Newspaper: 3 reasons to prevent political parties from reaching a decisive understanding on the formation of the next government

In policy  July 3, 2018 on the newspaper: 3 reasons prevent political parties from reaching a decisive understanding on the formation of the next government closed 22 visits

Baghdad / SNG - A senior leader of the Sadrist movement, on Tuesday, that there are 3 reasons to prevent political parties from reaching a crucial understanding on the formation of the next government, indicating that the alliances announced initially did not develop into details between the parties.

"There are three reasons why the Iraqi political parties are unable to reach a consensus," he told a news conference on July 3, 2018. A crucial understanding on the new government, and the first reason, the final ratification of the election results, which will take some time, after the controversy surrounding the integrity of the elections, and push the Iraqi judiciary to take over the review.

He added that "the second reason is to remove the list of candidates for the presidency of the new government, and insist on understanding on the government program, not people, and this is what other parties do not want, which prefer to resolve the name of the candidate to form a government, before going into other details .

The third reason, according to the same spokesman, concerns the adherence of Abadi to run for a second term in the post of Prime Minister, where the Sadr leader said that "Sadr does not reject the candidacy of Abadi, but disturbed by his insistence on resolving this issue first .

The newspaper pointed out that the political negotiations between the winners of the Iraqi general elections held last May, and still under review, the results have been in place in the absence of achieving the negotiating teams that meet constantly, any progress on the formation of the new government, noting that Iraq entered the legislative vacuum after That the mandate of the elected parliament ended in 2014 and became the government led by Haider Abadi, alone in the hands of implementation and control.

For his part, an Iraqi legal expert put the government of Abadi currently, "the status of the government of a State under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations in terms of limited powers and need for intermediaries to ensure certain tasks such as the import of necessary materials from abroad," and expected to continue this situation for a period not less than Three months .

As for the position of Tehran from the negotiations to form a new Iraqi government, the newspaper quoted a leading member of the stream of wisdom, led by Ammar al-Hakim, saying that "Iran has clear guarantees about the representation of its influence strongly in the new Iraqi government, even if the candidate for the presidency supported by Moqtada al-Sadr, "Iran understands that the results of the elections do not allow one or two of the five Shiite winners - Sadr, Amiri, Abadi, Maliki and Hakim - to form the government, and none of their opponents in the Shiite political milieu, if any, They are not Qalqilya " .

The leader of the current wisdom, he said that "if Amiri was not representative of Iran's influence in the new government, it will be Maliki, and perhaps both or others," adding that "the reason for the cold political atmosphere in Iraq is the absence of Iranian pressure on the Iraqi parties to resolve the file of the new government . "

"Iran is now preoccupied with its crisis with the United States, and it is not unlikely that Iraq and its complex political situation will now become a card in its tug-of-war game with Washington," he said .

It is worth mentioning that the coalition of "Asron" led by Moqtada al-Sadr, winner of the first place in the elections, announced earlier, an understanding with the leader of the National List Iyad Allawi and the leader of the wisdom movement Ammar al-Hakim, and then alliance with the list of opening, led by Hadi Amiri, To an agreement with the list of "victory" led by Haider Abadi

The overall counting of ballots could be done early next week, ratified by the judges in a few days, and at that point the GOI has to be in place within 15 days, if I recall correctly.   The quote "... pointing out that “the formation of the next government It will take less than five months. ”

may refer to getting all of the cabinet heads and departments, new employees (all the corrupt GOI hired accomplices heading and working in government offices that need to be fired or jailed) etc. to form a new government in less than five months. The GOI, and its presidents are not all of government.

