Al-Alusi warns of parliamentary legislation that meets Iran's "expansionist" needs in Iraq

Al-Alusi warns of parliamentary legislation that meets Iran's "expansionist" needs in Iraq

 Twilight News

The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Umma Party, Mithal al-Alusi, on Thursday warned against passing parliamentary legislation that meets the needs of the Iranian expansionist regime in Iraq.

Al-Alusi told Ashqaf News that "today we are living a campaign of dictations, interference, pressure, extortion, incitement and intimidation with intelligence and militia tools and means." He also reports on the preparations for the appointment of Qassim Soleimani and his militia for a legislative decision to remove US troops, , Which was formulated by the Maliki government and the majority of religious parties, the Iranian fancy and submissive in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, when there was a consensus between the Obama administration and the Iranian regime.

Alusi warned of "attempts to pass legislation that meets the needs of the Iranian regime expansionist in Iraq under the pretext of the removal of foreign forces, which is a fraud and an aggressive measure represents the extent of serious blackmail of the Iranian political process in general and parliamentary work in particular."

"We do not doubt the ability of the militias and their masters to impose such twisted decisions. If this happens, the three presidencies are obliged to protect the country and the political process from this hegemonic terrorist hegemony over the Iraqi legislator and the Iraqi provinces and their executive and legislative powers have the authority and responsibility to protect the land and the citizen. Implement the Iraqi-US agreement to ensure the security and safety of the provinces and citizens. "

Alusi also called on the provinces "to issue a decision not to allow any party to bear arms other than the Iraqi army, security forces and local police, and even to issue a decision to expel all types of suspicious militias."

It is noteworthy that the leader of the Iraqi Umma Party, the example of Alusi did not rule out, on January 15, that the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Major General Qassim Soleimani, a campaign of physical liquidation of the leaders of the "militias" Shiite in Iraq, under conditions imposed by Washington to negotiate with Tehran.

"One of the conditions of America to accept dialogue and negotiation with Iran is to abandon its support to the militias and to hand over the wanted militia leaders to the judiciary," al-Alusi told Asharq Al-Awsat.

"Not surprisingly, we may see arrests of militia leaders in Iraq in cooperation with Iranian intelligence or even their assassination by Qassim Soleimani," he said.

Al-Alusi said that "US messages reached Qasim Soleimani that your head is wanted or handed over to the militia leaders, he could liquidate them soon, and this is not excluded and very likely."

Iraqi sources in Washington, DC, reported that they had obtained a list of "militias". The United States asked Iraq to freeze and withdraw weapons, while Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi asked the US side to give it time to respond.

The list includes 67 armed factions led by the "Badr" led by Hadi al-Ameri, and the group "Asaib Ahl al-Haq", led by Qais al-Khazali.

Now THIS is Getting Good Like REAL Good!!!

Israel bombs the living daylights out of Iran in Iraq protecting Israel from REAL and KNOWN Insanian threats to Israel.

Problem(s) solved!!!

The Insanians are LIKELY far more concerned about ISRAELI threats than The United States Of America threats on a real time tactical basis since Israel is far more attuned to the fight for survival from a very REAL Insanian threat to push Israel into the Mediterranean Sea.

The Insanians are being cornered and are in THEIR death gasps.

Israel will finish THEM off!!!

Buh Bye Insanians!!!

So, Abdul Mahdi said, “We need more time to disarm the 67 Insanian Militias in Iraq.”

TIMEZUP Abdul Mahdi.

Besides, if Israel runs into ANY difficulties, The United States Of America is READY, WILLING, AND ABLE to step in AND fix the “problems”.

My opinion is there are some seeming “time dependencies” while THIS is Good Supporting News!!!

YEAH BABY!!!

In The Mean Time......................

Go Moola Nova (YEAH AND YEE HAW, BABY, READY WHEN YOU ARE BROTHER (OR SISTER) - LET ‘ER BUCK!!!)!!!

