NWGUY
Thank Yota!!! No Negotiation with Maliki!!!! If they find him guilty of the things he has done, which I am sure that he is guilty of a lot more, than we even know, prosecute him!!! They don't need to negotiate to get him gone. They have a constitution, and laws, that will take care of his removal! Go RV or RI Soon!!!
oregonrealtor
Maliki: "I'll resign if you let me pick the new PM and set up the government the way I want it." What a joke! As blurry as my crystal ball is I don't see him going anywhere soon. He's already stalled for a couple of months now and everything is still all mucked-up. He likely needs to leave on a slab once the bus runs him over before these boobs move any kind of government forward. So folks, we wait, and wait, and wait. At least we get to enjoy watching the circus that they call a government.
waterman13
Thanks Yota, great article! +1 and 5 stars If that isn't an admission of guilt I've never heard one! I'll leave if you don't prosecute me for murder and theft. WOW. No negotiation, get the cuffs, off to the Hague with him. Wm13
TQueezy
He seems to find a way to prevent his removal, either by paying off parliament/government people, or by finding loopholes. Either way, it's gonna be a struggle to get him gone.
deniscanada
The interesting thing about this. If Iraq Gov says they won’t go after him. If I remember correctly the UN discussed in one of their meetings that they would investigate Crimes against humanity for ethnic cleansing. The UN is not bound by contracts that the Iraq Gove signs with M. Its an outside shot. But the UN can go after him. 10 YEARS LATER
Let's make a deal, deal. You leave the country and we don't hang you where you stand . . . on one condition you give back all the money & gold you've stolen. Otherwise we do you like the Italians did to Mussolini.
uncirculd
Whatever. He's been taken out and he still thinks he has negotiating power. Well maybe he should squeal on Iran’s involvement and take it to the top of the garbage. Which, may lead right back home. Just a vicious circle. Rochester
Iraq is trying democracy. One thing about democracy, is it is based on "peaceful transition of power"....That means the new guy that is elected, has to feel he can assume power, after winning a fair election, without any trouble. That means the old guy has to exit gracefully. And the old guy has all the levers of power, and may have done some nasty stuff, to stay in power. Hang Maliki and every subsequent elected Prime Minister of Iraq will be looking over his shoulder, when he leaves office, to see if they will be gunning for him. What most of you are thinking is a sure-fire way to nip this democratic experience, in the bud. Bad move. ....Send him to London, find him a good mistress and a nice house.
DoD
LMAO!!!! It's hard for any normal thinking person to believe that Maliki is thinking he still has any leverage to negotiate with this government. I would love to be in the room when Al Sistani arrives in Baghdad to have a heart to heart talk with Maliki, that would be priceless...I'm also thinking this will happen soon...
