  1. BLC Administrator's Chat 11/13/2013 [lightingcslt] Scooter once said, look for the Central Bank to issue bonds in local currency and that would be a great sign that Iraq is ready to change their monetary structure - tlm724 you remember that [tlm724] lightingcslt yes I do ! [lightingcslt] *hallelujah* its a coming [tlm724] even though shredd commented on the bonds I'd like to talk to him about it too [lightingcslt] tlm724 yeah where is that banker anyway [tlm724] I don't know lol [lightingcslt] tlm724 I remember more about the two banks getting thier books in order first [tlm724] lightingcslt let me look at an old scooter chat give me a few to find it [Dogznova] there's the banker now [b2stepblue] Shredd whats your take on the bonds [Dogznova] haven't they been doing bond auctions for quite some time now? [shredd] b2stepblue great news and expected as well. it's a good indication of the maturity of iraq economically [tlm724] [scoooter] So they need to diversify that economy and this will draw more to the capital markets I mean rightj now Iraq's capital markets are running at 5% of their GDP while Jordan on the other hand it's close to 200% of their GDP [shredd] agreed . yes and we've already seen that starting....a new large fund just went to market [scoooter] and that's sustanable .Shredd exactly but what's even more important is the establishment of the bond market that bond market will help the government be liquid [shredd] oh yes it will [scoooter] and that's kinda sorta important [shredd] indeed... ie sovereign bonds [scoooter] Yes --- the primary bond market will be consumed by the internal companies like insurance companies and utility companies and they'll probably be offered at a nice fat rate too I mean % . yes [shredd] yes and secondary will be financial products [scoooter] and again, they'll realize the multiplier and it's effects will be felt throughout their economy [tlm724] what's even more important is the establishment of the bond market [shredd] tlm724 hey you [tlm724] Shredd hey sorry didn't see you lol how are you ? [shredd] good, just got back from a week's vacation yesterday...catching up [tlm724] Shredd *hallelujah* [tlm724] thats the scooter chat ^^ lighters 4-25-13 [shredd] great news on the bonds......these will show investors stability [shredd] the hot word for them for over a decade [tlm724] Shredd yes !! [shredd] and what's great is bonds by nature are not short term investments so the investors to these know iraq is dependable for a longer run plus, the rate tells me it is low risk [shredd] as bonds normally are, this release is a test imo seeing the demand for the product. I 've seen this happen many times before, a new product, or a new industry or in this case a sovereign bond test the appetite and you just watch, they will be releasing more in Q1 too [lightingcslt] Shredd but only in Iraq as well [shredd] right lighters , local for now which is smart Iraq has a lot to prove to the investors who have been waiting and watching this is the first, beyond the street, step [shredd] I know we all expected this, but it is no coincidence regarding the timing by year end. I'll be looking for the prospectus and we can do a chat on it when it releases [shredd] lightingcslt intl investment will be right around the corner this be the spark we've been looking for ! The Governor of the Central Bank said that the first tranche of bonds is expected to be worth three billion Iraqi dinar Baghdad/Obelisk, said Abdul Basit Turki, Governor of the Central Bank said Tuesday that Iraq is planning to issue bonds in local currency for the first time since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, which would give the country a new tool of monetary policy. Turkish, he said on the sidelines of a Conference in Geneva that the first tranche of bonds are expected to amount to three billion dinars (2.58 million US dollars). He added that this will be the first time that a bond issue for fiscal policy and not for the purpose of funding. It will increase the bond order for five years and hopes the Central Bank issued the first tranche before the end of the year, although that decision will be taken with the participation of the Ministry of finance. He said that the bond interest is expected to be less than the standard interest rate of the Central Bank of 6 percent. He said Iraq's inflation rate of 2 percent describing it as a rare and very good number. 2. Hi Everyone .. here's a post from Frank26 for those of you who might be interested in seeing what he has to say today (forwarded to D.R.). He actually has some good points in this post, if you can get through his veiled comments of his "blue post" - oh yes, it's not meant for "us", but only for those who pay for his closed CC's. If you don't like Frank, please don't read this...LOL As always, eat the meat and spit out the bones. Have a great evening DV ..... RON Frank26 Thoughts - Wednesday PM - 11/13/2013 GREETINGS FAMILY AS I TOLD YOU ON MONDAY …......I WILL NOT TALK ABOUT OUR TEAMS SO SPECIFICALLY AS I USED TO. IF I WAS TO DO A BLUE POST DURING THE WEEK SUCH AS THIS ONE......IT WOULD CONTINUE IN THE DIRECTION OF EXPLAINING ARTICLES WITH VALUE. YESTERDAY ON OUR CC WE POINTED OUT TO YOU THAT TURKI WAS IN GENEVA ASKING FOR BONDS TO SUPPORT HIS COUNTRY. WE SHOWED YOU THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS ACTION BY TELLING YOU THAT IT WAS ALMOST COMICAL. AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS MONTH IRAQ DECLARES TO THE INTERNATIONAL WORLD......THAT THEY HAVE OVER 78 BILLION TO SUPPORT THEIR CURRENCY. IN REALITY..... .ONE WOULD HAVE TO MULTIPLY THAT BY A LARGER FACTOR TO HONESTLY UNDERSTAND THE VALUE AND POTENTIAL OF THIS COUNTRY CALLED IRAQ. IT'S A JOKE TO CONSIDER THAT TURKI WANTS A LITTLE OVER 2 BILLION IN BONDS TO RUN HIS COUNTRY UNLESS HE'S GOING TO BUILD A SWIMMING POOL IN HIS BACKYARD WITH THAT MONEY.......HE'S GOING TO NEED MANY MORE BILLIONS. JOCKULARITY WAS ABOUND WHEN WE CONSIDERED THAT GENEVA WOULD GRANT THIS BOND AT 1166 THEN ALLOW IT TO MATURE AND PAY IT AT A MUCH HIGHER RATE THAT QUALIFIES FOR INTERNATIONAL STATUS. WTO IS FINISHED REVIEWING IRAQ'S QUALIFICATIONS TO ENTER THEIR INTERNATIONAL CLUB AND ARE SOON TO RELEASE THE RESULTS. WHY WOULD THE WTO WASTE OUR TIME AND PLAY WITH THEIR OWN MINDS BY SAYING THEY ARE READY TO GIVE THIS REPORT …........AND THEN GIVE IRAQ A FAILING GRADE OF NON-INTERNATIONAL STATUS? YOU SEE WHY WE FOUND THIS HUMORUS? BUT I AM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT THE INVITATION FROM GENEVA TO TURKI IS NO LAUGHING MATTER. IT IS A POWERFUL STEP ….....IT IS A BLESSING. WHY? HENCE THE REASON FOR THIS POST TO SUPPLEMENT MY KTFA FAMILY FROM MONDAY AND TUESDAY'S CC. WILL IT BE COPIED AND PASTED......MORE THAN LIKELY. BUT THE SUBJECT IS ALL FROM ARTICLES AND NOT IMO AT ZERO RUMOR LEVEL. HERE IT GOES: KTFA FAMILY.......I NEED FOR YOU TO GO WAY BACK WITH ME IN YOUR NOTES AND RECALL AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT THAT TURKI MADE TO THE WORLD CONCERNING THE CBI. TURKI MADE IT VERY CLEAR THAT AS THEY WOULD APPROACH THE END OF THEIR MONETARY REFORM.......THE CBI AUCTIONS WOULD NO LONGER BE REQUIRED. THE CBI ….....BY LAW IN ORDER TO ENTER THE INTERNATIONAL WORLD WOULD HAVE TO STOP THE CBI AUCTIONS. HE SAID THAT ONCE THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED........BONDS WOULD BE ISSUED TO REPLACE THE AUCTIONS. YOU SEE FAMILY.........TURKI DOES CBI AUCTIONS FOR MANY REASONS BUT THE PRIMARY FUNCTION IS TO MAINTAIN AND