I can't wait for this RV to happen. Going back to Ft. Worth is going to be at the top of my list of places to go. In fact, Texas in general.  Only been once, back in August 2008. Fell in love with TX,  We went to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and also had to go to Stephenville.

Never quite ready to commit, are they ..  After all their years of foot-dragging, I’m honestly surprised the protesters haven’t burned the whole place down by now.

During his hosting of the program  (Shortest Roads)  presented by Dr. Nabil Jassem on Al Sharqiya News Channel, Al-Halbousi said, "The constitutional process forced us to choose a prime minister within a month, as well as the pressures that the country is going through, which requires the formation of a full-fledged government, and there should be an awareness of the forces Political formation of the government. "

He added that "the government should be a government of parties and not individuals, so that each party bears responsibility for the failure of any minister in it, and we support a strong government adopted by the political forces, the circumstances of the country are now abnormal until the attendance of representatives to the session of granting confidence will not be the usual way, the previous years and sessions were the Shiite forces A candidate came forward, adopted him, stood behind him, and went for an understanding from everyone with Adel Abdul Mahdi. The compromise was, and adoption is now not in the formula that occurred in previous periods.

He revealed why he supported al-Kazimi's candidacy for prime minister, explaining, "I believe in the unified person in the field, Mr. Al-Kazemi is in the middle of the suffering that the country is going through and he is the son of the field. As for Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, whom we objected to is a consensual option from abroad and came from outside and not a field man."

Al-Halbousi continued, "Al-Kazimi's tools for success are more and his international relations are good, and it is possible that we can help us in the economic crisis that the country is going through."

Concerning the salaries of employees, Al-Halbousi stressed that "there is no trend in parliament to cut the salaries of employees," noting that "their salaries are secure and cannot be deducted unless there is a new law." We went because our daughter had been accepted at Tarleton State University. She changed her mind about going to school there at the last minute. We had already planned the trip, so we just turned it into a vacation.   Had a great time.  Can't wait to go back.

I also have some good "internet friends", I've made over the years, and want to be able to meet them in person. These are people I've known since the early 2000's, before dinar.  We will have to meet when/if this thing ever happens. My hubby retired last year, and we want to travel.

The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, announced that he had received a letter from a party saying it was affiliated with the American embassy.

Al-Maliki said in a tweet on his account on Twitter followed by Al-Mirbad, "I received a message from a party claiming that it is affiliated with the American ambassador. ".

Politician Izzat Shabandar tweeted on Monday evening, warning that parliamentarians will submit to the threat they received from the American ambassador if they did not vote for Al-Kazemi’s government.

Iraqi bloggers launch an attack on Shabandar for forging a clear message in the name of the US embassy whose purpose is clear

Baghdad - Iraq today:

A number of activists and bloggers launched a violent attack on the well-known politician Izzat Shabandar, accusing him of falsifying a message bearing the name of the American embassy in Baghdad, presumably directed at the Shiite forces, and in which it threatened them with severe penalties if Moab did not vote for the Kazemi government tomorrow and pass it in the parliament session, which is a hint It is clear to provoke the Iraqi street because of the sensitivity the street holds against the American embassy in particular, and the American presence in general, which is a chord that the Shabandar is trying to play on.

Blogger Walid Al-Tai, one of those angry bloggers, wrote a Tweet on Twitter that made fun of the (weak) English language in which this letter was written, accusing him of trying to irritate the street.

As the Nashid Muhammad Al-Nasiri (Post) wrote on Facebook, he addresses the Shabandar saying:

(When did Izzat Al-Shabandar be ashamed and embarrassed of his gray hair, and when did he stop producing scandals and committing shameful things, even though he was seventy years old) ?!

