Al-Qaida breakaway formally declares Islamic State - Caliphate

Recommended Posts

BAGHDAD (AP) — The al-Qaida breakaway group that has seized much of northern Syria and huge tracks of neighboring Iraq formally declared the creation of an Islamic state on Sunday in the territory under its control.

The spokesman for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, made the announcement in an audio statement posted online. Islamic extremists have long dreamed of recreating the Islamic state, or caliphate, that ruled over the Middle East for hundreds of years.

Abu Mohammed al-Adnani said the group's chief, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is the new leader, or caliph, of the Islamic state. He called on those living in the areas under the organization's control to swear allegiance to al-Baghdadi and support him.

"The legality of all emirates, groups, states and organizations becomes null by the expansion of the caliph's authority and the arrival of its troops to their areas," al-Adnani said.

He said that with the creation of the caliphate, the group was changing its name to just the Islamic State, dropping the mention of Iraq and the Levant.

It was unclear what immediate practical impact the declaration would have on the ground in Syria and Iraq, or among the wider global jihadi community.

Depends on the mindset of the religion. The Muslim religion was birthed in conflict and violence and it has continued until this day.  This is not the case with the body of Christ.  Jesus' statement makes this clear, "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, that you love one another."

This particular group is pressing their basic conservative/traditional beliefs be upheld and implemented.  However, this is going to be in conflict with the rest of the Islamic countries.  The aggressive nature of the "Islamic State" places all other countries into their power and conservative belief system.  When they move into a country that country must capitulate and pay allegiance to the Muslim god and to the Islamic State caliphate, in this case Caliph Ibrahim (Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi).  This is going to cause a further division in the ME.  (As if didn't have enough division.)

ISIS Declared a New Islamist Caliphate.

Just do a search (using your search engine of choice) on this and you will find many articles from many sources like WSJ, FOX and others. As of this writing this about 10 hours old and is a very important development.

Here is an excerpt:

BAGHDAD—The Sunni Islamist militant group whose three-week blitz through northern Iraq has nearly upended the country’s fragile unity announced itself as a new Islamist “caliphate” on Sunday, unilaterally declaring statehood and demanding allegiance from other Islamist groups.

The announcement, recited in Arabic on the first day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan by spokesman Abu Mohammed Al Adnani into an audio file, effectively renames the group the Islamic State, canceling its previous title of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, or ISIS.

“We have had all the requirements of the Islamic state like fundraising, almsgiving, penalties, and prayers and still have only one thing which is the caliphate,” said Mr. Adnani in the recording. “The legality of all emirates, groups, states, and organizations, becomes null by the expansion of the caliph’s authority and arrival of its troops to their areas.”

The spokesman also declares the group’s leader, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, as the new Islamic State’s caliph. The recorded message was recorded on an Mp3 audio file and distributed through the group’s expansive social media presence.

The announcement revives the idea of an Islamic caliphate that hasn’t existed as a recognized political entity since it was abolished 90 years ago by Kemal Atatürk, the first president of modern Turkey.

There have been various caliphates throughout Islam’s 1,400-year history. The last one, which was governed by the Istanbul-based Ottoman Empire, extended across vast lands throughout North Africa, the Persian Gulf, Eastern Europe, modern Greece and Iraq.

A few days ago we have stated that soon they will demand allegiance (Bay’at) to this arising power.

In every major Arabic media from BBC Arabic, Al-Arabia, Al-Hayat to Al-Quds, the word “Ba’yat” (allegiance to the Caliphate) is on the headline (here, here, here, here, here)

This will stun Muslim fundamentalists globally to go in full-throttle that a Caliphate is no longer in sight, it’s become a reality.

Now we can even see The Wall Street Journal, a reputable secular source use this terminology, the same terminology used in the Bible regarding the threat of Antichrist. Christians need to read their bibles about “giving allegiance to the beast” or choosing death which will mostly be carried out by beheading in Iraq and Syria. The doubting Thomas must wait and see either the prophets were perfect guessers, or indeed, there is a God.

Now the ISIS will begin to force everyone to give allegiance to Al-Baghdadi.