CONTROL HIGH INFLATIONARY CORE RATES. WITHOUT THE AUCTIONS......INFLATION IN IRAQ WOULD SPIRAL OUT OF CONTROL SUFFOCATING ANY ECONOMIC FUTURE GROWTH. SO AS THE BIRTH OF INTERNATIONAL STATUS FOR THE IQD APPROACHES US........WE SEE TURKI BUYING BONDS.......SO MAY I POLITELY ASK......WHY NOW? THE CBI AUCTIONS ARE BRINGING IN FUNDS OF APPROXIMATELY 2 MILLION PER DAY. AN INTERNATIONAL LEVEL SHOULD BRING IN BETWEEN 3 TO 4 BILLION PER MONTH. NOW DO YOU SEE WHY TURKI'S REQUEST OF A LITTLE OVER 2 BILLION IN BONDS IS RIDICULOUS? AT 1166 ….....IT'S LUDICRIS. BUT AT A HIGHER RATE THEN THE MATH BECOMES.........NEW MATH. AN INTERNATIONAL DOOR IS OPENED WITH IRAQ'S CURRENCY. THE WTO SMILES.......YOU SMILE. THERE IS MORE.......SHOULD I GO ON? NONE OF THIS IS IMO.....IT'S IN THEIR OPINION. CHECK THIS OUT: I TOLD YOU YESTERDAY THAT GENEVA IS LIKE THE HEART OF YOUR BODY. IT DOES NOT PURFUSE BLOOD.......IT MOVES INTERNATIONAL CURRENCY.......THE BLOOD OF THIS EARTH. STOP AND THINK VERY CAREFULLY ABOUT THIS FAMILY.........IF GENEVA IS AN EXPERT AT DEALING WITH PROFITS AND LOSSES.......THEN WHY WOULD THEY INVITE TURKI TO SIT ON A BOARD WITH THEM.....SIDE BY SIDE........TO TAKE TURKI'S ADVICE ON HOW TO DEAL WITH DEBT? GENEVA ASKED TURKI TO SIT ON AN ADVISORY BOARD WITH THEM TO STUDY INTERNATIONAL DEBT. YOU KNOW WHAT GENEVA IS TELLING THE INTERNATIONAL WORLD? THAT THEY ACCEPT IRAQ.......THE CBI........TURKI AS ONE OF THEIR OWN. INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION. KTFA FAMILY.......UNDERSTAND THE MAGNITUDE OF TURKI AND THE CBI GOING FROM A BASEMENT THIRD WORLD BANKING ENVIRONMENT TO THE TOP PENTHOUSE OF INTERNATIONAL RESPECTIBILITY. TURKI? …......GIVING GENEVA ADVICE ON DEBT REDUCTION? HOW THE DICKENS IS THAT POSSIBLE.......SAID CHARLES? WELL HERE IS HOW SAID THE RAVEN........IRAQ IS SOON TO BE DEBT FREE!!! IRAQ AND THE CBI HAVE GONE THROUGH YEARS OF TORTURE WITH THEIR DEBT........THIS IS VALUABLE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE. SO......WHY IS TURKI SITTING ON THIS GENEVA BOARD OF INTERNATIONAL STATUS THAT DEALS WITH WORLD DEBT? CAN YOU THINK OF SOMEONE BETTER........AT THIS MAGIC MOMENT IN TIME? CAN YOU IMAGINE IF I GAVE YOU MY OPINION........LOL! LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THE WORLD'S MONEY EVENTUALLY RUNS THROUGH GENEVA. THEY ARE MAKING IT KNOWN IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD WHERE MONEY IS KING........THAT THEY ARE BUILDING CONFIDENCE IN THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY ABOUT IRAQ BECAUSE THE INTERNATIONAL WORLD ….....IS THEIR CUSTOMER!!! PROFOUND. I HAVE ALWAYS TOLD YOU THAT THE AoP (Authors of the Plan) ….....WHOEVER THEY MAY BE.....ARE LIKENED TO A MOTHER AND FATHER. I AM SEEING GENEVA THROUGH THESE ARTICLES AS A FATHER THAT IS PUTTING HIS ARMS AROUND A SON CALLED ….....TURKI. IN ORDER TO APPRECIATE ALL OF THIS FAMILY......NEVER FORGET YOU MUST ALWAYS SEPARATE THE GOI FROM THE CBI IN YOUR INNOCENT MINDS. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I TOLD YOU MONDAY ….....THAT I ACTUALLY GAINED A LITTLE RESPECT FOR O ON HOW HE HANDLED M TWO WEEKS AGO. HE TOLD M TO PASS THE ELECTION LAW AND VISIT MIDDLE EAST COUNTRIES TO SHOW HONOR AND RESPECT. SO WITH THAT SAID.......I WOULD SURE FEEL GOOD IF NOW O WERE TO TRAVEL TO THE MIDDLE EAST AND FOLLOW M'S FOOTSTEPS OF GOOD INTERNATIONAL WILL. M STARTED IN SAUDI ARABIA.......SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD PLACE FOR O TO START AS WELL. OF COURSE THIS PART IS OBVIOUSLY IMO..........IF NOT IN MY DREAMS. STAY IN CONSTANT PRAYER KTFA FAMILY. BE STRONG AND NOW IS THE TIME TO BE EVEN STRONGER. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. MY CHRISTIAN LOVE . KTFA,FRANK

  3. Only A Texan Can Make You Feel Like A Woman A plane passed through a severe storm. The turbulence was awful, and things went from bad to worse when one wing was struck by lightning. ... One woman lost it completely. She stood up in the front of the plane and screamed, 'I'm too young to die,' she cried. Then she yelled, 'If I'm going to die, I want my last minutes on earth to be memorable! Is there anyone on this plane who can make me feel like a WOMAN?' For a moment, there was silence. Everyone stared at the desperate woman in the front of the plane. Then the man from Texas stood up in the rear of the plane. He was handsome, tall, well built, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Slowly, he started to walk up the aisle, unbuttoning his shirt as he went, one button at a time. No one moved. He removed his shirt. Muscles rippled across his chest. She gasped... Then, he spoke... 'Iron this -- and then get me a beer. -

  4. its an old chat that they brought up Scooter had said the bonds were a key component to a monetary change in local currency and here we are. This shows the validity of what scooter researched which was very thorough when he did. http://www.brecorder...nds/144294.html Tuesday, 12 November 2013 23:12Posted by Muhammad Iqbal GENEVA: Iraq plans to issue domestic currency debt for the first time since the fall of Saddam Hussein, giving the country a new monetary policy tool, its central bank chief told Reuters on the sidelines of a conference in Geneva on Tuesday. "We expect that the first issuance will be in the value of 3 billion Iraqi dinars ($2.58 million)," said Abdul-Basit Turki Saeed, speaking through an interpreter. "This is the first time after Saddam Hussein, and this is the first time that they are being issued for monetary policy and not for financing." 5. The influence of the mullahs is dangerous ... typical Islamic thinking ... you don't do what I want, or what I think you should do - you deserve death. This is a very sad commentary on the influence of these mullahs, and the hatred they fan to flames. Even if the desires are reasonable - to spout death & hatred is unacceptable under any circumstances. Thanks for the post Yota...! What's amazing is that they tie Talabani & Barzani in with Maliki - They are governing Kurdistan very well, and meeting the needs of the Kurds. But, Maliki has caused this whole mess by not acting on the necessary laws and processes to care for the people...IMHO (+) Yota...!

  6. Thanks easy! I miss Scooter. He always said the secondary markets were key to this investment. The truth be told about this particular auction it's open to the public, I would call that a secondary market. So lets pray, their is a demand.

