Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was fired by the National Security Council and escorted off of the White House grounds, Fox News has confirmed.

 

“Vindman was on detail to the National Security Council from the Department of Defense, and it is expected he will return there,” the report added.

 

Vindman’s attorney, David Pressman, released a statement and confirmed information that Vindman was escorted off White House grounds.

 

“There is no question in the mind of any American why this man’s job is over, why this country now has one less soldier serving it at the White House,” Pressman said.

 

“LTC Vindman was asked to leave for telling the truth. His honor, his commitment to right, frightened the powerful.”

The news comes after reports that the White House was weighing options to dismiss Vindman from the NSC in an effort to shrink its foreign policy bureaucracy. Bloomberg reported Thursday that the White House planned to frame Vindman’s exit as part of an NSC staff downsizing, not retaliation.

President Trump on Friday, when asked about the reports, told reporters that he was “not happy with him.”

“You think I’m supposed to be happy with him? I’m not,” Trump said, adding that a decision will be made soon.

 

Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Mark Esper appeared to welcome the speculation that Vindman could be reassigned back to the Pentagon.

Vindman was a key witness in the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

 

Former Vice President Joe Biden once oversaw Ukraine policy at the same time his son Hunter Biden benefitted in the Ukrainian natural gas business Burisma.

 

Trump suggested in his call with Ukraine’s new president that the Bidens deserved scrutiny.

 

This led Vindman to appear before to the United States Congress to testify in the impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump.

 

The U.S. Senate acquitted President Donald Trump on two articles of impeachment brought on by House Democrats.

 

Now Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg News reports “White House is weighing plan to dismiss Alexander Vindman from National Security Council after he testified in impeachment inquiry, a move that will be part of a broader effort to shrink Trump admin foreign policy bureaucracy, sources tell me.”

 

From Daily Wire:

“The White House intends to portray any house-cleaning as part of a downsizing of the NSC staff, not retaliation,” Bloomberg News reported.

 

“Senior officials were informed on Thursday that some staff would be leaving the White House, the people added. The moves have been in the works since at least last week and could come as soon as Friday.”

 

“The plan to remove Vindman suggests that the White House is feeling emboldened to retaliate against those Trump blames for making him the third U.S. president to be impeached by the House,” Bloomberg News continued.

 

“Vindman has not been told of any change in his status, according to a person close to his legal team, and plans to show up for work until told otherwise. His twin, Yevgeny Vindman, also remains at the NSC and is not aware of any change in his status, that person added.”

 

The Daily Wire previously reported that during the impeachment hearings, Senior NSC official Timothy Morrison, who was the former boss of Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman, testified that Vindman’s bosses had numerous concerns and problems with him.

I agree...he should be court-martialed. I am sick of hearing the Demoncrats crying about it. I guess they have forgotten, President Trump IS the Commander in Chief and can send him and his brother anywhere he wants. If it was me, they would be getting a post in Antartica or the North Pole!

Read again....I said nothing about Trump. Trump can fire anyone he likes. Karsten made several accusations about Vindman’s brother. About him reading Bolton’s book, leaking info to the media, and the kicker.......a mole selling info to Iran All I asked was does he have proof or just guessing. Alex Vindman was discussed in a previous thread......some posted below......his brother was one of a few reviewing Boltons book manuscripts....and as soon as he was taken off the project the leaks stopped.....

 

No worries....both have been reassigned.....they can continue on in another Job unless it is discovered they were colluding to oust Trump.....and given the Military affiliation.....that would be charged as treason......so perhaps this bold warrior who wrote himself up for a Purple Heart for ringing in the ears.....and returned to work the next day......will get his just reward....   CL

Some additional facts on Vindman......

 

He did complete Ranger training........he was not well liked because he didn't work well with others.....during training there is a peer evaluation program......teammates wanted him gone......but, he had a valuable skill set.....he spoke Russian and Ukrainian....he became a Ranger...

 

Oddly with his citations he has no Bronze Star....which can be awarded for Merit or Valor....this would be a typical award for successful command during a combat deployment......

 

We know he was in a combat zone.......because he has a Purple Heart.......what is that story?

 

The vehicle he was in received fire.......in his own words the other day he mentioned he was back to work the next day.......he must be some tough SOB......

 

Seems Vindman was responsible for writing up the after action report......in it he recommended himself, and others involved for a Purple Heart.......his injury.....a ringing in the ears......something a kin to tinnitus....

 

Reminds me of John Kerry spending 4 months in Nam.....receiving 3 Purple Hearts......you can't make this stuff up......

 

Now some opinion.....

Vindman did not follow the chain of command......(actually a fact)......he could be discharged for that.....

 

He is also the individual that leaked to the whistleblower.....and who has led the country down this path......he is no hero.....

so spiritual strength is what we are running on now. We are being told she should start to feel better about her new home and it should be better for us.

Spiritually strength....strength from the Lord is the only strength that gets us thru the disparing times.  It is His strength  that He has promised to you and me and all that believe upon His holy word.  He will guide you thru all of this and give you the peace and joy to carry you.  When we put it completely in His hands then we find rest within our souls knowing that His will will be done and His purpose is always good.  He strengthens our faith in times such as these.  Nstool, I pray for your peace and rest and know that your faith will carry you thru.  Sometimes it's hard to give it all over to Him but when we do our souls are lifted from the heartache and worry.  Your family is in my prayers

Thanks Laic. We have been praying to Him to give mom some peace and calm. I know she must be feeling scared and disoriented.

She has Macular Degeneration and memory loss with some dementia thrown In. My wife asked me if what we are doing is so right why does she feel like a terrible daughter?

I told her she is doing what is right for her mother and after she gets settled in they can have a mother/daughter relation instead of being the bad guy.

Time will heal this and God is there helping things along.

Just a short note on this.  My mon had Parkinson's disease and dementia.  We moved her to private home. Her furniture, her stuff and capable nurses to properly care for her needs.  She was happy there and even had friends.  They were able to meet her needs in a home like atmosphere that we could not provide for her as we worked.  I too felt much guilt but after the adjustment she was very content, happy and thought that "her" house was large enough to accommodate the people she loved.  We would go have meals with her. She still got her hair and nails done weekly.  We always took her treats/candy and I would pick her up and take her to the mall shopping.  When I would ask if she was ready to leave and if she was tired she would always say no but of course not because I was wheeling her around in a wheel chair.  Wonderful but sad memories.  Love never fades and the best of memories always out weighs the sad ones.  Be patient with her and your wife.  I know guilt and the search for what is right and best for our moms.  Be patient.
