Seems like the ongoing saga of " should I stay or should I go ". If true this could be the wrench thrown in the cog and things could come to a screeching halt in attempting to better the relations between Erbil and Baghdad.  :peace:

I basically just posted the same thing on another topic, but anyone that thinks the HCL is just around the corner needs to do a status check with the Kurds. There is definitely something or some things that they are not in agreement with with the current form of the HCL, and that hasn't changed since Abadi came onboard.

Smoke. Abadi hasn't done all this work to cut the Kurds out. After seeing everything he has done he wouldn't do such a thing. That goes against what he's all about and trying to accomplish for his country.

Look at a map and surrounding countries, and tell me that Kurdistan would survive being on their own. The only way Kurdistan would survive would be with American backing and American bases in Erbil. IMO this is bluster, or just flat propaganda to stir the pot. A stirred pot is never settled, and a moving hand defeats the eye.

The pressure is actually a good thing for us, just sit back and relax, we are close...........not saying they will never split off in the future, but there will be increased value in the dinar long before they do.............what would the kurds do without the dinar ???............it would take years for them to have there own new currency, that is not something they can make happen overnight, international laws would reqiure a long drawn out process and they know it....................the dinar increase is in the kurds best interest as well as the GOI.

This just sounds like pressure being added to try and make them react .   Maybe T's Brother is right we are just looking at political drama.

Agreed Deb.    Abadi isn't gonna let this happen.   He's come too far to let this fall apart.

I agree as well. They have come too far. Also other countries that have supported Iraq, would not take to kindly to supporting one over the other. The will support a unified Iraq only.
