{Baghdad: Euphrates News} declares Prime Minister, General Commander of theArmed Forces, Haider al - Abadi, at the seventh and a half, the statement of victory over the terrorist gangs Daesh, from Mosul.

DUBAI (Reuters)

Said the Information Office of the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, on Twitter on Monday, that Abbadi declared victory over the organization of "Daesh" in Mosul room counter-terrorism operations.

Iraqi television had earlier said that Abbadi will direct a "historic statement" after he arrived in Mosul yesterday to congratulate the military leaders to win the battle lasted for about nine months to flush out militants.

He said in an urgent news bulletin "will broadcast the Iraqi Media Network channels and broadcasts a historic statement to the General Commander of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi."

Abbadi arrived in Mosul yesterday to congratulate the leaders of the army after about nine months of fierce fighting in Mosul, the main stronghold of the organization in Iraq.

Iraqi PM formally declares victory in Mosul-speech on state TV

 

 

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi formally declared victory over Islamic State on Monday in a speech on state television, marking the biggest defeat for the group since it declared a caliphate three years ago.

"I announce from here the end and the failure and the collapse of the terrorist state of falsehood and terrorism which the terrorist Daesh announced from Mosul," he said using an Arabic acronym for Islamic State.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – The Prime Minister of Iraq on Monday declared the full liberation of Mosul as the last Islamic State (IS) controlled area in the Old City was taken by Iraqi forces.

In a statement at the Counter Terrorism Service's headquarter in Mosul, Iraqi PM Haider al-Abadi officially announced the defeat of the militant group in the capital of the self-claimed IS caliphate in Iraq.
