Minister of Planning, Nuri al-Dulaimi, on Thursday, the launch of the disbursement of about 67 billion dinars within the investment budget of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities. 
Al-Dulaimi said in a statement received by Mawazine News that he had approved "the release of about 67 billion dinars, as part of the ministry's efforts to implement more service projects by the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Municipalities and Public Works at the national level." 
He explained that "the amount of (46) billion (800) million dinars has been approved within the annual allocations for the projects of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, Municipalities and Public Works listed in the tables of the investment budget for 2019." 
He continued: "While approved to increase the total cost of the sewage project (Husseiniya - Baghdad) by (20) billion and (169) million dinars to become worth after this increase (115) and (607) million dinars."
The Minister of Planning authorized the concerned authorities in the Ministry of Construction and Housing with the powers of implementation and disbursement, taking into account the commitment of the instructions and powers for implementation of the investment budget for the year 2019. "

Direct: Iraqi Planning Minister Nuri Sabah al-Dulaimi, the meeting of the Higher Committee for the development of the private sector, in the presence of a number of representatives of relevant bodies in the central government and the private sector.

During the meeting, they discussed means of enhancing the investment environment and national industries, and providing suitable conditions for the return of migratory capital.

The minister said, according to a statement to the Ministry of Planning, that the ministry is seeking greater empowerment of the private sector to be a real partner, pointing out that the share of the private sector will be 40 percent of the volume of investments in Iraq during the next phase.

Al-Dulaimi added that the ministry followed an approach to support the national industries by taking a package of reforms in the procedures, instructions and drafts of laws. He continued his efforts to form a specialized council to develop the private sector during the coming period.

The statement said that the council will include representatives of the public and private sectors, and will provide strategic studies to provide the necessary support and development to lead the private sector for economic development under the supervision of the public sector, which will be responsible for the formulation of economic and development policies.

The meeting discussed the mechanisms, criteria, tasks and roles of the private sector development council to be formed during the coming period, and the involvement of local and foreign private banks in financing productive projects.

Minister of Planning Nuri Sabah al-Dulaimi said that the ministry is seeking greater empowerment of the private sector to be a real partner, pointing out that "the share of the private sector will be 40 percent of the volume of investments that will be witnessed by Iraq during the next phase."

"The ministry has followed an approach to support the national industries by taking a package of reforms in the procedures, instructions and drafts of laws," a statement by the Ministry of Planning said. Baghdad governorate has issued 30% of the dues of the implementing contractors for service projects in the light of obtaining the approval of the competent authorities in the Ministry of Planning with a total amount of 51 billion dinars. According to priority projects and ratios
