Synopsis
Looks like the finance minister, Zebari, is out of there as well as the current oil minister, Mahdi. With the old corruption and very powerful guards of finance and oil removed, the other dominoes may fall pretty fast. In another recent news article posted today, Obama may call for more troops to aid in liberating Mosul. Is this really the intended mission of these additional troops? Maybe time will tell and future articles may be interesting!

mr.unlikely
Okay Abadi went to parliament with his list. They agreed on the list. Monday he will give parliament their biographies/ resumes. Parliament will then peruse the files for a week. Then, 10 days from now they vote on the names. That is only if there is no controversy over any of the names, which , I believe have been submitted once to make sure everyone was okay with all of the names so that wouldn't happen. I'm scratching my turban trying to figure out why parliament needs a week if they know enough about these guys already to be okay with the names on the list in the first place. Arrrggghhh!

mr.unlikely
Sadr ain't playin around. It seems like Abadi and Sadr want the same things. I swear they are playing good cop bad cop with this thing. I bet Sadr has no intention of calling for a vote of confidence on the Prime Minister. Him and Abadi probably have this thing scripted to push these slugs in parliament to keep the ball rolling. Not that Sadr couldn't take it to a whole nother level if he needed to, but the way it stands right now Is that Abadi has the will of the people by proxy. Next week he should hit parliament with the next round of names to try and layer in the "study" time on their biographies. I must say though, after reading that article on Huff post today, it is clear to me that the corruption reaches to some of the highest levels of gov. Banking and private sectors. Big changes need to be made before we see any significant change in the value of the dinar. IMHO of course. In three months though, things could look a whole lot different. We wait and see, and probably wait some more

I think that the plan was to put Zebari back in his position as foreign minister, anyway, that is his forte and what he does better than anyone in Iraq. He was placed in that finance minister position by Abaidi a few months ago with the understanding that it was only temporary. In this new technocrat cabinet, the goal is to place people in positions that is their specific areas of expertise. If I am not mistaken, Zebari hails from Kurdistan.
new york kevin
See, another 10 days then vote if they definitely maybe agree on all of them. Does anyone know what is happening with the package of Anti-corruption Laws Abadi has been promoting? Passed, not passed, still examining? I know Maliki is way out of power, but having embezzled hundreds of billions of USD, and still advocating on his own behalf, who is to say that he won't spend a couple a hundred million to develop artificial objections just to delay with hopes of being able to remain living as a free man.
