Because most people, particularly rural folks, are born and raised to be Republican or Democrat....there is no give.  I had to get out in the world to see the other side of things.  As always, just my opinion.

As I said before Pelosi has been a Catholic all of her life, she should know better. Trump not so much as he's still learning rhe walk and is still drinking milk.

Correct.....She should know it's her Christian duty to pray for Trump, which she claims she is.  Seems reasonable as a Christian to take her at her word.

Will do.  You didn't respond to my Pelosi comment though.  What are you thoughts?  What makes her less faithful or thruthful than Trump, other than your dislike of that (D) behind her name?

She says she is Catholic yet supports a party that condones abortion even fights for it.

I am not even speaking about the rare cases of incest or rape. That has it own space for discussion.

I am speaking of late term, partial birth and after birth abortions.

I don't see how any person of faith can support the Democratic platform just on that reason alone.

Your reason might have been valid before the advancement of the internet or tv but today I think people are more connected than ever. It is harder not to see the world than to see it.

At least we all agree that it's a good thing for our country that the attempted coup against the POTUS failed, and we all look forward to Trump continuing the step-by-step exposure of the criminals using their office to enrich themselves via drug and human trafficking,  bribes,  money laundering, etc.

That's a valid point....It could also be said that a person can find any information they want on the internet to fulfill any desired agenda they wish to perpetuate....Most sites will tell you right up front where they stand just by clicking "about".

So she comes out publicly and says what a horrible man he is.  You cannot be praying for someone and have that attitude towards them. It is spiritually impossible, unless she has the wrong spirit inside her.

You've stated you give Trump a pass because he's a rookie with regards to being a Christian, and therefore his use of the word "horrible" when describing others is simply unfortunate, yet okay because of his rube status.....I myself can't say that he doesn't know better, as every "new" Christian I ever encountered did their best to be the best at their newfound life in God's light......So, with that said and that being your stance, I must respectfully agree to disagree with you on your comment.

It has everything to do with it.....Most of those folks will grow up to be exactly who they were raised to be....truth won't matter.  Millions of people in this country still vote straight tickets....uneducated straight ticket decisions....rather than taking some time to research each issue, or candidate.  And they're proud to inform others of what they did.....It's the craziest thing.

I was addressing Pelosis saying that she Prays for Trump.

From my experience, If she was "actually praying" for Trump she would have a whole different attitude towards him.   You can't go into His Throne Room in Prayer and not have it affect your heart towards the one you are praying for.

This thread may seem amusing to some but the level of disrespect towards each other, if not curtailed, will become what DV is most remembered for.

Personally, I'm finding it more difficult each day to maintain my own level of respect for others because of the kind of posting here.

And to be truthful I don't want to be that kind of person anymore.

Think about your comments people, you may regret them later.

I know I've recently made a post without thinking and caused considerable issues with people I care about.

Nice dodge.....who do you support system" rel="">support?.....and who are these phantoms you have worked for?........I have been very open about my political advocacy....even started a thread on it....yet you seem to label me as a Trump guy........until you post some specifics on your leanings....I call more dog faced pony soldier BS.........   CL

I worked and created all the commercials for congressman Zach Wamp in 1992 and 1996... I spent countless hours with him and his people. I've worked for mayoral clients, state representatives, sheriffs, county commissioners. I know senators, governors, I have spent a lot of my career getting politicians elected. I'm very good at what I do. But being in the business, I became sick and tired of the dirty game of politics. In 1996 the republicans campaigned on The Contract with America. A promise to install term limits. Their lie, got them elected. They gained power of the house and then forgot about it. As did most dumb ass voters. They paraded around backing candidates, proud of their support to the promise. And in the end they (the voters) were too stupid to know they had been conned, There were never going to be term limits, just propaganda to win their trust. And yet here are 30 years later and voters are still too stupid to know they are being conned by the 2 party system.

DOJ Files Lawsuits Against NJ and County in Washington Over Dangerous Sanctuary Policies

Posted: February 11, 2020

Attorney General Bill Barr announced yesterday that the Department of Justice has filed lawsuits against the sanctuary state of New Jersey and a county in Washington for policies which protect criminal illegal aliens.

