I think some heads should roll ( not from ISIS) for this horrible  poisoning at the camp, this was on Fox news a few hours ago. They need to go back to cooking school pray it never happens again, Can you imagine how long it takes to cook for 800 people? I cooked at a school and that wasn't easy to do at times for 250. Sure hope they finally liberate Mosul this week and it it won't be fake news. Oh ya, I flunked adulthood and got sent back to newbie school, long true story.

If these people are found guilty and was it not an accident, I would sentence them to eat rotten. rotten food and  receive NO medical treatment and if they die oh well, I would make they sure did !! If the charity organization knew the food was they should get the same. I pray there is no more deaths or suffering, people can only take so much.

I am pleased to say I was reinstated as Moxie64 again, thanks to Julie, what an adventure that was.

June 15 2017 03:07 PM

Federal police is continuing heavy shelling on the Old City of Mosul, a video attained by the Baghdad Post shows.

The shelling comes to lay groundwork for storming the densely-populated area, considered ISIS last pocket in Mosul.

The progress of the Iraqi forces in this area is slow since it is densely populated with narrow alleyways.

The Iraqi forces, in partnership with the US-led coalition launched a push on February 19th to retake the right bank of Mosul from the clutches of ISIS.

Iraqi federal police and rapid response forces stormed on Thursday the remaining ISIS-held districts in al-Shifaa neighborhood, located in Mosul's right bank in Nineveh Governorate.

Security forces, backed by International Coalition air raids and logistic support of the US army, have retaken eastern Mosul and most of its western part after eight months of battles. These forces are focusing now on controlling the Old City's districts.

It is estimated that there are a few of ISIS terrorists left in the second largest city of Iraq. It is expected that they will desperately defend the last pocket of the city that has been once their main stronghold in Iraq.

IS Uses Unseen Tactics Against Civilians in Western Mosul: US Official

IS Uses Unseen Tactics Against Civilians in Western Mosul: US Official

SOFIA — The Islamic State (IS) has used tactics that have never been seen before against the civilians trapped in the western part of Mosul, a US has official stated.

Operation Inherent Resolve Ground Forces Commander Major General Joseph Martin  explained during a briefing on Wednesday that the IS militants have used Iraqi civilians for slave labour, including sex slavery and other dehumanizing ways.

Since the start of the operation for liberating the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a large number of reports were released, based on statements made by local witnesses, saying that the IS militants have used the Iraqi civilians as human shields or have forced them into suicide bombing.

However, the fight against the IS militants continues, as the Iraqi forces are on their way to liberating the entire city of Mosul, after launching the operation against the extremist group back in October, 2016.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIL) is on the verge of being fully expelled from Mosul after more than three years of occupying this capital of the Nineveh Governorate.

According to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, the Islamic State only holds the Old Mosul District inside the city after more than three months of nonstop military operations.

With ISIL on their last legs in Mosul, the Iraqi High Command will likely shift their attention to the terrorist group’s last stronghold (Tal ‘Afar) in the Nineveh Governorate.

Once the Tal ‘Afar area is liberated, the Islamic State will have effectively been expelled from the province.

Not sure if Tal 'Afar is a key area to retake before the ISIS is declared as a no major issue. If nothing else, once Old Mosul (along with the Mosque) is taken, Tal 'Afar may not take too long to retake and may be worth the wait.
