  14. It's getting real now! Mohammad Mirmohammadi, 71, was an Expediency Council member who advised Khamenei and settled disputes between him and parliament. COVID-19 has already infected Iran's vice president and deputy health minister. His death comes after the country rejected help from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday -- who announced last week the U.S. was concerned Iran may have covered up details on the spread of the virus. CHINA CLOSES FIRST MAKESHIFT HOSPITAL AS NEW CASES DROP IN COUNTRY, INCREASE WORLDWIDE Pedestrians wearing face masks walk on the sidewalks in northern Tehran, Iran, Sunday, March 1, 2020. While the new coronavirus has extended its reach across the world, geographic clusters of infections were emerging, with Iran, Italy and South Korea seeing rising cases. (AP Photo/Vahid Salemi) "We neither count on such help nor are we ready to accept verbal help," Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said during a briefing on Monday. He added the country has always been "suspicious" over American intentions, and that the U.S. government was trying to weaken Iranians' spirits over the outbreak. Iran's mortality rate from the virus is roughly 5.5 percent, compared to an overall fatality rate of about 2 percent in China. The difference in rates has led people to suggest the number of infections in Iran is higher than what the country has officially reported. Iran has 978 confirmed cases of the virus after recording its first case less than two weeks ago. 15. https://www.thenational.ae/world/the-americas/pete-buttigieg-drops-out-of-the-democratic-presidential-contest-1.986734 Pete Buttigieg drops out of the Democratic presidential contest Former Democratic presidential candidate and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg walks to speak with members of the media, Sunday, March 1, 2020, in Plains, Ga. AP Photo Pete Buttigieg is ending his presidential campaign, people close to his campaign said on Sunday. The path for the young, ex-mayor of a small Indiana city became improbable after disappointing finishes in the Nevada caucuses and South Carolina primary. Despite gaining more delegates than front-runner Bernie Sanders in Iowa, Mr Buttigieg failed to catch on with non-white voters. On the campaign trail, Mr Buttigieg presented himself as a representative of a younger generation ready to take over from septuagenarians such as Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden. He also touted his service as a Navy intelligence officer, including his duty in Afghanistan, which he said gave him credibility on national security. He won the Iowa caucuses and placed second in New Hampshire but had trouble in the next two states, where non-white voters came into play. Mr Buttigieg came third in Nevada. And he came in fourth in South Carolina, with just 2 per cent support from African Americans, who account for majority of the state’s Democratic voters. He failed to build a diverse base of support because he was known for firing the African-American police and fire chiefs in South Bend, Indiana where he was mayor. Mr Buttigieg’s biography made him something of a wunderkind among the Democratic contenders. He graduated from Harvard University and then was a Rhodes Scholar. He was the youngest mayor of a city with a population over 100,000 when he was elected at age 29 and is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan. He was also the first openly *** presidential candidate to win delegates toward the nomination. Mr Buttigieg came out as *** while running for re-election for mayor, which he won handily, and his husband Chasten joined him on the presidential campaign trail. The candidate’s cerebral approach to issues drew an enthusiastic response with some audiences but failed to connect with the wider Democratic electorate. Though he was able to fund raise large amounts — he brought in the second-biggest haul of any candidate in 2019 behind Bernie Sanders — by the end of his run the campaign was bleeding cash. His lack of experience beyond the local level drew scrutiny from other candidates in a race hyper-focused on electability and unseating President Donald Trump. Mr Buttigieg had lost his bid for state treasurer of Indiana in 2010 and in 2017 withdrew his bid for chair of the Democratic National Committee on the day of the election. A super PAC backing Senator Cory Booker poked fun of the candidates’ similar resumes in an ad. Mr Booker also was a Rhodes Scholar and served as mayor of Newark, New Jersey, a city with more than twice the population of South Bend, before becoming a US senator. “He’s a Rhodes Scholar. A successful mayor. A uniter,” the ad began before flashing to an image of Mr Buttigieg. “No, not that guy. It’s Cory Booker.” Mr Buttigieg played up his youth as an asset, offering himself as a candidate for generational change. “I bring a different perspective,” Mr Buttigieg said in a January debate in Des Moines, Iowa. “There are enlisted people that I served with, barely old enough to remember those votes on the authorization after 9/11, on the war in Iraq. There are people now old enough to enlist who were not alive during those debates.” Mr Buttigieg was handicapped by lack of support from African-Americans. a key Democratic constituency. He had fired South Bend’s first black police chief who had been recording telephone calls of other officers allegedly making racist remarks in 2012. The officer later sued for racial discrimination. The racial tensions in South Bend only intensified in June 2019 when an officer shot and killed a black man. Mr Buttigieg briefly left the campaign trail to return to South Bend to address the crisis. As the campaign went on, Mr Buttigieg also received criticism for pivoting mid-race from positing himself as a progressive to a moderate, younger alternative to Joe Biden. He previously expressed support for Medicare for All but then campaigned for “Medicare For All Who Want It,” which would allow for private insurance in addition to public options. Nationally Buttigieg averaged 5 per cent to 8 per cent in the RealClearPolitics average, peaking at 11.8 per cent in late November. He had no trouble raising money. In the entirety of 2019 Mr Buttigieg brought in $76.2 million. Now, Mr Buttigieg is a former mayor and former presidential candidate who hasn’t set out his future course in or out of politics. Mr Buttigieg, 38, gained traction after a CNN Town Hall in March where he criticised Vice President Mike Pence’s fundamentalist interpretation of Christianity. Pence served as governor of Indiana while Mr Buttigieg was mayor of South Bend, Indiana. “His interpretation of scripture is pretty different than mine to begin with,” Mr Buttigieg said in March. “My understanding of scripture is that it’s about protecting the stranger and the prisoner and the poor person and that idea. That’s what I get in the gospel when I’m at church and his has a lot more to do with sexuality.” (Disclaimer: Michael Bloomberg is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination. He is the founder and majority owner of Bloomberg LP, the parent company of Bloomberg News.)