  7. I found this site that has much info. http://www.theiodineproject.webs.com/ Introduction This site is still under construction and some pages may not be completed yet... Join the iodine experiment by clicking here to become a member... How familiar are the following signs and symptoms? "Exhaustion or fatigue, depression, sensitive to cold or cold hands and feet, weight gain, muscle and joint pains, carpal tunnel, painful soles of the feet, swollen or puffy face, eyes, arms or legs, menstrual abnormalities, fuzzy head, constipation, voice changes, increased response to allergies (itching, prickly hot skin, rashes, urticaria), regular infections such as sinus or thrush, dry hair, skin and nails, hair loss, thin eyebrows (outer third), high cholesterol (which doesn’t respond to medication), or haven’t been well since an infection/virus. All of the above signs and symptoms can be associated with low thyroid function. The following signs and symptoms are associated with an overactive thyroid: weight loss without actively trying, insomnia, anxiety, irritability, panic attacks, poor concentration, palpitations, rapid pulse, high blood pressure, increased sweating, tremors, diarrhea, tiredness, thickening of the skin, amenorrhea or light menses, muscle pain and weakness (upper arms and thighs particularly), eye problems, bulging eyes, infertility, mood swings, fine and brittle hair. Most commonly we see the low thyroid function symptoms presenting, however, it is all too easy to relate most of these signs and symptoms to many other conditions. Often our clients have seen their Doctor and been prescribed antidepressants or some may have had a thyroid test within the normal limits and told to go home to exercise and eat less*." The reality is that your body is iodine deficient as well as deficient in other essential vitamins and minerals. *(per http://monarchnaturalhealth.co.nz/nutritional-deficiencies-and-the-thyroid/) What is Iodine? Why do we need it? How much do we need? Iodine may just be the most overlooked mineral, yet its importance to overall health and well being cannot be overstated. Iodine is critical for the formation of thyroid hormone in the thyroid gland. When your thyroid suffers, so does the rest of your body. A major connection exists between low thyroid and low adrenal. Low adrenal, also called adrenal insufficiency, can actually cause someone's thyroid problem to be much worse than it would be otherwise. Why many people are iodine deficient " First of all, most of us don’t consume enough iodine. On top of that, we consume many substances that block iodine absorption in our body. There are halogens in our water including fluoride, chlorine, and perchlorate (rocket fuel). Goitrogens also block iodine uptake. There are some notable goitrogens in our food supply. One of them is bromide which is in most commercial bread, as well as some soft drinks (Mountain Dew for example). One of the biggest goitrogens in our food supply (and it’s everywhere in our food supply) is soy. Soybean oil is in salad dressing and mayonnaise. It’s in commercial baby formula. It’s in almost all packaged cakes, candies chips, and crackers. And pretty much every meal you eat at a restaurant cooks their food in soybean oil. Not only that, but most of the cows, poultry and pigs in this country are fed a diet of industrial corn and soybeans. So even if you think you’re not eating lots of soy, you probably are". Health conscious people expect conventional produce to be grown in soils deficient in essential minerals. They may be surprised to find out that organic produce is also often lacking sufficient amounts of iodine. Iodine has many actions in the body A shortage of iodine can cause changes to the thyroid gland that directly lead to poor function of metabolism and immunity. Iodine deficiency promotes free radical damage in the thyroid gland that puts the gland itself at risk. Iodine blocks various compounds from binding to and accumulating in the thyroid gland, such as fluoride, perchlorate, and goitrogens. Environmental pollution significantly aggravates an iodine lack and displaces iodine in the body. Iodine is in high concentration in the ovaries and breast tissue, acting as a buffer to the growth stimulating effects of estrogen and as a promoter of proper estrogen metabolism. Iodine assists the functioning of hormone receptors throughout the body, helping hormones communicate more effectively. Thyroid hormone governs the rate of other hormone formation, and thus governs sexual function. Iodine is essential for proper brain development and cognitive ability. There have been many studies showing the importance of iodine during gestation when cognitive potential is formed. A mother with adequate iodine levels will be more likely to produce a child with superior brain development. Therapeutic Uses of Iodine Prior to World War II and Different Forms of Iodine Dr. Abraham started this Iodine Project around 1998 when he became aware of the many benefits of treating patients with iodine using doses far beyond the 2 mg a day, which most physicians consider to be potentially toxic. He noted that starting in the 1820s, the French physician Jean Lugol used these higher doses to treat a wide variety of conditions. Dr. Lugol combined elemental iodine (5 %) and potassium iodide (10%) with 85 % water. Since iodine kills infectious agents, Dr. Lugol successfully treated many infectious conditions with this solution, which became known as Lugol’s solution, and which is still available today by prescription. Prior to World War II, many American and European physicians used Lugol’s solution to treat thyroid conditions, using doses higher than 2 mg daily without apparent significant adverse effects. Dr. Abraham notes that research has shown that the thyroid gland prefers to utilize the iodide form of iodine, while other organs, such as the breast and ovaries, prefer the elemental form of iodine. Both of these forms are present in Lugol’s solution and in the preparations discussed below. After World War II, the use of Lugol’s solution came to a grinding halt due to the publication of the Wolff-Chaikoff paper mentioned above and for other reasons discussed in Abraham’s papers. Dr. Abraham then suggests that the disease known as “Iodophobia” developed, which he describes as the irrational fear of prescribing iodine in dosages that had previously been used successfully by physicians for decades. He points out in his preface to Dr. David Brownstein’s book Iodine: Why You Need It; Why You Can’t Live Without It: “Of all the elements known so far to be essential for human health, iodine is the most misunderstood and the most feared. Yet, iodine is the safest of all the essential trace elements, being the only one that can be administered safely for long periods of time to large numbers of patients in daily amounts as high as 100,000 times the RDA. However, this safety record only applies to inorganic, nonradioactive forms of iodine. Some organic iodine containing drugs are extremely toxic and prescribed by physicians. The severe side effects of these drugs are blamed on inorganic iodine although studies have clearly demonstrated that it is the whole molecule that is toxic, not the iodine released from it.” Recent research documents the importance of proper iodine levels A study reported in the September edition of Endocrine Review noted that iodine is critical for the biological effects mediated by thyroid hormone. Iodine containing enzymes important to the action of the thyroid were also found to increase or decrease thyroid hormone signaling in a tissue-and temporal-specific fashion, independently of changes in thyroid hormone serum concentrations. It was clear to the researchers that these enzymes play a much broader role than was once thought, with great ramifications for the control of thyroid hormone signaling during vertebrate development and metamorphosis, as well as injury response, tissue repair, hypothalamic function, and energy homeostasis in adults. The September 3 edition of Cancer Causes and Control reports a review of literature focused on risk factors for thyroid cancer. The researchers found that at present, the only recognized measures for reducing thyroid cancer risk are avoiding ionizing radiation and iodine deficiency, particularly in children and young women. The European Journal of Nutrition, August edition, reports it widely accepted that the rapid rate of growth of the brain during the last third of gestation and the early postnatal stage makes it vulnerable to an inadequate diet. A