter] BUT [scooter] the units and software have already been replaced [scooter] the second reason for the delay is one of a rules and regs issue [merry1] as in? [scooter] see -- iraq and the world bank were having problems getting sub contractors to agree on their [scooter] short term contracts [scooter] the shortest period for most of those contractors is a year [scooter] they only needed 6 months at most [scooter] there's an updated world bank summary that states this specifically [scooter] nothing to worry about [scooter] would you like me to get the post [scooter] give me a minute and i'll get it [merry1] yes, but what you're saying doesn't negate that article, in that the restructuring has been postponed [scooter] un momento [scooter] let me get the latest statement -- then i'll address that part [scooter] because you are correct when it comes to projects like the pfm and a couple of others [scooter] also, let me read that article all the way to make [scooter] sure we're talking the same items -- sorry -- the early morning thing [scooter] [scooter] brb -- merry1 brought a great question [[scooter] MERRY1 [scooter] http://i894.photobucket. ··· SION.png [scooter] i posted that here at dv for fishman back in october [scooter] Scooby Doo not hibernation buddy -- just running through airports [merry1] Scooter I see what you saying about the extentions but I still don't see where that changes anything. If the systems aren't in place to support the international banking and exchange. how does that not affect an rv [merry1] Said Majid picture unit manager project management of the Prime Minister and Advisor to the World Bank he was supposed to complete the plan by October, in October 2010 but postponed to June 2013 because of the security situation in Iraq and delayed measures the signing of contracts by the World Bank and the Iraqi government. He said the external debt and internal Bank of Iraq $ 28 billion debt, while Rasheed Bank, one billion dollars. The government borrowed most of the foreign debt owed by the banks. He said that the picture of contracts restructuring programs and training has been delayed about six months because the experts were not ready to come to Iraq because the security situation. He added that the program crashes also because of the failure of policy makers to take decisions on the actual implementation of the plan. [scooter] whoa ---- two steps back for just one second ---- [scooter] you are correct --- partially [scooter] FIRST [merry1] The World Bank loans money for restructuring emerging countries and economies. They aren't going to loan the money to iraq, I'd say this is a huge deal. Maybe I'm missing something [scooter] there were several systems deployed in several segments that were meant key to the deployment of the rv [scooter] OR [scooter] structural changes as the imf calls it [scooter] ohhh yes they are [scooter] and they are continuing to do it [scooter] that's where the two -tranche strategy came from [scooter] NOW [scooter] we have to take a look at this from public finance, private finance, and the banking institiutions [scooter] FIRST [scooter] rafadain and rasheed had three very suspicious suspence accounts [scooter] that couldn't be closed or tracked down [scooter] many thought they accounts that maliki was controlling [merry1] yes i remember this [scooter] hence the delay in re-capitalizing those two banks [scooter] NOW [scooter] the imf has already, as well as the paris club members cleared the debt [scooter] PLUS [scooter] the imf has accounts [scooter] setup specifically for those two banks to be recapitalized [scooter] in fact, i think it's already been completed [scooter] when the 2009 audit came out [scooter] earnst and young [scooter] lambasted the ministry of finance and the cbi [scooter] for these outstanding acccounts [scooter] the audit was brutal [scooter] in fact, in normal circumstances -- they would have never ever passed the test [scooter] at that point --- two things started to occur within iraq [scooter] ONE [scooter] full and complete transparency to everything financial [scooter] if you notice the ministry of finance website [scooter] and look under all the budgets [scooter] and banking information ---- [scooter] within two months [scooter] all the disclosures were made for the public [scooter] NOW [scooter] they got smart [scooter] because everyday [scooter] I go up there and look for those spreadsheets of the this budget [scooter] AND ONE [scooter] they are posting them in kurdish arabic [scooter] or hybrid [scooter] and every translator on earth can't read the dern things [scooter] ANYWAYS [scooter] the second big item that they are referring to is pfm [scooter] you may have seen that acronym [scooter] now the pfm [scooter] it was deployed [merry1] I know I have but can't remember what it means [scooter] public finance management [merry1] right [scooter] it's a multi million dollar system [scooter] oracle databases [scooter] transactional systems all throughout the country [scooter] when iraq was compared to other middle east countries [scooter] regarding their pfm [scooter] they received a "d" grade [scooter] the system wasn't being used properly [scooter] and they couldn't find employees technically trained to use the system [scooter] HENCE [scooter] much simpler interface [scooter] and they have improved that system [scooter] now -- with that said [merry1] Scooter so all the time we thought they were being trained they actually weren't hence the article that said for the next six months they will be concentrating on training [scooter] the pfm in the working order that it's in right now [scooter] will not affect the revaluation of the currency [scooter] that article that you provided has a date of 2/15/2011 [merry1] Well I thank you for answering my question. that would be yesterday [scooter] i can show you other articles almost verbatim [Linda Bower] Scooter In your oppinion what are the key issues that are impeding the implimentation of rate adjustments in Iraq? [scooter] from the world bank and imf [scooter] from 18 months ago [scooter] HMMMM [Linda Bower] Scooter toes aren't tingling yet??? [scooter] how do i answer that question [scooter] NO [scooter] just nerves [scooter] that's a very good question [Linda Bower] what's to be nervous about? [scooter] and based on the schedules and task laid out [scooter] we should be good to go [Linda Bower] but.... [scooter] BUT [scooter] exactly [scooter] there's some items that can't be confirmed [scooter] simply because they haven't made it public [Linda Bower] imagine that! [scooter] one of those items has to do with what merry1 brought up [scooter] have the funds for recapitalization [scooter] been moved [scooter] and we won't know that until the next cbi audit [scooter] which should be this month actually [Linda Bower] which is???? [scooter] SECOND [scooter] that budget needs to be completed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 [pluMmet] security ministries? [scooter] pluMmet that could very well be [scooter] honestly ---- with this investment --- i can't say what else is required --- i don't think anybody knows the full details either [scooter] simply because of the behind closed door deals [scooter] with all that said [Winkie] scooter so good to hear from you a lot of reasons for no rv we missed your info sorry you were so busy thank you for the up dates keep in touch safe flying [scooter] i can only tell you what i think -- not based on published docs or imf or world bank -- i think we are at the end of this game --- i really don't think this can go any longer than june --- in fact --- march 31st [scooter] that's a very important day for the us [scooter] winkie -- thanks -- much appreciated [scooter] it's also the day the united states has to make a very important decision [scooter] we hit our debt limit [scooter] if we extend the debt [scooter] we seriously jeopardize our credit rating [scooter] if that happens [scooter] we don't want to think about that [scooter] just stock up on alot of water and food items [scooter] that's all i'll say [scooter] SO [scooter] if this shindig occurs at the beginning of march [scooter] the us continues running -- reduces the debt to sustain --- and those in washington dc we call a congress --- need to balance the checkbook just like every other american [Linda Bower] we will all be dancing!!! [scooter] sorry for the name calling [scooter] won't happen again [Linda Bower] oh sorry I thought you meant the rv [scooter] we will be dancing linda [scooter] last thing before i leave [scooter] the world bank had a plan for a double "tranche" for iraq [scooter] essentialy -- put in basic terms --- two economic explosions timed specifically to inject and move to economy [scooter] now what does that mean to us [scooter] it could mean a double rv [scooter] it could mean a double rv [scooter] so --- my point being -- when this occurs --- have a strategy for both scenarios [scooter] just a suggestion [scooter] OK [scooter] scooter diatribe complete [scooter] we'll cya all later and i hope you have great DAY....

