BAGHDAD / Hassan Shammari:

Description leader of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki on Saturday, the demonstrations as "farce", threatening Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi using his influence in the EP and the crowd to shut off.

A senior leader of the Dawa Party, in remarks seen by "Sky Press," that "al-Maliki said that he would use Alacatadth army and the crowd to stop the demonstrations, adding that

"This farce should not pass them the government."

Maliki has threatened, according to the leader of the Dawa Party, who requested anonymity, said: "If al-Abadi did not stop the demonstrations would I behave," noting that "the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, the following is what al-Maliki, under the guidance of Baghdad Operations Command to deal firmly with any breach ".

He noted leader of the Dawa Party, that "al-Maliki said, even the prime minister must be changed."

And announced that the Baghdad Operations Command on Friday, for the lack of any official approval for a demonstration near the opposite intersection to the gate of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and as pointed out "armed Thacdat" belonging to some of the followers of the Sadrist officials blamed them of responsibility for any security breach or damage to public and private property .

Tens of thousands, Friday, in front of the Green Zone in central Baghdad, to demand reforms in state institutions and combating corruption.

with the power that Maliki still apparently has, really having doubts about an RV occurring for while. Maliki is creating to much turmoil. They just can't seem to get their act together on the govt, who runs it etc...

No investor in their right mind would invest in this unstable place. That concerns me.

Wow I'm so sick of reading about this potatoe head someone shut this idiot up once and for all ...one makes you wonder if abadis balls are big enough to turn that country around ...time will tell I suppose

The Dawa Party may be going away.  Seems like another article is showing a new party forming that will draw parliamentarians from the Dawa Party where Maliki has significant influence. This new party apparently intends to address corruption and I suspect Maliki will in no way, shape, or form fit in there.  With things morphing as they are now, I suspect the levers Maliki used to use in Iraq will no longer be there and Maliki's days are numbered.

Late April or early May 2016 could be a better indicator of the stability of Iraq as a country.  I remain hopeful with all the initiatives taking place in Iraq and the international support.

Thank You, Yota, for this and all the other articles you bring over.  I am hoping they can better the 150 lawmakers by a few to, say, 170 so they have a majority and overwhelm and extinguish any remaining Dawa party influences.

Maliki is threatening another genocide and coup blatantly.   If that enough to choke the unholy crap out of him, I don't know what they would be waiting for.   This is so ridiculous.  why is he acting like he is part of the goi, he's been tossed and what about mahmoud, is that who is helping him still!!!!  they're going to hang for treason, corruption, embezzlement, genocide, conspiracy and that's just the tip of the iceberg.  But, really, still playing with this guy.  No doubt the last two bombing in baghdad was under his and iran's command,. Abadi is about to fix it and maliki and iran is getting very desperate.