deficiency of iodine during this critical period in brain development is associated with reduced intellectual ability. The August 12 edition of Medical Hypotheses reports the World Health organization showing iodine deficiency to be a worldwide health problem. As iodine status is based in median urinary iodine excretion, even in countries regarded as iodine sufficient, a considerable part of the population may be iodine deficient. Iodine deficiency traditionally results in hypothyroidism, goiter, and cretinism. Researchers hypothesized that iodine deficiency may also give rise to subtle impairment of thyroid function leading to clinical syndromes resembling hypothyroidism or diseases that have been associated with the occurrence of hypothyroidism. They described several clinical conditions suspected to be linked to iodine deficiency, including obesity, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychiatric disorders, fibromyalgia, and malignancies. Molecular Nutrition and Food Research, August 6, reports that the trace elements iodine and selenium are essential for thyroid gland functioning and thyroid hormone biosynthesis and metabolism. While iodine is needed as the eponymous constituent of the two major thyroid hormones T3 and T4, selenium is essential for the biosynthesis and function of small numbers of selenocysteine containing enzymes that control thyroid hormone turnover. The August 1 edition of Lancet reports that 2 billion individuals worldwide have insufficient iodine intake, producing adverse effects on growth and development due to inadequate production of thyroid hormone. Iodine deficiency is the most common cause of preventable mental impairment worldwide. The researchers recommended iodine supplements be used to remediate deficiency. The Alternative Medicine Review, June edition, reports that iodine deficiency is critical in pregnancy due to the consequences for neurological damage during fetal development as well as during lactation. The safety of therapeutic doses of iodine above the established safe upper limit of 1 mg is evident in the lack of toxicity in the Japanese population that consumes 25 times the median intake of iodine consumption in the United States. Japan's population suffers no demonstrable increased incidence of autoimmune thyroiditis or hypothyroidism. Studies using 3.0 to 6.0 mg doses to effectively treat fibrocystic breast disease may reveal an important role for iodine in maintaining normal breast tissue architecture and function. Iodine may also have important antioxidant functions in breast tissue and other tissues that concentrate iodine via the sodium iodide supporter. Determining iodine deficiency and proper dosage Due to the fact that iodine deficiency can have serious consequences, it is important for people to use iodine supplementation if they are not regularly getting adequate amounts from food. Good food sources of iodine are dairy products produced from cattle fed iodine-supplemented feed and salt licks, seafood, saltwater fish, seaweed, and kelp. It may also be found in asparagus, garlic, lima beans, mushrooms, sesame seed, spinach, chard, and summer squash. Some foods block the uptake of iodine into the thyroid gland when eaten raw in large amounts, such as cabbage, kale, peaches, pears and spinach. Though you may try to get a high enough iodine intake from eating the foods listed above, due to the mineral depletion of soil, content of mercury in sea products and the fact that you need 12.5mg per day you should consider iodine supplementation. An excellent supplement is Iodoral. Pregnant women, the elderly and adolescents are more predisposed to iodine deficiency. More women than men are short on iodine. In addition to low thyroid functioning, symptoms of iodine deficiency include depression, weight gain/loss(in cases of hyper), weak heartbeat/ rapid heartbeat(hyper), extreme dry hair and skin, swelling of the legs, decreased ability to concentrate, muscle cramps, puffiness or swelling of the eyes, insensitivity to light (adrenal), insatiable appetite for sweets or salts(adrenal), and chronic aches and pains. Fatigue is a common symptom, characterized by the urge to fall asleep when not active. Hypersensitivity to cold, or cold hands and feet is another frequently reported symptom. When the metabolism is not up to par, there is less energy and heat produced." (adaptation from http://www.naturalnews.com/024566.html) Expert: More Iodine Is Better"Iodine Nutrition -- More Is Better," is the title of an editorial accompanying the Teng study. Editorialist Robert D. Utiger, MD, is a thyroid expert at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Utiger says that Teng and colleagues' conclusions are overcautious. "Low iodine intake is more worrisome than the slight risk at the higher levels of intake," Utiger tells WebMD. "To eliminate iodine deficiency even in a small percentage of the population, the intake for the whole population has to be high. I am willing to pay the price of a few cases of mild symptoms at the high end to get a reduction in the very severe consequences at the low end." Too much iodine does not worry nutritionist Leslie Bonci, MPH, RD, director of sports nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Iodine is not just good for whole body health because it belongs in every cell, it helps your body excrete the toxic heavy metals that accumulate in your body. Check out this awesome study done using 8 random patients to test iodine suffiency and excretion of heavy metals. (scroll down to the graph) In the 1930's they did a study on animals to test iodine deficiency in regards to goiter, they learned that insufficiency of iodine causes the thyroid to atrophy! Check out the full list of symptoms to see just how much the deficiency of this mineral wreaks havoc on your body. I've started this website so that I can track my family's journey to health with the assistance of iodine. I have found much information in regards to the importance of an iodine rich diet and want to share what is making my family healthier every day. On this site you will find a compilation of information from many different sources on the web, some tidbits from me and even studies supporting the information. So I am beginning The Iodine Experiment today. Though I have used iodine over the past 6 weeks at a very low dose, my mother and I have both noticed some wonderful changes that include weight loss, dramatic increase in energy and stamina, decreased sensitivity to light (no more sunglasses!), increased mental function, no longer craving sweets and salts( I couldn't get enough!) and sleeping better just to name a few, and that's with only 2mg per day! You can read our story here. I have introduced a couple friends to Iodoral and they will be starting the "experiment" as well, you can find their stories here. also Iodine Supplements: The Three Best Kinds to Use http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/iodine-supplements/ Iodine is essential for a vibrant and radiant body. It’s a key player in our DNA, it boosts our immune system, stabilizes our metabolism, and even assists with cardiovascular health. [1] Furthermore, it’s estimated that more than half of the US population suffer from insufficient levels of iodine. Iodine is a major contributor to the function of your thyroid gland, especially in the creation of T3 and T4 hormones, which are important for regulating your body’s metabolism. So what are some Iodine supplements available on the market, and how do they each stack up? CC 1) Transformative Nano-Colloidal Detoxified Iodine, or Nascent Iodine: This is a consumable form of iodine that holds an electromagnetic charge. It allows for a larger release of energy once consumed, and is very similar to bio-available forms of iodine that are produced naturally in the thyroid gland. Because of this, your body is able to recognize and assimilate it very easily. Its unique structure and form allows it to travel through the body, quicker and easier than any other Iodine supplement available. Also, unlike all other liquid iodine supplements, it contains no alcohol in its solution. To me, this is by far the best iodine supplement to use and the one I recommend is the product Detoxadine. 