  7. My sister sent this to me today and I thought it was very well written. Have no idea if it is true. Being AF brats, thoughout our childhood we have had to attend several services, funerals and tributes to those who have died in service to our country, some under the direct command of our father. This story brings out a very important point, that I wish to share with those who may not have a lot of experience dealing with what's appropriate to say at such emotional charged events. The important thing is you do not have to have the right words to comfort those who are in grief, you simply need to be there. I found that a hug (never let go first, let them), holding a hand or putting your hand on their shoulder is better than almost anything you can say. Just Stay A nurse took the tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside. "Your son is here," she said to the old man. She had to repeat the words several times before the patient's eyes opened. Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw the young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent. He reached out his hand. The Marine wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a message of love and encouragement. The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the bed.All through the night the young Marine sat there in the poorly lightedward, holding the old man's hand and offering him words of love and strength. Occasionally, the nurse suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile. He refused. Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine was oblivious of her and of the night noises of the hospital - the clanking of the oxygen tank, the laughter of the night staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans of the other patients. Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words. The dying man said nothing, only held tightly to his son all through the night. Along towards dawn, the old man died. The Marine released the now lifeless hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse. While she did what she had to do, he waited. Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of sympathy, but the Marine interrupted her. "Who was that man?" he asked. The nurse was startled, "He was your father," she answered. "No, he wasn't," the Marine replied. "I never saw him before in my life." "Then why didn't you say something when I took you to him?" "I knew right away there had been a mistake, but I also knew he needed his son, and his son just wasn't here. When I realized that he was too sick to tell whether or not I was his son, knowing how much he needed me, I stayed." I came here tonight to find a Mr. William Grey. His Son was Killed in Iraq today, and I was sent to inform him. What was this Gentleman's Name? The Nurse with Tears in Her Eyes Answered, Mr. William Grey............. The next time someone needs you ... just be there. Stay. WE ARE NOT HUMAN BEINGS GOING THROUGH A TEMPORARY SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE. WE ARE SPIRITUAL BEINGS GOING THROUGH A TEMPORARY HUMAN EXPERIENCE. THIS IS WHAT WE ARE PUT ON THIS EARTH TO DO ANYWAY. RIGHT ? GOD BLESS OUR WARFIGHTERS AND THEIR FAMILYS

