Muslims Just Made History In Mosul, Killing And Exiling Every Last Christian

image1.jpg

Muslims are making history, but not in a way of which the world can be proud.

Christians have lived in Mosul, Iraq for at least over 2,000, according to historical documents. That has all changed with the threats that any Christian who stayed would be slaughtered.

ISIS have officially forced the last living Christian in Mosul to leave the city, ending 2 millennia of Christian existence, which began with St. Peter’s scriptural reference to the church in Babylon.

Assyrian International News Agency reports:

The last Christian reportedly left Iraq’s second largest city of Mosul at 12:00pm on Saturday, ending over 6,000 years of Assyrian history in the city. Assyrians have lived in Mosul for over 6,000 years, converting to Christianity over 2,000 years ago.
This all came to an end on Saturday, when the last Assyrian Christian left the city
. On Thursday, July 17th, the Islamic State (IS)– formerly the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS)– released a statement demanding the Christians in Mosul either to convert to Islam, paying the jizya (tax on non-Muslims), leave the city, or be killed. The threat was to be implemented on Saturday. It is being reported locally that by noon yesterday, every Christian had chosen to leave.

Here in Erbil, about an hour an half [sic] away from Mosul by car, I have spoken with families who were forced to flee. They describe how ISIS invaded their homes, taking whatever they wanted, and threatening to kill them. The estimates are that over 500,000 refugees have fled Mosul after Islamists took control on June 10th, and the few remaining Christians left yesterday.

ISIS made citizens first believe they were there to protect them, but soon began forcefully implementing oppressive Sharia law, with which even Muslim citizens were forced to comply.

The notice of eviction from Mosul came with Muslims marking Christians’ homes to identify where they were living. Christians ultimately decided they could not hide from the Islamic authorities, packing up what they could and leaving within hours of ISIS warning.

Everyone I have spoken with has expressed their frustration with the international community’s lack of response to the crisis facing the people of Iraq. They blamed the United States for creating the current situation and for leaving the country so quickly and so creating the vacuum for IS to exploit. Many also think that it was a serious mistake for the U.S. to “give Iraq to Iran,” allowing Tehran to have a major influence in the Iraqi Parliament.

Another local told me he thought it was strange and nonsensical that the U.S. and European countries were opposed to IS in Iraq, but supporting IS groups in Syria and other violent groups against local governments. They warned of the danger such groups pose to the West. “
These jihadists will eventually go home to their countries, to Canada, England and the U.S.
” said one.

Christians also fear that Iraq may split into several smaller countries, creating a domino effect in the Middle East, including Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Israel, and Egypt.

Since 2003, more than 1 million Christians have been exiled from Iraq. Now, only 300,000 remain in the country.

Muslims Just Made History In Mosul, Killing And Exiling Every Last Christian

Thanks for the article sportfisher (+1) ... It's genocide and criminal behavior, and clearly crimes against humanity, but the radical islamists are driven by evil and hunger for power, where even moderate Islamists don't want to speak up for fear of reprisals. Also, we must remember the intention of radical islam - to rule the world, even by force or martyrdom if necessary.  It's a very sad state in Iraq because the current president doesn't honor American commitment or our word.   :confused2:

May God have mercy on the US and on the Iraqis.  :salute:

This is a Five (5) Star article IMO...!  :tiphat:

We need to be praying for these Christians, and the Iraqi people. Where is the outrage in the UN and the other nations of the world...?

Mosul empty of Christians 'for the first time in history'

Published 21 July 2014  |   Carey Lodge

AP
An empty house of a Christian family in Mosul with Arabic writing that reads, "Long live the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. Muslims are happy with the return of Mujahideen. God is Greater,".

Further reports of human rights abuses are surfacing as IS jihadists continue to tighten their grip on areas throughout northern Iraq and Syria.

Two Syrian women were stoned to death last week in the northern province of Raqa, charged with adultery. These were the first instances of execution via stoning, known as Al Rajem, by IS – the Islamic State, a group which formerly ran under the name ISIS.

"The Islamic State carried out its first sentence of death by stoning against a woman in Tabaqa, accusing her of adultery," a report from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) revealed on Friday. The woman was a 26-year-old widow, and was executed in a public market.

Within 24 hours, another woman was killed by stoning in the city of Al Raqqa.

"IS fighters threw her by stones to death after bringing a pickup full of stones because people refused to participate of stoning," [sic] SOHR reports.

These instances follow increasing tensions as IS fighters, led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, attempt to found a pan-Islamic state across a stretch of northern Iraq and Syria.

