Pitcher
US troops deployed to clash against Iranian militias in Iraq: Report FacebookTwitterGoogle+EmailWhatsApp US troop reinforcements were deployed in Iraq on Wednesday, March 6 for an offensive by Iraq’s two largest pro-Iranian militias against US forces in northern Iraq and Syria, Debka website reported. The report added that the US command in the region estimates that US troops in eastern and southern Syria as well as the US bases near the Syrian border are at risk, as both Kata’ib Hezbollah and Asaib Ahl al-Haq militias have been deployed by their commander, Al Qods chief Gen. Qassem Solemani, to positions in Syria. On Thursday, according to Debka, Nessar al-Rab’ee, head of the political wing of the military wing of Iraq’s powerful Sadrist movement, called on parliament in Baghdad for legislation ordering all foreign forces to leave the country, which was considered as a setback. Consequently, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly voiced US concerns in a phone call to Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi. https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/en/Story/37267/US-troops-deployed-to-clash-against-Iranian-militias-in-Iraq-Report 2

mr.unlikely
Not good for our investment. Bad for stability and security. Iran has a million man army. You know those Mullahs will look at every battle lost as an excuse to escalate. I hope this isn’t another downward spiral into some long drawn out conflict that undermines our position In Iraq. With Iran’s already strong influence in Iraqi politics, I’m not getting a good feeling about how this will affect the restructuring of their exchange regime. Looking more like another long delay and American soldiers lives being put at risk and for what? 3 1

I also see this move as inevitable. The pockets of instability are there because of Iran and Iraqs inability to neutralize these activities on their part. The Irannians and their proxy armies have to be made ineffective inside of Iraq. For stability inside Iraq to flourish that is. 2 or 3 skirmishes where we kick their arses and they may think twice about messing with us this time around. And or more skirmishes may drain the rest of the monies they have. "• 4

dinarham
Poor iraq ,they're pawns in a game run by high rollers .Actually not so poor ,with 30 million people ,they could all be millionairs. The innerweb has solidly acquainted the iraqi street of what's out there for them and what is theirs by right . Like a child coming out of a bad bad long experience , they are confused ,but not stupid. The street will get this done ,with help from the high rollers . Common goal is the dough , the cash , the scrilla , the heavy bucks and juice , the stuff that makes the world go 'round . 3
