  1. For you Goat followers out there, here is Mtn.Goat's latest opinion ... Please don't shoot the messenger..LOL... Have a great day, RON Mtn Goat Update: "Formal Announcement Is Coming" - 08/26/2014 Thank You George for sending to Recaps Tuesday Morning UU0406 - “ Formal Announcement is Coming” Hi Everyone, I come to you today to give you a recent update on the election process and how this relates towards the international rollout of the IQD for Iraq. Note: If you have not read my previous news letter from Wednesday 8/20, I encourage you to first read it. Today's news letter, as in all my news letters, is a continuation of the ongoing saga of the IQD RV process. ~~~ Today’s News Today is Monday 08/25 and still no formal announcement of the fully formed and seated government of Iraq. Why? Haider Al-Abadi, the prime minister, did schedule a news conference for today and all thought this would be the time of the announcement. We were all anxious to hear the news. The news conference was completed and let me tell you what was said and why. The Kurdish team met with Abadi and Parliament Speaker Salim Jubouri on Saturday following meetings with the Shia-led National Alliance and President Fouad Massoum on Friday. All of the consultations have been positive, Balatayi said. “We showed that we aren’t in a hurry to form the new government; we are more in a hurry to have our conditions met,” said Zana Rustay, another Kurdish negotiator. The Kurdistan negotiators are making several demands of the new government, including implementing the hydrogen carbon law (HCL) sending the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) its share of Iraq’s oil revenue, Article 140 (formal announcement of the outcome of the disputed lands), arming the Peshmerga forces and settling disputes over oil in the Kurdistan Region. “The Kurdish parties have agreed to ensure the Kurdish conditions are met first and then talking about the Kurdish posts in the Iraqi government because the Kurdish posts in the Iraqi government are secondary to the conditions Kurds have set. So this negotiating is taking longer than expected. Personally I do not think they will wait for these conditions to be met since Abadi did give them his word and assurance that all these items would be addressed shortly but first they needed a new government in order to do so. So what makes me think this? Now it is a matter of trust in dealing with the new faces of the GOI by all the blocs. They have already proven themselves since they did isolate Nori Al-Maliki and are moving forward with a new attitude for the government rid of Maliki, his goons and the sectarian (or prejudice) thinking, I feel this level of trust is high and all will continue in good fate. Also on Friday, the Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani spoke out and warned Iraqi parties not to set conditions for participating in the government. He said the cabinet should include leaders who represent all citizens and warned that "any demands and conditions could derail the forming of the new government." This is all good news to me and tells me once again they are not going to wait to settle all these conditions prior to the announcement of their new government. Another recent factor to consider: "The Acting Defense Minister, Sadoun al-Jobouri, and some key security officials attended the last session to discuss the massacre of Speicher Camp in Tikrit,". Security is still a huge concern and must be at a reasonable level prior to this economy taking off. Iraq's Prime Minister-designate Haider al-Abadi said today (Monday) that talks on forming a new government were constructive and predicted a "clear vision" on a unified administration would emerge within the next two days. Looks like they postponed the announcement again for a few more days. Why? The Parliament delayed their session this morning until 2:30 PM today, so Dr. Jobouri President of the Parliament could meet the families of the Speicher Camp massacre. Dr. Abadi said the formation of the government was very positive, and would be finished and announced WITHIN 2 DAYS and I believe this is now our new window. Earlier last week Abadi had stated the Iraq would make the formal announcement on Monday 8/25 today. This was delayed from the 8/11 date they originally gave us. I will say again that I can only guess they must wait for some reason to conform to this new targeted announcement date. There is a reason for them to keep pushing it out. Can it be that this date is being aligned with other announcements or other events too? Could they have been asked by the international community to wait? Could it be that they are moving so quickly in forming this new government they are getting ahead of themselves, ahead of a larger plan? In my last news letter dated 8/23 I talked about how the USA and the IMF is going to deal with the recent derivatives defaulting issue in the banks. As you all should know this is a serious situation and since the banks would once again have to fork over very large sums (in the billions) to cover these losses. Yes – they are asking Uncle Sam for yet another bailout. No kidding! Yet they have made recently record returns from investors and shareholders too. The USA taxpayers would never go along with another bailout of this magnitude since in the last bailout billions is still unaccounted for and thought to be massive corruption in this area (does it surprise you? ). I have been told that in last week’s G20 summit meeting this was all ironed out and two options were given to the USA to resolve this issue. One option involves the USA being bailed out by the IMF for a portion while the banks absorb the rest. The other option was for the USA to sink and default to investors. This would be devastating for the USA economy and would also effect the global financial sectors, something the IMF has been working so hard on to prevent another disaster of this magnitude since 2008. I have heard the USA has chosen the lesser of the two evils. Since if they pick option one they will have to give up those UN voting rights that they have been pressured to do since earlier this year. Yes – this has been brought to the table once again and used as a bargaining chip by the IMF to get what all parties need. You will not find this in the mainstream news media since they decided to keep all this hush hush. Now that this decision has been made this lessens any resistance the USA may have had to releasing the currency of Iraq and letting them finally join the international financial community. Could this have been why Iraq was told to hold off making their announcement of a formed government until all this can be ironed out? I believe it is part of the delay. Summary So today’s news is good news but not what we expected to hear. What can we expect next? So we now wait and see if they live up to their promised 2 day extension in making the announcement or will they postpone it again? They have already postponed it twice. We are reading all the articles out of Iraq now concentrating on “trust” factors with Kurdistan and the new government. They want what was promised to them four years ago. They need the promised oil revenues now more than ever in their fighting with the Islamic militants. They require getting their fare share as promised by the constitution and nothing else. They no longer trust the outgoing Maliki government and will not participate in the new government unless something is done to show good fate that this new government is not going to be like the old one. Can you blame them? The Finance Ministry too has spoken out this late last week telling us that they do not intent to issue the new 10,000 coins since the metal on the new coin is worth more that its face value. Why then print the new coin unless you have future plans to significantly increase it’s value? The money auctions were also held once again and if you look at the results this is telling us once again they can sustain the value of the dinar. It also tells us they are in desperate need to get the new government announced and back to business. This business would include getting the 2014 budget approved and opened so they can spend it. It also tells me they desperately need a currency worth something so they can deal with the rest of the global economy. This recent rice deal with India is just another example of the currency obstacle they encounter every time they attempt now to deal with another global nation in a transaction of this magnitude. So having their currency go global and putting a fair international rate on is the tidy ribbon wrapped around this package of laws they are about to announce very soon. There is just so much for parliament to do and make up for the last 8 years as quickly as possible. Also prior to June of this year the CBI recalled much of the lower denoms from the local banks throughout the “less safe” provinces of central and northern Iraq. Why did they do this? They did this since they were warned of a pending infiltration by Islamic militants and terrorists. The information warned of a desire to raid these banks knowing there were huge stockpiles of the new currency. We all know now about ISIS and how true this intel was. We heard about the fruitless break-ins on many of the banks. Why would these extremists want this worthless currency? They realize how close Iraq is to going global. They know as we know this country is about to economically explode and they know its currency is soon to revalue. The good news is the CBI is now contemplating redistributing this currency back to the banks. Why are they doing this? Could it be that they are preparing for some event…..lol…. So which will come first, the currency or the laws to which they need the new currency rate? The timing has to be perfect since both must be synchronized somewhat close together. Then when can we expect the RV? All I will say is what I have been saying all along we wait for a formal (global) announcement to the public that the Iraq government is now fully formed. Many of you asked me if a formal, public announcement is necessary and the answer is a big fat YES. Hang on folks, the announcement is coming! I do whole heartedly believe that the RV rollout will be completed just prior to or just after this announcement. I want to emphasize once again this final announcement of the IQD going international will not happen until the USA feels the Iraq government is stable, non-sectarian and is a functional government. This is has been the plan all along. They may have wavered a bit on how the plan was implemented but the overall plan guidelines have not changed. Peace and Luv To Ya All, Mnt Goat

