Yea I wouldnt count your chickens yet.....when it states reducing the value of the dinar against the dollar thats talking about its exchange rate....meaning making the dinar less valuable then it already is.....

Now if its stating reducing the value of the dollar against the dinar then its talking the other way around which would be good......but its saying both....and it doesnt make much sense for a central bank to announce to the world that its going to raise its value....especially not in the way we are expecting....maybe a few points yes, but to make a large jump in value and tell the world about it would be suicide against itself....no one would let their dinar go and people would buy out any and all availible dinar....there would be a rush on the banks to purchase as much as possible and lord knows Shabibi does not want to be liable for spending the reserves they have taken so long to build up to pay out speculators.

We can only wait for tomorrow and see what arse backwards, conflicting article comes out about this same topic.....back when they moved the dinar to 1166 they almost immediately said they were working on getting the dinar up to an even 1000 and nothing has happened so I wouldnt expect a quick resolve to this.....maybe they will stun us all and move the value up a little more in the next couple days....bringing it to an even 1000 to 1 against the USD would be a nice start....

Well to me Darin there is only one way the dinar will go and its up and since its pegged to the US dollar then well you see where im going with this

If the world seperates oil from the dollar, petrodollar if you please, then the dollar will fall off a cliff. the dinar will be worth more than the dollar:huh:

With the CBI stepping in and taking control of Warka, I am guessing that no one could necessarily come in and " buy up Iraq". The CBI controls their currency auctions. Public education in part of those massive TV screens erected, supposedly.. But the questions linger still in my mind, have I become a doubting Thomas, or do I just trust Iraq to be Iraq? ( Could there really be smoke and fire this time?)

With all do respect friend it has been stated in several articles that a 1000% increase to the USD to de-dollarize the country. I wish I had them close to me, but I dont.. A lil help folks!! While I respect your opinion and would die for you to state it, it just exciting because i got in in april of 05 and this is very..and i mean VERY fast progress over the last 7 years..... Perhaps our time has come, and perhaps the Iraqi's will return to thier former glory.... Remember... The whole reason I got invested in this was that HISTORY ALWAYS REPEATS ITSELF!! I sincerely don't believe they are going to make the dinar worth less than it already is. There would be no way of them attracting any such foreign investments if this were the case. Im not going to jump for joy or jump to any conclusion yet but it does appear they are headed to revaluating their currency.

I think Iraq double speaks for sure. But right now I think they mean to raise the value. How much? I don't know, they thought 4 pips was a big deal, but not even the Iraqi people fell for that one.

I guess we have to look at the many positives we have read today, Iraq means to impress their company. The answers to their intentions might be clearer in the days forward. Today I am loving it. Enjoying the articles we have been reading. All positive, without one debbie downer article. And that my friend is refreshing.
