Not to be a "Debbie Downer" here, but they are still fighting over some sections (see News Forum) such as 14,15,16, etc. and they keep postponing votes on them. Until the entire budget is approved, it can't get signed by Sudani and can't get published in the gazette. What they've done so far is encouraging, but some of the news articles seem to sound like the Kurds are getting pissed off yet again. It keeps boiling down to how their oil income is being handled. And today's hidden but obvious keywords: "draft" financial budget law. Draft is a far cry from actual budget. And all the while the "gurus" are running around wetting their Depends over the upcoming rate change within the budget. No need to hold your breath folks, we're still a long ways away I'm afraid. I have to disagree a bit. I take my cash to my local gold dealer who, by the way, has a strong online presence, and he hands me gold. He doesn't know who I am from squat and never will. No UST tracking happening there. Maybe he has to record all purchases and sales but I kind of doubt it......

Key word here is "initial". That says to me that it is a beginning date not a final vote date. No shock if this doesn't happen then and gets kicked further on down the road. But, hope springs eternal, you never know.

Something seems to terrify them about working on the budget. Probably a lot more going on behind the scenes that no one is privy too or they just can't help themselves from fighting amongst each other for their pet projects or control.