  4. This was sent to me today from a dear friend of mine. WAR HORSES. Too magnificent not to send on. These horses were originally bred as "war horses" in the days of knights and armor. As the armor became heavier, bigger horses were needed and the Friesian almost became extinct. Fortunately they are back and are one of the most beautiful horses in stature as well as gait. Gorgeous animals!! Just watching them becomes a poetic emotional experience. The regal manes and tails! I noticed that when performing on grass their hoofs do not kick up a divot, as they gracefully land flat footed. These amazing horses are native to the Netherlands . You might want to have your audio on. The KFPS Royal Friesian Horse Uploaded on Jan 24, 2012 The KFPS Friesian Horse- beautiful, versatile, athletic, kind, willing, and able to do anything! 6. I think they are looking more along the lines of no extra garbage (pork) which the dawa/state of law (the PM's bunch) would put it without any type of accountability for spending. Just like the infrastructure law. Remember they didn't want to pass it cause maliki would get himself another blank check. This is one of the ways he embezzled from the state. I think they are going to be fixing a lot of crap such as that. And I also believe parliament will start to tackle those laws of HCL, investment/banking, and NCSP/National Council for Strategic Policy also known as Federal Council. The major laws we have been looking for since the inception of this investment. In this next month we will see if parliament is serious and that maliki and goons are gone. JMHO, but heck what do I know.