  9. Ok guys and girls...here are some that I've heard before, are there others? Let's keep it PG, OK? Did it hurt? (Did what hurt?) When you fell out of heaven? Was your father a thief? 'Cause someone stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes. Can I borrow a quarter? ["What for?"] I want to call my mom and tell her I just met the woman of my dreams. Damn, if being sexy was a crime, you'd be guilty as charged! Do you have a map? Because I just keep getting lost in your eyes! Somebody better call God, cuz heaven's missing an angel! Excuse me; can you empty your pockets? I believe you have stolen my heart. If looks could kill you would be a weapon of mass destruction. My love for you is like the universe... never-ending! I must be a snowflake, 'cuz I've fallen for you. When God made you, he was showing off. Hi, I'm Mr. Right. Someone said you were looking for me. Are you religious? Cause you are the answers to all my prayers. Is that a wad of Dinar in your pocket or are you happy to see me?

  10. I am not trying to be pessimistic here just being REAL. This RV can not wait anymore. It's go time folks. If it does not happen soon like the next couple of days. I don't know if it's going to go down. Here are my thoughts 1. Iran is next door to Iraq. DUUHHHHH. How much longer do you think the Iraqi people are going to sit on their hands after seeing what's going on in Iran and Egypt? 2. If the people of Iraq stand up and over throw Maliki, do you REALLYthink that allawi is going to be promoted over night and form gov't in 48 hours and an RV when it has taken a year to form gov't. REALLY???? 3. If all these rumors of bleachers and "big announcements" are true why aren't we seeing it on the news? Just words of thought. I am just worried that if people take to the streets, we are done!!!! Uncs

