I have a problem with the way people use the word socialist. Socialism is a good thing. What has this to do with the Bible, by the way? Jesus was a socialist, and his followers were true communists.

Public schools, roads, libraries, a police department, a fire department, public parks, the national park system, clean rest stops along the highways - these are all socialism. I think that when people speak of socialism and Obama, they mean that they are afraid he is bringing in a TOTALITARIAN or FASCISTIC regime. Like the Soviet Union was. It used the words socialism, and communism too, but it was never other than a totalitarian state, a dictatorship at times.

I was born in Jackson Mississippi in 1963. I have seen more hatred towards anothers race, religion and sexual preference in my life than most. I have lived in 41 countries and NONE are as bad as the US. (Muslim cleric run excluded). Dont know why so called religous people, especially christians hate so much. Christians have killed more than others ie: crusades ect. Is"nt it time to stop?? Im not suggesting turning the other cheek. Just saying its time to be better human beings.

I live an easy life on a farm, no taxes, and subsist on what I have so if, and I do say if the dinar does pop, Im giving mine away to charity. Not to a church because everyone know god will provide so they dont need my money. But to a childrens hospital. Hope the $7 is true but seriously doubt it. Any blessing is a blessing.

I'm not concerned if Obama is a muslim or a christian- Constitution doesn't forbid a muslim from being a President from what I remember. However, I am concerned when the American people are lied to, laws are broken, and laws are enacted which weaken this country. There is a video that is circulating where Obama himself says he wasn't born in this country- I don't profess to know if it's fake or not but do believe the Supreme Court should take the question- ramifications if he is are HUGE. Health Care Package- Democrats didn't know what was in it before they voted on it (Pelosi's infamous quote) but we know now- huge deficits, higher health care costs and companies being not hiring- how many CEOs do we have to hear say it before we believe it. Now the Israel question: does Obama really expect them to go back to pre-1967 borders??? IF so, what next- shall we be giving back Texas, Arizona and California to Mexico because we took it in War? How absolutely foolish. Finally, I'm reminded of the Cap and Trade for energy- talk to the people who actually work in the industry across the country and see what they say about buying credits and being penalized so heavily by the EPA... INSANE. We could talk about the stimulus that didn't work as predicted; the 'cash for clunkers' where dealerships didn't get paid and consumers went into debt; the unemployment rate that is still close or surpasses 9% depending upon who you talk to; the bail outs which led to huge deficit borrowing; the apologies; etc.... hey, the hits just keep coming. All in all, in my opinion- O is the worst President this country has had in my lifetime- and I've lived through Nixon, Johnson, and Carter- My goodness, he's worse than Carter!!!! I'm not for socialism, my forefathers fought against it and died for democracy... along with many friends and family. You forgot that part about his family "planted" the birth announcement in the newspaper, the announcement that the hospital posts, so that it would appear that he was born in the US.

Well. Far from me the idea or intention of criticizing any Country.......But just for information....I live in Italy and it's certainly true we have a few problems here ( which country doesn't, starting with our Prime Minister... big problem)... But at least our health system that I guess some of you would deem as "Socialist" is fairly good. ..We don't pay anything for hospital admittances no matter how long they last and also for any type of surgery as long as it's deemed necessary and not an option ( like beauty surgery, of course)....

Direct example........My Mother. Had Heart surgery ( 5 hr long) in a public Hospital in Vicenza ( city where US Forces have a big base and also US Personnel uses that Hospital) ...Then She had to stay there for some time. The surgery went super fine.... It was all free .... And no, My Mother, like most Italians , didn't have a health insurance. She just had her health card which is given to every Italian Citizen. It's the same in most European Union Countries.