  7. When God’s Love Is Sweetest A WORD for Tuesday, 26 August 2014 "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word." (Ephesians 5:25–26) If you only hope for unconditional love from God, your hope is great, but too small. Unconditional love from God is not the sweetest experience of his love. The sweetest experience is when his love says: “I have made you so much like my Son that I delight to see you and be with you. You are a pleasure to me, because you are so radiant with my glory.” This sweetest experience is conditional on our transformation into the kind of people whose emotions and choices and actions please God. Unconditional love is the source and foundation of the human transformation that makes the sweetness of conditional love possible. If God did not love us unconditionally, he would not penetrate our unattractive lives, bring us to faith, unite us to Christ, give us his Spirit, and make us progressively like Jesus. But when he unconditionally chooses us, and sends Christ to die for us, and regenerates us, he puts in motion an unstoppable process of transformation that makes us glorious. He gives us a splendor to match his favorite kind. We see this in Ephesians 5:25–26. “Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her [unconditional love], that he might sanctify her . . . and present the church to himself in splendor” — the condition in which he delights. It is unspeakably wonderful that God would unconditionally set his favor on us while we are still unbelieving sinners. The ultimate reason this is wonderful is that this unconditional love brings us into the everlasting enjoyment of his glorious presence. But the apex of that enjoyment is that we not only see his glory, but also reflect it. “The name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in him” (2 Thessalonians 1:12).

