Pimpy  It's not the job of the World Trade Organization to handle Iraq's currency exchange rate.  That's not what they're there for. It's called the World Trade Organization, not the World Exchange Rate Organization.  

 

Mnt Goat  We heard this week that Al-Sudani again told the citizens that they can expect a “new currency” and so we know its not more of the 3 zero denominations since the CBI told us they are not going to issue the 20K note or any more other of these notes along this line.  So what could this mean? It can only mean fresh new notes of lower denominations reverting back to the currency denominations of the past and finally ditching these 3 zero notes...

Guru Frank26  Here's the Video [below].  Do you see a 50,000 Iraqi note?  Do you see the 3-zeros have been slashed off the 50,000 note?  Isn't that wonderful? Educating the citizens. Those of you who understand Arabic enjoy! Woohoo!  It's not a secret anymore. Everybody knows...It's from the Saudi Arabia area. Quote "The project to delete zeros from the currency is still in place. It was confirmed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq. It means the value of 1,000 note is 1,000 dinars and will be replaced by a note worth one dinar of the new currency."

I don't understand Arabic, but my initial impression is they are doing a LOP. However, it also seems to indicate that it will be better for the people giving them more buying power; and the LOP won't do that. I hope someone who speaks Arabic gives us a synopsis of everything the video says. I don't take Frank's word for it. Where's Walkingstick's & Firefly's commentary - they are Frankie - probably.

This is all good news.

Remember...the new ER will not be found in the WTO membership.

I don’t understand it either but the pictures show a lop. In my opinion. I can only go by the illustrations and it looks like a LOP to me as well. Hopefully someone can interpret what it said! JMHO! 🤠

I agree with this statement but I don’t know who put that video out either! Hopefully it will all work out for us! It sure would be disappointing to say the least, if this event turns out to be a LOP! Like I say there is nobody that knows anything about this RV-RI. I’m not getting my hopes up for anything happening this week. I think there is evidence out that proves that it must be the 1st of their physical year, which is 1-1-25. Hopefully I’m wrong on the assumption! I want this to happen so badly. After seeing the mothers of children lost to these horrible drugs being unleashed on our children and young people, last night at the RNC meeting! The Lord spoke to my heart about this is my opportunity to help save this country! I had never heard the word Tranq before last night. I have heard of drug before because I have used it on one my horses years ago now. But they are mixing it with this Fentanyl. It’s causing peoples skin to rot away. It’s worse than a bed sore. A bed sore is one of the worst things that can happen to you when you become bed ridden! The smell of a bed sore is an odor once you smell it, you never forget the smell. You think a skunk stinks, it smells like a rose compared to an open bed sore! If the IQD does RV at 1-1 . I can assure you, that me myself and I will do our best to to stop this Evil Tranq!!! That's what I'm been expressing concern over.  They'll LOP the zeros off the notes and revalue at the $3.22 number that was the value before the war.  That multiplies their purchasing power by over 4X.  That's a great deal if you're an Iraqi.  And it's a good deal for us.  I've been in this for 15 years.  4X my original investment is a decent return on the money.  But nobody is getting rich off this deal.  Oh well, it was fun to dream.  And it gave us an optimistic focus for many years.   When it seems to be true, it usually is.   I think Adam figured this out a while back, which is why he moved on.   But this has to be the case.  If they try to do a different exchange rate in country rather than out of country, the Iraqi people will just leave the country and cash in their currency elsewhere.  There can't be but one exchange rate.   And with 99 trillion dinar outside the country, there's no possible way they can put a significant value on it.  Even if they value it at a dime,  that's an M1 money supply in excess of $20 trillion dollars.  That's an enormous amount of money!  The M1 money supply for the US is $18 trillion.  And our economy dwarfs theirs.  Somebody please prove me wrong!  Thanks!

While this ALL sounds very promising and good, my common sense doesn't tell me that this is going to happen over night. If he is just now telling his citizens they will have a new currency, how long will that take to educate and get the $$ out? But the other side of that 'common sense' coin is...IF they have a new currency, they have to have a new rate to it, or better value. Now the question is just 'WHEN' will they get this new currency? Hopefully we won't see a soon to come article telling citizens at the beginning of 2025. We've waited long enough! And if they say something like this, that proves or disproves all the gurudiots nonsense about them hiding this from us!

This theory is possible but in no way would "pay for the war". Iraq will pay us back for the war according to President Bush.

There is hardly any doubt that there will be a new currency in Iraq, prolly sooner than later. BUT what WE want is yet to be determined.  NOW is the time to throw all your guru saved links in the recyle bin. It is what it is, it will be whatever it will be.....maybe unfortunately.

I really won't be disappointed like Artitech as we all have been here so long that we expect these setbacks. After all, we are dealing with Iraq. I think that after 15 or 20 years an RV/RI would surprise all of us. Just like the Iraqi populous,  we're use to the ridiculously low value of the Dinar. 

Oh well, if nothing else,  it's been educational and entertaining.

there is the theory that the US can use the dinar they are holding to buy oil from iraq, remember they wil be selling oil in their own currency just another way to pay them back for the cost of the war!

yep....and that why I set up bank accounts in iraq hold dinar over there and hold a **** ton of stocks because one way or another after 20 years I will make some money....I trust no one! even with my shares i would not be surprised if companies do reverse splits ie reduce shares in circulation to drive share price up.....