The President said in a statement that "President of the Republic Barham Saleh received today, Monday in Baghdad, the head of the National Wisdom Stream Ammar al-Hakim, the head of the State of Law coalition Nuri al-Maliki, the head of the Alliance of Fath Hadi al-Amiri and the head of the Alliance victory Haider al-Abadi separately." Saleh asserted , according to the statement " the need to accelerate to reach an agreement between the political blocs to nominate the President of the Council of Ministers has accepted a national and popular", stressing the commitment to the constitutional period specified in order to form a capable government to address its tasks in the light of the challenges facing Iraq. " The President The Republic pointed out that "everyone is required for a responsible national stance to spare the country from its complicated and difficult circumstances, and to create the appropriate atmosphere for early elections and to meet the demands of Iraqis of all spectrums." During the meeting, according to the statement, "an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue and consultations between the political forces to choose and nominate an acceptable figure that would address the current situation and the benefits of the next stage and fulfill the requirements for reform in the country." After all, he was last in a loooooong line of those giving lip service on improving Iraq but yet doing nothing. The lack of quorum for Allawi just shows how fearful the current government members are of losing their corrupt ways. It will take a revolution of sorts by the people to get rid of them. The GOI doesn't have the resolve to do it themselves. Sad. So close, but yet so far.

We are used to frankness and transparency from the person previously appointed, or this is the beginning of covering up the information for the citizens." Thanks 6dly410. The above words contained in your post almost appear to be a confession. I don't get the sense that the speaker is being honest whatsoever, and that he will eventually regret his words. Once those clinging to false power are finally removed - via peaceful or other means. teue transparwncy will result, as the citizens have lived without it long enough. Iraq's 'transparent government' has had a habit since 2004 of releasing, updating or amending retroactive accounting statements 5-10 years after the period ended. It's just a matter of time before international forensic accountants and international audotors release the results of their investigation, which will shed light on the dark financial corruption and spark a tremendous positive change in inertia - with true transparency - for the citizens of Iraq.

  27. A man who had already exposed President Obama once and was about to do it again has been found shot to death in California. Police originally labeled the death a suicide but now say that the initial reports were “misinformation” and the case is still open. Haney blew the whistle on the Obama Administration for, he said, asking him to scrub the records of potential radical Islamists that the Department of Homeland Security was investigating prior to Obama’s election. Last Friday he was found dead in his car less than three miles from his home from a single gunshot wound to the head, police said. The initial reported said Haney “appeared to have suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound” and “a firearm was located next to Haney and his vehicle,” Fox NewsAds by Revcontent FindA new press release from the Amador County Sheriff’s Office now says that the death was not a suicide and that the investigation is “active and ongoing.” “On February 22, 2020 the Amador County Sheriff’s Office released initial details regarding Philip Haney being found deceased in our jurisdiction.Mr. Haney was located in a park and ride open area immediately adjacent to State Highway 16 near State Highway 124. Highway 16 is a busy state highway and used as a main travel route to and from Sacramento. The location is less than 3 miles from where he was living. “Currently we have scheduled a forensic autopsy to be performed by forensic pathologists from the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. Additionally, we have reached out to our law enforcement partners in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to assist in analyzing documents, phone records and a lap top that were recovered from the scene and Mr. Haney’s RV. We are currently in possession of his vehicle, the firearm located at the scene, and his RV and we will be requesting evidence processing assistance from the FBI on those items as well. “Our investigators conducted a neighborhood canvas and interviewed his RV park neighbors on the day of the incident along with checking key areas for any video surveillance that may exist from that time. The investigators are continuing to follow-up with the overwhelming number of persons who are calling our office from throughout the United States asking for detailed information on our investigation. “Unfortunately, there was misinformation immediately being put out that we have determined Mr. Haney’s death to be a suicide. This is not the case. We are currently in the beginning phase of our investigation and any final determination as to the cause and manner of Mr. Haney’s death would be extremely premature and inappropriate. No determination will be made until all evidence is examined and analyzed,” it said. Haney was in talks to return to the Department of Homeland Security, was engaged to be married and had a new book about shady activities in the Obama Administration due out, the Washington Examiner reported. It would make no sense for him to commit suicide. We deserve a full and fair investigation to find out what happened and why.

