ISIS has moved bloodstock, stolen from Mosul city, to Mutaibajah district,  located on the borders of Salahuddin Governorate, a local source in Diyala Governorate revealed on Friday.

In a statement, the source said that the bloodstock have been stolen from stables in Mosul by the terrorist group before being moved to al-Hawija district, located in southwestern Kirkuk.

In April, Iraqi security forces have uncovered secret ISIS documents in Mutaibajah after inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorist group in Diyala.

A military operation to liberate Mutaibajah, located at the borders between Diyala and Salahuddin, province in northeast of Baghdad, was launched in April.

The Baghdad Post has obtained photos taken by satellites of Abu Tammam district, located in al-Zanjili neighborhood, western Mosul, before and after the liberation operation of the city begins.

The photos reveal the magnitude of destruction in Abu Tammam district, which was one of the most important trade hubs in the city before being occupied by ISIS.

The photos, taken by Google Earth application, reveal the scale of destruction in Abu Tamam, targeted by internationally banned chemical weapons such as white phosphorus.

Security forces, backed by International Coalition air raids and logistic support of the US army, have retaken eastern Mosul and half of its western part after six months of battles. These forces are focusing now on controlling the Old City.

It is estimated that there are a few of ISIS terrorists left in the second largest city of Iraq. It is expected that they will desperately defend the last pocket of the city that has been once their main stronghold on Iraq.

Tight measures force terrorists to remain in Mosul's right bank

Tight security measures at checkpoints erected in the road from Mosul's right bank to its left bank, including the ones in al-Aqrab and Hamam al-Alil districts, have made moving to the city's right bank impossible for ISIS terrorists, eyewitnesses told The Baghdad Post on Friday.

They said that for this reason, ISIS terrorists and those wanted by the Iraqi judicial system will not be able to head to Mosul's left bank.

The group's terrorists have decided either to remain in the city's right bank or move to districts where they will not be identified after mingling with innocent civilians.

Consequently, residents of Mosul's right bank have called on security forces to conduct sudden security operations in the right bank's liberated districts, taking their testimonies regarding ISIS terrorists, their whereabouts and their supporters.

ISIS terrorists are malignant cancer that has to eradicated, Ahmed, a resident of Wadi Hajar neighborhood, located in Mosul's right bank, told The Baghdad Post.

He said Iraqis will only accept execution as a retribution for the crimes committed by those terrorists, only accustomed to bloodshed and killing.

IS Again Uses Chemical Weapons on Civilians in Mosul

LEEDS — The so-called Islamic State (IS) used chemical weapons in the Iraqi city of Mosul for a ninth time on Thursday, a local source said.

Chlorine-filled bombs were fired at civilians who tried leaving the areas controlled by the extremist group.

According to a local source, who spoke to Sputnik on Thursday, the attack killed 13 civilians in the area of al-Zanjali,  in the western part Mosul. The victims were mostly women and children, the source added.

He further explained that the Iraqi forces are currently fighting the IS militants in the area, whereas all civilians are trapped, without an option to escape, as the extremists are using them as human shields.

The United Nations (UN) said in a statement on Thursday that more than 231 Iraqi civilians have been killed by IS, after trying to escape western Mosul since May 26, with at least 204 killed just in three days last week.

The Iraqi forces backed by the US-led coalition have been fighting the IS militants in Mosul, as part of an operation to liberate the city, which started in October, of last year.

Iraq on cusp of Mosul victory three years after major defeat

MOSUL, IRAQ: Three years after the Daesh group routed them in Mosul, Iraqi forces are now on the cusp of retaking the city from the jihadists and avenging a historic debacle.
The fall of Mosul was the worst defeat that Iraqi forces suffered in the war with Daesh, and regaining it would cap a major turnaround for security forces that broke and ran despite outnumbering the jihadists who attacked the second city in 2014.
“Of course, we celebrate the successes of the military” three years after the city’s fall, said Staff Lt. Gen. Abdulghani Assadi, a senior commander in Iraq’s elite Counter-Terrorism Service, which has spearheaded the battle.
When Daesh seized Mosul on June 10, 2014 and drove south toward the federal capital, the atmosphere was not one of celebration, but rather fear.
“Three years ago, around this time, Daesh... was moving rapidly toward Baghdad,” said Brett McGurk, the US envoy to the international coalition against Daesh, using an Arabic acronym for the jihadist group.
“Mosul fell, seven divisions of the Iraqi security forces simply disintegrated,” he said.
Iraqi forces “were not prepared for a threat like that” posed by IS in 2014, said coalition spokesman Col. Ryan Dillon.
Daesh “was knocking on the doors of Baghdad.”
At that time, recovery “looked almost impossible, and many were saying, ‘Well, this is the end of Iraq’,” McGurk said.
A combination of factors ultimately stopped the jihadists short of Baghdad, and they were not able to launch a large-scale conventional attack on the capital.
Grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani, the country’s top Shiite cleric, called for volunteers to battle Daesh, and pre-existing Iran-backed Shiite militias fought under that banner to first halt the jihadists and then slowly push them back, while new volunteer units were also established.
The United States meanwhile launched an air campaign against Daesh in Iraq about two months after Mosul’s fall, which became an international coalition effort also involving training and other support for Iraqi forces.
The Iraqi security forces have since recaptured much of the territory seized by Daesh, including three cities, and have retaken most of Mosul, the fourth and largest.
In Mosul, “nothing remains for Daesh except three or four neighborhoods in which it is surrounded,” Assadi said.
When Daesh seized Mosul, “the units that were present were in fact lacking some preparations and some equipment... and therefore the fall (of the city) happened quickly,” he said.
“Now the units are well prepared and their relationship with the citizen — and this is a very important point — is a good relationship and the citizen cooperates with the units,” Assadi said.
“Success in the Mosul operation will highlight how far the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) have come since their collapse in June 2014,” said Patrick Martin, Iraq analyst at the Institute for the Study of War.
But Martin noted that “recapturing terrain in Mosul should not obscure the fact that the ISF remains incomplete and flawed,” including that “they still have insufficient manpower to clear and hold the country.”
Pushing the jihadists back has taken a massive toll on Iraq: years of battles have left thousands dead and hundreds of thousands displaced, and laid waste to swathes of the country, while many suffered under brutal jihadist rule.
“Nineveh province in general and Mosul specifically passed through a major tragedy,” said Staff Lt. Gen. Abdulwahab Al-Saadi, another senior Counter-Terrorism Service commander.
Civilians suffered through massacres and rapes, while a “very big price (was) paid by all the units” that fought, Saadi said.
The recapture of Mosul will also not mark the end of the war against Daesh in Iraq, as the jihadists will still control territory in Kirkuk province further south as well as in the west.
And then there is the “future threat,” Dillon said, that Daesh “will devolve back into an insurgency again.”