2) Lugol’s Solution Iodine: Contains 6.3 mg of molecular iodine/iodide per drop. This solution is one-third molecular iodine (5%) and two-thirds potassium iodide (10%). Studies show that the best form of iodine is one that includes molecular iodine (I2). It has been shown that breast tissue prefers this non-toxic mono elemental-based iodine. Lugol’s Solution has been shown to increase respiratory tract secretions and inhibit thyroid hormone secretion. One Malaysian study found that patients taking Lugol’s solution experienced a sharp decline in unwanted hormonal secretions during a period of ten days. 3) Potassium Iodide: Comes in tablets, with servings ranging from 0.23 to 130 mg. This closely-bound inorganic form of iodine has been shown to only offer 20% assimilation to bodily tissues. Studies show that potassium iodide blocks the uptake of radio-iodine in the thyroid gland, thus lowering the chances of developing thyroid cancer [2]. Moreover, potassium iodide has been used in emergency treatments for hyperthyroidism (PDF) [3]. - Dr. Edward F. Group III, DC, ND, DACBN, DCBCN, DABFM also http://chemistry.about.com/library/weekly/blgroups.htm it is he column in purple some interesting things i have read is when you body is low on iodine your body will absorb chlorine and floride which are poisons. because in the periodic table they are in the same row as iodine which means your body does not know how to tell the difference between them this is the way i took it. If i am wrong please set me straight Periodic Table of Groups of Elements One reason the periodic table of the elements is so useful is because it is a means of arranging elements according to their similar properties. There are multiple ways of grouping the elements, but they are commonly divided into metals, semimetals, and nonmetals. You'll find more specific groups, like transition metals, rare earths, alkali metals, alkaline earths, halogens, and noble gases. Click on an element to read about the chemical and physical properties of the group to which that element belongs. 8. Today, 13 November 2013, WikiLeaks released the secret negotiated draft text for the entire TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) Intellectual Property Rights Chapter. The TPP is the largest-ever economic treaty, encompassing nations representing more than 40 per cent of the world’s GDP. The WikiLeaks release of the text comes ahead of the decisive TPP Chief Negotiators summit in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 19-24 November 2013. The chapter published by WikiLeaks is perhaps the most controversial chapter of the TPP due to its wide-ranging effects on medicines, publishers, internet services, civil liberties and biological patents. Significantly, the released text includes the negotiation positions and disagreements between all 12 prospective member states. The TPP is the forerunner to the equally secret US-EU pact TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership), for which President Obama initiated US-EU negotiations in January 2013. Together, the TPP and TTIP will cover more than 60 per cent of global GDP. Both pacts exclude China. Since the beginning of the TPP negotiations, the process of drafting and negotiating the treaty’s chapters has been shrouded in an unprecedented level of secrecy. Access to drafts of the TPP chapters is shielded from the general public. Members of the US Congress are only able to view selected portions of treaty-related documents in highly restrictive conditions and under strict supervision. It has been previously revealed that only three individuals in each TPP nation have access to the full text of the agreement, while 600 ’trade advisers’ – lobbyists guarding the interests of large US corporations such as Chevron, Halliburton, Monsanto and Walmart – are granted privileged access to crucial sections of the treaty text. The TPP negotiations are currently at a critical stage. The Obama administration is preparing to fast-track the TPP **treaty in a manner that will prevent the US Congress from discussing or amending any parts of the treaty. Numerous TPP heads of state and senior government figures, including President Obama, have declared their intention to sign and ratify the TPP before the end of 2013. WikiLeaks’ Editor-in-Chief Julian Assange stated: “The US administration is aggressively pushing the TPP through the US legislative process on the sly.” The advanced draft of the Intellectual Property Rights Chapter, published by WikiLeaks on 13 November 2013, provides the public with the fullest opportunity so far to familiarise themselves with the details and implications of the TPP. The 95-page, 30,000-word IP Chapter lays out provisions for instituting a far-reaching, transnational legal and enforcement regime, modifying or replacing existing laws in TPP member states. The Chapter’s subsections include agreements relating to patents (who may produce goods or drugs), copyright (who may transmit information), trademarks (who may describe information or goods as authentic) and industrial design. The longest section of the Chapter – ’Enforcement’ – is devoted to detailing new policing measures, with far-reaching implications for individual rights, civil liberties, publishers, internet service providers and internet privacy, as well as for the creative, intellectual, biological and environmental commons. Particular measures proposed include supranational litigation tribunals to which sovereign national courts are expected to defer, but which have no human rights safeguards. The TPP IP Chapter states that these courts can conduct hearings with secret evidence. The IP Chapter also replicates many of the surveillance and enforcement provisions from the shelved SOPA and ACTA treaties. The consolidated text obtained by WikiLeaks after the 26-30 August 2013 TPP meeting in Brunei – unlike any other TPP-related documents previously released to the public – contains annotations detailing each country’s positions on the issues under negotiation. Julian Assange emphasises that a “cringingly obsequious” Australia is the nation most likely to support the hardline position of US negotiators against other countries, while states including Vietnam, Chile and Malaysia are more likely to be in opposition. Numerous key Pacific Rim and nearby nations – including Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines and, most significantly, Russia and China – have not been involved in the drafting of the treaty. In the words of WikiLeaks’ Editor-in-Chief Julian Assange, “If instituted, the TPP’s IP regime would trample over individual rights and free expression, as well as ride roughshod over the intellectual and creative commons. If you read, write, publish, think, listen, dance, sing or invent; if you farm or consume food; if you’re ill now or might one day be ill, the TPP has you in its crosshairs.” Current TPP negotiation member states are the United States, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Chile, Singapore, Peru, Vietnam, New Zealand and Brunei. **News that will be reported today,....: 170 lawmakers are opposing the Fast Track of TPP to passage..... Keep the pressure on your elected folks to subject this law to congressional hearings and open disclosure..... PS Big Pharm is a huge benefactor of this... I'm going to go check right now and see if I can copy paste the actual documents... (if not too long).... .. its 96 pages, so I won't bring in here

