It should be noted that Iraq had previously submitted an application to join the Bank in April 2018, and the Board of Governors approved its membership in October 2020. The process of transitioning to becoming a contributing member has now been completed. As a shareholder, Iraq can apply to benefit from the financial and political support provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Really makes no sense. With all they seem to be able to do with their currency, why RV????? Not being negative but for all of us that see all this progress and things happening for the good of the country and yet, no currency change OR going international...... If I were one of these entities working with Iraq, I would be questioning the currency or is it just not relevant.......
