Althought it sounds very nice, MAliki has freely used this word for the past several months. His defination of Sovereign is not exactly the UN's definition. Even Hilary used this word last summer ....

They have used Sovereignty, but to come out an say country is free of problems, and its not with Kuwait, don't think that would be wise. Just thinking it wouldn't!! IMO

Another version of this article We can’t freeze Iraq on Arab, int’l arena to solve one problem – PM

2/25/2012 7:25 PM

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said on Saturday that Iraq is a complete sovereign and independent state thanks to Iraqis’ awareness and their responsibility, underling that Iraq’s Arab and international position can’t be freeze for solving a certain problem.

“We can’t just freeze Iraq’s Arab and international position for just solving a certain problem, there is no country without problems.

Internal problems can be solved internally,” al-Maliki said in a statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

Al-Maliki’s statements came during his meeting in Baghdad with an Iraqi think-tank group, named the Iraqi Group for Strategic Studies.

The summit will be preceded by a meeting for Arab economy ministers on March 27 and Arab foreign ministers on March 28.

Earlier in February, AL Deputy Secretary General Ahmed bin Helli announced during his visit to Iraq that Baghdad will host the Arab summit on March 29.

The Arab summit was initially scheduled to be held in Baghdad in 2011, but was postponed to March 2012 due to the unrest in the region.