  15. Russian lawmaker seeks to ban US dollar, predicts 2017 collapse Published time: November 13, 2013 19:53 Edited time: November 14, 2013 07:31 Get short URL RIA Novosti / Mikhail Mordasov Share on tumblr Tags Crisis, Currencies, Law, Politics, Russian economy, USA To protect Russians against the “collapsing US debt pyramid”, a Russian legislator has filed a draft bill to ban circulation of the currency in Russia. Once a Moscow mayoral hopeful, Mikhail Degtyarev, 32, likens the US dollar to a worldwide ponzi scheme which he says is scheduled to end in 2017. “If US national debt continues to grow at its current rate, the dollar system will collapse in 2017,” the submitted draft legislation says. “In light of this, the fact that confidence in the US dollar is growing among Russian citizens is extremely dangerous,” Degtyarev wrote in his explanatory note attached to the bill. The bill would impose a ban on dollars within a year of its passage, and any private citizen holding accounts in dollars would either need to spend the money or convert it to another currency. There is no proposed ban on the euro, British pound, yen, or yuan. If one doesn’t exchange or transfer dollars within a year, the dollars will be seized by officials, and reimbursed in rubles within 30 calendar days. Under the proposed legislation, Russians would still be able to use dollars abroad and have foreign bank accounts, as well as buy goods on the Internet in dollars. The Russian government, Central Bank, Foreign Ministry, Federal Treasury, Federal Security Service, and other state branches would be exempt from the law. To protect Russian nationals, Degtyarev proposes to end dollar transactions and deposits at Russian banks, which would give rise to the ruble, and end dependence on the world’s dominant currency. Part of the bill aims to restore the prestige of the ruble, which has weakened as the Russian economy battles inflation and slow growth. Raising the prestige of the ruble by nixing foreign currency isn’t a novel idea- it was practiced during the Soviet Union when holding foreign currencies was illegal. A similar ‘anti-dollar’ proposal was filed by Duma deputies in 2003, but completely flopped. Moscow, a developing financial center, is home to several international corporations, and many companies pay their employees in dollars, or ruble salaries pegged to the dollar. If the bill garners enough support, it will continue onto as many as three preliminary hearings before being passed into law. Degtyarev has made a name for himself with his outlandish proposals- from giving women extra holidays during menstruation, to his declaration Russia would lead the fight in defeating the antichrist. He serves as the head of the science and technology committee in the lower house of the Duma. The populist Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) is a political platform for Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who is famous for political antics and outlandish bills. On the same day, November 13, Belarus issued a statement denying rumors they were mulling a similar currency ban, after an opposition group reported a currency circulation ban that would get rid of dollars and euros in two months. Citing Alexander Timoshenko, a representative of the Belarus’s National Bank, Interfax reported the rumors were “absolute nonsense” for a country with an open economy. Dollars in demand Public demand for foreign banknotes in Russia, especially dollars, has greatly increased as the ruble continues its slow devaluation. The Russia’s Central Bank (CBR) said they believe the ruble has stabilized, but that hasn’t curbed investors, both private and public, to not put all their rubles in one basket. The aggregate demand for foreign currency in September 2013 increased $9.1 billion, up 7 percent from August, according data from the the Bank's September 2013 Review of State and Domestic Foreign Currency Market report, available on its website. The Bank has allowed the ruble to flow more freely to accommodate foreign investment and financial markets, but this has created a tough inflation balancing act for the CBR. Demand for dollars in September 2013 rose $5.9 billion, up 11 percent from August. Over the last year, aggregate demand for dollars has dropped 1 percent, but has jumped 12 percent by individuals' purchase and conversion of greenbacks. The ruble’s daily trade range is 32.45–39.45, which the regulator increased on Tuesday. The bank buys between $200 and $400 million in rubles per day to counter losses. At 20:15 Moscow time, the ruble was trading 32.7643 per one US dollar. Consumer prices rose 6.3 percent from October, year-on-year, which is within the bank’s target inflation range of 5-6 percent. Inflation fears have prevented the bank from cutting the official interest rate for the last 14 month. Over $13.3 billion in foreign currency flowed into (bought, acquired) authorized Russian banks in September, and nearly $13.1 billion flowed out. In foreign currencies, total demand for the dollar in September was 65 percent, and 34 percent for euros. http://rt.com/business/russian-lawmaker-dollar-ban-663/ Russian Lawmaker Wants To Ban U.S. Dollar From Russian BanksBy Joseph Adinolfi on November 13 2013 7:31 AM 88 Russian President Vladimir Putin Reuters A Russian lawmaker has proposed legislation to ban dollar deposits and transactions from Russian banks, claiming the currency is on the brink of collapse. Mikhail Degtyaryov, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party, said that if U.S. national debt continues to grow at current levels, the dollar will collapse by 2017, according to a story in the Moscow Times. Countries that depend on the currency would suffer “an economic disaster.” The ban would take effect in a year after the bill’s passage. It stipulates that any holder of a dollar-denominated account would need to spend the money, convert it to rubles or another currency, or the bank will convert the account to rubles at the average exchange rate for the previous year. Russians would still be allowed to hold dollar-denominated accounts in foreign banks, buy and sell dollars while abroad and engage in e-commerce using dollars. According to the Times, it is unclear when the bill might have its first legislative hearing, and whether it has enough support in the pro-Kremlin legislature to be passed into law. "In light of this, the fact that confidence in the dollar is growing among Russian citizens is extremely dangerous," Degtyaryov said in an explanatory note attached to the bill. http://www.ibtimes.com/russian-lawmaker-wants-ban-us-dollar-russian-banks-1467910