  11. Okay, here goes. Be kind to me. I'm a professional musician and was, this last weekend, playing in Florida. The limo driver from the airport and I started talking and he said he was from Nasiriya. He had been here since just before shock and awe. His whole family still lives there and he talks to them weekly. I asked about his opinion of the morale of his family and friends still in Iraq. Smiling slyly, he said they are ecstatic and knew they would all be "quite wealthy" very soon. We discussed the Dinar and I had to ask about the lower demons. He said there were none at this time as far as he knew. On Sunday, Ali again shuttled me back to the airport. He said he was happy to see me and proceed to talk in depth about the political system, M, A, Shabbs, the whole 9 yards. His opinion is the government has been complete for a while and that an RI/RV doesn't really need to happen right now. He was a big M fan and felt his intentions were for the Iraqi people. I mentioned about the foreign contractors and investors were skittish because of the devalued currency. He countered with security is the biggest obstacle for those entities, not the currency. He sited China and yes, Vietnam and their currency policies. We all know what that's all about, now don't we? As he dropped me off, he told me that I will be wealthy off my investment but needed to remain patient. WTO, last of the sanctions lifted and the US military out were what he thought would be the steps toward RI/RV. I, kiddingly asked him date and rate. Smiling slyly again, said not until after June and a dirty float for 90-120 days to cash in at .85-1.15. After that, a free float and the value will skyrocket. I came away both elated and disappointed. It appears we have more time to invest more, if that's what you want to do. I know this is just opinion and rumor but wanted to pass it on. Go RV!!

