You must have skipped post #8. All disputed.

Did the welfare office send you people a notice that you have to defend Obama or they won't send you your welfare check and food stamps anymore?

I think you may be on to something DM - with the DNC in full swing, I'm sure all the libs have been given their "talking points" and we're in for a $h!t storm of it this week! ;) Keep settin' 'em up.....we'll keep knockin' 'em down.

SUMMER JOBS ARE OVER NOW . should see a jump in unemployment for the election

the only choice now is to do the things they claim are impossible to do .. people are not accepting govt work .. they dont have money to pay .. in illinois some gas stations dont except state trooper credit cards for gasoline any more .. the govt doesnt pay its bills for over 6 months .. they are broke .. ya obama has everything under control .. borrow money to pay ste bills .. then just print money for himself to loan out to banks through the fed.. hes as crooked as they come

Great post. Let me add for the first time ever we have an elected president for 3 years in a row who fill 's he doesn't need to publish are budget to the american citizens.

Who spent 20 million dollars of tax payers money on a failed green jobs. And after "they either went bankrupt ",or went overseas to china still wanted to continue paying them with are taxdollars.

Who spent billions of are tax dollars on G.M and chyrsler to save unions high paying jobs. Instead of letting them filing bankruptcy and reorganize to be competitive with the market. Well ther government sold the stock (chrysler)to Fiat at a 2 billions dollar loss to the U.S taxpayer expense. And G.M just announcing that they sold china G.M stock and technology. .

One of obamas biggest (money)backer G.E just annouced that they are laying off thousands of workers at their plants and going overseas to china.

Who has a energy secretary that thinks 4 dollars a gallion at the gas pump is not enough

Who has spent a record 5 trillion and counting on are deficiet. They say every day that goes by ,we are another 1.5 billion in debt in interest on are deficiet. And he's wanting another stimulus after the other big failure of no new jobs created. Not counting are high unemploment and 40% percent loss of small bussiness across the country and 4.3 million new people on barrys welfare plan. Yea he's proably thinking he's doing a hell of a good job..

25 Reasons Why We are Better Off Today than Four Years Ago

by joelgp

Are we better-off than we were four years ago?

What?

Child please you done lost your last freakin’ mind even asking that question!!!

.

In the Fall of 2008, Bush was running around—“ahhh, ahhhh, America’s going bankrupt.“ Ben Bernake was sweating like he just ran a marathon, McCain yelling “incoming, incoming, git off my lawn” – OBL making videos while Americans were dodging bullets in Iraq.

America was the laughing stock of the world with shoes being thrown at the president. Stock market crashing, banks failing while Paul Ryan was borrowing the money from China that he’s railing about now.

And then, in steps the hated Kenya, Communist, Socialist, Muslim and look at what he’s done in four years…people:

1. Saved the banks

2. Brought the stock market from 6,500K to 13,000K

3. Saved GM

4. Repealed DADT

5. Ordered a Mini Dream Act

6. Created 4.3 million jobs

7. 27- straight months of private-sector job growth

8. Passed Healthcare

9. Ended the war in Iraq

10. Drawing down from Afghanistan

11. Doubled the Number of Border Security Agents

12. Appointed First Hispanic Justice

13. Restored America’s Standing in the world

14. Dealt effectively with the BP Oil Spill

15. Dealt effectively with the Pirate Crisis

16. Dealt effectively with H1N1

17. Kept America Safe

18. Passed Financial Reform

19. Passed a Credit-Card Bill of Rights

20. Passed Equal Pay for Women

21. Nearly Wiped out Al Qaeda

22. Killed OBL

23. Added Eight-yeas of solvency to Medicare

24. Quit smoking

25. And got a dog

All of this was done with a republican opposition to every single thing he tried to do.

So yes, not only are we better off now, we’ll be even better four years from now with Obama’s leadership!!!

They don't think we're better off than four years ago?

Child please...

Somebody get this poor girl a cold towel with ice, she must of hit her head, or quite possibly busted her butt and bruised her brains!

Prime example to my post.

Right on par with your other post that didn't make any sense either. Well, as long as it makes sense in your little world, I suppose that's all that matters to the small minded Marxist individuals such as yourself. One day, if you ever make something of yourself, instead of feeding off the labors of others, you may wake up and realize, you get out of life, what you put into it. Then, and only then, will you know the pride of feeling like a real American, that makes it on his own, instead of off the backs of others. But, until then, you'll keep bowing to the likes of Marxist such as Obama, dreaming of the Marxist utopia, where you hope to get something for nothing.

Obama didn't end the war in Iraq. Just pulled us out to early which is part of the problem over there right now. He doesn't care about Iraq and Bush had the withdrawl already layed out and in place before he left office. Obama is taking credit for things he had nothing to due with.