Iraq's Sunni leaders fail to unite in a unified alliance

Abadi fails to hold the upcoming National Gathering because of Shiite objections

Bright Resan

Baghdad: Al-Quds Al-Arabi: The leaders of the Sunni forces in Iraq failed to unify their political position and form a "united coalition", which has the task of negotiating with the other Shiite and Kurdish leaders on forming a new government.
According to a source for «Al-Quds Al-Arabi», the meeting held between the outgoing Speaker of the Parliament Salim al-Jubouri, and the head of the party of peace Gamal Karbouli, and the leader of the Arab enterprise businessman Khamis Khanjar, and the President of the coalition of decision, Osama Najafi, in addition to the leadership of the coalition, Zafer al-Ani, and a number of other Sunni figures, did not succeed in unifying the Sunni House.
According to the source, who preferred not to be identified, the size of the dispute between the names mentioned, contributed to the creation of "two fronts" within the Sunni component, pointing at the same time to reach an agreement to "settle" the issue of counting and counting manual in the northern and western provinces, Without affecting the seats obtained by each bloc, according to the announced results.
But Jubouri described the meeting held in Istanbul last June as "accidental," denying that it was part of any "sectarian formation."
"The meeting held in the Turkish city of Istanbul was accidental and did not lead to anything," a statement from the Jubouri office said. "Meetings between political leaders are continuing in Baghdad to crystallize common goals that will facilitate the process of forming the next government."
In the meantime, local media quoted a source as "knowledgeable" saying that "a number of Sunni leaders agreed to form an alliance bearing the name of the national axis," noting that «this alliance includes six Sunni leaders», according to «Alsumaria News» . According to the source, who asked not to be named, the number of seats in this alliance is 47 seats, referring to «not to name a president of the coalition».
He added: "The political program of the National Axis Alliance, aims to return the displaced to their cities immediately, and release prisoners and know the fate of the abductees, and release and compensation for their families, in addition to the withdrawal of military crowds other than the army and police from some northern and western provinces. He pointed out that «the program also included the reconstruction of the provinces affected by the military operations against the organization of the state».
The Sunni forces were divided according to the results of the legislative elections on three blocs, namely the "solution" led by Gamal al-Karbouli, with about 30 seats in the new parliament, the "decision coalition" led by Osama Najafi and the patronage of businessman Khamis al-Khanjar. Anbar, Baghdad, Nineveh and other provinces, and won 15 seats in the Iraqi parliament.
The third political bloc of the Sunni Iraqis is the National Alliance led by Iyad Allawi. It won 20 seats, among them Saleh al-Mutlaq and Salim al-Jubouri, while more than 10 seats in parliament were distributed to candidates in the lists of al-Nasr led by Haider al-Abadi. Led by former Defense Minister Khalid al-Obeidi, as well as "Surun" led by Moqtada al-Sadr, and "conquest" led by Hadi al-Amiri.
Thus, the Sunni House split into two fronts, the first headed by the head of the National Coalition Iyad Allawi, and his team, while the second front is headed Khamis Khanjar with his supporters.

No national meeting

In the capital Baghdad, the Iraqi prime minister, leader of the "victory" coalition, Haider al-Abadi, failed to hold the "national meeting of the whole" due to "Shiite" objections.
A member of the coalition «victory» Abdul Faisal Sahlani, told «Arab Jerusalem», that «there are a lot of Shiite blocs (not named) who objected to the convening of the expanded conference called by Abbadi», while stressing «postpone the conference», hinted that the possibility that Has been "canceled".
He explained the reasons for the objection, noting that: «Objectors see that they do not need a national conference, but we need to return to the electoral benefits achieved in the last legislative elections (held on 12 May last)».
A member of the coalition «victory», that all meetings and meetings between political leaders interspersed with talk about «quotas and positions in the next government», pointing at the same time that Abadi «wants to overcome the current plight, and stand up to everyone in front of national and regional challenges. "We need a general national position that sets the basic criteria for leadership positions."
"The rhetoric that prevailed before the elections was to reject sectarianism and to embody the national spirit, but it changed after the elections, and we returned to square one," said Sahlani, a member of the drafting committee and a former deputy.
"After 2003, it was agreed that the Shiites would choose a prime minister without the Sunni or Kurdish opposition to the candidate. In contrast, the Shiites and Kurds would not interfere in the Sunni candidate for the presidency of the parliament. This is one of the bad achievements of the political process after 2003 ».
He felt that «there is nothing to prevent the prime minister from any component if he has the ability and competence to manage the Council of Ministers».

They need to get this reconstruction and infrastructure started now because there is an abundance of pressure from both outside and inside the country including the assets now pouring into the CBI. And all reforms now need to be complete . Alak and the CBI are moving forward Extremely Well . They have the worlds attention now. Looks like we are on the down slope of things and the politicians trying to hold back will not be able to do so . Iran is even telling them to not fight so much with the election outcome . We're going down hill and most everything vitally important  is now in our favor . Too much weight to stop it .......

I think that is a very accurate assessment, BlueSkyLine, AND The Best Of The Rest Of Your 4th Of July AND The Rest Of Your Week To You!!!

:tiphat:

The longer progress halts, the more the natives get restless as well as entities stirring the pot in Iraq to attempt to inflame Sectartian Violence and Civil War!!!

I could be way off but waiting five months for the new GOI before beginning the reconstruction, construction, economic development, and foreign investment just isn’t going to cut it and the current gains to date could erode. Iran could also be using “creative means” to circumvent their upcoming sanctions that likely include financial activities in Iraq. I suspect the confiscated funds entering Iraq originated  from Iran. Loading up the CHUNKAE’ MONAE’ in Iraq could dilute the strength of the reinstatement or revalue of the Iraqi Dinar. With the financial restrictions on Iran, Iran likely will not benefit from their Iraqi Dinar and could be why the Iraqi Dinar is being smuggled into Iraq to attempt to utilize other financial avenues to benefit from the Iraqi Dinar reinstatement or revaluation. Why would any country NOT want to hold their Iraqi Dinar for when the Iraqi Dinar reinstates or revalues? Look at us. Are any of us smuggling our Iraqi Dinar into Iraq???!!! WHY would we do THAT???!!! So, I suspect Iran is attempting to play really dirty with the Iraqi Dinar reinstatement or revalue. I would not be surprised if more Iraqi Dinar being “confiscated” from “militias” or “terrorist groups” shows up in the Iraqi news as the new GOI congeals. I think confiscating the Iraqi Dinar smuggled into Iraq would be really, really good news for us.

Just my conjecture, thoughts, opinion, and :twocents: for whatever THAT is worth!!! CAVEAT EMPTOR, Reader!!! :o
