Obviously what I am going to say about this is strictly an opinion😌 but I believe when these arrests come to fruition,  (I pray Maliki’s name is on the list) we will see some action with the RV.  They will make an example out of these arrestees and others will think twice before they try to steal millions.

As far as I can recall, this is the last hurdle for them. They won’t have complete economic security (according to their definition) until they have strong industries other than oil but that will take years and a strong currency will expedite that process. 🌼

BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
A member of the parliamentary legal committee, Alia Nassif, revealed the issuance of arrest warrants and the investigation and investigation of 48 high-ranking officers in the Defense Ministry on corruption charges, including former chief of staff Staff Staff Aboud Qanbar and Nineveh operations chief Majdi al-Gharawi. The Ministry of Defense and the Interior to the issuance of arrest warrants against officers of a large rank in the ministries, including the former Minister of Defense and the current Air Force Commander.
"Orders were issued against the commander of the Air Force, Anwar Hama Amin, two weeks ago, against the backdrop of a waste of public money in the Czech armament contracts. There are also orders to arrest the former defense minister Khaled al-Obeidi," Nassif said. She explained that "there are arrest warrants and the investigation and investigation issued against 48 senior officers in the Ministry of Defense on charges of corruption and waste of public money," noting that "the most prominent names Associate former Chief of Staff Staff Staff Aboud Qanbar, and the commander of Nineveh, Gen. Mahdi Gharawi, Current first team Anwar Hama Amin in addition to former Defense Minister Khaled Obeidi. "
Nassif added that "the Air Force commander told the investigators that this is a personal targeting him, while Al-Obeidi refused to attend the investigation," pointing out that "the Air Force commander tried to arrange for him to send to Germany, but failed to do so."
But Naseef fears that the corruption file "has not made any progress" and rules out fighting corrupt people because they "belong to currents and influential political parties." In her opinion, Prime Minister Haider Abadi "speaks of general addresses, but when he goes into the details of the files, he will face great difficulties, including the possibility of overthrowing him from office.
Nassif said that Abadi "knows in detail the violations and corruption in the currency auction at the Central Bank and the thefts of state-owned land, but did nothing about it; because he does not want to clash with his allies and partners in the political process." "I think he's talking about fighting corruption with the aim of putting pressure on a rival and for electoral reasons."
The issue of combating corruption and its inherent complexity is that most of the officials who have been arrested on charges of corruption have fled the country or were released shortly after the arrest. The judiciary was released a few days ago by the head of Basra Governorate Council Sabah al-Bazzouni, As well as the release of former Anbar governor Suhaib al-Rawi and the governor of Salah al-Din Ahmed al-Jubouri.
It is noteworthy that the judge of the Court of Integrity in Rusafa, said yesterday, the day before yesterday, the newspaper «Judiciary» of the Supreme Judicial Council: «Many orders issued against ministers and agents, not implemented despite the continuing assurances, and some of the reasons due to the escape outside the country», Pointing out that «the judiciary issues arrest warrants and is not responsible for its implementation; this lies with the executive authority represented by the Ministry of the Interior».

Corruption becomes a dinosaur after he was an ant ... The Iraqi authorities are throwing "the ball of corrupt officials" among themselves

Baghdad / Baghdadiya News .. Observers believe that the executive, judicial and legislative and Integrity Commission in Iraq, "throwing" the ball in relation to the fight against corruption, as they pointed out that those involved in corruption in the country, may end up to run away abroad pockets of money Or out of bars after being released, despite the authorities' promises to fight them.

"The issue of fighting corruption in Iraq is still purely theoretical in a country that ranks tenth among the most corrupt countries in the world, although the prime minister, Haidar al-Abadi, Before the announcement of the "final victory" on the organization of a preacher in early December, the next battle will be against corruption.

But Hashemi, he explained that "the situation will not change unless the protection is lifted from the corruption covers controlling the joints of the economy and security and the Iraqi army."

For her part, MP Majida al-Tamimi, said corruption has reached the stage of "dinosaur after being an ant" since the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. "It is certainly a difficult and cruel issue of war on a preacher."

"If all the parties are corrupt and I do not imagine there is a party without corrupt people, there are percentages about the nature of the takeover," she said. "If the corrupt are from within your party, the war will be fierce and requires international and internal support from the parties themselves to fight it."

One politician, ironically, said that "the official who steals less than $ 60 million is seen as honest when talking about corruption at a high level."

A member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, MP Rahim Darraji, said that there are more than five thousand imaginary contract and received imaginary companies between 30 to 60 percent of the money based on these contracts, stressing that the amount of money wasted in construction projects and infrastructure, on paper only , Amounted to 228 billion dollars, where these funds exceed three times the general budget and the country's GDP.