  13. Frank26 Post: KTFM - 15 February 2011 Good evening Family, Before I start ……may I give my respects and thanks to my moderators that help me on our Monday and Thursday CC’s. With that same thought……I wish to salute the moderators and administrators of KTFM. May I ask the KTFM Family to pray for our Executive Board. As the CEO of the Executive Board………I am nothing without them. ("Amen Frank...Ron...!") Each one of us has our own cross to carry from life’s burdens……..please pray for these leaders and their families. Thank you kindly. This is DELTA and Team’s report for 2-15-11. I saw where some of you were saying that the GOI worked today. Last night on our CC we told you that today is Mohammad’s birthday. We told you Iraqi TV said it is a National holiday. They said they would have celebrations today ………well they did Family. The GOI DID NOT WORK AT ALL TODAY. Iraqi TV made that very clear and said they plan to get to work again tomorrow. Many of you disagree and believe what you saw in articles today. Sorry……….THEY DID NOT WORK TODAY. Go to the CBI website notice today’s date has had an asterisk next to it for some time now. Take note…….no auction today……..it’s a National holiday. Take another note……..banks were closed today in Iraq! They will start working on the budget tomorrow ……..AND NOT STOP UNTIL THEY FINISH IT! (Team feels Mohammad’s birthday was celebrated in order to pay respect to the Sunnis.) TV said that M is spending a lot of time with A. TV said finance committee has already sent “papers” to parliament. (not sure what they meant but we opinionate budget material) TV kept repeating the urgency to finish the budget as soon as possible. (yes……they said the budget would be done next week……but they say this every week. Take note ……..progress is being made every week.) TV said all three security positions once again…..by next week. TV said that A’s position will be given to him after the Arab Summit. They say the position needs to be approved. TV said that US Ambassador (author representatives) met with M and A today ……..which can only be good for us! TV said UST (author representatives) and aides are still there and now meeting with the finance committee. In fact they said they are meeting with everyone………which can only be good for us! (Team feels pressure from US representatives is being put on Brazzini in turn pressure on M who puts pressure on A etc etc.) This is my favorite pressure for today……TV says that the MoP/CBI have reported that inflation went up last month in Iraq. Sorry I could not hear my Team very well but I believe Team said by 2%. This is excellent pressure to pass the budget and introduce the LD’s!!! TV said that M is going to KU tomorrow. T is returning back from Syria. TV said only M will make the trip to KU to resolve the remaining issues between the two countries in order for Iraq to be completely lifted from CH7. (they say it’s an ongoing process to form the GOI even though they announced it in Dec……….they say CH7 has been lifted and congratulated by the world. Yet they seek freedom from CH7……see why I say the things I say?) M came on TV and told the Iraqis that he ADMITS the lack of services for them. He said they are trying to get the utilities on line for them. (another example of M trying to communicate with the restless Iraqis before they change their peaceful tactics of voicing their needs) TV said on the 25th Iraqis will stage a demonstration due to the lack of these services. (keep it peaceful Iraqis…..kill them with the kindness they don’t show you) When Chaney ran for VP they did a financial audit to qualify him. I remember watching him on TV on the steps of the White House when a reporter asked him ……..your financial report says you made millions but you paid no taxes. He replied…….I do not……..I am an LLC and my corporation pays the taxes. I also remember when I was studying American History in High School reading something that has stayed with me since then. It is our duty to pay our taxes but our responsibility to avoid them. I interview people on my new website on a variety of subjects. I have never been interested in learning about Offshore accounts. I talked to Frank G. Buck who has a doctorate of Business Law. Normally I interview people for 30 minutes…….this one went an hour. Whether you are interested in doing something like this or not it would behoove you to listen and learn if nothing more. I walked away stunned with what I learned. I cannot talk about it on my forum but you know how to find my website. Go to the Blue Pages on any KTFM page and click on my ad. It will take you to my website and look for the interview with Frank G. Buck on Offshore Corporations & Banking. The recording should be up tonight or tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow……I will be the speaker on **********’s radio show at 9pm EST. I will be on for an hour and a half so if you are bored come and join us. I will ask DD to give me the link where you can hear the CC and I will post it tomorrow night. Finally……..the Arab Summit at the end of March ……..IMO holds some clues. First of all ……..they are claiming that they will be ready for this summit by improving conditions in Iraq. Kind of reminds me of the Olympics. When a country is selected in advance to represent the Olympics ……that country pours billions of dollars into its economy in turn building its infrastructure. Iraq is saying they are going to have a lot of things built by the time the summit comes around. Maybe they will have the utilities by then. If they go on a campaign to start building roads……bridges……buildings…….hotels etc well that would go a long way in creating jobs. It would also be wise to have a valuable and tradable currency to bring in the supplies needed to perform such a rebuilding of Iraq. (Added after Original Post - both remarks speak of this last paragraph): "IMO............This is the heart of my post tonight Friend. There are clues here. Let's see how many we can find as the ...........Month ends." ... AND ... "OH MY GOODNESS ............You should see the amazing hotels and buildings they have already built. Not news worthy. BTW..........This was my favorite part of my post 2nite: (they say it’s an ongoing process to form the GOI even though they announced it in Dec……….they say CH7 has been lifted and congratulated by the world. Yet they seek freedom from CH7……see why I say the things I say?)" Below are some articles that our newshounds put together. Some will tie in with the TV info we shared and one is on an interesting subject about the ration cards. Please enjoy. Prime Minister will visit Kuwait on Wednesday A media adviser to Prime Minister Ali al-Moussawi said that Nuri al-Maliki will, tomorrow, Wednesday, visit the State of Kuwait. The al-Moussawi told (Voices of Iraq) that al-Maliki will visit Kuwait tomorrow to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries. For its part, issued a Saudi newspaper published on Tuesday, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki will travel to Kuwait on Wednesday at the head of an official delegation. And El Watan newspaper quoted what it called official sources as saying that al-Maliki will travel to Kuwait on the day (Wednesday) at the head of an official delegation to discuss the outstanding issues between the two countries. It is expected to discuss al-Maliki with Kuwaiti officials outstanding issues between the two countries, which includes one Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations a lot of files, notably the compensation paid by Iraq by the invasion of Kuwait in 1990, and the position of Kuwait from Iraq would emerge from Chapter VII of the UN Charter, as well as the demarcation of the border between the two countries and the remains of missing Kuwaitis. The statement quoted, the director of the company Muthana Jabbar Abdul-Zahra said that his company obtained the approval of His Excellency the Prime Minister for the purchase of 350 thousand tons of wheat imported for the benefit of the ration card items in order to ensure the continued distribution of flour to the citizens on an ongoing basis without interruption or delay, indicating that the quantities to be purchased will be the creators of the well-known to produce high-quality wheat and flour which gives the taste of Iraqi citizens agree. Transfers made a deal to buy aircraft to the ration card Radio Sawa Government decided to refer the amount of $ 900 million was earmarked in the budget this year to buy aircraft "F 16" U.S. allocations to support the ration card and the network of social protection. He said Iraqi government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh told the French press that the purchase contract for the F 16 fighter jets after the transfer of funds allocated to it to support the ration card. 14. Interesting that a newbie comes out of nowhere, is a member for 5 days, and is the only one to have the real "truth"......essentially meaning that all of us and most of the leading nations on earth are essentially chumps....duped by the GOI and CBI. Read with much scepticism my fellow vets. IMO, the plants and disinformation types are alive and looking to stir things up. Stay grounded as many believe this ride is about to come to a halt and Irag take it's place in the world community of nations with a real currency.

