Wow is right. Thank you for posting as well. This is something that I have believed in for a while. Some great points were made here and I believe the last part was the nail on the head. I have come to believe for sometime that Mystery Babylon listed in Revelations is Iraq. Not, the US or any other nation. When you read the Bible about the end times, all of the nations listed are still there, Isreal, Persia-(Iran), Ethiopia, Syria, Egypt and so on. Babylon went away centuries ago, but like what was said in the post, is where modern day Iraq is. When I read all of these news articles about what Iraq wants to do, the trade involved around the world, the highest currency in the world, the new largest port in the world, I just keep seeing Mystery Babylon. I even remember reading an article about 10 years ago on a new supercomputer database center being built in Iraq near the ancient city of Babylon. There is a lot of talk about how this will change the world. I believe it will. I believe us having this wealth will be short lived too as the scriptures begin to unfold. but hopefully, you're right and I am wrong. Because Iraq had been talking about Redenomination / LOP in the past, so there is still a possibility ( the worst case scenario ) that they will RD First + RV , therefore, we only make a profit 3 times from the original investment.