The sources close to the meeting stated that the Sunni and Kurdish blocs formally informed Al-Kazemi to attend the session on Tuesday and pass the cabin, after the agreement that was concluded with Haji Hadi al-Amiri, al-Sabd Muqtada al-Sadr, al-Sayyid, Ammar al-Hakim, and Haider al-Abadi

The consensus came after changing the names that were the object of the blocs, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the ambassador and former deputy minister Nizar al-Khairallah were chosen as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Al-Kazemi government and the choice of Juma Anad as Minister of Defense and Othman al-Ghanmi as Minister of Interior

Member of the House of Representatives for the Hussein Arab will movement confirmed today, Monday, that the session of granting confidence to Mustafa Al-Kazemi Ministerial Cabinet will be held in the large hall for health protection.

Arab said in a press statement, "The venue of the session will be in the conference hall within Parliament, due to its large size and there will be a distance between each deputy and another for health protection."

Arabs seemed comfortable with the passing of the government with "the continuation of some problems, especially some ministries, whether in terms of being from the share of this or that party, or objecting to the personalities nominated for it," he said, "it is likely that these differences will be resolved because they are not completely fundamental."

On Monday, al-Amiri's al-Fatah coalition pledged passing the cabinet to Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kazemi by changing some candidates.

In a statement to the official agency, seen by Nass (May 4, 2020), the coalition’s deputy, Sanaa al-Musawi, said that “some of the names nominated in the cabinet of Al-Kazemi have suspicions and accusations of external links,” stressing that “the political blocs will not pass the ministerial cabinet unless Some candidates are changed. "

Moussawi stressed "the need to choose candidates who are able to withstand the crises the country is going through."

The Sayeron bloc had revealed the political blocs' objection to some of the names nominated in the cabinet, presented by Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kazimi.

The MP, from the Saeron Burhan al-Maamouri Coalition, told the official agency, and its follower, "NAS" (May 4, 2020), "The political blocs objected to some of the names nominated for not conforming to the established criteria."

He added that "the criteria agreed upon in the nomination mechanism include competence, independence, impartiality and acceptability," explaining that "the bloc of Sairon has given Al-Kazemi the freedom to choose his cabinet according to the specified criteria."

He pointed out that "the political blocs stressed the importance of the taxpayer sending a full cabinet to the House of Representatives."

On Monday, the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, reiterated his coalition's position not to vote on the cabinet minister Al-Kazemi’s ministerial assignment.

Al-Maliki said in a press statement followed by "Nass" (4 May 2020) that "the political project for the rule of law confirms the establishment of a strong and qualified government to assume historical responsibility in front of the Iraqi people and firmly and willingly to address the serious challenges facing our country in various fields."

He pointed out that "our decision not to vote for the government never means that a coalition of the rule of law will not deal positively with any positions and decisions that serve the supreme interests of the Iraqi people, provided that it does not prevent at the same time that the coalition of the state of law declares its opposition to any positions and measures that contradict the national interest and the sovereignty and independence of Iraq." .

On Sunday, the State of Law Coalition denied its decision to boycott the cabinet of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi and the voting session on it in the portfolio of the Ministry of Interior.

The leader of the coalition, Hassan al-Sunaid, said in a statement, "People" received a copy of it, (May 3, 2020). Interior Ministry bag. "

Al-Sunaid confirmed that "the rule of law coalition objected to the mechanism of forming the ministry and its nominations," pointing out that "the coalition did not present any candidate for any ministerial portfolio during the negotiations."

The State of Law coalition headed by Nuri al-Maliki confirmed on Tuesday that his return from his previous position of not supporting the government of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kazimi depends on the latter's response in forming the government according to correct, fair, efficient and non-controversial choices.