On Friday, the deadline passed for Christians in Mosul – which was captured on June 10 – to either flee the city, convert to Islam or pay a tax, jizya, for the right to continue to practice their faith.

Those who refused to comply risk being killed by "the sword".

Mosul, situated in the biblical province of Ninevah, is entrenched in Christian history. The Mosque of the Prohpet Yunas (Jonah) is thought to house the scriptural figure's grave, though a video was released earlier this month in which IS militants are shown attacking the tomb.

The insurgents allegedly disturbed Jonas' remains.

Despite the historical presence of Christians in Mosul, however, loudspeakers in mosques throughout the city reportedly rang out ordering Christians to leave on Friday. One young teacher, who gave only his first name, Fadi, told AFP that he and his family would not flee or pay the fine because they couldn't afford to do either.

"I'm staying. I already feel dead," he told a reporter just before the deadline ran out.

"Only my soul remains, and if they want to take that I don't have a problem."

Iraq's most prominent Christian leader, Yonadam Kanna, told AFP that even those who adhere to the demands of IS are unlikely to remain safe.

"Maybe a few [Christians] are still hiding in Mosul but I don't think any would have decided to pay jizya or convert. There is no Christian who can trust these gangsters," he said.

"They [islamic insurgents] even took wedding rings from women fleeing the city at checkpoints...I am astonished they can claim to be Muslims."

"'For the first time in the history of Iraq, Mosul is now empty of Christians," Patriarch Louis Sako told AFP.

The treatment of Christians and other minority groups, including Shia Muslims, by IS has been widely condemned.

"Congratulations to the #world ISIS declared that #musel now is a #Christian free area. Thousands of Christians were displaced and humiliated," tweeted Nadim Nassar, a London-based Anglican priest from Syria.

However, despite universal horror at the events unfolding in Iraq and Syria, Nassar has also denounced the international Christian community for "shamefully watching" while taking little action against persecution in the Middle East.

Of course our lib left media would never report this or the circumcision of young girls going on there. Why? Because the left only pretends to help women and only shows concern for non wasp groups. Sorry for the rant, I hope I didn't get anyone's panties in a wad... If I did, neg away.

The true face of Islam as interpreted by Satan's minions.

NOTE: Muhammad commented on the beauty of his adopted sons wife and his adopted son heard of his comments. His son said he would divorce her if it was Muhammad's desire. Muhammad said no but according to the will of Allah his son divorced her and Muhammad married her, so he got the desires of his flesh.  How does his destructive legacy in any way compare to the glorious fulfillment found in of Jesus Christ?

The end is coming.

The persecution of Christians around the world is nothing new.  It has continued unabated in China, North Korea, from Muslim nations in Africa, and in other parts of the world.  For those who have said that IS was not a religious movement are seeing now just how extremely “religious” it really is!

Unless this “movement” is stopped in it’s tracks, it will continue to grow.  The reason is simple.  Passion for the ideals of an extreme religion is preferred over the lack of commitment and ideals of a lukewarm religion!  Extremism sells!  And for those who are bent toward violence and power the recruitment is easy, especially if it is done in the name of Allah.

Christians need to leave the country; as well as moderate Sunnis and Shiites.  This is a tyrant regime with one overriding plan: conquer the world for their brand of Islam.  It is idolatrous, horrible, detestable, monstrous, full of evil and contemptible in the eyes of Jehovah.

A sea of evil has come over Iraq; she has been engulfed with its tumultuous waves.  Her cities have become an object of horror, a land in which no person can live in peace.  Nations will no longer stream to Iraq for good.  Her oil fields will stop producing income for the greedy, and those who fund the fools of IS will themselves become the fools.  The “caliphate” of Islamic State is worthless; a work of mockery.

The Lord, Jehovah, will allow them to destroy until a time of His choosing in the future be it next week or 20 years from now, the time is in His hands.  Then He will come upon IS like a raging fire in a field of wheat.  Judgment will fall down on them and they shall be devoured.  Christians must leave to save themselves from the fierce anger of Jehovah.  The Islamic Caliphate will fall for those whom they killed among the Christians and the slaughtered among their own people.  For Jehovah God is a God of recompense, He will fully repay!  He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings, and He shall reign among the kingdoms of men!

The whole religion seems to be dictative

Saddam wasn't even that bad

I think the Sunnis are trying to create a situation that is worse than when saddam ruled

So they can play the blame game on democracy and USA and the shittes and in the end ,,, the Kurds too

Those Sunnis are some sick people

I used to think the shittes were the worse of the two

But saddam was bad and now the rest of them is worse yet

I have been opening our church for a Christian woman from Iraq. She comes in every day and prays and weeps to God for the safety of her 4 sons who live, or lived in Mosul. The Muslims came into their homes and took everything they own, cars, gold, money everything and threatened them with death if they did not just walk away. She still does not know what has become of them as she cannot communicate with them.