  31. Sunday, March 01, 2020 3:54 PM The Washington Post: Iran’s proxy network in Iraq is in chaos FacebookTwitterEmailWhatsApp The newspaper "The Washington Post" reported that the agents network of Iran in Iraq may live a state of chaos, noting that the terrorist killing of Abu Mahdi engineer may open new fronts between the Shiites "will be held attempts by Iran to reform the political and operational faults in its network" operating in Iraq. The newspaper added in a report that Iran will find it difficult to control its allies' network in this complex political scene in Iraq, which is also being contested by external powers. And he points out that the Iran network in Iraq needs a leader with political and practical experience, and it may take years to find a good replacement for an engineer who can take charge of this network. The report predicts a possible violent confrontation between rival Shiite militias that seek to shape and exploit the scene after the engineer, and also predict a volatile political environment in which Iran and the United States will wrestle directly. The newspaper indicates that Shiite militias in Iraq have been competing with each other for power and resources for decades and have been heading towards entering into major confrontations sometimes, and after the killing of the engineer, I expected that the coming months would witness the struggle of the two main political forces, the groups allied to Iran that lead the crowd, And the group of Muqtada al-Sadr. Al-Sadr has resumed the work of the “Mahdi Army” and is trying to lead the efforts to remove American forces from Iraq, and while this appears to want to prove his political connection with Iran, it is likely an attempt to prevent Iran's direct agents from expanding their influence and power at his expense. Despite the recent deal, under which al-Sadr withdrew his support for the demonstrators and the support of the new Iraqi government, which paved the way for the suppression of the demonstrators, but it is, according to the article, "a fragile deal that could quickly collapse." The report believes that this situation would "undermine Iranian influence in Iraq if it did not lead to its reversal, which could, in his view, represent an opportunity for the United States to strengthen its position in Iraq, but it is unlikely that this will happen given the" Washington's lack of a viable strategy and its presence on Earth and its limited "influence in Iraq. 45. And you started with one item and now added some more. A lot of speculation and disinformation. All of these have been discredited. I agree with you on your view of China. America has been very stupid. It basically breaks down to cheap labor and cheaper components. More profit for companies. i.e. greed Virus mutates. That is a fact. Why? My opinion* is that vaccines create the mutants. Why? Take antibiotics for example. Huge win against infections. However, with over prescriptions and usage, antibiotics have become less successful. Mutations are now out there that are antibiotic resistant. So, people getting vaccine innoculations create opportunity for mutations of that original virus as well. I point to the WHO website again where it was questioned if the focus on pandemic in 2010 was justified, wondering if letting the virus run it's course would have been better, as it creates immunities in the public and the virus goes away naturally (yes, I know SARS is still around, but other than this recent episode, it doesn't even make the news anymore). Same with virus. WHO did not like the name SARS-CoV-2. Their explanation is that they didn't want to number these. My opinion* is that - 1. Public would realize we have already survived SARS before (no pandemic after all) and would not be as suspectable to fear. 2. Fear creates funding and relevance for State, Federal, and Global agencies. They can bundle private funds for their pet projects, hiding it in the funding for virus control. 3. Reduces focus on current issues that we are dealing with (corruption by Biden, Hillarious, deep state, deficit, and on, and on...) 4.Give media and Democrats (I apologize for repeating myself - Huckabee) have opportunity to attack Trump yet again. 5. Companies that produce masks, gloves, hand soap, and more would not benefit from a huge demand on their product. * Note 1. I am not an expert in virus 2. I am not a Doctor or professional in this area 3. I have been wrong at least once before

  46. Thank You For Posting THIS Very Encouraging Article, TigerGorZow, AND ALL The Very Best To You!!! Iran is in select countries in the Middle East. Iran has been and is fomenting corruption and terrorism for the past 40 years in local Middle Eastern Countries. Iran had a network of finance in local Middle Eastern Countries. Iran has had a cohesive leadership structure in local Middle Eastern Countries. Now: Iran's revenue streams have been cut back substantially. Iran's key leadership in local countries has been neutralized. Iran's related militia faction leaders are now vying for power in local countries. The Iraqi populous is demanding Iranian militias and agents leave Iraq. Saudi Arabia is experiencing the consequence of Iranian aggression from Yemen and wants the Iranian influences in the Middle East cut way back to eliminated. If Iran is fighting their internal battles on foreign soil and is not welcomed in the country, how long before THIS attracts foreign attention to have Iranian militias and agents expelled from EVERY Middle Eastern country BACK TO Iran???!!! I like neighbors. Neighbors are good. However, if my neighbors decide to have a fight or spat on my property, I would firmly AND politely tell them to take THEIR issue somewhere ELSE. So, with Iranian finance and leadership fractured and in disarray with the toxic consequence of internal Iranian conflict on a country's soil, what benefit is there for Iran to be there with all the associated consequences? Yep. Iran IS getting THE BOOT!!! YYYEEEAAAHHH BBBAAABBBYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Moola Nova!
