  1. I feel your pain mrparrot, I am currently going thru the same thing. After my husband passed away, I lost my job...that was 4 years ago. I went back to school and refreshed skills and finally I just got a job in January. I am now working with a non profit credit counseling agency to see if I can't get the loan modified. Things can't get much worse...which means they can only get better.
  2. My dad searched for the Mother Lode most of his adult life. He panned and had a river sluice box in the California foothills west of San Joaquin county...found flakes and a few nuggets, nothing big. It was hard work for so little in return....BUT hey, we, more than lots of folks know about keepin' that dream.
  3. The shame of this is the loss of human history. Artifacts and stories are all we have to tell us where we came from. Shame.
  4. It seems to me that it couldn't have happened better...Talabani has a stroke, but how bad? do we know? really?...Talabani gets shipped to Germany for treatment and a long recovery...Maliki figures, he's out of the picture so I get free reign, with no one with any backbone or "pull" to question me, so he proceeds to make himself the latest and greatest dictator and rob the country blind and hinder the country's progress at every avenue, and this happens!....Talabani gets better, just about the time that Maliki has pretty much hung his own self with that proverbial rope. If Talabani runs, come election time Maliki had better have his getaway planned or he may meet his maker sooner than he figured.
  5. Boeing has been having a hard time of it this year. Boeing news is big here in the NW. With this and the "battery" issues they had earlier this year, it's tough for them.

  7. In the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship, but never in want.
  8. "Always make them think they are clever" indeed.
  9. Per previous posts,I believe the dealers are registered with the UST and if they are mailed internationally, the sender tells the mailing service and it is declared with customs. Every eBay purchase I have made, that is from an international seller has a customs stamp on the package when it arrives. I don't think we claim to IRA until it RVs, but I would consult a CPA/Tax Attorney to be 100% sure. Hope that helps....
