  1. Happy Hump Day everyone, and welcome to the weekly update! Current situation: Budget: We are extremely close to seeing the budget passed, and in such a way that the Kurds will be happy with it. In fact, Salim Al-Jiburi (the Iraqi speaker) did meet with Yusuf Mohammed (speaker of the Kurdistan region’s parliament) just earlier today, and preliminary reports are showing that they are in agreement on how to move forward. In regards to the budget, it's interesting to know that more than 20% of the Kurdish regions people are on Government payroll, and that actually accounts for over 70% of the public spending (the money that Baghdad sends to them)... so not only do they want to resolve this quickly, but these are the same government officials who will be pushing hard for an increase in the value because it literally goes right in their own pockets when it happens! ISIL/ISIS: There is no way the IS problem will ever be truly and completely eradicated, so the best we can realistically hope for is successful containment. As I've said in the past, I believe the best way to do that is with brute force, and I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone who chooses to join ranks with that radical and evil group. (The fact that they are even considering the Alton Nolen "Jah'Keem Yisrael" beheading deal in Oklahoma being charged as "murder" instead of what it really is (terrorism) infuriates me to no end... but I digress.) With that said, there are continuing reports of IS militants being driven back, out of Iraq. Just this Monday they withdrew from the Shingal region and fled back to Syria. Britain is finally stepping into the ring (about time them wankas realized this is everyone's fight!) and you probably saw the footage this morning of their airstrikes in Iraq. Britain is not the only country joining... several other Euro countries are joining as well. The main thing holding some of them back is the uncertain stance of the UN, which is once again proving to be an absolutely useless organization. Regardless of my opinions on those matters, though, the bottom line is that IS is less and less a major concern in Iraq as they are being dealt with, the budget resolution is in motion, and HCL won't be far behind that. Maliki is a nuisance, but things are moving forward in spite of him. We'll just have to watch and see how his role plays out. I'm going to say that's absolutely false - the rate is the rate, and in fact it may end up going UP as demand for it increases. Some people are under the impression that once the value raises, everyone and their mother is going to race to dump it. I strongly disagree with that idea - some people will race to the bank, but plenty of smart investors will actually be in BUY mode, which will have an effect on the value. Here's what I know for sure - 1. There is no "pool" reserved for the first X dinars, and more importantly 2. As a VIP member, you'll be getting constant updates from our professional experts advising us whether we need to hold or fold. I really don't see anything else - in order for the HCL to go through, the other obstacles need to be handled, and that's what they are doing right now... so I'd say it's going good! I'm not going to dismiss the seriousness of ISIS, but I am going to discourage a "sky is falling" attitude. Yes, Obama has done a horrible job in this situation (who's surprised?), but the pressure is on everyone to join the fight and push ISIS back, and that's happening. When you're watching the news, remember this - doom and gloom sells ad spots in the media. Happiness and success is often ignored for that reason, and negative stories get hyped beyond reality in order to generate those $$$'s. So, until the RV is announced or a lop is announced... take it all with a grain of salt, be thankful for this opportunity no matter how we walk away from it (hopefully you're learning a lot as we wait!), and stay calm. That's it for this Wednesday update... hopefully the next time I post here it will be with the news we're waiting for. GOOOOOO RRRRRVVVVVVVVVVVVVV!!!!!!!!

