Meeting....and doing a whole lot of NOTHING. Paying people with bonds that, as of today, are worth next to nothing. So they extended the parliament session to May 31st and we are halfway to that mark already, yet they are content to sit and look at each other. Poor Iraqi citizens.

This could get done quickly if the lenders, World Bank etc, would say no funding until you get a noncorrup GOI in place, pass needed laws, and these similar needed foundation blocks to build a better Iraq.  You stop the money and you will see things happen . If not the people will surely show it.

Nouri al-Maliki has been suspiciously quiet, too.

It won't be long now before Maliki and crew finally meet their maker. They are building their case against these corrupt individuals as we speak and justice will be dealt asap!

Im sure they are squirming now and are starting to feel the pressure, after many years of stealing and pilfering it may take a while to gather all the Intel and then swoop down and wipe these crooks off the map.  Corruptions roots run very deep in Iraq but little by little they will accomplish their objective.

If you look at the corrupt in Iraq as something we are all quite familiar with, we all will quickly understand why removing them is taking so long.

As an analogy, look at Maliki as the base of the trunk of a mighty White Oak tree. If you start pruning the limbs, they will quickly grow back come next Spring..... but if you cut the trunk down close to ground level, and uproot the stump getting all the roots, it will never sprout again.

Our (US of A) intelligence services, along with Great Britain's, are digging deep into the root system of Iraq's corruption. We start with the  small branches and limbs, gaining intel as we work our way to the trunk.

There will be no articles that explain just how far along this process we are. The day will quite simply dawn when it is announced that Maliki is in custody and the vast number of criminal charges will be published.
