The head of the National Investment Commission Sami Araji, Tuesday, that Iraq will be presented during the donor conference in Kuwait amounts required to reconstruct the liberated areas, with the investment map in all governorates.

Agreed - Why would any country and/or companies do business with them if they not RV the currency and pass the budget.  If companies still invest with Iraq without the RV and budget being pass then somebody is getting paid under the table........

Iraq is a country of honest business people, laws to protect investors, and the extremely competent GOI has laid the rock solid foundation to allow for investors money to pour in with little to no risk. Iraq could rename their country “integrity” and no one would even notice. Investing in Iraq is a sure thing, slam dunk. Any investor should be truly thankful for this opportunity to invest in one of the most forward and progressive countries in the world. It’s going to be oil or other Iraqi resources, traded for investment.... that is really the only way I see anything happening.... no intelligent country is going to “invest” without an extremely solid return that is guaranteed.... heck, if I were the EU or any other country, I would have them send me oil in advance, before I start investing....there’s no “good faith” in Iraq

On 13th February 2018, and within series of events of the Kuwait International Conference of Iraq Reconstruction and Development, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) will organize jointly with the National Investment Commission of the Republic of Iraq, the World Bank (WB) and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) a conference entitled Invest in Iraq which will be attended by investors from all over the world. Iraq shall present the feasibility studies and licenses for 60 key investment projects with total amount exceeds $ 85 billion. The Advisor of the Kuwaiti Prince, confirmed on Tuesday, the participation of 2300 international companies in the Conference on the reconstruction of Iraq.
The Iraqi Journalists Association said in a statement that “the adviser of the Amir of Kuwait Mohammed Abu al-Hassan said during a meeting with the President of the Journalists Muayyad al-Lami and the media delegation the participation of 2300 major international companies and more than 70 countries in Iraq reconstruction conference in Kuwait.”
The head of Iraqi media delegation arrived in Kuwait on Monday to complete preparations for the Iraq reconstruction conference.
The State of Kuwait is scheduled to witness during the month of February to host a conference of donor countries to support the reconstruction of Iraq, and includes the conference to provide a report by the Iraqi government on the amount of destruction and the amounts required for the completion of reconstruction projects.

Iraq is sitting at precisely the right moment in history to become the preeminent M.E. country - a Centerpiece of Democracy, Prosperity and an Economic Power House. That be damned for most of these squabbling fools. They can only think of getting their fat greasy hands on more and more cash to stuff into their pockets.

Iraq focuses on the mutual cooperation between Iraq and Germany that would help in reconstructing the country in the period after Daesh.

This came during a meeting between the General Secretary of Ministerial Council, Mahdi Al-alaq and the German Federal Government Advisor to the Republic of Iraq on Economic, Budget and Reform Issues, Ekkehard Brose, and Ambassador Nunn.

Brose praised the upcoming Donors’ Conference for Iraq reconstruction to be held in Kuwait.

“This conference is a chance to open new opportunities for reconstructions, stability and investment in Iraq,” he added, “The German companies have the desire to invest in Iraq, especially ‘Siemens’ that tends to work on the Electric engineering and Electronic sectors.

Al-alaq asserted on the plan made by the Iraqi government to facilitate the regulations of having these companies investing in Iraq.

This plan will be announced during the Donors’ Conference for Iraq reconstruction to be held in Kuwait.
