{Economic: Al-Furat News} Rafidain Bank announced today, Wednesday, the suspension of credit activity of all kinds and not to promote applications for loans and other banking services.
 
 

Due to the approaching end of the fiscal year and for the purposes of application in force annually and to allow the liquidation of detainees and the preparation of statistics and annual inventory.

The Bank will resume promotion work during the next year 2024

{Economic: Al-Furat News} The Iraqi Trade Bank decided to stop working with remittances as of next Sunday.
 

In a statement received by Al-Furat News, the bank explained the reason for suspending the work of financial transfers: "For purposes related to the annual inventory, it was decided to stop working with financial transfers starting from Sunday, 24/12/2023," noting that "the deadline for receiving requests for financial transfer will be Thursday, 21/12/2023."

"This service will resume on Wednesday, 03/01/2024."

That’s a great question. One might think end of year stuff, but with everything else going on it sure makes it suspenseful.

normally i would say yes, but twith all the articles and timing on Jan 1 2024 looming on the horizon I would say that at some point they would need to close out old processes and system and start a fresh under the new system, this makes sense considering no more USD in commercial transactions starting Jan 1 2024...Thunderbirds?
