Ok, that makes sense. I thought that might be the case. Begs the question however, why did they include English and not some other language or languages?

English is the International "trade language". Ship captains, airline pilots, etc, etc, all have to communicate in English. It's also why everything is pegged to the US Dollar and / or the British Pound. The "Crown" - ie: The "City of London" or the "Bar" is NOT part of the UK, as is the "District of Columbia" is NOT part of the United States of America"

They have needed replacement 250s and 500s for quite some time now. Anyone remember the taxi driver story regarding all the torn bills? I would imagine the life span of a paper nickel dime or quarter to be short. The citizens did not use the coins when introduced over a decade ago so they have been stuck using paper. Saleh spoke of the need of replacements to the old torn and beat up notes two years ago, so to me this comes as no surprise