Another premium example of post #18, weak and condescending remarks. And you'd like to believe those remarks. How frivolous. :tiphat:

5 trillion in obama debt. more people unemployed than when obama took office. more people on foodstamps. Obamacare...the biggest tax ever on the u.s. economy. i was way better off 4 years ago. wheres bush when you need him

When jobs are lost people revert to unemployment insurance and some eventually to government assistance. Debt rises because less taxes paid. Where's Bush when you need him to do what? Didn't he do enough in those 8 years? Didn't you get your fill by 2007, 2008 or 2009 - even 2010? Country recovering from policies and decisions by Bush & Cheney from 2001 through 2009. Without the new directions the economy could have been several times worse by 2010. Whoever wins in 2012 will receive the credit for a recovery that has begun despite McConnell's and Republican's priority to risk the country's welfare just to spite the Democrats.

I'm disappointed on how the politicians from both sides have separated our great country. And it's been going on for years. I think we all want the same thing. Affordable health care for all (I've never met a poor Dr.), stable economy and job growth. They each play the blame game and we pay the price for their fighting and inability to find common ground.

It saddens me what the future holds for my young kids, cause it looks grim. sad.gif

Good example. every year that Obama has been president the unemployment rate has gone up and he blames Bush.

how many years does he have to be in office before it is his fault?

The thing that scares me the most about this next election is that the 51% of the voters that gets more from the government than they pay in, out number those of us that pay more than we get. And I know who they are going to vote for. The person that tells them that they are entitled to share in my hard work.

I am in Afganistan at this time working and I can tell you that the Taliban know that we are leaving and have already step up there attacks on soft targets and can hardly wait to take over again.

Way to go Mr. President. Nothing like telegraphing your moves to the enemy.

Can you not read and comprehend a chart or table / there's no other explanation.

I'm with you Elixirbaby. There's no working together when there's animosity and blame. Government policies carryover, policies don't end when a political official retire; that's understandable and reflects on their administration. That's a fact... but people assume it's a silly observation.

We were much better off 4 years ago also... my husband was a contractor making plenty, now he's a sub contractor making half of what he was.. Business is finally picking up around here but it's more rebuilding from storm damage than the overall economy improving.. I know it's an unpopular sentiment but I miss Bush also..

Can I assume your husband's financial position changed between 2008 and 2009?

Yes I can read a chart and you are correct. I should have said that every year that Obama has been in office the unemployment rate has been significantly higher than any of the Bush years.

But I do want to know when it will be his fault and not Bush's? When is our commander and chief going to say the buck stop's here? And not pass it?

Nevertheless, by reading the table, stress in the economics of the U.S. were running rampant. Job losses and company closings peaked (9.7) due to the policies and economic downturn in the U.S. and worldwide, before unemployment started downward (8.3).

Jun 1, 2012 8.20% Obama in Office

Jan 1, 2012 8.30% "

Jan 1, 2011 9.00% "

Jan 1, 2010 9.70% "

Jan 1, 2009 7.70% Obama in Office

Jan 1, 2008 5.00% Bush in Office, Bush policies; economic disaster

Phase one on 9 August 2007 began with the seizure in the banking system precipitated by BNP Paribas announcing that it was ceasing activity in three hedge funds that specialised in US mortgage debt. This was the moment it became clear that there were tens of trillions of dollars worth of dodgy derivatives swilling round which were worth a lot less than the bankers had previously imagined.

Nobody knew how big the losses were or how great the exposure of individual banks actually was, so trust evaporated overnight and banks stopped doing business with each other.

It took a year for the financial crisis to come to a head but it did so on 15 September 2008 when the US government allowed the investment bank Lehman Brothers to go bankrupt. Up to that point, it had been assumed that governments would always step in to bail out any bank that got into serious trouble: the US had done so by finding a buyer for Bear Stearns while the UK had nationalised Northern Rock.

When Lehman Brothers went down, the notion that all banks were "too big to fail" no longer held true, with the result that every bank was deemed to be risky. Within a month, the threat of a domino effect through the global financial system forced western governments to inject vast sums of capital into their banks to prevent them collapsing. The banks were rescued in the nick of time, but it was too late to prevent the global economy from going into freefall. Credit flows to the private sector were choked off at the same time as consumer and business confidence collapsed. All this came after a period when high oil prices had persuaded central banks that the priority was to keep interest rates high as a bulwark against inflation rather than to cut them in anticipation of the financial crisis spreading to the real economy.

The winter of 2008-09 saw co-ordinated action by the newly formed G20 group of developed and developing nations in an attempt to prevent recession turning into a slump.

More than one-fifth of Americans (21.8 percent) defined as dependent for the purposes of this Index may or may not be sufficiently high to trigger this concern. Though, this percentage jumps to 29.5 percent when federal and state employees are included. In 1962, the sum of these two categories (Index participants and government employees) stood at 33.6 million, 18 percent of the total population. This total grew to 91.2 million (29.5 percent of the total population) by the end of 2010, an increase of 163 percent.
