Back to the drawing boards.

Groundhog Day all over.

Are we back to square one?

The 2024 Budget was approved back in November.

Treat as a rumor.  Not verified.  Your opine.

ARTICLE:  Parliamentary Finance Committee resumed its regular meetings with the beginning of the new legislative term, while confirming the imminent arrival of the budget law for the year 2024.

The media office of the Committee Chairman said in a statement: “The Parliamentary Finance Committee, headed by Atwan Al-Atwani, resumed, today, its regular meetings with the beginning of the term.”

“The meeting discussed ways to conduct a quick review of the committee’s work during the past legislative term & determine the priorities for the next phase in accordance with the ministerial platform, whether in terms of completing the requirements for legislating important laws or monitoring spending & overcoming obstacles.”  The obstacles that delay the implementation of service & development plans & programmes.”

Al-Atwani stressed – according to the statement – that “the committee is awaiting the arrival of the budget law for 2024 soon to make the necessary amendments to its schedules,” stressing “the necessity of determining our priorities in accordance with the government program.”

He added, “We will have field visits in the coming days to the ministries & governorates to follow up on the implementation of plans & programmes,” addressing the members of the committee by saying: “Your presence in the field is sufficient to solve all the legal & technical problems that delay the referral of strategic projects & impede the completion of delayed ones.”

He stated, “We have allocated additional funds to the governorates in order to implement strategic projects & this requires us to follow up on financing & implementation,” pointing out “the necessity of working to overcome obstacles to completing school building projects that have been lagging for years.”

Here's another article of Dinarian interests....

Sandy Ingram:          Four Reasons Why.

ARTICLE:  There are 4 major reasons Kuwait, Iraq's next-door neighbor has the strongest currency in the world...Kuwait dinar is $3.36... 1.  Major exporter of oil.  Kuwait is estimated to hold 10% of the world's oil reserves.  The tiny country has a population of 4.3 million people vs Iraq who has approximately 43 million people & a lot more oil than Kuwait.  2.  Kuwait has an excellent reinvestment of oil revenue.  Kuwait uses its oil revenue to build infrastructure & develop microeconomic sectors to increase its GDP.    [Post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

Sandy Ingram:    3.  Kuwait is tax free.  Being a tax-free country enables the GDP to be higher & it just makes everyone happier not to have to pay taxes.  Since May of 2007 the Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) is pegged to an undisclosed basket of currencies...  4.  This is good news for some of you and not good news for others...Kuwaiti currency is scarce.  It is very difficult to get your hands on a Kuwaiti Dinar unless you are inside of the country...Being scarce when it comes to currency is a good thing.  [Post 2 of 2]

Possibly….looking that way…we still have to April 30 and then roll on next year…although a reset and crash could happen and there are dates floating around for the EBS activation…according to decodes..