  17. I'd like to bring this over...a quote from someone, whom in my opinion, is very learned about this investment; "we should be excited about this...because the CBI is clearly doing this to comply with the IMF. If they were not, they simply would continue as they do and not care they are at 3-5% rather than the required 2%. So the fact the the CBI is trying to meet this requirement tells us two things..1. they are doing what the IMF says. and 2. They want to get into Article VIII. Now they just have to see if anyone in Iraq will buy these bonds."

I remember one night in particular when she was making breakfast after a long hard day at work and she seemed kinda weird. She placed the eggs on a plate, sausage and extremely burned biscuits on the table in front of my dad. I also remember waiting to see if anything was said about the biscuits. My dad susprised me and just reached for his biscuit like he always did, with a big ole smile and ask how her day was. Then he asked me how my day was at school. I remember sitting there with a puzzled look on my face watching all this because mom never burned any biscuits before and my dad wasn't offering a word against it. My mom put her head in her hands and apologized for burning the biscuits and i will never dforget fwhat my dad said, "Honey i like burned biscuits". I just sit there. Later that night, when dad came in to kiss me good night, i asked him if he really likes burned biscuits. He wrapped me in his arms and said, " your mom put in a hard day at work today and she is real tired and besides a little burnd biscuit never hurt anyone. I learned a great lesson that night of how some things just aren't meant to be fussed over. It would have hurt her feelings and made her cry. Now i see what my dad was doing. I have never been one to think that lies are in anyway acceptable to this investment. For years I have been studying and learning this investment. Actually today is my anniversary at DV. I joined DV November the 13th 2009. I have seen a lot of very smart people come and go from this site for their own reasons. 27. Howdy All !!! When you go out shopping for the Holidays here is something you might find interesting: My sony cybershot just turned off on me and I took it apart to see what's up. I poked around the board looking where the power went, It came in from the battery to the board it went right to the center of the board to this tiny processor. This processor did'nt have but one set of contact legs on it. Thats strange to me but as I went on testing and hooked it up on the oscilliscope and saw no transfer signal coming out of it I said to myself this is what is broken so I found a suitable processor for the job and soldered it in.Well it didnt work I was confused so then I noticed a odd circut going to a usb port and smartcard for storing your pictures. This is strange to have a power circut leading away from the usb port to this processor. As I noticed then it was a time lapse circut so I pulsed it and everything worked. Then I tested that processor again and saw its dwell or time setting. It was set for one year and a minute. Then it hit me I didnt buy the extended warranty so SONY knows this and sends a signal to the camera to activate that time lapse and this happens when you register the product online or in the store via computor. Or if you plug in the smartcard to see your pictures on the PC it can send and recieve a signal and transfers it to the memory of the device. So then I took apart my Sony DVD player and checked for that same circut and there it was I didnt buy the warranty for it either and the timer is set to turn off the unit in 2 more month's. If you are buying any name brand item or they ask you to buy the extended warranty you will know it has this time lapse circut in it. I have taken apart many differant brands and saw this same circut. Thats cold blood I tell you what. Even my top of the line gateway laptop has it built in but I bought the extended warranty for it and the time laspe circut is set for infinite use. The off-brand products dont have this circut at all because they are cheaper.I called sony and asked them what they would charge to fix my camera the labor for any of there products was $187.00 a hour minimum 1 hour.Thats half the price of the camera.not to mention the parts if they want to scam you which they would I reactivated mine and it works! If you buy name brand products the lower line of that product there is no time lapse circut unless they ask you to buy the extened warranty. No more SONY for me ever! Some of there warranty's are for 1,3,5 years so theres the time limit for its use.Isnt that special (church lady) So shop wise these companies just want you to keep buying the same product year after year.some have a small grey button to push for reset and I think that is sorry! bunch of crooks. Your buddy PG God Bless Everyone!

  28. Hey Mike! Mike! Mike! Guess what day it is? HAPPY WEDNESDAY! This week in the news - talk of issuing bonds, which I think is great. Talk of calls for making decisions in THIS SESSION, which I also think is great. News about Maliki and his third term… which I am undecided on, both because of the news report and also because I'd like to consider the alternative(s). Regardless, no RV was announced by the CBI this week and we continue to hang on (patiently). With that said, here's the weekly questions! Hi user ghost - great question, and it's one that's been bugging me for a bit. This situation reminds me a LOT of when Iraq got Chapter 7 lifted - there was a lot of talk, a lot of talk, a lot of talk… … and then silence. And then BOOM, in a couple days time we suddenly had the news that it was completed. That's what this feels like. Your common sense is working just fine, and I agree with you! What is preventing this: Iraq themselves. They will not raise the value until they are fully prepared, which is nearing quickly. Will it ever happen: I definitely believe it will. I don't give opinions on other people's opinions. That's what Twitter is for and I simply don't have time I'm sure he did, but nothing has been released about it… nor would I expect it to. Anything that may have been discussed would be just as confidential as any actual RV plans… us "little people" simply will not get that information on the morning news or anywhere else. (Unless you're Tony… then you're lucky enough to actually have the UST and IMF call you personally. ) Brother adlon, I can't do that. We all know this thing could completely flop or it could do the opposite. I strongly believe iraq is going in the right direction, we are consistently seeing positive news outweigh the negatives, and I believe Iraq has very good reason and potential to increase the value in their currency significantly. Those of us that have been in this for years have already made a profit, and I don't have any reason to think we will actually lose money for any reason. I don't believe it is even remotely possible - it's not just us little people that have Iraqi Dinar. They came out and said it was a prank. In my opinion, it wasn't funny… but all of you should know by now that if it actually DID happen, I would have sent you an email and the VIP members would have received a text along with a lot more information. Absolutely not! In fact, I see the opposite happening! This is a great move on their part, and it shows they are moving forward. That's it for now… watch out for those jokers out there! If you're only interested in the REAL dinar news, all you have to do is sign up for my newsletter: http://dinarnews.net/news Talk to you soon!