Pompeo in Iraq for unannounced

https://thehill.com/policy/international/424495-pompeo-in-iraq-for-unannounced-visit

BY BRETT SAMUELS 01/09/19 08:58 AM EST

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday met with Iraqi leaders in a previously unannounced visit as part of his visit to the Middle East.

He discussed the Trump administration's strategy in Syria and efforts to secure the region.

The State Department said Pompeo met with Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abd al-Mahdi, where the two discussed "the recent territorial defeat of ISIS [the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria] in Syria and the continuation of our cooperation with Iraqi Security Forces to ensure ISIS’s lasting defeat throughout the region."

Pompeo also pressed for Iraq to develop energy independence, something Energy Secretary Rick Perry touched on during a December visit.

The elimination of ISIS and the need for Iraqi energy independence were also the subjects of a meeting between Pompeo and Iraqi President Barham Salih, the State Department said. The two men also discussed U.S. efforts to address Iraq's "political, economic, and security challenges."

Pompeo held a separate meeting with Iraq's Council of Representatives, where the State Department said he underscored the U.S. commitment to its security partnership with Iraqi Security Forces.

Pompeo's visit to Iraq comes just a few weeks after President Trump made a surprise visit to troops there. He did not meet with Iraqi leadership during that trip.

The Secretary of State's meetings come amid shifting language from the Trump administration on its withdrawal from the conflict in Syria. Trump abruptly announced in December that ISIS had been defeated and U.S. troops were "coming home now."

But, since that announcement, the president has tempered his language and national security adviser John Bolton on Sunday said that U.S. forces would not leave Syria until ISIS is fully defeated and the Trump administration receives assurances that U.S.-backed Kurdish fighters will be protected.

Trump later insisted his position on Syria had not changed.

Pompeo will meet with leaders in Egypt later Wednesday.

Iraq in Davos: Pompeo told us that a US withdrawal from Syria in "weeks" .. But turned to the "months"

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi Foreign Minister, speaking at a symposium in Davos on Thursday January 24, 2019, reviewed Iraq's efforts to combat the terrorist organization, saying the military defeat was not enough.

"The terrorist organization has caused great damage to the society and to many Iraqi areas, including Mosul, Salah al-Din, Falluja, Anbar and elsewhere," Hakim said, adding that "the greatest damage was caused by the terrorist organization in Iraqi society and its ethnic diversity, especially in Mosul."

He stressed that "Iraq has succeeded in defeating the organization calling the terrorist in cooperation with the coalition forces to fight the international organization and the Arab world, Iran and Russia militarily, but the problem we face today in the Arab world is a defeat of ideological and whether he will return a new face of violence."

He pointed out that "there is a problem in dealing with detainees from the members of Daqash, seeing Baghdad need to be prosecuted in accordance with Iraqi laws that provide for the death penalty, while under pressure from the United Nations and the European Union to abolish this punishment."

"The wise that the real problem facing Iraq is the issue of women members and children have been delivered to some of the countries that came from Iraq."

Commenting on the resignation of the US envoy to the international coalition Brett McGork, said Hakim, "The decision of US President Donald Trump to withdraw from Syria without consultation surprised us."

"We asked US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during his visit to Iraq about the time period for this withdrawal, and we were told days and weeks and then it turned out that it was months," he said. "We will not be surprised if the decision is reviewed."

"The US withdrawal will affect Iraq, which shares with Syria within the length of 600 kilometers, which need to secure."

"The prime minister sent an envoy to Damascus and asked permission to carry out operations inside the Syrian territory to fight the air strikes and send special forces for limited periods."

"Relations between the Iraqi and Saudi governments are good and the development of these relations is included in the government program," he said.

The Iranian side conveyed to Al-Sabah the Iranian side, which was surprised by the reasons that did not invite Iran as long as the conference discusses developments in the region, especially as Iran is a country concerned with the security and stability of this region and can play an important role in this regard. He said that it was not related to the Polish government as much as to the regulator, the United States, which has no diplomatic relations with Iran, but that did not preclude its acceptance of the transfer of Iran's desire to the American side.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasimi did not confirm or confirm during his press conference on Monday the possibility of inviting his country, but said Tehran had not yet received such an invitation, pointing out that it was not comfortable with the US role in the conference.