I pray that it never comes to that here in America, a day where we will have to just walk away from everything, without even our dignity.

Unfortunately, what Islam will call a shining victory in Mosul will ignite more hatred and atrocities towards other Christians in the area and abroad as well, inspiring Muslims to more zealous acts of human degradation.

As Nelg said, the God of judgment is coming despite what a doubting world believes, He is coming to pay each one according to their deeds. I personally do not think we have much time remaining.

Well it's sad that the Iraqi people are as ignorant and clueless about their government that they blame every country but their own for this genocide. I'm just surprised that it's not more rampant in Iraq than it is. Islam is satanic, it was created by a pedophile an nothing good will ever come from this cult. I see some folks saying they hope it never comes to America, HELLO folks, turn on your TV...It's been happening in the US for years. Your president is promoting homosexuality an same sex marriage, porn is all over your TV for your kids to see, you can buy dope legally at the corner store. The big difference is, it's being done by Americans rather than the ISIL, same results...

Just A Friendly Suggestion... Turn OFF Your TV... Actually Break Your TV!!!

Then You Might Start Seeking And Finding More Truth Elsewhere.

Hey Maggie123, I'll take your suggestion an turn off the TV but with all due respect where do you get your information from? I live an work in Afghanistan so I'm kinda limited to resources I get but very open to finding your version of the truth eleswhere. Are you saying that what I've seen on CNN over here is false concerning Obama supporting the LGBT an promoting homosexuality? Is it a lie on CNN showing lines in front of "Medical Mariquana" stores in the US? I don't need any support about my Islam statement because I've been over here since 2004 an have a pretty good understanding of the Muslim culture but would love your assistance in finding the truth in America.

Thanks DoD for your comment and opinion.

I too never ever watch TV or listen to anything that is broadcast as news, entertainment, or commentary. I limit myself to ONLY weather reports and forecasts, and even then I avoid any and all commercial product endorsements and marketing.

My reasons are simple; there is no such thing, in my opinion, as TRUTH IN AMERICA, or at least what could be construed as factual and unbiased information of any kind. Since you apparently have access to the Internet, I would suggest that you consider paying a visit to a website I find replete with all kinds of information from nearly every corner of the known world.

It is hosted by a guy that also provides a syndicated daily talk show, which I do not bother to listen to for the reason stated above regarding all things broadcast. Yet, what I do like about his website is that it brings current and up-to-the-minute stuff about "most" of what seems to be occurring everywhere, and does so in the most simple or formats; in the form of a link (hyperlink) that describes what it is about. By clicking on the link it takes you to the story, usually on another website, and there it is available to read, watch (video), or ignore. Funny, but it sounds a lot like what we have here at DinarVets!

Anyway, while it is forbidden to mention other websites by name here at D-Vets, all I will add to the identity of that website is that the guy hosting it is Jeff Rense. While there are some who may differ with my choice of news and information, I am not promoting this or any other website, but am simply trying to assist a fellow DV member in the quest for more accurate information.

I doubt for one minute that the website I recommended here is any better or worse than any other, but what I do advocate is having ample choices to decide whether I want to engage, or not. That is my sole intent here and now.

To change the subject, and make my own comment on the story posted in this thread:

I detest any and all persecution, be it religious, political, or merely the school bully.

Trying to justify an act of violence by quoting one faith or another will never bring about a solution. That is because in the absolute sense of the words, there are no such things as either right or wrong. This is due to the inherent nature of each word to be defined by the person or group who has declared it to be so. Thus, from a purely philosophical point, right always belongs to the person or group with the most support, and is therefore subjective rather than objective.

Thankfully, there is a much higher gauge to measure the actions we all commit, and it is far easier to understand, identify with, and accept. It is plainly and simply called "Good," and "Not Good," which is also referred to as "Bad." What makes these more important is that "Good" is merely the presence of God in a person, group, or action committed by either. The opposite is also clearly discernible for it is called "Not Good" or "Bad" because there is an absence of God in that person, group, or action committed by either.

Thus, it matters not if the IS or ISIS is hiding under the banner of Islam, or not. What they have wrought in their actions is clearly NOT GOOD, and has the absence of GOD. And, for those who know God at all, it is a mere footnote to be concerned for the eventual outcome of those atrocities, for they will be dealt with, and in no uncertain terms, I can guarantee and assure you.

But, that's just my opinion, and I'm sticking to it!
