Iraqi Planning undertake to release funds from the budget after a week approval

Baghdad, February 19 (Rn) - The Iraqi Planning Ministry said on Sunday it will launch a fund for the budget in 2012 after seven days of approval in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, in order to speed up the implementation of projects.

He added that "the Ministry of Planning agreed with Finance to release funds, and have developed an appropriate plan for the success of the process of launching funds of ministries, within seven days," noting that "the Ministry of Planning Sttaaba the process of implementing strategic projects by the ministries and local governments in the event of Chamber of Deputies passed the Iraqi file the budget during the this month. "

This is great news if it happens, thanks for the post.

The way I see it we should have an RV by March 15th....and if we dont then the of course the ride will go on! Lol

But they really seem to be trying to get these big items in play.....lotta money being lost everyday over there......you know the powers that be are chompin at the bit on this one....we arent the only ones who think this is takin way to long....I really think we are getting close.....right around the corner....."can you see it kids"!!! :)

We've been here before, we all were thinking before Thanksgiving and then before 2012 and here we are again, but a lot has been done since then and it seems they're really pushing it this time, let's keep our fingers crossed and pray this time it's for real.

The way I interpret the translation is that they are establishing a special fund (cash budget) that needs to be approved by the Council, which is anticipated to take 7 days to get through the process. Planning agrees with Finance to have Finance release funds (could be padded funds, emergency funds.....) to the special fund to get projects into the system and implemented.

The 2012 Budget has not been passed, and they realize the necessity to get projects in the pipeline as to not miss precious time because of their delicate, financial situation. Somebody is thinking about the country, and not just themselves.

That's me. I stopped by after church to see what all the fuss was about. Shukri meant that the cash budget would be released 7 days after the budget was approved.

BTW, he said Najiba Najib IS a real Beeyatch - I was right!

What does "recruitment process" mean? Im hoping it means they want their dinar back that we are holding.

I believe the recruitment process would be the Request For Proposal, RFP, process, which in government, can be an arduous process. For anyone unfamiliar with the RFP process, in a nutshell, a project is identified, vendors to complete project are identified, requests for bids on the project are requested of the vendors, and then the selection process begins, and the award is made.
