"The series of canceling the results of Iraq's 2018 elections is not yet complete," Zebari wrote on his Facebook page. "There is a call for another special session of the House of Representatives, which has only 8 days left under the constitution."

He added: "Therefore, the presidency of the parliament and the coalition of losers invent a new innovation to extend the mandate of parliament until the end of the year so as not to turn the government into a caretaker government only, but extends its powers, and if this happened will constitute a serious constitutional breach and a coup against the democratic system and the entire federal.

The Federal Court on Thursday approved the constitutionality of all articles of the third amendment law to the electoral law, which was legislated by the House of Representatives on June 6, while the third article on the cancellation of the votes of voters abroad and displaced and the movement of population in four provinces and the special vote in the Kurdistan region. Finished (1)

The term of the House of Representatives expires on the 30th of this month, with the largest legislative body in the new parliament, according to Article 54 of the Constitution .

"The head of the new parliament is the only winner of the democratic civil coalition in Baghdad, Muhammad Ali Zinni, born in 1939, who will preside over the first session of the elected parliament as the oldest member," a source at the election commission said.

The source pointed out that "the task of Zinni will end when the election of a permanent president of the new parliament and two deputies to him."

For his part, said MP Mohammad Ali Zinni that "will exercise his task to run the first meeting of the parliament in accordance with the constitutional contexts followed, and will work in a spirit of youth, and refuses to take any executive position, even if this position is the Ministry of Oil near his competence.

Zini revealed his intention to form an opposition bloc within the new parliament, including a number of young deputies to assess the work of Parliament and the government, noting that "he met with young people and discussed with them the idea of the opposition."

Wazini, 79, an academic who was born in the province of Najaf, was nominated for the Baghdad governorate in an election campaign described as strange, to get the only seat of the democratic civil coalition in the Iraqi capital .

Although many candidates have resorted to propaganda and campaigning for parties and candidates for months, the irony was that Zinni won a seat in parliament without any publicity campaigns .

Observers believe that Zinni is the only candidate who has not published a declaration, has not campaigned and has not visited tribes and channels, instead of publishing and distributing his electoral card himself and communicating with his students and loved ones through social media .

He earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham in 1969. He received a bachelor's degree in law from Mustansiriya University in 1974. He then received a PhD in oil from the University of Colorado, 1980 .

He left with his family to the United States in 1983, Iraq, and took executive and advisory positions in the field of oil there.

The Iraqi parliament resumed  Friday evening its extraordinary session to discuss the developments of the election results crisis against the background of the decision of the Federal Court , which supported the House of Representatives vote to amend the election law.

An Iraqi parliamentary source confirmed that the House of Representatives began reading the draft law to extend its work, explaining to the "new Arab" that the parliament completed the reading of the draft before raising its meeting to Sunday.

The source pointed out that the parliamentary legal committee had completed the preparation of the law to extend the work of Parliament for submission to the vote, indicating to the "new Arab" that the proposed extension ends after the process of re-counting and manual counting and validation of the results.

The Speaker of Parliament, Salim Jubouri, said that the session aims to extend the work of the legislative authority, indicating during the opening session that this comes within the attempts to correct the electoral process.

In the same context, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the former finance minister, Hoshyar Zebari, that the extension of the mandate of parliament to the end of this year, "a new heresy," explaining in a statement that this represents a constitutional violation and a coup against the regime.

He pointed out that there are attempts to hold a session of Parliament, despite the survival of only 8 days to the end of his mandate, accusing the presidency of the parliament and the losers in the election to create a "new heresy extending the work of Parliament, so as not to turn the government into a caretaker government only, but extends its powers," as he put it.

He pointed out that this is a "serious constitutional breach and a coup against the democratic political system and the entire federal," he said.

The spokesman for the leader of the Sadrist movement, Jaafar al-Moussawi, that the current is not convinced of the decision of the Federal Court on the re-counting and manual counting of the results of the elections, adding in a statement: "Although the conviction of the decision of the Court, but this does not mean that we reject its decisions" .

He pointed out that the call for restraint launched by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, on Thursday, was addressed to all Iraqis and not to followers of the current alone.

Sadr has recommended his followers to exercise restraint even if they are unconvinced by the decisions of the Federal Court.

Thanks, Yota.

The President if the Parliament,  Jubouri was definitely voted out. That is why he keeps trying to go against the Iraqi Constitution to vote Parliment remaining in effect for like the remainder of the year. But even Zabari out of Kurdistan Has stated “He added: "Therefore, the presidency of the parliament and the coalition of losers invent a new innovation to extend the mandate of parliament until the end of the year so as not to turn the government into a caretaker government only, but extends its powers, and if this happened will constitute a serious constitutional breach and a coup against the democratic system and the entire federal.

Im beginning to think Jubouri has lost his mind as he just keeps pulling Parliament in for meetings and pushing forward with his plan of action to stay in, even though he was voted out.....  🤨