  15. [scooter] i can only tell you what i think -- not based on published docs or imf or world bank -- i think we are at the end of this game --- i really don't think this can go any longer than june --- in fact --- march 31st Read more: http://dinarvets.com.../#ixzz1E7y8FFFY That , I can agree on! If Iraq is dumb enough t let the DFI come out of protection before the RV, then they should get sued! I,WE, don,t know what is going on behind closed doors over there, but it is not about the rate and date of a RV! It,s more like ,Who,s on first and what,s on second and my dad can beat up your dad and on and on! IRAQ needs new leadership from some of thier younger grads that want to come into politics. Vent, OVER! ENUFF SAID! I assume the double RV thing would be like coming out at say $.86 and in 3 months come out again at $2.49 or something like that! If they come out any where around $1, I'll be gone like last Sundays paper. My opinion is they come out between the EURO and Baharain! IMO. That,s $1.35 and $2.66. I forgot , Thanks Scooter for all your hard work!

My buddy just said parliament in session since yesterday and not breaking until complete (also in the news), also Maliki needs to head to Kuwait in 2.5 hours so just common sense and piecing things together guys I think we are hours away. [bUCKEYE] I am able to verify what he was saying. I also know Maliki can't go to Kuwait til it RV; he needs that ri/rv to satisfy the contractual situation with Kuwait. [CAGEtrucker] BUCKEYE exactly and he is supposed to leave in 2 hours. CAGEtrucker are you able to tell them what your friend does in Iraq? [CAGEtrucker] He is with the Army Special forces, he secures everything before digintaries visit, trains Iraqi forces, and escorts VIP's if needed [bUCKEYE] it all points to it [buckwheat] [dinartowncrier] Parliament was not in session Tues Feb 15th....All bank institutions were closed and parliament will reconvene on Wed the 16th... 19. While he may have had good intentions for his people and his country, he used us to do what he and other Iraqis should have done. Fight back! I'm not saying our leaders aren't just as responsible for our actions but he used us, ultimately costing the lives of our soldiers and innocent Iraqis. While I ultimately hold Saddam responsible for not stepping down and doing what is right for his people... I would now say that if it was okay to contribute to use our country to do the work the Iraqi men werent willing to do, then they should pay for their freedom, as we were mercenaries doing thier dirty work! Comming from one Marine that spent 2 years there and was almost killed at least a dozen times and watched my fellow Marines die for their freedom!

  21. [scooter] if we extend the debt [scooter] we seriously jeopardize our credit rating [scooter] if that happens [scooter] we don't want to think about that [scooter] just stock up on alot of water and food items [scooter] that's all i'll say Thank you Riley for posting this Please, everyone should pay attention to Scooters remark regarding the above quote...he is NOT joking and we should not take this advice lightly. One can smile at these comments, and think it will never come to this...I would say to you you are wrong. Understanding where we are at right now...and that the USTreasury via Tim Geithner has quietly warned Pres. Obama that anywhere between March 31 and May 16, the US faces default. Now this statement will do one thing...they WILL raise the debt ceiling again, so take Scooters advice and learn simple ways to prepare as stated. This problem is NOT going to go away, so even with a good revaluation, before jumping on the spending bandwagon, please take thought for the daily needs, as some items, food, clean water, etc., may become a very difficult item to acquire as things continue to decay. There is much for all of us to consider...even with an eventual RV, rough times ahead. Do not allow anyone to fool you, and take necessary precautions and pray for wisdom during these times. We all need it. The U.S. out of control spending is not going to stop anytime soon. Thank you Scooter for the info and your thoughts All my best! Jim ---

  22. IMO I think that a new section called Dinar Related News Only should be started. We used to be able to go to the news section and read up on news that pertained to IQD. Now days you go to the news section and people are posting every little bit of news that they can find on anything that happens in Iraq and making the list so long that it has become hard to determine which news topic to read. I find myself some days totally skipping the news section because of this. If people want to read about every little thing that happens over there they can go to the News websites for Iraq and read all day. I know that some people have good intentions when they are doing this but I think that they are going a little overboard. I'm not bashing, just saying that it seems as though some people seem to have a need to see their name on topic after topic and I'm talking maybe 10 or 12 topics in a row and through all of it you may not even see one thing that refers to IQD. Again, just my opinion sorry if it trips a nerve somewhere.