ICE said that the deal "creates the premier operator of global exchanges". It said that the new entity was "diversified across a range of asset classes spanning interest rates, equities and equity derivatives, credit derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange, energy, metals and agricultural commodities". The chief executive of ICE, Jeffrey C. Sprecher, said: "This is a game changing transaction ... 34. Thanks Beautiful! I had lunch today with a friend who works in human resources for BIG 5 Sporting goods here in California. Their margins have been pretty low and they are just surviving. They have just decided to cut all sales employees from 35 hours to 25 hours due to the affordable health care act. They are going from 25,000 employees to 28,000 employees to cover the gap so this will help artificially the unemployment numbers. If you see the unemployment numbers lower its because we are becoming a part time workforce nation.!!!
    2 points
  35. Flat your right he didnt say it exactly that way BUT he did not say "Hey yall wanna do lunch" . The Facts The firestorm started when Nazila Fathi, then the Tehran correspondent of The New York Times, reported a story almost six years ago that was headlined: “Wipe Israel ‘off the map’ Iranian says.” The article attributed newly elected Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s remarks to a report by the ISNA press agency. The article sparked outrage around the globe, with then-President George W. Bush and other world leaders condemning Ahmadinejad’s statement. The original New York Times article noted that Ahmadinejad said he was quoting Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic revolution, but that aspect was largely overlooked. Then, specialists such as Juan Cole of the University of Michigan and Arash Norouzi of the Mossadegh Project pointed out that the original statement in Persian did not say that Israel should be wiped from the map, but instead that it would collapse. Cole said this week that in the 1980s Khomeini gave a speech in which he said in Persian “Een rezhim-i eshghalgar-i Quds bayad az sahneh-i ruzgar mahv shaved.” This means, “This occupation regime over Jerusalem must vanish from the arena of time.” But then anonymous wire service translators rendered Khomeini as saying that Israel “must be wiped off the face of the map,” which Cole and Nourouzi say is inaccurate. Ahmadinejad slightly misquoted Khomeini, substituting “safheh-i ruzgar,” or “page of time" for "sahneh-i ruzgar" or “arena of time.” But in any case, the old translation was dug up and used again by the Iranian news agency, Cole says. In fact, that’s how it was presented for years on Ahmadinejad’s English-language Web site, as the Times noted in a somewhat defensive article on the translation debate. But the story doesn’t end there. Karim Sadjadpour, an Iranian specialist at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, notes that Iranian government entities began to erect billboards and signs with the “wipe off” phrase in English. Joshua Teitelbaum of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs compiled an interesting collection of photographs of these banners, such as one on the building that houses reserve military forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. “Israel should be wiped out of the face of the world,” the sign reads in English. Teitelbaum’s report, while written from a pro-Israel perspective, includes a number of threatening statements about Israel that are similar in tone to Ahmadinejad’s controversial statement. In 2000, Khamenei stated, “Iran’s position, which was first expressed by the Imam [Khomeini] and stated several times by those responsible, is that the cancerous tumor called Israel must be uprooted from the region.” He went on to say in the same speech that “Palestinian refugees should return and Muslims, Christians and Jews could choose a government for themselves, excluding immigrant Jews.” Sadjadpour, who has closely studied the statements of Khamenei, said that the supreme leader has spoken more on the question of Israel than any other issue, which is remarkable given that Iran shares no border with Israel and that the Jewish state has virtually no impact on the daily lives of Iranians. Sadjadpour said Khamenei has been consistent, stating repeatedly that the goal is not the military destruction of the Jewish state but “the defeat of Zionist ideology and the dissolution of Israel through a ‘popular referendum.’” Of course, an Israeli might conclude that such an outcome would be the destruction of the Jewish state in any case. The Pinocchio Test Some might question why Ahmadinejad’s precise words are important. Clearly, the Iranian government has unrelenting opposition to the state of Israel, so much so that it even rejects Palestinian efforts at statehood if that would result in Israel remaining in the Middle East. Indeed, Tehran has armed and funded Hamas, Hezbollah and other militant groups opposed to Israel. At the same time, the words allegedly uttered by Ahmadinejad have been used to suggest a change toward a more militaristic posture by Iran toward Israel. In fact, Ahmadinejad is not the power broker in Iran; it is Khamenei. Khamenei, in fact, has been consistent in speaking of his hatred of Israel, but without a military context, as he demonstrated once again this week. Moreover, the fact that Ahmadinejad was merely quoting Khomeini suggests that even less weight should have been given to his words, especially since there is a dispute over the precise meaning in English. “Wipe off the map,” in other words, has become easy shorthand for expressing revulsion at Iran’s anti-Israeli foreign policy. Certainly attention needs to be focused on that — and Iranian behavior in the region. But we’re going to award a Pinocchio to everyone — including ourselves — who has blithely repeated the phrase without putting it into context. Iran is like a bad pitbull. It wasn't the dogs fault . It was trained by a heartless master to kill. Its all it ever knew. In most cases you cant rehabilitate them. They must be put down.

  41. Perhaps the problem with the internet is that the truth is finally coming out into the open for many people rather than just for the few, and what was once a conspiracy, ie the world is round not flat, is finally proven to be true. Those who believe the truth are seen as believing in a silly conspiracy, and those who still believe the lie are disregarding and discounting those silly conspirators who believe the silly lies about how the world is actually round and not flat. Don't they know better? It's just a silly conspiracy theory... Perhaps some of these conspiracy theories do have some basis in truth and that's why they gain so much momentum through the internet. What does it take to turn a so called "conspiracy theory" into fact? How much proof does there have to be before others stop calling it a silly conspiracy theory?