  10. Ron Paul On Ferguson: The War Comes Home Submitted by Tyler Durden on 08/25/2014 21:47 -0400 First Amendment Submitted by Ron Paul via The Ron Paul Institute, America’s attention recently turned away from the violence in Iraq and Gaza toward the violence in Ferguson, Missouri, following the shooting of Michael Brown. While all the facts surrounding the shooting have yet to come to light, the shock of seeing police using tear gas (a substance banned in warfare), and other military-style weapons against American citizens including journalists exercising their First Amendment rights, has started a much-needed debate on police militarization. The increasing use of military equipment by local police is a symptom of growing authoritarianism, not the cause. The cause is policies that encourage police to see Americans as enemies to subjugate, rather than as citizens to "protect and serve.” This attitude is on display not only in Ferguson, but in the police lockdown following the Boston Marathon bombing and in the Americans killed and injured in “no-knock” raids conducted by militarized SWAT teams. One particularly tragic victim of police militarization and the war on drugs is “baby Bounkham.” This infant was severely burned and put in a coma by a flash-burn grenade thrown into his crib by a SWAT team member who burst into the infant’s room looking for methamphetamine. As shocking as the case of baby Bounkham is, no one should be surprised that empowering police to stop consensual (though perhaps harmful and immoral) activities has led to a growth of authoritarian attitudes and behaviors among government officials and politicians. Those wondering why the local police increasingly look and act like an occupying military force should consider that the drug war was the justification for the Defense Department’s “1033 program,” which last year gave local police departments almost $450 million worth of “surplus” military equipment. This included armored vehicles and grenades like those that were used to maim baby Bounkham. Today, the war on drugs has been eclipsed by the war on terror as an all-purpose excuse for expanding the police state. We are all familiar with how the federal government increased police power after September 11 via the PATRIOT Act, TSA, and other Homeland Security programs. Not as widely known is how the war on terror has been used to justify the increased militarization of local police departments to the detriment of our liberty. Since 2002, the Department of Homeland Security has provided over $35 billion in grants to local governments for the purchase of tactical gear, military-style armor, and mine-resistant vehicles. The threat of terrorism is used to justify these grants. However, the small towns that receive tanks and other military weapons do not just put them into storage until a real terrorist threat emerges. Instead, the military equipment is used for routine law enforcement. Politicians love this program because it allows them to brag to their local media about how they are keeping their constituents safe. Of course, the military-industrial complex’s new kid brother, the law enforcement-industrial complex, wields tremendous influence on Capitol Hill. Even many so-called progressives support police militarization to curry favor with police unions. Reversing the dangerous trend of the militarization of local police can start with ending all federal involvement in local law enforcement. Fortunately, all that requires is for Congress to begin following the Constitution, which forbids the federal government from controlling or funding local law enforcement. There is also no justification for federal drug laws or for using the threat of terrorism as an excuse to treat all people as potential criminals. However, Congress will not restore constitutional government on its own; the American people must demand that Congress stop facilitating the growth of an authoritarian police state that threatens their liberty. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-08-25/ron-paul-ferguson-war-comes-home

Maliki's coalition: Abadi his government would be the end of the week Coalition leader Khaled al-Asadi says Abadi will receive the names of the parliamentary blocs best characters, and then negotiates with the blocks on sites appropriate. 14. I understand where you are coming from bro, but a smart company should be able to see when they are losing business and when it's made obvious why it's happening, they can either change it to fit what their customers want, move it to a more neutral stance, thus picking business back up again, or leave it alone and be stubborn (the liberal way, then sue someone because it's always somebody else's fault they are having issues) and go under, that's the choice. I agree I'd be PO'd if I were a lifer somewhere, but I'd also be pushing me employer to change to survive, honestly I won't work for a company that doesn't share a similar belief system/values as I do, I know that's not always feasible, but that's the way I've always done it, again it's a choice. Has it cost me money? Possibly. Would I buckle on what I believe is right (prolife vs prochoice for example) for more money,No way, we all have one person to answer to in the end, everyone gets to chose their path how they see fit, gotta love the USA!! As far as the crisp bills, I've .............. heard that too.................... excuse me miss, I'll have a beer and a sandwich please, but go wash your hands first!!!

If you want a bar that's smoke free start one. If you want a business that has liberal values start one. But don't hide what it is you stand for and then not expect problems when you are called out on it. Freedom of choice! If you don't like what my business is or what I believe don't come in, if I don't like yours I'll do the same. See which ones stay in business based off their customers interests, beliefs, etc. change or go under. Unfortunately that's not the liberal way, they would rather FORCE you to comply with their belief system while completely ignoring yours!!! Hey I snuck a plural thru the system!!!

  17. "Made in America" is not a category they're rated on but that's a great idea! It's the organizations these companies fund (like planned parenthood) that we Pro-Life consumers should know before we support them. And STUPID policies like "no guns" in their establishment... I want to know who would disarm me to shop there (cuz criminals don't find that a deterrent!). I feel much safer in a store that lets responsible conceal carry patrons through the door... (because criminals DON'T).