  4. starfire1 » The Marines were backing-up LAPD on a call that someone had broken into a store. At the scene, the cop told the Marines to "cover" him as he approached the store (to police, "cover" means to point your weapons in the direction of the threat, to Marines it means lay down a base of fire!). The Marines promptly laid down a base of fire. The Marines fired 178 rounds before they stopped shooting. The thief, probably a little scared at this point, called 911 and reported, "They're shooting at me!". ********** starfire1 » As we stood in formation at the Pensacola Naval Air Station, our Flight Instructor said, "All right! All you dummies fall out." As the rest of the squad wandered away, I remained at attention. The instructor walked over until he was eye-to-eye with me, and then just raised a single eyebrow. I smiled and said, "Sure was a lot of 'em, huh sir?" *********** starfire1 » A young naval student was being put through the paces by an old sea captain. "What would you do if a sudden storm sprang up on the starboard?" "Throw out an anchor, sir," the student replied. "What would you do if another storm sprang up aft?" "Throw out another anchor, sir." "And if another terrific storm sprang up forward, what would you do then?" asked the captain. "Throw out another anchor, sir." "Hold on," said the captain. "Where are you getting all those anchors from?" "From the same place you're getting your storms, sir." ************ starfire1 » Airman Jones was assigned to the induction center where he was to advise new recruits about their government benefits, especially their GI insurance. It wasn't long before Captain Smith noticed that Airman Jones had almost a 100% record for insurance sales, which had never happened before. Rather than ask about this, the Captain stood in the back of the room and listened to Jones's sales pitch. Jones explained the basics of the GI Insurance to the new recruits, and then said: "If you have GI Insurance and go into battle and are killed, the government has to pay $200,000 to your beneficiaries. If you don't have GI insurance, and you go into battle and get killed, the government has to pay only a maximum of $6000." "Now," he concluded," which bunch do you think they are going to send into battle first? ********** starfire1 » Through the pitch-black night, the captain sees a light dead ahead on a collision course with his ship. He sends a signal: "Change your course ten degrees east." The light signals back: "Change yours, ten degrees west." Angry, the captain sends: "I'm a Navy captain! Change your course, sir!" "I'm a petty officer, second class," comes the reply. "Change your course, sir." Now the captain is furious. "I'm a battleship! I'm not changing course!" There's one last reply. "I'm a lighthouse. Your call."

Long convoys of vehicles, etc. somebody took the picture and you've got plenty of civilians in the background, come on you mean to tell me we don't have people on the inside all over every move they make? BS!!! There is a hidden agenda here. "Habib! What is that?" OH Nooooooo Suicidal Swine Bombers!!!!

  8. Adam, Good summary and thank you... I like your thinking.. we are close but still a few things to iron out and hopefully Iraq sees the importance.. looks like everyone knows they can win but not willing to go all chips in.. some still holding waiting for who is next to move on psycho group. We wait and see and we are basically closer than we have ever been in many years we are in this ride. Yes, I choose the word psycho group because I don't want to give them advertising I agree with you.. no matter what the outcome is we should be thankful because blessing is not always in money form.. look at what we have gained in the last few years in this journey.. I personally have gained friends and knowledge and I consider them priceless

  10. I'll say one thing for Maliki - he and his cronies were so blatantly corrupt and stole so much money from Iraq that the backlash they are ultimately creating could result in the most efficient and honest government Iraq has or ever could see. The budget will be a snap and the HCL will be much easier to negotiate without the HUGE drain of funds by corrupt officials. Bribery is going to be hard to eradicate because it is essentially cultural at this point, but the loss of public funds could be reduced to a trickle instead of a flood. Peace and Prosperity

  14. Please do not ignore the numbers. Numbers don't lie. It is said that there are 35,000 plus IS operatives that control an area the size of Indiana. They can't all be around Baghdad. So how can a few hundred or even thousand IS overtake a city of almost 9 MILLON ??? It's just not possible and is more disinformation my fellow dinarians. I see it as a precurser to our investments coming to maturity.

  18. Profound words of encouragement if you have not had a beer today!!! Sometimes, after playing golf, I reflect on all the beer I drink, I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. I think, "It is better to drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver." Babe Ruth "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day." Winston Churchill "When I read about the evils of drinking after golfing I gave up reading." Paul Horning "24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not." H. L. Mencken "When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!" George Bernard Shaw "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin "Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza." Dave Barry BEER: HELPING UGLY PEOPLE HAVE SEX SINCE 3000 B.C.! W. C. Fields Remember "I" before "E," except in Budweiser. Professor Irwin Corey To some it's a six-pack, to me it's a Support Group. Salvation in a can! Leo Durocher One night at Cheers, Cliff Clavin said to his buddy, Norm Peterson: "Well, ya see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members! In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine! That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

  22. Once again. The dates are moving to the right with each days passing. So I offer my canned response at this point. When TLAR, TNT, BGG, GET, Jester, Freewaybill, millionday, KTFA, poppy3, Okie, poofness, DebTarHeelGirl, MtnGoat, EXOGEN, Stage3Alpha, papajack, stryker and others all come up short on Tuesday (Sept 2nd), then I would like them to take all their cronies and move on from the intel community. I know they will all just say it was "Rumor", but they have no right to continually and falsely raise expectations of people involved with this investment. They only spew unfounded rumors. They know nothing. Do your own investigations and homework to arrive at your own conclusions. The list keeps growing. If you’re a newbie to this investment you might want to take advantage of the wisdom of those who have been in this investment for years. We have some of the best on this site including Adam Montana the owner of this site. Take advantage of it.