According to experts, "this great corruption helps to explain the huge shortage of services and the deterioration of infrastructure and the deterioration of industrial and agricultural development," where Iraq continues to import electricity and petroleum products, the second oil producer in the Organization "OPEC" , And the country is almost completely free of industrial and agricultural projects, and rely almost exclusively on imports, which observers consider an inevitable result of the spread of corruption.

"The Iraqi Ministry of Defense, for example, contracted the purchase of 12 aircraft from a Czech company worth 11 million dollars, but paid a bribe worth 144 million, and he added sarcastically:" We stole, without giving further details. "

A government source told Agence France-Presse that the authorities were using investigators from Western institutions and from the United Nations mission to track smuggling and money laundering operations. The judiciary spokesman, Judge Abdel Sattar Birekdar, said: "There are corrupt people who have been convicted by judicial decisions and sentenced to punishment under the law , But included in the law of amnesty enacted by the House of Representatives. "

"The legislation that was passed last year included those accused of corruption, if they returned the amounts that they stole or that caused the misappropriation of damages," while another judicial source said that "the legislation is unfair, because of the theft of two billion, for example ten years ago and now become He has 20 billion, he pays two billion and leaves prison. "

The Integrity Commission had earlier called for tougher penalties for those accused of corruption and demanded that the defendants be suspended. An impartial judge accused the executive of being behind the failure to arrest those responsible for corruption after court orders were issued against them. End of 21 / m

A difficult task for Abadi to defeat the corrupt in Iraq

The Iraqi prime minister confirms that he was unable to occupy the Iraqi cities only because of the corrupt in the previous government.

Will Abadi succeed in his war on corruption?

BAGHDAD - Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Saturday that corrupt officials in the previous government had caused "disasters" in the country that ranks tenth among the most corrupt countries in the world.

"The corrupt and those who seized state funds are the ones who caused these disasters," said Abbadi, attending the critical Iraq Victory Festival held by Abbas's fighting squad. "Fadash could only occupy cities because of corruption."

Before announcing the final victory over a preacher in early December, Abbadi said the next battle would be against corruption.

Abadi admitted a few days ago that the fight against corruption would be tough and that the proceedings were on track and there were lists under investigation "and we will surprise the corrupt."

But there is widespread belief in Iraq that eventually those involved in corruption cases end up fleeing out of the country with pockets of money or out of bars after being released despite the authorities' promises to fight them the same way they did against the jihadists.

Iraq ranks tenth among the most corrupt countries in the world, with the executive, judicial, legislative and integrity authorities playing ball in each other's stadium in the fight against corruption.

According to political analyst Hisham al-Hashemi that the issue is still "pure theory .. Nothing will change unless the protection is lifted from the covers of corruption that dominates the joints of the economy and security and the army of Iraq."

"Corruption has reached the stage of dinosaur after being an ant" since the US-led invasion of Iraq to topple Saddam Hussein's regime in 2003, MP Majida al-Tamimi said.

"It is certainly more difficult and cruel than war on a preacher," she says.

"If all the parties are corrupt and I do not imagine there is a party without corrupt people, there are proportions of the nature of the takeover," she said. "If the corrupt are from within your party, the war will be fierce and requires international and internal support from the parties themselves to fight it."

Doubts surround the possibility of doing anything effective and decisive.

One of the politicians told a group of reporters sarcastically that the official who steals less than $ 60 million, is seen as fair, when talking about corruption at a high level.

Three times the country's budget is wasted

MP Rahim Darraji, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, says there are more than 5,000 fictional contracts, and fake companies have received 30 to 60 percent of the money based on these contracts.

He said the amount of money wasted on construction projects and infrastructure, on paper only, amounted to 228 billion dollars, noting that these amounts "flared like smoke."

These funds exceed three times the national budget and the country's GDP.

Experts believe that this massive corruption helps to explain the huge shortage of services, the deterioration of infrastructure and the deterioration of industrial and agricultural development.

Despite the explosive budget of the sale of oil, Iraq continues to import electricity and petroleum products, the second OPEC oil producer.

The country is almost completely devoid of industrial and agricultural projects and relies almost entirely on imports, which observers see as an inevitable consequence of rampant corruption.

And the projects carried out inside the country have been through large amounts of state treasury included a huge amount of bribes.

Daraji said the Iraqi Defense Ministry, for example, had contracted the purchase of 12 planes from a Czech company worth $ 11 million. "But I paid a bribe worth 144 million," he says, sarcastically, "we stole," without giving further details.