  24. – 34 mins ago LONDON – An Iraqi man whose testimony the United States used as a key evidence to build a case for war in Iraq says he is proud that he lied about his country developing mobile biological warfare labs. The Guardian newspaper published an interview Wednesday with Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi, who has been identified as the informer called "Curveball," whose claims about weapon labs formed part of then-U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell's speech to the U.N. Security Council in 2003, shortly before the war began. The Guardian quoted al-Janabi as saying: "I had the chance to fabricate something to topple the regime. I and my sons are proud of that." Although some intelligence agents were skeptical of Curveball's story, the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee reported in 2004 that the Central Intelligence Agency "withheld important information about Curveball's reliability" from analysts dealing with the case. The Guardian interviewed al-Janabi in Karlsruhe, Germany in a mixture of Arabic and German. The U.S. Senate panel's report said Curveball spoke in English and Arabic when he was interrogated by intelligence officers. Asked about his feeling's about the deaths and destruction during the war and in the years following, The Guardian said al-Janabi said there was no other way. "I tell you something when I hear anybody not just in Iraq but in any war (is) killed, I am very sad. But give me another solution. Can you give me another solution?" the newspaper quoted him as saying. "Saddam did not (allow) freedom in our land," the Iraqi said. "There are no other political parties. You have to believe what Saddam says, and do what Saddam wants. And I don't accept that. I have to do something for my country. So I did this and I am satisfied, because there is no dictator in Iraq any more." LINK

  25. The best lawyer story of all time. The United Way realized that it had never received a donation from the city's most successful lawyer. So a United Way volunteer paid the lawyer a visit in his lavish office. The volunteer opened the meeting by saying, "Our research shows that even though your annual income is over two million dollars, you don't give a penny to charity. Wouldn't you like to give something back to your community through the United Way?" The lawyer thinks for a minute and says, "First, did your research also show you that my mother is dying after a long, painful illness and she has huge medical bills that are far beyond her ability to pay?" Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbles, "Uh . . . no, I didn't know that." "Secondly," says the lawyer, "did it show that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair and is unable to support his wife and six children?" The stricken United Way rep begins to stammer an apology, but is cut off again. "Thirdly, did your research also show you that my sister's husband died in dreadful car accident, leaving her penniless with a mortgage and three children, one of whom is disabled and another who has learning disabilities requiring an array of private tutors?" The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, says, "I'm so sorry, I had no idea." And the lawyer says, "So . . . if I didn't give any money to them, what makes you think I'd give any to you? "

  28. What's the difference between a million, a billion, a trillion? A million seconds is 12 days. A billion seconds is 31 years. A trillion seconds is 31,688 years. A million minutes ago was – 1 year, 329 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes ago. A billion minutes ago was just after the time of Christ. A million hours ago was in 1885. A billion hours ago man had not yet walked on earth. A million dollars ago was five (5) seconds ago at the U.S. Treasury. A billion dollars ago was late yesterday afternoon at the U.S. Treasury. [Note: this was pre-Obama] A trillion dollars is so large a number that only politicians can use the term in conversation... probably because they seldom think about what they are really saying. I've read that mathematicians do not even use the term trillion! Here is some perspective on TRILLION: Trillion = 1,000,000,000,000. The country has not existed for a trillion seconds. Western civilization has not been around a trillion seconds. One trillion seconds ago – 31,688 years – Neanderthals stalked the plains of Europe.