  28. I can only reply from personal USAF experience, though I know I speak for many female rated military officers. We've been in the cockpit for decades. Some of us have been shot down and were recovered throughout those many years.... though I suspect in these times of internet a hungry press and the availability of data transmission from captors themselves, if that happens in current times, it would likely be all over the news. No one, man or woman climbs that ladder thinking they would be shot down.... (though we've all been trained well for that event)... And to be sure that argument floated around for years before women finally engaged combat by that means. And I would say now what I said then... it is abhorrent that any human would torture another and no man or woman should ever have to suffer that fate. However, as the UAE Major notes, we all have a responsibility, and some of us choose to answer it from within the cockpit of Fighter aircraft....

  29. Active and successful leaders are willing to do what others will not do. He is willing to work to get things accomplished, and not just to hold the title of a leader. When he came into office he wanted to make sure that the list of things to be achieved became a reality and not just “kicking the can down the road.” Al Abadi is pushing to get things done. He has a passion for what the job of being PM and not just the power and wealth he can accumulate. Most successful people are driven, and they push forward toward the goals they are called (by themselves or others) to accomplish. So far this PM is staying focused on getting results. Unsuccessful people spend a lot of time in analyzing the problems and blaming others for their failures. Good leaders don’t make excuses because they know that it will not change the outcome. Even justified excuses will not cause or help to accomplish the goal. Problems become opportunities. The things on Abadi’s “to do list” get attention rather than allowing some of the side issues to thwart progress. For al Abadi, his goal of establishing the government seems real rather than just a “day at the office.” Maliki seem to let anything drift into his path and stop him from pushing forward. That’s why there were constant delays. Every negative note, holiday, dinner, or a stopped up toilet would shut down parliament! This PM is “going for it” and is willing to make some failures. I don’t think he wants to fail, but if he doesn’t put himself in the position to fail, he will never put himself in the position to complete the GOI. Go al Abadi!

  30. The actions of those who manipulate has been going on for a LONG time. It is not just this admin, it has been ongoing in a myriad of ways under our noses. We paid no attention to it unfortunately. We have had corrupt leadership behind the scenes for so long, they are now doing it openly and boldly, BOTH sides of the aisle are corrupt. Some quotes: “The CIA owns everyone of any significance in the major media.” – William Colby, former CIA director “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” – William Casey, CIA Director (from first staff meeting, 1981) (it worked!) “Deception is a state of mind and the mind of the State.” – James Angleton, head of CIA counter intelligence from 1954-1974 “I never would have agreed to the formulation of the Central Intelligence Agency back in forty-seven, if I had known it would become the American Gestapo.” – Harry S. Truman “The individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.” – J. Edgar Hoover, ex-FBI director on the New World Order conspiracy “If the American people knew what we have done, they would string us up from the lamp posts.” – George H. W. Bush ” I will splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the winds.” – John F. Kennedy (is it any wonder JFK was targeted???) “Fifty men have run America, and that’s a high figure.” – Joseph Kennedy, father of JFK, in the July 26th, l936 issue of The New York Times “There is no such thing, at this date of the world’s history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar weekly salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities, and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.” – John Swinton, former New York Times Chief of Staff

If my managers feel "below" that then heck move on down the road...those people you manage should e taken care of. Working a shift right next to them also solves many company issues before they are issues such as safety, shrinkage and many others. Culture is built on that as well....and there is a lot of respect all the way around because of it. Managers do not blindly manage with this policy.

  38. And of course the great TNT Tony provides no reference or link or copy or other evidence of this great news. What gazette? The official governmental publication or some tabloid or blog? And how is he seeing in the mosques, newspapers and television? If that were all true, everyone would be seeing it. And why is he the only one to ever know such great news, that can never be verified, and that never comes true? Of course, that's a rhetorical question. We all know the answer. Cuz it ain't true! Thanks, Thug, for another laugh. By the way, is anyone keeping count of how many times it's going to happen, or happened yesterday, or is just around the corner, in TNT land? Probably can't count that high.
