  1. Andrew Breitbart's news sites Big Journalism and Big Government, are reporting the death of their founder shortly after midnight in Los Angeles. I'll let the mods move it to the appropriate place, but rumors appears to be where the bulk of the traffic is, if its not Iraqi news. I know a lot of folks here follow him, so when I saw that article I immediately came here.
  2. I've lived in Dallas for 32 years, never seen a Gramm St. I looked it up on google and the map brought back nothing.
  3. Nothing helps a pumping guru seem legit like being "investigated by the FBI." I doubt any of those clowns, especially Okie, are worth any agency's time.
  4. If you have windows, click the start menu. Then Run. In the blank field, type "Cmd," which will open the command prompt. then type "ping dinarvets.com" and when you get a response back, you've pinged this board. Then ask yourself where the green flashing light was.
  5. I know its not fair to bash people when they get busted mispeaking like this, and really I think Palin was trying to say Revere was warning the British through the overall actions of rallying the colonials...saying that they can't just come over here and not expect a fight...why she goes into the "taking their guns" thing was kinda odd, like she got lost in her own thought and was like, "oh crap, gotta mention guns before my time runs out!" Lord knows Obama does it too. 57 states, teleprompters and all. But Obama is genuinely a smart guy. Even if you hate him, you have to admit it takes some mental fortitidue to...what do you guys say? Take over and destroy our country out from under our noses? Palin seems intentionally dense. I kinda feel like she just tries to say what she thinks people want to hear so she'll gain support from people who just want to hear someone talk about the topics they like...and then isn't really aware of what that support means or has any idea what she's going to do with it once she has it. I get the feeling she thinks "it would be neato" to be President without any real understanding of what the job is really like.
  6. hey, why don't you go back to collecting information for your daily 6,000 word dinar essay, Captain Passalong?
  7. I'm not angry at all. You're mistaking my snarkiness for anger. I'm not upset talking about this. As for responding to your philosophies, I won't because I don't get them so I'm not going to try and speak to something I am probably misinterpreting. Plus, I'm posting between frustrating sessions on a home plumbing project so I don't really have the time to dedicate to it anyway.
  8. I don't even know how to respond to stuff like this. You're even questioning my own experiences. The internet truly is a strange place. So I can only "enjoy" things in some quasi-real manner because you think I'm a "slave" while you fight the good fight for my individual liberty? And you're doing that how, exactly? By playing Moral Batman on the internet?
  9. You're pretty much tuned into exactly what I'm talking about. Also consider that technology has removed our borders, socially. I have friends all over the country and across the oceans. 25 years ago, the only way to have a conversation with someone overseas was to go there. Now I do it every day. This NWO stuff is boogeman crap that weirdos on the internet make up to get into silly conversations with other weirdos on the internet just like this. They have a forum and a voice and now they can reach out and find other paranoids who spend all day long looking up articles about why we're slaves or how we have no freedom. They're slaves to their own delusions. For example: While this thread was continuing yesterday evening, I was enjoying a nice, hot Texas evening, watching live music on a patio at a bar that I sometimes run sound at. Guys were playing songs they wrote, expressing themselves artistically, folks were listening and enjoying, having a few beers and eating dinner. My fiancee wasn't even texting me to find out when I'd be done. How is that being a slave? Life is good. This thread made me feel sorry for folks who really think otherwise, that they are in genuine fear that the government is going to show up in the night and take them somewhere, and that I'm somehow the weirdo because I enjoy myself by doing things I love. Well, ok. But yeah, we're all stuck on this planet together and the only way we are going to get anywhere as a civilization is by eventually removing social and political borders. There is a better way than what we're doing now, just like there was a better way than when we were living in caves, writing on walls. We'll come together, and work as a group to the benefit of all mankind. It's a hopeful situation, not something to be afraid of. But what I'm talking about is not a new world order, that's their boogeyman. What I'm talking about is logical, common sense inevitablity. But wrapping that up into some kind of conspiracy theory about secret groups and shadowy alliances just breeds the fear for the future we should be overcoming.
  10. Right. Ok. Waitress? I'll have whatever he's having. Make it a double.
  11. I cannot stress this enough with text, but lol wtf?! Yeah. Enjoying life is for chumps. How dare i?
  12. well for a slave, I've got it pretty easy. If being a slave is sleeping in all morning, then having pancakes and then playing xbox all afternoon I'm pretty much ok with that.