We doubt that Al-Baghdadi will be the ultimate Caliph, but with the Caliphate established now in Iraq, what is expected is more carnage. Shoebat.com was able to obtain leaked photos of multiple crucifixions by the ISIS:

Just look at the photo above. Expect studded crosses as far as your eyes can see. The Muslim ISIS who hates the cross loves to use it. During the Arab Spring, we stated that the Arab Spring will evolve into an Islamic winter. We said it on Fox News and we were mocked. But we were right.

It is necessary now to learn more Islamic terminology. Begin to learn “Hiraba” and what that is all about.

Hiraba is Islamic law regarding punishments and now you will begin to see it applied in full force in all the areas that the Islamists control. We said it two years prior to the success of ISIS and now you are beginning to see it in full force. “Hiraba” comes straight from the damned Quran:

“The punishment of anyone who fights against Allah and His apostle and do mischief in the land is to be killed or crucified or to have their hands and feet from opposite ends or be banished from the land.” (Quran: The table spread)

It includes 4 styles of punishments; public execution (Qatl), crucifixion (Salb) and as crazy as it sounds amputating one hand and one foot from opposite sides (Yuqata’ Aydihim wa-Arjulihim) or exile (Nafy).

The intellectuals will finally realize that the entire Arab world will be taken over by totalitarian Salafists and Jihadists that will not offer equality between all human beings.

So what now will become of the Christian Arabs? They are not Sunni. There are millions of them in the Fertile Crescent, in Iraq and in Syria.

Expect countless crucifixions.

Sunni militants' declaration of new Islamic state met with alarm, ridicule in Syria and Iraq                                                                               CTV News 6/30/2014

Sinan Salaheddin And Zeina Karam, The Associated Press

Published Monday, June 30, 2014 7:29 AM EDT

BAGHDAD -- The audacious declaration of the establishment of a new Islamic state made by the al-Qaeda breakaway group that has overrun much

of northern Syria and neighboring Iraq sparked celebrations in the group's Syrian stronghold but was condemned by rival rebels and authorities in

Baghdad and Damascus.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant unilaterally announced the creation of a new Islamic caliphate -- a state governed by Shariah law -- in an

audio recording released late Sunday. The group proclaimed its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the caliph of its new state, and demanded that

Muslims everywhere pledge allegiance to him.

Through brute force and meticulous planning, the Sunni extremist group -- which said it was changing its name to just the Islamic State, dropping the

mention of Iraq and the Levant -- has carved out a large chunk of territory that has effectively erased the border between Iraq and Syria and laid the

foundations of its proto-state. Along the way, it has battled Syrian rebels, Kurdish militias and the Syrian and Iraqi militarizes.

Following the group's announcement, Islamic State fighters in their northern Syrian stronghold of Raqqa

paraded through the city to celebrate. Some of the revelers wore traditional robes and waved the group's

black flags in a central square, while others zoomed around in pick-up trucks against a thundering backdrop

of celebratory gunfire. Video of the celebrations was posted online, and activists in the city confirmed the

details.

The announcement was greeted with condemnation and even ridicule elsewhere in Syria, including from rival

Islamist rebel groups who have been fighting the Islamic State since January across northern and eastern

Syria.

"The gangs of al-Baghdadi are living in a fantasy world. They're delusional. They want to establish a state

but they don't have the elements for it," said Abdel-Rahman al-Shami, a spokesman for the Army of Islam, an

Islamist rebel group. "You cannot establish a state through looting, sabotage and bombing."

Speaking over Skype from Eastern Ghouta, near the capital Damascus, al-Shami described the declaration

as "psychological warfare" which he predicted will turn people against the Islamic State.

In Iraq, where the government has launched a counteroffensive to try to claw back some of the territory lost

to the Islamic State in recent weeks, the declaration is viewed through the prism of the country's rising

sectarian tensions.

"This is a project that was well-planned to rupture the society and to spread chaos and damage," said Hamid

al-Mutlaq, a Sunni lawmaker. "This is not to the benefit of the Iraqi people, but instead it will increase the

differences and splits."