  38. I think you need to brush up on the news. Iraqis are protesting and a huge protest is planned for February 25th in Baghdad. Three people were shot last week during a protest. And these are not personal feelings - they are fact. Iraqis demonstrate over lack of basic services Email Feb-6-11 10:35am From: reuters.com BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Hundreds of Iraqis took part in scattered demonstrations on Sunday, calling for an improvement in basic services and the resignation of local government officials as unrest sweeps much of the Arab world. In Baghdad, around 250 people gathered in the impoverished district of Bab al-Sham to protest against a lack of services. "It is a tragedy. Even during the Middle Ages, people were not living in this situation," said engineer Furat al-Janabi. Some carried a coffin with the word "services" written across it, while others called for the resignation of all members of the local council in their area. Almost eight years after the U.S.-led invasion, Iraq's infrastructure remains severely damaged. The country suffers a chronic water shortage, electricity supply is intermittent and sewage collects in the streets. While public frustration is a challenge to the government as Iraq emerges from the sectarian war after the invasion, the country has already been freed from the autocratic rule that protesters in other countries such as Egypt are seeking to end. In the oil city of Basra, 420 km (260 miles) south of Baghdad, around 100 protesters demanded the resignation of the governor and members of the city council, saying they were corrupt. The demonstrators carried yellow cards symbolizing the warning card a referee carries in a soccer match. "I and my children depend totally on food rations, without it we will die. I find work for one day, and then nothing for 10 days after that," said 43-year-old Nuri Ghadhban, a day laborer in the construction industry and father of six. "I have been looking for kerosene for a month and I cannot find it. We have had enough. What do they (officials) want? For us to burn ourselves until they think about us?" Protests in Tunisia which forced out President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali last month began after a young unemployed man set himself on fire in protest at his treatment by the authorities. Since then, there has been a series of self-immolations around the Arab world. Other demonstrations were staged in the western Iraqi city of Ramadi and in a town near the southern city of Diwaniya. A smaller protest took place in the northern city of Mosul. The protests were peaceful and came after Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, reappointed to a second term in December, announced that he planned to take only half his $30,000 monthly salary and would also push for a two-term limit on his office. Iraqi police opened fire last Thursday to disperse hundreds of residents protesting about shortages of power, water and other services near the city of Diwaniya, wounding three. Similar protests, directed at power shortages, were held last June in Basra, where police opened fire. Two protesters died. 39. A nation's currency is only as good as the government behind it, and this government hasn't been too impressive so far. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they come out around the value of the Saudis at $.27. Kuwait's currency was a free floating currency when it RVd. Iraq's won't be IMO. I think it would be insane to subject the IQD to market forces when bombs are still going off and the country is still unstable. I think Iraq wanted to wait until things stabilized so that they could justify a higher value, but circumstances might force them to act now and settle for a lower rate. Too bad they couldn't get their act together and RV last year when things weren't in such turmoil.

  41. [size="5"]Your all wrong and nobody is right! My opinion is that you cannot over analyze Iraq. If you are truly a technical trader and good at it then simply say this. Fundamentally: 1. We are buying a currency at historically low levels 2. The Country is rich in resources 3. They have a democratic society in it's infancy 4. New Government with controlls in place 5. Extream foriegn investments Technically: 1. we have been in a bottom for years 2. The base rose 40% since 2004 and the value has pegged around 1170 3. The impression has been that the value of the currency cannot possibly break to the upside 4. This is positive proof that the Dinar will increase in value. 5. The longer the base, the higher the break out and rise (Mark - up) Stay on this bus or should I say (Rocket) because when it moves, it will be too late![/size]

  50. If Maliki said Americans would be happy on Tuesday, and it ends up it is a holiday, I guess he got us, didn't he. Do you think it was really a goal of his to make Americans happy? As it has been said many times, don't watch what they say.....watch what they do. I would suggest that we take our wants out of this RV equation and look for the needs of the Iraqi people. Do you have food in the kitchen? Hell, a lot of them don't even have a kitchen. Can you take your child to a doctor? What if you had three kids that were hungry, sick, and you lived in dirt and waste? And you have been doing this for years......not a few months. Now, think about the difference between something that you want and something that you need...... God bless America and God bless the Iraqi people.
