King Bean
They say money doesn't buy happiness, but dang I would like to try it sometime! While that MAY be true....it WILL buy a new Corvette and keep the wife in all the Victoria's Secret apparel she can stuff into her closet. And...in my mind...that's HAPPINESS.

umbertino
True, I guess you can be happy without money..nah, no you can't, not gonna be possible living in a developed country. How about comfortable and less stress? Maybe we could wish for that and save the daydreams for being rich? Working for the man and paying taxes to the PTB is destroying my fantasy life! You're absolutely right. I have been a patient poster here for a long time--and do heed sage advice---but this so-called RV thing is dragging on year after year True. And again if those who were already in it, say 5 years ago, would have prophesized on various Forums that in another 5 years ( now) we'd still be without a RV......There would have been a public stoning going on in the least. So let's just state it will happen.......Soon? I for one need the money. Edited November 7, 2013 by umbertino
Alex38
I bought 3 million dinars--4 years ago : as a newbie I thought the RV would hit before the Fed-Ex even arrived -----LOL I used to daydream about being rich overnight on a small investment---a huge yacht to live on--quit work now it seems that Iraq will never do anything---keep using our USD Agreed.

stealthwarrior
We all have hopes and dreams of this investment but you really have to be grounded.we all know thad not ever make a nickle off of this.i have about 1000.00 invested.if i lose it.that's ok.if i had 10 times that amount invested,i might be more worried.never invest more than you could lose without being financially hurt.it is a gamble just like walking into a casino.stay positive and real.we all know that something WILL happen with Iraqs currency.
ScaryMary
stealthwarrior I agree, I also have about $1000 invested. I only bought what I could afford. Not turning it in for USD until the RV. This will happen.

We fid'na know. I think next year .. early. Been in this about 5 years...I go back and forth on the LOP vs Rv thing...I guess like everybody else. Sometimes I think it can't RV for the trillions out there, other times I think they are hiding critical numbers and will RV low, say 10-25 cents, and I say great to that....I don't think it will jump to a dollar and make us millionaires anymore. Just don't think so. I suppose they have factors to get in order before and RV, say the HCL, UN restrictions, etc., but then I switch to common sense and think, why haven't they RV'd yet? (Don't give me that Maliki malarkey, LOL) Funny, that is the argument we throw at the lopsters - why haven't they RD'd yet, if they are going to do it. Although it is harder to RV and go international, what with banking, intl. rules, electronics, etc., than it would be to drop the zeros and RD. Then I see them going on ad infinitum with the dollar. Do they really have pride about their currency? They can just use the dollar. Paper is paper. Maybe. I don't know. I bought several million and have it stashed...when it happens it happens. I enjoy coming here and seeing all you guys a lot. I have been here a lot longer than you think.... Bless all of you and your dreams. RVWITHME
I bought 3 million dinars--4 years ago : as a newbie I thought the RV would hit before the Fed-Ex even arrived -----LOL I used to daydream about being rich overnight on a small investment---a huge yacht to live on--quit work now it seems that Iraq will never do anything---keep using our USD Sure, we could all get upset about this event not taking place in "our" time frames, but it does little good, so let's look at the good the RV may have already done. For the truely desparate, (those who may have lost everything the past few years) the RV has become a source of HOPE (some say it's a virtual drug) to help get them over the misery of their poverty stricken everyday lives. This may be seen as a way to rebuild their lost lives when nothing else is working out in these challenging times. Even with the daily beat-downs they may be experiencing, at least they have ONE positive thing they can look forward to in the hope of one day being able to have something again. This simple thought of hope may be the only thing that's helping to hold them together and keeping them going when everything around them is telling them to give up (or worse). Can you see that this may be one of the reasons that these people blindly follow the daily guru-krap even if it's 100% wrong because they DON'T CARE if the guru's are wrong as much as it is their desire to HOPE for a better future. The beauty of a better day (someday) is better than no hope at all, so what's that worth? I say a LOT!!! So, while many of us are living in fustration over all the delays, rates & dates and wondering IF the RV will ever take place, there are others living in a different RV Experience where it is better to just have hope than nothing at all. For them, the RV is not so much an investment event, but rather a State Of Mind. Hopefully, there's something in this post to consider and hold on to here when you're feeling exasperated. State of Mind. Exactly! I use it as hope. I also have my wood carving business, my teaching and my novel project as hope as well. I don't have all my eggs in one basket. The hope can run out for the place in my heart the dinar holds if they LOP, but it will have been great while it lasted!