In addition to countering financial support for terrorism and terrorist organizations.
Iranian sources told al-Sabah that the agenda, though not including Iran, was the first target in the discussion, especially in light of the Israeli invitation to the conference.
The same sources questioned the ability of the conference to succeed where the EU's External Affairs Coordinator apologized for the participation in the conference, while the level of participation of the countries invited to this conference, which included 79 countries including Israel, EU countries and Arab countries such as the Gulf Cooperation Council Egypt, China and Russia.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Foreign ministers of the international coalition against Da'sh will meet in the US capital on February 6 to discuss the organization's efforts to crack down on the terrorist.

The 79-member coalition, with the participation of Iraq, will meet for in-depth discussions on the defeats suffered by Dahesh, the result of four years of efforts to eradicate it and its terrorist activities.

The ministers, along with US Secretary of State Pompeo, will discuss the next phase of the campaign against terrorism in Iraq and Syria, which will focus on ensuring that there is no renewed return to stability, through stabilization and security assistance in Iraq and Syria.

The ministers will also discuss the next important steps in the deterioration of the networks of Da'ash and its subsidiaries outside of Iraq and Syria.

The US State Department said in a statement: "The United States is determined to prevent a resurgent return from appearing in Syria and Iraq after the withdrawal of US troops from Syria, and will remain committed to working with the international coalition to continue to destroy the remnants of the call and frustrate his global ambitions.

"With a daunting defeat on the battlefield, the coalition will continue its stabilization efforts to facilitate the safe and voluntary return home to those who have been displaced by violence," the statement said.

Acting US Defense Secretary Patrick Chanahan said the restoration of all the territory he had seized in Syria would take place within two weeks.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has announced that more than 10,000 people, mostly women and children, have fled the last controlled enclave in eastern Syria since last Friday, while Syria's democratic forces are besieging the enclave of five to six square kilometers on the Euphrates River.

Baghdad

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will begin a tour of Central Europe on Monday, including Hungary, Slovakia and Poland .

"During his tour, Pompeo seeks to compensate for the lack of US presence that opened the way for greater Chinese and Russian influence in central Europe," Reuters quoted US administration officials as saying .

"The tour will take place in the Polish capital of Warsaw on the Middle East. Washington hopes to form an alliance against Iran, and most of Pompeo's visit to Poland will focus on this conference, which the United States is co-hosting on the 'future of peace and security in the Middle East '

US Vice President Mike Bens will chair the two-day conference, which begins on February 13. Washington hopes to gain support to increase pressure on Iran to end what it calls destructive behavior in the Middle East and to end its nuclear and missile programs .

President Donald Trump withdrew last year from a 2015 deal to curb Iran's nuclear activity, but the EU is determined to stick to the deal .

The nature of the delegations to be sent by European capitals is unclear. White House adviser Jared Kouchner will discuss the US plan for peace between Israelis and Palestinians, although details are unlikely to be given.

Iran expresses its opinion on the holding of the Warsaw Conference

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif of the Warsaw Conference said he was doomed to failure before the conference.

"The Americans were very much interested in holding a conference against the Islamic Republic of Iran in Warsaw, Poland, but they have changed their positions and that is why they changed the title and declared that Iran is not the subject of the conference," Zarif said.

"The Americans have also announced that the vice president will participate in the Warsaw conference, so all indications are that their goals and initial movement have not produced the necessary result," he said.

"America is somehow trying to make up for the climate that is developing against it, so it seems that this conference will not be held according to what the Americans want," he said.

"No Iranian officials have been invited to participate in the conference," he said.

In turn, US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, called in his speech to an open dialogue on all files .

"Iran poses the most serious threat in the Middle East, and the world can not achieve peace and security in the Middle East without confronting Iran. This is not possible, " he said.
