Parliamentary economy reveal the 50 thousand dinars coin put into the market this month

A commission of economy and investment representative, Wednesday, for the new currency launch of the 50 class thousand dinars to the Iraqi market during the current month.

He said committee member Najiba Najib's / scales News / "The central bank will present the new category of coin fifty thousand dinars to the Iraqi market during the current month after the completion of all their actions."

Najib added that "the other category of 100 000 dinars will go after the launch of the 50 category Alaracqa thousand dinars in the market for a while Alasthoudarat and procedures for that category is complete and make sure of their advantages and disadvantages."

This "revealed the Central Bank of Iraq, his request to wait for the issuance of class 100 000 dinars, noting that the issuance of 50 thousand dinars category of the local currency will be the end of this year" .anthy / 29 / d 24

FWIW - Some Of The Gurus Have Been Interpreting This New 50K Note

As A Replacement For The Recently Retired 50 Dinar Notes

Because Some Of The Previous Articles Have Included The Phrase

'Having The Value Of 50,000 Dinar' - Implying An RV

With A New 50 IQD Note Being Worth The Equivelent Of Two 25K Notes

Or A Value Of Over $40 !

The Old 50 Dinar Notes Didn't Have The Security Features

Issue a 50 dinar note worth what today is 50,000 dinars.  

 A 50K and 100K note could be lopped into the 50 dinar & 100 Dinar providing the avenue  for a lop. Only the 250 & 500 out there are stumbling blocks for all to stay in note form.

 

All other arguments to date for a 50K 100K I do not find credible. In fact, I do not believe the 50 dinar was pulled, unless it was for the purpose to construct all IQDs to flow through a lop seamlessly. sure the 50 could have devolved to a nickel so to speak.

 

None of it really makes any sense, Iraq has virtually no inflation, so suggesting pulling the 50 and introducing 50K/100K is ludicrous to me. If it happens, I suggest a criminal intent. That would not

surprise me as Iraq doesn't need to 'pre' diversify into agricultural and manufacturing for releasing the IQD to their GNP. Oil would bring in the wealth and agriculture/manufacturing would follow by supply/demand.

 Looks to me they are speeding up the implementation. 

I remember [Guru] Enorrste on several occasions also stating he thought they would implement it sooner than later.

This is great news.  

It confirms my analysis, on the one hand, including the fact that they are moving forward more quickly.  

But it also puts to death the talk of a 50000 note marked 50 dinars, which will not occur until the value increases significantly.  

If we are lucky the 50000 note will become more attractive to the locals and the demand for the dollar will  be assuaged.  

To the extent that this happens I predict that the 100000 note will be stepped up to no later than the 3rd quarter of this year.  

If, on the other hand, the 50000 note does not lower demand for the dollar, then all bets are off.

Thanks DT...Ya'd think a picture of these so called coins wouldn't be too much to ask for...This close to a release and no idea of what's goin' on...Gotta call .... ...on this one...If they do come out we'll never see them as they would be for international trade only after the RV when the larger bills are certified and destroyed and replaced by these Petro Dinars....If ya don't know what they look like...It would be hard to counterfeit them and for what...They'll be used to cash-in each country's ''certified'' accumulation of 25,000, 10,000, 5,000 and 1,000 dinar notes to set in each countries reserve to be cashed in by Iraq for petro-dinars...After the RV each country certifies their dinars and the amount of dinars then Iraq replaces them with the new High-Tech dinars and destroys all of the other 000's bills ....Accountability accomplished...just another way to look inside the Fish-Bowl from the outside...JMHO

7-2-2015   Newshound Guru Enorrste   The plan, as I understand it, is to issue the large 50000 and 100000 notes in order to do two things:  

reduce the demand for the dollar within Iraq and allow for a reduction in the money supply.  

If the first does not happen, then the second cannot happen. 

 Without a reduction in the money supply the value of the dinar will not rise.  

Actually, to put it more accurately, unless there is upward pressure on the dinar value the money supply cannot be reduced.  

Therefore, if the introduction of the large notes does not stem the demand for dollars then there will be no way to wean the country off of dollars and back to the dinar.  

Without more upward pressure on the dinar, the longer term plan is in jeopardy.

A lot is riding on the large note introduction.  

It is essential in the mind of the CBI that the downward pressure caused by dollarization in Iraq be stopped, at least, before a change in the exchange rate regime is initiated. 

...Allaq's statements indicates that he may believe that he can still stabilize the dinar's value through the auctions, as was done before.  

Once the currency value is stabilized then, in theory, they could move to a float.  

But the real desire, in my view, is to put upward pressure on the dinar, and the "hope" is that the introduction of the large notes will start that process away from the dollar. 

In the end, as KAP  [Guru Kaperoni] has said many times, only investment within Iraq will ultimately provide the upward pressure that will significantly raise the dinar value.  

But at this point they have to stop the "bleeding" of the downward spiral in the dinar and the "running away" from it in favor of the dollar.  

It is a tricky time.