During a speech to the National Sheriffs’ Association Winter Legislative and Technology Conference, Barr said the DOJ was filing a complaint against the state of New Jersey “seeking declaratory and injunctive relief against its laws that forbid state and local law enforcement from sharing vital information about criminal aliens with DHS.”

“Let us state the reality upfront and as clearly as possible: When we are talking about sanctuary cities, we are talking about policies that are designed to allow criminal aliens to escape. These policies are not about people who came to our country illegally but have otherwise been peaceful and productive members of society,” he said. “Their express purpose is to shelter aliens whom local law enforcement has already arrested for other crimes. This is neither lawful nor sensible.”

Barr also announced a lawsuit against King County, Washington for its policy which bans ICE agents from using the local airport to deport or transport criminal illegals. The policy went into effect last spring. Over eight years, the airport was a hub for the deportation of over 30,000 illegal immigrants.

Barr cited this policy as an example of how local leftist leaders have “become even more aggressive in their attempts to interfere with federal immigration laws.”

“Innocent people are routinely threatened and hurt by illegal aliens whom local jurisdictions have set free in the face of federal immigration detainers,” he said.

Barr then listed examples of the dangers posed by these reckless policies, including an illegal alien who–once released from custody–went on to rape a 97-year-old woman and another who murdered and dismembered their own cousin:

  • “In November, ICE filed a detainer for an alien who was arrested for assaulting his own father.  The local police in New York City that had the alien in custody ignored the detainer.  So the alien was released onto the streets, and last month, he allegedly raped and killed 92-year-old Maria Fuertes, affectionately known as “abuelita,” a fixture of her Queens neighborhood.
  • In October 2017, DHS identified a convicted criminal alien with four prior removals at a city jail in Washington State.  DHS filed a detainer.  Subsequently, the alien fought with jail staff and was taken to a local medical center for treatment.  But after receiving treatment, local officials released the alien in violation of the detainer.  In January 2018, the alien was arrested and booked for murdering and dismembering his cousin.”

Barr stated the Department of Justice was reviewing policies and laws of jurisdictions across the country and will assess whether they are compliant with criminal laws which include the statute which prohibits the harboring of illegal aliens in the U.S.

You know, LadyGrace'sDaddy, I am one who appreciates You and Your posts. I am awed by Your compassionate AND truthful responses.

My own experience has lead to a conclusion that there really are core foundational principles that are beneficial individually and corporately. Some take issue and demonstrate their own aversion to or repulsion of what is Decent, Reasonable, and based on none other than Common Sense.

Common Sense I highly value from like minded posters.

This really is a stand. A stand for what THIS Great Nation was built on AND what makes THIS Great Nation Successful.

A shame, really, the keyboard combatants are so compelled to attempt to turn the tide to an unsustainable and self elimination state to deprive all of hard fought and blood shed sacrifice so we, too, would pay the same forward for the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for We The People.

At the Revolution, 1/3 were Patriots, 1/3 were loyalists to the Crown, and 1/3 were in the middle.

Today, 1/3 are Patriots, 1/3 are whacked Liberals and Progressives, and 1/3 are apathetic and just want to live and let live and be left alone.

The Patriots secured the rights for all We The People and continue to do so.

THIS Great Nation depends on The Patriots.

Yeah, I'll stand and be counted as A True The United States Of America Patriot come what may.

I lived in California for 60 years. 42 of those years I voted. I learned in all those years that when I voted(very rarely) for a Democrat, because they said they were a moderate, it turned out I just compromised myself with more laws that took away my rights. I will always vote straight ticket, unless the candidate choice is even worse. I do research and then make a decision. My mother may have raised an ugly child, but she did not raise a dummy, or a lemming, or a rube. I have not gotten where I am in life being stupid. I got there with the Grace of God, hard work, loving parents, a great wife. Think twice before insulting people you don't know by calling them uneducated.

With respect to your voting history.....I consider you to be an anomaly.  I simply don't believe the vast majority of people who vote straight ticket, because they were raised that way, put the effort forth to educate themselves....that goes for straight ticket voters on the Left as well as the Right.  It's simply my opinion as I've seen it time and time again.
