said the commander of the second Elite Forces Lieutenant General Sami Arda Saturday that "five neighborhoods separated by anti - terrorism forces from military duties on the right side of the city of Mosul."
 

According Arda told {Euphrates News} that "anti - terrorism forces came close to ending the military tasks in the right side of the city of Mosul , where, remained five neighborhoods only in front of the northern and southern Alrthln, to be declared the tasks assigned to the end of it in Ayman Mosul." 
He noted the second commander of the elite forces to " the possibility of the contribution of troops after the completion of its tasks in support of the federal police forces and freeing the remaining neighborhoods have." 
He noted that " the security forces advanced remarkably over the past week." 
The commander of the fight against terrorism , a Lieutenant - General Abdul - Ghani al - Asadi, told {Euphrates News} last week by editing Tanak neighborhood, as well as new approaches in the fight against terrorist gangs Daesh forcing them to leave the areas and not to shelter civilians.

An official security source said today that the joint military pieces began to open a new hub in the right side of the city of Mosul. 

The source said in a press statement that the joint military segments consisting of (anti - terrorism, federal police, rapid response, and Armored Division IX) went to the west of the city of Mosul Badush area to open a new focus of fighting against al Daesh aims to edit neighborhoods (17 July and the Rifai Mushayrifa and Hermat Hawi and the Church) west of the city.

Minister of Defense, Irfan Hayali, the ratio of only 35% remaining is editor of the right side of the city of Mosul.

Iraqi commander is expected to restore Mosul in May

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - - expect a high-level Iraqi leader to be expelled from the organization of the Islamic state of Mosul in May next May, despite the resistance militants in Alkadimhalmktzh populated city.

The newspaper quoted the official Sunday morning Lt. Gen. Othman al-Ghanemi Chief of Staff of the Iraqi army as saying that the battle will end "within three weeks maximum."

It provides an international coalition led by the United States in support of air and ground attack on major cities in northern Iraq, which fell into the hands of militants in June 2014 in Mosul.

The organization has control over most of the city's neighborhoods since the offensive began in last October and now surrounded by troops in the neighborhoods located north-west of the city, including the historic old city center.

The United Nations believes that up to half a million people are still in the area controlled by the militants in Mosul, including 400 thousand people in the old city with a lack of food and water resources and the lack of hospitals.

The militants are holed up among civilians and usually carry heavy counter-attacks to prevent troops from approaching Nouri mosque in the old city, which declared him the leader of the organization of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a state succession in parts of Iraq and Syria. Mosul is the largest city in the grip of militants in the two countries.

Military sources said today that the commander of the federal police and 18 of the Interior Ministry troops were killed in attacks on two sites at the edge of the old city on Friday.

Federal police recovered two sites Saturday, but the Interior Ministry sacked a senior leader after failing to repel counterattacks, according to sources.

I know what you mean but having been in a few military operations l know you might as well through out the schedule once it begins. Who would think Germany, would take 6 weeks to have France surrender (ok we all did). Not knowing any of the current situation I would say you are fighting the last that are not willing to give in.  I still think May will see closure to Mosul.

I don't believe that 1000 or so terrorist are capable of holding off some 100,000 coalition forces that have all the air power in the world at their disposal. There is something much bigger going on here. 

So don't let yourselves get down at this time. I know that it has been  a long road for most of us and it is far easier to fall victim to self pity and frustration than to look at a challenge in the face with full intent to succeed. And that is because we all know in our hearts that the end of this event we've all been waiting for is so close. Follow what you know in your hearts and your dreams will come to fruition in short order.

Daesh withdrew from Al-Nouri mosque following the progress of the Iraqi forces

"Iraqi forces have made significant progress in the areas around the Great Mosque of Nouri, where the leader of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi threw his famous sermon in 2014," the reporter said.

Wissam Yussef, an Iraqi military source, was quoted by Wissam Yusuf as saying that the Da'ash fighters took the withdrawal from the vicinity of the large Nuri Mosque, which includes the well-known Hadba Lighthouse in the center of the old neighborhood of Mosul, following the shelling of the organization's sites near it. Now the location of this mosque.

Da'ash fighters used thousands of civilians as human shields near the al-Nuri al-Kabir mosque, leading to delays in the liberation of Mosul, the center of the city's right side.

The clashes resulted in the deaths of many civilian casualties as a result of the bombing of the displaced people and displaced areas liberated in the vicinity of old Mosul, along with the fall of other civilians as a result of aerial bombardment and artillery on the sites of Dahesh surrounded by dozens of people.

Thanks nannab, l like looking at these maps. I would not say the are accurate and I hope not for the people on the ground, but I like seeing our progress.