  20. Trinity, It is good to see that you do not believe the shooting was racial. From your previous posts I honestly was not sure. That being said let's discuss the witnesses and procedure you site in your post. You state there are several witnesses who claim that Michael was shot while surrendering. One of these witnesses is on record as saying he was shot in the back while running away with his hands up. Since this witness was the only other person at the scene, was he telling the truth? Since the autopsy shows otherwise, and he has a history of lying to the police, I think not. It has also been reported that there were a dozen witnesses that said Officer Wilson was attacked when he opened the door of his squad car. The attack continued and the perp tried to get the Officers sidearm. It was also reported that several witnesses said Michael then rushed Officer Wilson and was shot several times until he stopped charging. I am not sure how you can write off what these witnesses said as "conjecture" while ignoring the ridiculous statement by the only other person at the scene, that Michael was shot in the back while running away with his hands up. Your scenario states the officer caused the chaos (by showing up?) and escalated the situation. In the scenario I (and other witnesses) described the officer was attacked before he could get out of his car. If this is the case exactly what procedure was Officer Wilson supposed to follow, other than his training that taught him that if he feared for his life he was justified in using deadly force to subdue said threat. If the evidence shows Officer Wilson caused the event by trying to teach the kid a lesson while arresting him as you said, I will accept that and agree the officer should go to jail. Conversely, if the evidence shows the officer was attacked and acted in self defense are you willing to accept that?

  22. Does anyone think there would be this kind of outrage if Brown had been killed by another black man (even an officer)? Of course not. Why is that? In the absence of reason... all that matters is that a WHITE cop shot a BLACK man. Doesn't matter why and no one seems willing to hold Brown responsible for his own actions that day. If what we've learned is true and Officer Wilson shot Brown in self defense, will the outrage subside? Doesn't sound like it. Nope... No justice for Officer Wilson. He needs to be made an example of so that the next white cop that finds himself in that kind of situation, thinks twice before doing his job or defending himself. How many calls would the police respond to in the black community if their hands were tied this way? It would be anarchy. Be careful what you wish for... Apparently JUSTICE is in the eye of the beholder. And they need justice for Michael Brown... such a lovely young man... and whatever you do... don't confuse them with the facts.

  25. Like I thought. You people are all standing around waiting to be told when the RV has occurred so you can haul your dinars down to your local bank and turn them into millions of dollars, right? How naive that is! Seven years from now you will still be standing around waitimg for someone to tell you the RV occurred. News Flash: You are waiting on a non-event. A myth promoted by people who make their money off the gullible. A SCAM. Here is the only plausible scenario for the iraq dinar. 1. IF the region calms down and iraq's sovereign borders are not infringed upon, 2. the CBI with FO approval, slowly revalues the exchange rate until a 1000 to 1 ratio, 3. the CBI gets permission for a new ISO code to Redenominate their currency lopping the tjree zeros, 4. the CBI announces the time frame to exchange the old for new currency, usually 1-2 years, 5. The CBI may require this exchange to occur only in Iraq, as they did in 2003, 6. After exchange period ends, the 2003 dinar series will be demonitized. 7. The M2 of iraq is now reduced to 80 Billion dinars. 8. the speculators of the dinar currency will be left flapping in the breeze, as I have been warning you about for months.

  26. Yep it sure is coming, that's a given. We wait for it. SOON. So after the government is confirmed, seated, reconfirmed, announced, printed in triplicate, lost, found, and finally made public, everyone will start squabbling to work out the details. The new thing we will have to wait for after the government is formed is how much will everyone get? Representatives and groups will argue for their piece of the pie. GET READY FOR IT. We're gonna have to endure parliamentary squabbling, MARK MY WORDS. The "gurus" will start saying "this and that has to be worked out." "They can't agree on X." "This party wants X, and they're stronger, and that's good for us!" "Party or group X is holding things up." I think there should be a poll question..... Who thinks the RV will magically POP within 72 hours of the GOI being FORMALLY ANNOUNCED?

  27. "The Finance Ministry too has spoken out this late last week telling us that they do not intent to issue the new 10,000 coins since the metal on the new coin is worth more that its face value. Why then print the new coin unless you have future plans to significantly increase it’s value?" I believe that they meant 10,000 dinar bill, not a coin. Also, my understanding was that the RV would be a "revenue neutral" event, which means that the value either way wouldn't make a difference. Just sayin'.....

  28. Agreed all the way! The money is still being spent, just at business A instead of business B, if business B goes out of business or is hurting because of it, those employees should help pressure that business into making smarter donation choices, if the business isn't smart enough to change then let them go out of business, PERIOD! If those employees lose their jobs because of it maybe they'll think before they vote next round and vote for pro business (yes the ones employing everyone) candidates instead of govt. dependence candidates, you reap what you sow!!! LOL, Victoria's Secret!!!

