Thanks Yota...This all sounds great...The thing that's got me is Iraq can't go international until the UN releases them from Chapter 7 and  the UN and WTO approves Iraq's compliance of Article 8...Granted Iraq has met the final conditions of Article 8 last week with Kuwait but the UN hasn't released Iraq from Chapter 7 yet to become Article 8 compliant (by the UN and WTO) to make them eligible to trade internationally...

Morning skeet, I believe this announcement will be in the not to distant future. The liberation of Mosul is one of the, if not the final peace of the puzzle imo along with a fully operational electrical grid. Happy New Year to ya brother :tiphat:

....Thanks Wiljor, I had included the electoral policies you've mentioned in your rebuttal but deleted from my post as it seemed to rambal-on to my narrative...I'm glad you mentioned the electrical-grid as I consider this one of the most essential policies that will directly benefit the wellbeing of every Iraqi citizen...We take electrical capabilities for granted and do not appreciate the full ramifications associated with the magnitude this unique source of power contains in the ability to transform the quality of life...Happy New Year to you my Friend, I wish only the best for you and yours....:twothumbs:

Why do people and country's borrow money? Because they're broke. I got to say, it bothers me that we're pumping yet another billion dollars into Iraq. I can't see anything good about this at all.

This "broke" country has had an ongoing war within its boundaries for well over a decade, ending with the war against ISIS.... But other then that it has so much promise, and on so many levels it's stupid. 12,000 archeological sites on its soil, gold beneath it's sands, sweet earth to be tilled, and of course the oil...... not to mention this is the "cradle of civilization"!! And today we watch as its new leader brings this lost and forgotten wasteland back into the 21st century. It is the current leadership that gives us so much hopium these days. Otherwise, as we witnessed with Maliki, it is like a headless chicken running around in the barnyard..... or running to Iran so they could tell him what to do...

GM Yota ! And to all my friends at DV. I know that Hikmah has some concerns as do we all. The truth is that Iraq is a war torn nation ! The truth is Iraq has the inground resources to recover ! I believe that Iraq was bought and paid for,  not only from the trillions of dollars it cost the USA but by the loss of  the 5'000 + lives of our American soldiers. At this point the USA is in too deep to just walk away. Iraq sits right dab in the middle of the Middle East ! All one has to do is to open your eyes and know that the Holy war has already began ! The only way that we can hope to have a chance at curtailing Radical Islamic Extremists is to keep a stable region from which to fight them from, another words their very own backyard. If the USA was to say f__k it ! And walk away, some other entity would just walk in and exploit there riches and give these Jihahist all the money that they ever needed and wanted to carry out their evil adjendas. As long as we can keep these extremist groups far away, the World will have to learn how to deal with the Lone Wolf's instead of a whole damn army of these bastard's.

***/// They're building credit... big international credit....

Borrow, make the payments, build that International rating for themselves...

proving they are worthy of investment, that they're stable... and can re-pay because they're solvent,

lots of collateral -- oil, etc.... ;)

And some to pay off outstanding debts that are keeping them from being released -- Chapter this, Chapter that, Kuwait damages,

their debt to US for helping them with Sadaam...  that sort of thing.....

I believe Iraq is an exercise is nation building. I would go so far as to say Iraq is the first corporate state. I think in the end Iraq will be owned by the multi-nationals. There is simply too many resources for the greedy not to have control. JMHO