  13. I kinda don't know why everyone is afraid of a one world government. Throughout history, smaller self-governing bodies have regularly and consistently joined up to to the benefit of all involved. Sure, you lose some individuality along the way, but that's just life rolling forward. Do you think anyone cares about the way viking tribes used to operate 800 years ago? Developing a new all powerful government is bad today but its ok when the US just shows up and takes land at will from the Native Americans? When Rome ruled the world, it seemed like a pretty sweet deal because all these poor countries got roads and technology. Yeah, maybe a few of them got fed to lions but do you think anyone in 1000 years is going to care what happened to any of us specifically during a transition from an international community to a one world government? I doubt it. As humans have spread out, original social arrangements have to change and adapt to new sizes, new situations. There's no way to maintain life as we know it if we want to survive to see the next phases of humanity. We're going to have to get off of this rock and find something else out there. Individual nations working alone can't make that happen. But you can't have nations like the US and China leading the way while places in the Middle East are still barely out of the dark ages. At a certain point, we have to have a minimum requirement as a global community. Someone has to lead the way and say, "we as a global community need to have goals X, Y, and Z and if you're not going to help us achieve those goals, then you're only going to slow us down." And those nations or people who are going to slow us down from colonizing other worlds or tackling overpopulation and pollution and balancing resources vs. consumption are going to get axed. There won't be a Middle East in 100 years. There will be chunks of land occupied by the US and China and Russia and they'll offer incentives to citizens who will be willing to relocate so that those major nations have a presence in those regions so that our military forces can have support while they go in and clean out anything that doesn't want to play the game with the rest of us. I hate to get science-fictiony, but a global nation is the only way to achieve success for the future. If there isn't a cohesion and togetherness between everyone, you're a cancer and we'll only delay the inevitable destruction of the human race. I'm not trying to slam on America or say that this nation isn't awesome and every other nation on the planet shouldn't want to be us, but the reality is until something comes in and forces us all to be something, some kind of unit together, we're all going to be fighting over borders and oil instead of fighting for a real future.
  14. That's silly. Walls can't talk. They don't have mouths!
  15. Twain was a humorist. I'm pretty sure that quote was meant to be funny.
  16. well, now you're getting into the whole good/bad legal/illegal argument which is the slippery slope nobody wants to go down, but I know what you're getting at and I'll say this: marijuana for recreational use is illegal and testing positive for it should (under florida's proposed guidelines) deny you welfare. That being said, I'm pretty sure if you're using marijuana medicinally, you're already ok'ed by the government to smoke it so I don't know why there'd be a problem with the welfare situation. If you've got a free pass from the gov't to get high, testing positive for it shouldn't hang up welfare funds. Nobody is smoking medicinal crack though, so your argument is really only good when discussing pot (and at the end of the day, probably won't get tested for because of these exact reasons).
  17. so despite the fact that the message is exactly what the mods are asking us not to post in this forum, this thread is ok because the pictures are pretty? COME ON.
  18. really? I didn't know that. that's an interesting bit of info.
  19. So lets see if I understand this correctly. The mods have asked us to knock off the anti-obama/pro-obama, and you can't even go a single day without posting something? Come on man, give it a rest. We can't even make it 'til Monday? I'm fairly certain youtube videos are going to count in this too. You're not even baiting liberals. You're baiting the mods with this one, challenging them to delete this thread knowing full well the content you're bringing up with it.
  20. Exactly. If you were having a face to face conversation, of course your ability to spell or punctuate doesn't come into play as a factor. But on a message board, where you are forced to endure spelling mistakes and grammatical errors AND PUNCTUATIONS AND SUCH HUH UH.....BECAUSE YOU CAN, then it makes it tiring to take in someone's post, much less give them credit for their thought or opinion. Computers have all but replaced the need to write legibly, the least one can do is have some mastery of their own language. Almost 20% of the globe speaks English. The least you can do is type it out correctly.
  21. that's why you gotta be careful how you address people here. Not so much because of the mods, but because if you call someone an a**hole, your ads are going to be...well...you don't want to know what they're going to be!
  22. see, that's exactly the stuff we should be pouring funding into. that stuff is so futuristic that it'll be generations before anyone else has anything like it. we don't need billion dollar planes that fly so fast they turn pilots into skin bags full of goo. we need a camera drone that transforms into a bird, that can slip into an area unnoticed and kill a target with a single shot. i mean really. this stuff isn't that hard to come up with. its just hard to make it real.
  23. Did he seriously quote Predator in that speech? Awesome.