Al-Rikabi added, “The coalition has distanced itself from the nomination of any minister and our goal is to be the ministerial cabinet different from its predecessors in terms of composition and arrangement according to one "ruler" that applies to everyone and not to allow another mass and restriction, "denying" what was reported that the withdrawal was caused by the dispute between the rule of law and victory over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

A source reveals the number of parliamentarians present in Baghdad before the "session of confidence"

kazme-23455.jpg

4th May, 2020

On Monday, a parliamentary source revealed that more than 200 lawmakers were present in Baghdad, as the voting session for granting confidence to the Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi approached

The source said to Shafak News that "the number of deputies currently in Baghdad exceeds 200 deputies (out of 329)," noting that "members of parliament from the Kurdistan Region, Basra Governorate and other provinces arrived this evening to Baghdad Airport

He added that "the attendance of the deputies to Baghdad came after the invitation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, members of Parliament to attend, in preparation for holding a session of granting confidence to the government of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi

The Iraqi Council of Representatives announced Monday that it will hold the special session to consider giving confidence to the Al-Kazemi government next Wednesday evening

For the government to obtain the confidence of Parliament, an absolute majority (50 percent + 1) is required for the number of members present (not the total number) to grant confidence

The constitutional deadline before Al-Kazemi ends on May 9th, amid the expansion of the circle of opponents to pass his government in the past few days, after he was initially supported by the vast majority of political blocs

In the event that Al-Kazemi obtains confidence from the parliament, the new government will succeed the government of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who resigned in early December 2019 under pressure from popular protests calling for the departure and accountability of the political class accused of corruption and waste of state funds

He added that "the democratic construction in the country has really strengthened now and the era ended in which the ministries were presented in a public bazaar and granted not the basis of independence and efficiency, but on the basis of partisanship, side loyalties

The citizen Muhammad Ali praised the Shiite blocs that succeeded in encircling their differences and stopping the conspiracies that were hatched for the failure to pass this retaliatory government, stressing that such an option was in response to the aspirations and desire of the Iraqi people and the supreme authority that called for the formation of an Iraqi government that met the aspirations of its uprising people.

He noted that if the government is formed and solutions are provided to minority issues such as resolving the file of the displaced and protecting the minorities in real terms on the ground, we will support the government, but if our issues are not resolved, then we will have another position, stating as Iraqis that the country’s interest in achieving security, returning the displaced, meeting the demands of the demonstrators and preserving On the sovereignty of the country and providing job opportunities, we will not be against the government project.
As for the government curriculum, MP Al-Yazidi said that the lesson in the results and implementation is the government program, although its beautiful phrases are devoid of details, and the government curriculum reading committee worked out important details for it, stressing that the parliament will give confidence to the government program in the session of granting confidence.

CNN. Broadcasting A Green Light For The Kazemi Camel Motorcade To Proceed !

The official newspaper talks about the scenes of the "decisive" meeting of the Shiite forces: a green light for the person charged