Escaping from the Punishment

A government source says authorities are using investigators from Western institutions and from the United Nations mission to track money laundering and money laundering.

"There are corrupt people convicted by judicial decisions and sentenced to punishment under the law, but they are covered by the general amnesty law passed by the House of Representatives," said judicial spokesman Judge Abdul Sattar Birqdar.

Among those who managed to escape from the country, Basra Governor Majid al-Nasrawi, accused by Abdullah Aweiz, one of the country's leading contractors, in a television interview claim 15 percent of the value of each project allocates five percent to his party and 10 percent go to his pocket.

The Integrity Commission called for tougher penalties for those accused of corruption and called for a halt to the inclusion of those accused of amnesty.

An integrity judge accused the executive of being behind the failure to arrest those responsible for corruption after court orders were issued against them.

"The legislation passed last year included those accused of corruption, if they returned the amounts that they had stolen or that caused their misappropriation," says Berkdar.

"The legislation is unfair, for example, it stole two billion years ago, for example 10 years ago and now it has 20 billion," he said. "He pays the two billion and leaves prison." "It's like a bank loan."

According to the agency (Sumer News) news, that Mishan Jubouri confirmed that there are fictitious projects were carried out on paper in the provinces that were occupied because of the lack of control, and therefore was the only way to cover this serious file, as there are huge funds in Salahaddin province, for example Which has enormous funds seized by corrupt.

Al-Jubouri is an example of one of the models in one of the villages of Salah al-Din. Five projects were implemented in a village called al-Zouiyya on the grounds that Da'ash destroyed it, but we proved integrity in the opposite way.

"There is a dangerous matter, there are weapons and depots, but they are all lies, and so armed groups such as al-Qaeda took their quotas under the pretext of protection, and thus created a safe environment for terrorism under the guise of corruption.

He accused Mishan Jubouri, corrupt parties, in the military facility to facilitate the entry (Dahesh) through the available funds.

On the role of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee headed by MP Talal Al-Zobaie, Jabouri said that the committee can not do anything because it represents the power parties that are involved in corruption.

Al-Jabouri accuses the committee of complicity in covering corruption because it protects the forces and political parties accused of corruption. This made me act alone in communicating about corruption because it prevents this from taking place in the committee without taking his positions. The feasibility of working within them.

MP Mishan al-Jubouri had already accused the head of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Talal al-Zobaie, of carrying out acts of extortion.

Jubouri said in his account on the social networking site "Facebook" The Presidency of the House of Representatives realized the abuses practiced by Talal Zobaie and asked the Integrity Committee to isolate and replace.

"I realized a few days after Zobaie took over the chairmanship of the Integrity Commission and that this man's job is to blackmail the corrupt and get them a part of what they steal, not to fight corruption or to limit it as it is supposed to, so I boycotted the committee and I did not deal with it and I took my own role so I The only MP who has praised the integrity of his cooperation with them in the detection of files of corruption hundreds of billions of dollars.

He pointed out that the failure of the members of the Integrity Committee to implement the decision of the Presidency of the House of Representatives to elect a replacement for Talal Zubai means that some members of the Integrity Committee agree on the disadvantages of Zobaie so I appeal to the public who elected them to pressure them to rid integrity of one of the pests of corruption, indicating that the desire to protect the people And his corrupt abilities behind the intent.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri had asked in an official letter addressed to the Integrity Commission to replace the Chairman of the Committee Talal Zobaie, indicating that, through our follow-up to the work of the Integrity Committee during the previous period and the nature of the tasks entrusted to it we would like to prove our reservation to the management of the work of the Committee and ask the direct committee to choose a president While maintaining electoral benefits.

Iraq is a country under the influence of corrupt parties!
Iraq is a country under the influence of corrupt parties!

Haidar Abdel Sada Brahimi

The noble patriotic voices in all Iraqi provinces, especially the affected southern provinces, whose sons and daughters are sacrificed in order to preserve the unity and purity of every inch of this country, are surprised, but today they are surprised by the government's corrupt policies. To deprive citizens of their most basic rights to live well.
Among these failed policies is the decision to privatize electricity and put the burden on the citizen over the difficult economic conditions experienced by the Iraqi citizen as a result of the collapse of the country's economy by the ruling Islamic parties that destroyed everything and is working hard to retaliate against this people by all possible means to remain in power Based on some of the flattery and the shoes and the bottoms, but it is for this people to remain silent on injustice has started in Dhi Qar, the real popular revolution against corruption and against the heads of corruption and shouting in their names in the middle of the field after they realized that the main control in all what comes in the city Special and Iraq form in general is the Islamist parties wretched, began the national vote, honorable chants the right in the hope of achieving Matzmoa him under the threat of arrest or assassination, which has long been the main weapon of the gangs of Islamic, Yesterday the recent spread video on social networking to Veaqari oppressed pages and is tearing his clothes
Yes, this may be true, but we are used to Iraq, especially after the fall of the former regime after 2003. The rule in Iraq has become a democratic rule and everyone has freedom in what he wants to say, whether against the government or against the party. But all this is completely contrary to the reality on the ground. All local governments have pledged allegiance to the central government by dominating the media and have become under surveillance and under intimidation. This in itself ensures widespread non-proliferation as well as intimidating demonstrators by making malicious claims that could lead to confinement and deprivation of their families. Of reassurance p Li safety!