  29. Thx Ronscara. Mountain Goat usually has a fresh perspective on things. We must remember, however, it's just that: a perspective. If you right now flip over to another site.com you'll read 20 "perspectives" of different gurus, one of which is Mountain Goat. Typically through the years the common thread for all of them is as follows (or some variation thereof): circumstances are right, new government is being set, Turki is ready to pull the trigger, Jack Lew is in trouble, the U.S. has blocked the RV, the Kurds won't agree to let it go, Obama has stopped it one more time, this week is it, today is it...........etc. What would REALLY be refreshing would be for one of these gurus to simply say, "I don't really know. But I think ..........." But they get away with never saying that. They're given impunity by thousands of dinarians who all cling to the hope that some little piece of what they blog is true. And I guess that on one special day, they're going to be right: the RV will happen one day. And they predict it EVERY day.....so they'll hit it eventually. OR WILL THERE BE AN RV? Hmmmmmmm.......

  35. Denis and Tbomb what great articles. Both, depict much of the same as to what is going on presently in Iraq. Both economist agree that the CBI has held the exchange rate stability, and Kudos for Turki during this turmoil that is going on in Iraq. 1194 Market rate to 1166 for the CBI rate which it now, was historically the lowest market rate since 2003, and this was under Shabibi's watch. The 1194 only lasted a day. It was October 31st 2012. Today we see Turki, holding the rate at 1212, which isn't Shabby (no pun intended) for the turmoil Iraq is going through. Al- Tamimi says ( that tightening controls on an auction sale of currency (USD) and the remittance was positive, particularly that associated with the mechanism did not confuse smooth sale and availability of foreign currency on the domestic market, indicating the importance of the project to make the members of the boards of Directors of private banks comply with the law especially were they trespass him uninformed, pointing out that this procedure is working calendar private banking sector.) This statement, I believe is referring to the article we read this weekend. the CBI basically said that the private banks must go by the CBI rate when selling foreign currency and cannot deviate. This act within it'self will hold stability of the market rate, along with making the dollar available. Shabibi, congratulates the CBI for maintaining the stability of the market rate, but gives room for improvement. He provides advise to improve the economy for the people. (Although the Central Bank has achieved great success in stabilizing the exchange rate is the main goal, however the rest of the economy has not benefited from the stability provided by a bank product and this is not a Central Bank, but the problem of comparability of the investment in the private sector. The banks that received foreign currency were not active enough in lending. But funds were used in the filing abroad where adequate security is not available at home.) Shabibi goes into the fact that Japan and Germany were able to turn their economies around within 10 years and Iraq, because of political instability is at a loss. IMO, the people still do not trust the banks and the banks needs investment and deposits to maintain the economic sector. Apparently the people who have ability to put their money in the banks for investment or just routine deposits take their money abroad, because of the lack of legislation, due to political instability. Prime example was today. Only 190 deputies showed up to parliament out of 328. I believe Iraq, with the potential of this new government is on a positive road, but it's going to take everyone's participation both economically and politically. IMO, there are still many laws broken to be passed for this kind of stability both for reconciliation and the economy, before we see the value of the Dinar increase.

  41. I'm on a multitude of other forums, with subjects on exotic birds, micro-brewed beers, foreign currencies, and street rods. This is the only one that let's someone get away with one-line posts that load up the "What's New" section with literally NOTHING of substance. I pop in here and see nine topics listed currently under "What's New", and they all have the same Avatar under Last Post. I have a special needs step-son, and this is on par with the same type of attention-getting stuff that he does. He wants recognition for every single little thing that he does, regardless of how insignificant it is. If he shuts the patio door when he comes in from the back yard, he stands there and repeats, "Look, I closed the door." until someone says, "Good job.". It was cute when he was 3. He's 16 now... Let's just give Sandfly his award for Most Posts now, and save ourselves from having to see anymore one-line posts that contribute NOTHING to the subject. Maybe that will stop the insanity, and the copy cats that have jumped on his bandwagon...
