Special - Mawazin News
A parliamentary source revealed, Sunday, the reason for postponing the election of the House of Representatives to the President of the Republic.
The source said in an interview with "Mawazin News" that "the Kurdish dispute over the party to take over the post behind the postponement."
He added that "the Kurdistan Democratic Party submitted a candidate and the National Union submitted candidates and therefore difficult to get any candidate enough votes to install him as President of Iraq."
He pointed out that "the next few days it is possible to witness the withdrawal of some candidates for the position and shorten the list of candidates and the agreement between the political blocs on the remaining vote and the choice of the President of the Republic."
It is noteworthy that the number of candidates for the post of President of the Republic reached 18 candidates, including a woman, all of them Kurds.

It was supposed to elect the President of the Republic in next Tuesday's session, but the statement of the Information Service of the House of Representatives on the meeting is free of the paragraph of the election of the President.

Deputies start registering their names in parliamentary committees

BAGHDAD - The deputy of the construction coalition Amer al-Fayez, on Tuesday 25 September 2018, revealed the start of the registration of deputies in the parliamentary committees for the current session, indicating that the selection of the chairman of the committee will not take place before the formation of the government to prevent the chairmanship of a parliamentary committee and the same minister of party

Fayez said in a statement followed by the obelisk, that "the agenda of the session of the parliament for the day Tuesday includes hosting ministers specialized in services to discuss the crisis in Basra and the most important developments in which including the Ministers of Health and reconstruction and housing, as well as discuss the formation of permanent parliamentary committees without talking about a candidate for the presidency.

He added Fayez, "The deputies began to register their names to join the committees according to competence and political consensus between the blocks."

He explained that "the political custom obliges the House of Representatives not to name the head of a committee in the same jurisdiction with a minister of the same bloc, which means that the naming of the presidents of the past will be the formation of the next government."