Books / Samir Nasser ...
(1508), and will not be left of the current government, and the holding of the next parliamentary elections only (150) days, what is expected of the Prime Minister of these categories of stray and corrupt that stole the money of the Iraqi people, Who described them in his recent statements by saying that "the corrupt are those who brought terrorism into the country." He authorized ... Where is the battle for war on corruption? Where are the promises of the great revolution that will be held against the corrupt after the liberation of Iraq from criminal gangs represented by the terrorist "Da'ash"? , Where the application of the law and the imposition of sanctions and confrontations in the face of public money? Where are the prisons that will be filled with criminals who brought Iraq to what it is now of destruction and destruction? , Where is the difficult account of those who caused the hunger and deprivation of Iraqi families and the loss of billions of dollars from the treasury of the state? , Why they do not send these thieves to justice for their just punishment and the return of funds
All these questions are posed to Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, who requires him to take a firm stand and a courageous decision to lift immunity immediately from the corrupt, especially the large whales, officials and senior employees who work in the legislative authority represented by the Iraqi parliament and in the executive authority represented by the Iraqi government and ministries, Including the ministers, ambassadors, agents, governors, directors-general and directors of the offices of the Inspector-General and others, for the purpose of initiating their trial, accountability and incarceration in prisons, like other criminals who have been released And to immediately face their cases to the fair Iraqi judiciary and apply the law to everyone without exception and to withdraw the stolen and smuggled money, whether inside Iraq or abroad.
Will it be done by Abadi and announce the names of corrupt big whales and not (young employees) to be the new year 2018 years of joy and good to all Iraqis, and will be a year (miserable and sad) on the criminals and thieves ... Can the Prime Minister to start a process of real reforms to save Iraq from falling, Reforms and changes promised to the Iraqi people to improve services, provide clean and clean water, eliminate unemployment suffered by a large number of young graduates and open appointments, as well as improve electricity, which has become a major obstacle to the lives of Iraqis, and Schools in most of the provinces of Iraq, which lack the school buildings that are still mud and block, and also provide classrooms and modern halls and means of clarification that pave and help the student to succeed, as well as the provision of hospitals in all provinces as this requirement is a humanitarian requirement to treat patients and care Latest technology
We will confirm that the second mandate will be inevitable and the share of Abadi in the event of the start of his upcoming campaign and reveal the files and names of whales in the Iraqi state of the corrupt and purge the Iraqi institutions of these thieves, because it will be respected and appreciation of the majority of the Iraqi people and who will vote for him because he fought two important battles are battle And the battle of (corruption), and the Prime Minister can also choose the competencies of scientific and independent technocrats in the next election cycle, to be faithful to the Iraqi ministries and government departments and promote them again, and to save Iraq and Iraqis and They are called by those who betrayed honesty and misused the property of this country and its money and its resources

I realize this is a call of action to Abadi but it says all the right things.

Looks like, without exception, the corrupt will be rounded up.

My opinion, those culpable of Crimes Against Humanity (i.e. Nouri al-Maliki and others) will have a "special indictment" with subsequent prosecution. What could also happen is Nouri al_Maliki (along with like cohorts) is indicted in Iraq, taken into custody, booked, and then transferred to INTERPOL for delivery to the ICC under ICC indictment, booked, and then the rest is history for Nouri al-Maliki and cohorts.

I am more inclined to think this all has to have the utmost secrecy in planning and execution all at once so none of the miscreants get away with INTERPOL and other foreign agencies.

With the RTGS being put in place at some point in time, this may facilitate a fairly immediate return of a significant portion of the pilfered funds back to the CBI under national agreements with foreign entities. I suspect the foreign entities will be agreeable to such arrangements knowing there is a far better opportunity awaiting them with an international IQD with subsequent ability to facilitate reconstruction, economic development, and foreign investment in Iraq.

Just my :twocents: and thinking out loud here.

Go Moola Nova!
