PM: Majority rule will be the solution if consensus fails

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, who doubles as head of the Victory alliance, said on Monday that the majority rule in naming the three authorities in Iraq, including, President,Prime Minister and Parliament Speaker, will be the solution if consensus failed with other political blocs.

 

In a statement, Abadi stressed that the political process is running as scheduled in accordance with the Iraqi constitution.

It is noteworthy that the political blocs met on Sunday in Babel City to discuss the formation of the largest parliamentary bloc and agree to join all other partners.
