The Parliamentary Energy Committee settled, on Saturday, the controversy over the issue of the questioning of the Minister of Electricity, "Majid Hantoush," under the dome of the House of Representatives in its next sessions.

 
A member of the committee, Amjad Al-Oqabi, told Al-Furat News that "there is no such thing as an interrogation of the Minister of Electricity, and it is not completely presented and there is nothing to be questioned by the minister."

It is noteworthy that Parliament is heading to question the Minister of Electricity, Majid Mahdi Hantoush, in light of fears of a possible collapse of the system, after the aggravation of the crisis of declining hours of supplying national electricity in Baghdad and the provinces of the Middle Euphrates again, in conjunction with high temperatures and the outbreak of the Corona virus.  
 

Al-Uqabi added, 

"As for the oil and gas law, it will be transferred to the next parliamentary session for controversy over its provisions.

Al-Oqabi indicated, "But if Hayat, the presidency of Parliament, insists on going ahead with it, we will have 5 months before he dissolves himself to run for the early elections to be held on October 10, 2021," hopefully.

He pointed out that "removing Iraq from the British list, which classifies dangerous countries in the issue of money laundering and terrorist funds, will be a pillar in maximizing the international investment climate and international investors to work in Iraq and invest in it in all fields without legal risks or exposing them to accountability for that, as well as expanding Prospects for safe credit dealing between Iraqi banks and British banks, which will provide lines of credit to all Iraqi banks by British banks at the lowest costs in conducting banking transactions.

Finance calls on spending units of all ministries to review them to receive instructions for implementing the budget

Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Finance announced the completion of the instructions for implementing the 2021 Federal Budget Law, approved by the Presidency of the Republic.

In a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, the ministry said that due to the legislation and the publication of Law No. 23 of 2021, the federal state budget of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal year 2021 in the official Iraqi newspaper Al-Waqi’a issue No. 4625 on April 12, 2021

That the Iraqi economy, through study, analysis, capabilities, and available factors, can overcome imbalances, deviations, and poor performance in the economic structure and achieve balanced and varied economic and structural reforms of the economy, with the premise of exceeding the objective and subjective economic conditions in the country.

And to stimulate, encourage and support the private sector in accordance with the vision of the private sector development strategy (2014-2030), which is based on the provisions of Article 25 of the Constitution, which states (the development of a vibrant and prosperous national private sector that is locally initiated, regionally competitive and globally integrated with the aim of achieving economic diversity, sustainable development and job creation ) With the necessary and appropriate step. 

And the need to leave the rentier economy based on 93% of oil revenues and to develop other vital economic sectors, agricultural, industrial, and tourism through, restructuring state-owned industries and a gradual shift towards the private sector, and encouraging partnerships with local and foreign investors as well as reviewing the legislative environment for the work. Industry and the provision of infrastructure to secure the requirements of the work environment, and the expansion of the establishment of industrial zones.
 
The promotion of agricultural production and livestock, the provision of effective supplies and treatments for fields and farms, maintenance of irrigation and drainage projects, support for agricultural products intended for export, improvement of seed quality and state guarantee of prices, as well as support for small and medium enterprises and the granting of soft loans, ensure the availability of the elements of resilience and economic advancement.

And stimulating the productive sectors in agriculture, industry and tourism, and reviewing the structure and presentation of the public budget.
 
It is imperative to point out here to the deficiency of the legislative environment for managing the economy and the laws that regulate economic work, which calls for reconsideration and fundamental modifications for all of them in line with the new situation of managing the economy, to reduce the unemployment cases that rose to more than 30 percent and the poverty rate that exceeded 30 percent, which are two negative indicators They indicate the aggravation of the Iraqi economy crisis.
