Adel Nouri, head of the fact-finding committee on the Iraqi legislative elections, said on Monday in case the manual counting of votes id done accurately, it will be proved that fraud exceeded 65 to 70 percent.
In a press statement, Nouri said that scraping the results of this election is the best solution, adding this election is nothing but a farce.
He also said he has suspicions that the High Electoral Commission (HEC) circumvented laws, expressing surprise at delaying the time whereat the manual counting shall be done until the current term of the parliament has expired.
Iraqi legislative elections, held last May 12th, has been marred by violence and low turnout. The Sadrists' Sairun alliance took the lead, capturing 54 seats. They really have no choice if they don’t want a civil war.  They have to prove to the electorate that while there was “some” corruption Sadr did win.  Kind of like our election in 2000.  They only thing I’m having trouble with is WHY does it take so long to get counting the ballots. These people move slower than a pack of snails with broken legs.

Good God Almighty - The election was May 12th !

Hurry the Hell Up Already - Everything has to be dragged through the weeds, then quicksand, muddy bogs and marsh land, buried for ages then dug up, scraped off, argued over incessantly as to which way to proceed ( again ) and then finally the process begins all over again - and STILL nothing resolved.

Where are they exactly in this process ? Have they actually begun the count or are they merely discussing the manual count as it would exist if it were the 800 lb. Gorilla in the room ? Let's talk about it for a while before we actually do anything because after all, we're not going to let any outside forces to influence or tamper with our " process. "

I think it was Nannab that said it best when referencing the " pace " & the waiting at which all of this has been proceeding - " BRUTAL "  - NO other adjective more aptly describes the way I feel after 15 yrs. of waiting - - - Oh, I'm in it for the long haul to be certain.

The only entity that's actually making a real genuine effort to get things done that I can see is the CBI - if I'm wrong, I'll stand corrected. Okay I'm done, time to talk the horse now and blow off a bit more steam . . . he's a great listener as long as I keep the carrots coming. ;)

Looks like Trump is going to have to drain the swamp in Iraq as well with all the corruption that's hitting the news lately.  Not that he needed the news to tell him that. He already called them a bunch of thieves. Wonder how many tentacles our cabal has over there as well.

The results will await judicial approval

After the completion of the counting process, the list of winners will be sent to the Federal Supreme Court for ratification under the constitution in preparation for the first session of the new parliament.