Where are ISIS terrorists lurking around in Mosul right bank?

Iraqi citizens in Mosul's right bank have called upon security forces to carry out crackdowns in search of ISIS terrorists, The Baghdad Post reported Friday.

The civilians confirmed that ISIS terrorists are lurking around in some cities of the right bank of the city.

Abu Ahmed, a resident of Wadi Hajar neighborhood in Mosul's right bank, told The Baghdad Post that ISIS terrorists are "malignant cancer must be eradicated".

Abu Ahmed added that Iraqis would not accept anything but executing ISIS terrorists "who know only the language of blood and murder".

The Iraqi forces, backed by air covering from the US-led international coalition, have recovered Mosul's right bank and the majority of the left bank.

A fierce fighting is currently going on in the Old City of Mosul.

It is estimated that there are few ISIS terrorists left in Iraq's second largest city and are expected to defend their last pocket in the city, once their main stronghold in Iraq.

Hammam al-Alil Revolution, new Iraq vigilante taking law into own hands

ISIS suspects blindfolded, shot to death

A new vigilante group, known as Hammam al-Alil Revolution, has come to light in Iraq, Daily Mail reported.

The group is behind the killing of 11 suspected ISIS members who were recently found blindfolded, bound and shot to death on the side of a road 20 miles south of Mosul.

Image1_620179232754200633022.png

As revealed by the group's Facebook account,  it tells supporters to burn the families and homes of ISIS members.

The group announced the number of its members amounts to 650.

'Soon we will start our operation, we are now locating ISIS families,' read the first post on the page from May 28. 'We will make them regret joining. Good luck everyone,' it signs off.

The Facebook page launched six months after the town of Hammam al-Alil was liberated from ISIS.

The second post on the page featured a photo of a grenade with the pin pulled out and told the story of an apparent attack carried out by one of its members.

Image1_620179233039167065523.png
'Today we targeted Mohammad Atrash, we threw two grenades and attacked the family with gunfire, as they did to us,' the post said.

The Facebook page posts the addresses of dead and imprisoned ISIS fighters, encouraging its members to go after them and their families.

The group told its followers last month to 'burn them and their families'.

Image1_620179233211744004613.png

One member of the group told The Telegraph that it was carrying out attacks as revenge after his cousin was killed by ISIS militants.

The man, only identified as Omar, said: 'It's a reciprocity. They hurt my family, now we will hurt theirs.'

Ali Hamed Ahmed, 65, said that his family was targeted after three of his sons joined ISIS.

Image1_620179233710814727486.png
'Our family is being punished for the sins of our sons,' he told The Telegraph. 'We have great shame for what they did, but they are not here now and this is our house. This is not right.'

Another family was targeted for two consecutive nights, when vigilantes threw a grenade at the home on Friday and opened fire with kalashnikovs on Saturday.

Image1_620179233738432570689.png

A member of the National Security Services told The Telegraph that he knew who was behind the attacks but would not intervene.

One District Left.

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi government forces recaptured on Saturday Zanjili district in western Mosul, leaving only one district in Islamic State’ grip before reaching its strategic stronghold in the Old City neighborhood.

Federal Police chief Shaker Jawdat said in a statement that his forces went on clearing booby-traps from the district, adding they ran into a huge reservoir of projectiles and rocket launchers belonging to the group. Troos also continue to evacuate civilians escaping from al-Shifa neighborhood, the last remaining area near the Old City.

Iraqi government troops regained control over eastern Mosul in January after three months of fighting. Operations for the western side of the city launched in mid February, and Iraqi generals say a few hundreds of IS fighters remain in the Old City as a last refuge.