The Islamic State has seized upon widespread grievances among Iraq's Sunni minority and opposition to Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's Shiite-led

government to help fuel its blitz through northern and western Iraq. Its offensive has prompted Shiite militias to reconstitute themselves, deepening

fears of a return to the sectarian bloodletting that pushed the country to the brink of civil war in 2006 and 2007.

Do they really think that it's permanent. Did they not just witness Barzani March in take his little piece of heaven back from both Iraq and ISIS in one field swoop. Like Iraq is just going to let it go and move on. (though I would imagine that indeed they leave Barzani alone since that was going to happen sooner or later)

I posted about this last night around 12 midnight EST and by that time the information was already 7 to 10 hours old. The information has been coming out of other sources than the AP which apparently picked it up early this morning. The Wall Street Journal ran an article on it yesterday and a simple search engine search can tell you this isn't just coming from the AP.

Declaring the Caliphate state and Al Baghadi declaring himself the Caliph has deep ramifications for everyone involved and not yet involved. The last Calipha was during the Ottoman empire in the early 20th century and when the Ottoman Empire fell so too did the Calipha. The reason why this has deep ramifications is because no matter which Islam you subscribe (or even if you are not muslim), if you do not recognize the Caliphate you become the enemy of Islam and by the very nature of all things Islam, you become an infidel. In that case you have 3 options: 1) Capitulate and recognize the Calipha for what he is and if not muslim must convert to Islam, 2) Pay the Jiziya as what is being requested of the Christians now (1 oz of gold per family up from 250 dollars per) or 3) Die by one of the punishments that has been ascribed to in the Quran. Crucifixion is one of those punishments, as well as the amputation of opposite hand and foot, as is beheading.

One or two things can happen here. First, the majority of Islam accepts the new Caliphate. Or they reject the Caliphate. If the majority of Islam accepts this caliphate, there are those that have been capitulating and have already voiced acceptance, then the only outcome of this is a blood until the world has been conquered by all of Islam. If the majority of Islam rejects this new Caliphate, then the outcome is again blood because the false Caliphate will need to be destroyed and truly decimated. The outspoken claim to the world that al-Baghdadi is the calipha has put this splinter group of Al-Qaeda so far ahead Al-Qaeda its not even funny.

By telling the world that Islam has a new Calipha and a Caliphate has so many deep ramifications for Islam that it endangers everything Iraq is doing. Why? First, the Calipha has just made Iraq obsolete and any other Islamic government. Any and all nation states should they accept the new Calipha now cedes their governance to the self proclaimed Calipha, Al-Baghdadi,  and ceases to be whatever country they are. All non muslims, or those who were muslims - meaning they do not accept the Calipha and and the Caliphate, have 3 options I mentioned above. Paying the jiziya is not done like you pay a water bill or like a cable bill. Usually those who pay are humiliated and that humility is done to degrade the person paying this so called protection money for which the Copts in Egypt can attest to this fact. If you cannot pay and will not convert to Islam, then its simple, you die by one of the three ways ascribed to in the Quran.

If you think that this is nothing more than Little Boy calliing wolf one too many times, remember the end of the story, the wolf did come. The wolf is here. So far little has been done about it. IF a coordinated effort is not enabled and emboldened now to put this down in its infancy, this cancer will spread like a wildfire with Santa Ana winds behind it. Eventually it will become too large to ignore and when it does, it will be too late then. Islam does not translate to peace. Islam means "to submit", to surrender. Ask a soldier in the Gulf Wars, what the Iraqi's said when they surrendered to the forces.

This has now grown exponentially larger than a civil war or a muslim war between a couple of renegade rebel factions, Syria and Iraq. This has gone so much further than that and those who say to stay out of it has no clue what this means for them or the world at large.

Regarding post by Theseus. Frightening but correct. The have recruited thousands of young men who will die for

their cause.  They take no prisoners.  I suggest all become familiar with the recent work of this group. Their numbers

increase daily.  Most are too afraid to speak out for fear they will be harmed/killed.  This group and like minded extremists

are horrific in their crimes.   I follow Tarek Fatah for updates in Canada, he is a outspoken anti-extremist and writer

who's articles appear in the Toronto Sun.