      2020.04.29 - 10:33

      People - Baghdad

The official newspaper, Wednesday, shed light on the developments of the file of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi, noting that the taxpayer has made good progress.
The newspaper "Al-Sabah" indicated in a report that was followed by "NAS" today (April 29, 2020), that Al-Kazemi "received a green light to present his government program in preparation for submitting his cabinet to Parliament."
The following is the text of the report:
Parliamentary sources confirmed that the Prime Minister-designate, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, had gone a long way with understandings regarding the cabinet, and that the Shiite blocs had given him the green light to present his program and the cabinet to Parliament and the request for a special confidence-granting session early next week.
While the State of Law coalition and Sadiqin bloc denied identifying specific names in the next government, the independent deputy, Basem Al-Khashan, pointed out that most of the political blocs imposed names in Al-Kazemi’s booth, and drew Kurdish MP Ala Talabani, that political forces sought to force Al-Kazemi to accept their terms in the distribution of ministerial portfolios.
Jassim al-Bakhati, a deputy for the al-Hikma movement, said in a press statement: "Although the current was absent from the meeting of the Shiite political blocs, which ended late Monday night, but its position remains consistent in support of the Prime Minister-designate and with the Shiite consensus in the issue of distribution of the cabin Ministerial while remaining reservations about its mechanisms. "
Al-Bukhati added, “The meeting of the Shiite political forces in which everything related to the cabinet cabinet and electoral spaces was decided, and it was agreed to cooperate to cross the stage,” noting that “the messages that we received from within the meeting were positive about passing the next government.”
A parliamentary source confirmed that the meeting of the Shiite political forces yesterday evening gave the green light to the Prime Minister-designate to present his program and the cabinet to Parliament and submit a request to hold the voting session early this next week.
In the context, the deputy of the Iraqi Forces Alliance, Muhammad al-Karbouli, said in a press statement that "everyone is still supportive of the Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kazimi, but the problem lies in the distribution of quotas, where the dispute is now concentrated," noting that "al-Kazimi is going inside Parliament."
He added, "Al-Kazemi is now in the process of settling his differences with the Shiite blocs, which seem to have come a good way in the framework of the understandings."
However, the MP from the Alliance of Alliance Badr Al-Ziyadi believes, in a press statement, that Al-Kazemi failed from the beginning and did not benefit from his predecessors in forming the government, when he went towards the quota system and gave freedom to some political blocs to choose names to obtain ministerial positions in his government, and therefore was rejected The government formation by most of the Shiite component blocs.
Al-Ziyadi added that Al-Kazemi’s position became difficult because he could not choose an integrated ministerial cabinet, indicating that in the coming days his position will be very difficult.
Al-Ziyadi indicated that the prime minister-designate has two paths before him: either he goes toward choosing an independent booth and therefore will be rejected by political blocs that are still seeking to obtain the spoils and positions according to the quotas, or towards "apology".
While Kurdish MP Ala Talabani drew, that "some blocs cling to some positions and ministries and put a veto on some of the candidates, and work to impede the formation of the government," noting that "I do not think that the blocs want to overthrow Al-Kazemi, as was done with his predecessors (Adnan Al-Zrafi and Muhammad Allawi), But she wants to submit it to her conditions, and that the price of her approval for him to accept the conditions dictated to him. "
And apparently in response to the political blocs imposing their conditions on Al-Kazemi, the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, said in a statement received by "Al-Sabah": "The media space is witnessing irresponsible words and incorrect news about the formation of the government," stressing, "We have made with others and we are still, Intensive efforts to produce a coherent government that is truly representative of the interests of Iraq and capable of responding to crises with an efficient professional team. "
Al-Maliki added that "the coalition of the rule of law continues with the partners in accomplishing this difficult task, but we are really told, we did not nominate any minister to any ministry, and the assigned brother asked us to participate in the nomination, but we refused that, and we said frankly, what matters to us is that the government Powerful and capable of assuming its constitutional responsibilities, and the ministry and the site do not interest us as much as the ministerial formation concerns us. "
In the context, the representative of the Sadiqin bloc Saad Shaker Al-Khazali confirmed, in a press statement, that "the bloc will not be represented in the meetings of the political leaders with the Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi after she and the other Al-Fateh forces authorized its leader, Al-Amiri," noting that "the Sadiqin did not impose any Conditions or specify specific names for Al-Kazemi in his next booth. "
Khazali added that "the Al-Fateh Alliance is the most visible political bloc, due to the existence of a unified vision for all the regular forces under the Alliance, as well as having a clear vision for the next transitional period, especially his eagerness to commit to holding early elections."
In the meantime, the MP of the Kurdistan National Union bloc, Dylan Ghafour Salih, pledged the Kurdish position towards Al-Kazimi's booth, with the results of the Shiite house negotiations with him, stating that the Kurds are dealing with the formation of the government according to what others will deal with. But if the other blocs do not demand the nomination of specific persons, we will deal with the same framework.
Saleh added, in an interview with "Al-Sabah", that the Kurds will not be a factor of destabilization or a problem in the formation of the government, but will go to the way the rest of the partners deal and wait for the results of the consultations inside the Shiite house, explaining that if the prime minister-designate chooses anyone for a specific ministry according to his measurements and with approval The political blocs without their interference in the choice will not have the Kurdish component any objection, but if the blocs interfere, demanded their ministerial entitlements, the Kurds will demand exactly the same.
