Recommended Posts

They are dumber then arock it they think anyone is going to put anymore money into their country. Here we are back where we were right before ISIS hit. Complete with Maliki and Iran threatening to climb back in the saddle and run Iraq till their is nothing left to give again. Plus this time we don’t have Trump and Mad Dog at the helm to drive them all back under their rocks they all crawled out from under….  🤬

Oh yota, in my younger stupid days after various and sundry um, let's say elements, I had visions too. Some pretty good, too. But sincere thanks 😊 😘 for bringing over real news. One can only hope not soon, waiting with bated breath, but now. Last I read they could increase based on oil and other business dealings by 12%. That would be a start.

Adviser to the Prime Minister determines one option to reduce the dollar exchange.. He predicts the fate of the 2023 budget

{Economic: Al Furat News} The Prime Minister's Advisor for Economic Affairs has identified one option to reduce the dollar's exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar, while predicting the fate of the 2023 budget.

Haitham al-Jubouri said; For the program {Alstra} broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel tonight, that: “The financial equation in the country is the one that controls the exchange rate of the dollar, and if we want to strengthen the dinar and convince investors abroad to invest in the country gradually, the dollar begins to decline, i.e. encouraging investments and increasing non-oil revenues will raise the level of value of the dinar.
He added, "The Iraqi people are increasing by one and a quarter million people annually, and if we do not remedy the situation and make plans, we will actually suffer in paying salaries during the coming years. The future of future generations cannot be mortgaged to fluctuating oil prices."
Al-Jubouri explained, "In Iraq, if thinking about the economy remains in the same current mechanism, we will have mercy on the current exchange rate, and the white paper remained ink on paper without brains;
With regard to the federal budget for the fiscal year 2023, al-Jubouri said, "It can only be approved by the presence of a new government and not necessarily the same approach as the current government. It may take austerity for the sake of the article, but if the current government remains, we will proceed with setting the doors of law."
And he continued, "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi is the most president who followed up on the energy file in the country, and Iraq spent nearly $6 billion on the electricity sector in 2021, and there was supposed to be a levy for electricity that covers the ministry's costs completely, but it does not currently reach 15%."
Al-Jubouri went on to say, "The Federal Court's decision that the oil and gas law in the Kurdistan region is unconstitutional is a good step to negotiate with the federal government, and the Office of Financial Supervision is responsible for following up on the revenues generated from the region's oil, while the advances that the region currently receives are deducted from its share in the budget."
Regarding the economic pressure paper on Turkey after the criminal attack against civilians in the Bazakho resort, al-Jubouri said, "It is possible that the government has now begun to escalate. There is a complaint submitted to the Security Council and there is an intention for the presence of Iraqi forces in the areas adjacent to the Turkish border."
He stressed, "the need to arrange the situation before the boycott and to find an alternative to import, as the value of our imports from Turkey exceeds 20 billion dollars, which is higher than China."
Regarding automation, Al-Jubouri commented, “Iraq needs the correct automation of the border crossings, and we need other measures to make the automation step successful,” noting “Al-Kazemi’s failure in the financial file, but in general he acted wisely and got Iraq out of major crises.”
With regard to the political file, al-Jubouri stressed, “The framework is keen on the unity of the national ranks by nominating Muhammad Shia al-Sudani for the position of prime minister, and I think that his personality is acceptable to all parties and he is known for his integrity, and so far most of the blocs are welcome. .
Al-Jubouri concluded, "The two Kurdish parties are both insisting on their candidates for the presidency, and the nomination of Al-Sudani will lead to the acceleration of deciding the position of President of the Republic."

A new parliamentary move to reconsider the dollar exchange rate in Iraq - urgent

624 Policy 2022/07/27 16:47 Baghdad today -

Baghdad MP Mudar Al-Karawi revealed, on Wednesday, parliamentary proposals to reconsider the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, indicating that granting the dollar at a low price to import medicines will have positive repercussions. Al-Karawi said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "raising the dollar exchange rate and reducing the value of the Iraqi dinar were taken at a critical time that Iraq went through in the economic file, but the situation has changed for the better." He added, "The repercussions still hit more than 13 million citizens and put them below the poverty line after prices rose by 20-35% for foodstuffs and medicines, and there are items that rose by more than 50%." Al-Karawi pointed out, “The change in the exchange rate of the dollar is a decision in the hands of the Central Bank as an independent body and not in the hands of the House of Representatives, but there is another alternative in order to alleviate the impact of raising the exchange rate through the principle of the food or medicine dollar, that is, granting the dollar at reduced exchange rates in order to finance food purchase deals. medicine in order to lower its prices. He added, "The next stage should reduce the prices of medicines and food at the very least, because we are facing a poverty rate that exceeded 30% in Iraq. It must be contained, food and medicine provided at appropriate prices, and there should be a vision to reduce the repercussions of raising the exchange rate on millions of Iraqis who suffer severely."

"Economically And Parliamentaryly." Law: The Exchange Rate Of The Dollar Will See The Light Of Day In The Next Phase

%D8%A8%D8%B1%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%86-750

Information/private.

Jassim al-Musawi, a member of the state of law, said on Wednesday that the chances of the coordination framework within the dome of parliament have become very strong, and this qualifies him to change the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar against the U.S. dollar, while stressing that the improvement of the economic situation will push the dollar back to its old price.

"One of the main demands adopted by the State of Law Coalition is to restore the exchange rate of the dollar, especially after the economic situation has improved," al-Musawi told Al-Ma'ath news agency.

"The coordination framework has become the largest parliamentary bloc, and its chances have increased significantly within the dome of parliament and its impact is very strong, which enables it to change the exchange rate, especially since it is the main requirement of the framework during the next phase," he said.

"The currency's monetary reserves have risen to more than $70 billion and may rise to 90 or more, which could change the exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar with the existing economic improvement," he said.

Hassan al-Assadi, a member of the National Approach Alliance, said earlier that the dollar could be reduced in the new general budget, stressing that there is a parliamentary movement to restore the exchange rate of the dollar to what it was before.

I would suggest to all these parliamentary genuses that while all this urgency about the exchange rate in the next phase they also should consider getting off the US Dollar period…

Iraq should be more wealthy than SA but here we are. The big question to me is, if not now when….

Good question. I checked with the Iraqi gurus Al Camel and Al Goat. Not to confused with Mountain Goat

They said it will be a "floating new phase" It will RV over the the time zones gradually

Remember this is Iraq. and I said all Gurus get it wrong most of the time.

Another float to be looking for is the thin ice that tater head is floating on thin ice with his

audio recordings.

I am patient to wait for a few more sunrises to see the" light of day" for this to happen!!

I kind of a doubt about the world " floating ". Does " floating " mean rise gradually over the time? If it does , then the question is how many years is it going to take to float the rate from=0.00068USD to a buck? Personally, I prefer a straight RV rather than floating. For now, let's just wait and see what the CBI is planning to do with their currency.
